McGivern has won a lifelong customer. Theyve come to my rescue not just once but twice to get my now wife the perfect rings. First with the engagement ring they kept their price match promise and not only met the online price I had found for the diamond I wanted but they made sure to bring it in for when I was in town visiting my parents. The stone was set before I left that weekend. They then were able to resize it slightly on my next trip with my fiance. Finally just a few weeks ago they matched a price on a diamond wedding band and sized it to her exact needs within a short turn around with no hesitation as we finally had decided on the band for the wedding and were traveling quickly. I hope to not be such a difficult customer in the future but I will always be a customer!

I feel like buying jewelry can be a little intimidating since there are so many options out there, but McGivern will be my only stop going froward. The owner worked DIRECTLY with me by first asking lots of questions so he could really understand what I was looking for, then provided enough options where I felt comfortable making a decision but not too many where I was overwhelmed. And its important to note that this was for a relatively inexpensive Valentines day gift so I can only image what he does for someone shopping for something like an engagement ring. To top it all off, much of the conversation was done online which made it super easy! I have purchased diamonds from Mike in the past and have always be pleased with his knowledge, recommendations, and service. When my daughters fiance asked if I could help him choose an engagement ring, I turned to McGivern Daiamonds. Mike assisted us in selecting a high quality GIA diamond at a very good price. My daughter wanted a halo mounting, and there were several available. Mike provided great input on the settings. My daughter is thrilled with her beautiful ring.

I had one ring remade and another repaired. They were sent to his designer. The remade ring is slightly different than the original but is much more durable and contemporary. It nests with the other ring nicely. The repaired one had an issue and Michael and his goldsmith decided to redo the heads and prongs on the ring on site instead of touching them up. The work was done promptly.

While it’s surely a very small thing to anyone else, the rings Mike made for my sons hold incredible meaning in my family. The ring is gold with a lapis stone with a family crest from Scotland carved into it. It is incredibly detailed and should be intricate enough that you can use it to seal wax. It does. The tradition goes back generations for us. Every one of us receives it when we graduate high school or turn 18. I had a moment last night when both boys were home and wearing their rings and I actually choked up. It means they’re grown and heading to chart their own course. For a dad who is struggling a bit with that transition, the symbol of connection amidst transition that the rings represent meant a lot. Thanks for making that possible for us.

My first step in shopping for an engagement ring was a quick google search. I was hoping to find a local store as opposed to a big box. Honestly, after reading the outstanding google reviews spanning YEARS, I decided to stop into the store one afternoon on my lunch break and check it out. I was so comfortable with Mike and his staff, if I had known exactly what I wanted out of the ring, I would have bought it that day. I never went anywhere else. I found the prices to be right in line with what I was expecting (perhaps even less) and the quality and GIA certifications were a must to help make me confident I was buying the best. All this to say, Mike and I emailed back and forth for a couple weeks as he helped me select the perfect ring. I returned to the store once more to make the purchase, and again 2-3 weeks later (exactly as promised) to pick up the ring.
