Its a great place to shop. The citizens are crazy so watch what you say or do. The staff is peaceful and controlled by managers. Security watches everything so dont ever steal here. Other than that, it has everything you can imagine to shop and the best deals on certain days of the week. The store has a wide variety of items to choose from but their products are not always fresh especially in the fruits and produce sections. Their items are really expensive comparing to other local supermarkets and they need more professionally trained cashiers and customer service representatives.

Why does low income areas always have higher prices? Lot of the food was not quality. Liver was going brown. Tiny pack of 5 mini oxtails was $11.00. Store also needs remodeling.

Love that they went back to 24 hours. Shop at 4am, shelves are fully stocked. No rush, take my time and shop.

I love my Shop-Rite Pharmacist. They are kind and courteous to all of their customers. They know me by name and I never have to wait, if I call in a prescription. If they dont have it, they will call me and let me know when it is available. So, yes, I love my Shop-Rite Pharmacist.

Unfortunately I had my first bad experience after going to the same place for mind you ten years I went to get a half pound of land Olakes yellow American cheese,they really werent that busy,so when my number came up I in most cases the next server asks for the number next on the number display,so one lady saw me standing there and informed my number,so I spoken up then the female server was speaking in Spanish and complaining about my attitude and addressed my position of being upset.Then I felt invaded of my complaint,I went to General store manager and agreed I was the customer and my complaint was valid,I do commend the Deli manager for taking my order and had me out from deli section in 3 minutes.NOTE: while the deli manager was slicing my cheese,one of the servers behind the managers back was making fun of while I stood there,look at that camera, yeah she was waving her arms...

Since Pathmark closed I started shopping here in Perth Amboy and I found it quite a bit better than Pathmark. Then when Super Fresh opened, I shopped there once and that was it. I was back at Shoprite. The selection is better and more organized.

I dont usually review super markets, but this shoperite is really nice at 2 AM. A quick and nice shopping experience.

Ok....I was pleasantly surprised upon walking through the doors into this particular Shoprite. Its a little tricky to get into the parking lot and the road looks like a strip mine lol, BUT as I walked about the store I was highly impressed with the layout - ESPECIALLY the meat and fish displays. Wow - I will definitely be returning here to stock up on some fish and steaks. Also, the checkout area was very efficient and the aisles were the right size. Very pleasant.

ShopRite is always clean and well stocked. Accordingly....Management always abides by their Mask Policy and are very respectful of myself and my Familys Medical Issues as far as not wearing a Mask while shopping in their store. Keep up the Good Work.

If youre on WIC the woman manager will try to decide what you can and cant get no matter what the actual WIC book says. Im relatively new to WIC but for canned fruit my book says any brand and they told me the brand I chose was not WIC approved. Had them void it and when the cashier needed manager approval not only did the manager ask why it was voided but then proceeded to ask the cashier what the issue was in front of us without even starting the void approval yet. Was also told even though the book says any eggs the brand we picked they dont do with WIC. We plan to complain to corporate and WIC.

Shop-Rite of Perth Amboy is a great supermarket. Theyre always stocked and they specialize in spanish condiments. And a plus if course is that theyre 24 hours.

This is regarding the deli - the woman with dark hair in a pony tail and glasses was extremely rude . If she’s going to be so overwhelmed and rude maybe she should be placed in another department or find another job

As all the shop rite stores that I have visited, they are well keep and well stocked. The personal are helpful and polite. They cater to a high Hispanic community and they carry a lot of merchandise that they need. Good place to shop.

I was making a delivery at this location. The person who was taking in the product was very disrespectful I made a mistake and opened the receiving door and the reciver threw a fit. He started to cuss and scream at me. He even did it infront of a manager. I am truly appuled at how I was spoken to. I am going to call their main office .

So much better than Woodbridge ShopRight. People who work there are so friendly, store is very clean and well stocked. Produce is very fresh and appealing, unlike rotten Produce I have seen elsewhere with the excuse of, Oh, the market is bad right now. I rate the store equal to Edison ShopRight which offers the same friendly service and product availability. Great shopping experience!

I would recommend anyone that wants to go to this supermarket. To go to the one on Washington Road! Everyone is pleasant there and the store managers expect the one visiting this location. The cashiers gave me his name and said they can’t say anything to him because he’s the “The Store Manager” when I wanted to make a complaint. Well his name is KENNY and let me tell you KENNY should be reprimanded and given a class on customer service! He is very rude and unpleasant!!!! Their is a RESPECTFUL WAY to speak to customers that are bringing busy to your company! He shouldn’t be working in any of your store locations with that kind of attitude. He looks miserable like he doesn’t even want to be their so with that being said Shop Rite should reevaluate their managers because they’re the face of the company! If that’s what the company tolerates then that goes to show you how much they value their customers. I will be telling many of my friends and family members to avoid this Shop Rite and why!

If you need to use a shopping cart, be prepared. You will need to have a quarter to insert into the shopping cart device, in order to release the chain. You will get your quarter back when you return the shopping cart to the shopping cart stand.

In the past Ive had no issue in voicing my opinion regarding the treatment recieved at the hand of so called managers. By the same token I also recognize when someone goes out of their way to make my shopping experience a pleasant one.The young African American male cashier in line number 1 noticed that I was moving very slowly as Im still recovering from surgery. He packaged my groceries light so I didnt have to carry heavy bags. Upon leaving thanked me for shopping at Shop rite, to feel better and to be safe. I appreciated his concern for another human being, simply because he didnt have to go the extra mile but chose .

Not enough register open only 2 regular register and you see two supervisor looking at everyone and not helping or open more lanes.

I used to love this place but cashiers are very rude, they are on the phone or eating so I rather go to Wegmans that has good prices and they accept returns. Shoprite won’t accept returns.

I been camping to ShopRite Perth Amboy, like 16 years. Very nice people, clean, only I stop buying any Goya products even know is one of the best brand, but support and lobby for the actual president, which I dont agree with his policies. Sorry to so political .

This supermarket has a surprisingly large and quality selection of products. It is always kept clean and orderly. The staff are polite and friendly. Highly recommended.

This Shop Rite is a pretty decent store. The parking lot is absolutely atrocious. People are always parked at the curb because they are too lazy to park in a spot like normal people do.

Walking into this SUPER Supermarket you will find all of the standard departments. What ShopRite of Perth Amboy did was make the departments on steroids. Yes they have a fish section that looks like you were at a genuine fish monger. The salad and food bar is at least 5 times bigger than I had ever seen

They dont seem to treat their employees well, because workers look so unhappy. They have stiff competition with many better supermarkets in the area, but make no effort to improve their prices.

This isn’t my usual store but I am visiting some friends in Fords and this is where they shop. I am impressed with the size of the store. It’s gigantic. 26 aisles, that’s a big store. Really good meat, deli and seafood departments. Many check outs open, plus self check out which is always good. The staff is friendly and helpful; I had to ask the location of just about everything on my list and they did a great job directing me.

I dread going in this place. The young man restocking Poland Spring water couldnt have been more inconsiderate by placing a skid in the isle so no one could get out the and refused to move not even a foot until he was done even when I pleaded. (its always something)

Love this ShopRite. They have such a great variety of products for sale & the store is clean (including the bathrooms). I love that theyre open 24 hours. & they have great sales all week, month to month. Its awesome!

This supermarket is reasonably stocked well but it doesnt carry a large variety of pink salt, no organic lemon juice, no sprouted bread, and organic popcorn kernals.Other than those missing items, it has most things on an average shopping list. The staff is always offering assistance and the do have a good staff of cashiers to service many customers for check out.

Convenient Open 24hrs. Friendly associates. Most of the time fresh produce. Meat department has good meat cuts. Deli and Bakery is best in town. Only thing missing here is home delivery.

I have been to this store many times and most of the time the customer service is terrible i waited 10 minutes in the fish dept for some to help me it is always the same way in most departments . Another time i had a problem with the digital coupons and went to customer service and asked for help the girl behind counter could not help me so i asked for a manager his name was Reggie i asked him if he could give me some kind of guest pass because i was having problems with the digital coupons he told me no and then turned his back on me. so i asked him if he was going to help me with his back turned to me he turned around and said that is not what you asked me .i told him yes but why did you turn your back to me and then i asked him for his name he told me Reggie and then he walked around the counter and then walked towards me as if he wanted to hit me unreal. I told him what is the problem i go threw this everyday at my job its called customer service Reggie replied yea i can see why you have that problem and then walked away smiling, the good part of this store is there cashiers i give them 5 ***** stars they are always polite and professional
