Not Recommended, 16yr old Sons first truck $17,000, First week leaking radiator, gauges quit working so he couldnt see how fast he was going, bad wheel barring, a/c working halfway, promised us a safe vehicle for him and two days ago left him stranded 50 miles from home when the starter went out. Tried saying it was gonna be over $2,000 more to fix it. Needless to say, taking his truck somewhere else to get fixed because they will not get another dime from him. Highly recommend going somewhere else for a new vehicle........ The response below is a complete lie, we were promised this truck was sound and yes sold as is but not another 2 possibly now 3 thousand dollars worth of work, constantly having to put oil in in it

The only place I will ever buy a used truck from ever again. The team at Illinois Valley Auto Group is the best! I live in the south burbs of Chicago and have been looking for a dependable used truck for weeks with no luck. Spoke to Matt Kristenson on Christmas Eve and explained to him about my terrible credit and told him what I was in the market for.. I called there inquiring about a 06 f250 with really crazy low millage. Was told about another truck they had just got in as well.. By Saturday Matt had me approved for not only the f250 I called about but also for what I can only describe as my dream truck. A black on black, lifted, 4 door f-350.. After selling my soul for an hour and a half ride to Peru on Monday.. Lol.. I met Matt and took both trucks for a ride.. They were both great.. And after a few hours of paper work I was in my way home with the f350.. Couldnt be any happier with my purchase it looks new and most importantly it runs like its new. Just got home from buying our first family as a married couple. Was very nervous to travel so far out for a car and company we had no experience with. We walked in and honestly had low expectations from a smaller dealer (big car dealers out the a** by where we live) but no where by us was selling 8 seater cars which we NEED. I had an excellent experience purchasing a vehicle from Illinois valley Auto Group. This was my first non contact internet and phone purchase if a vehicle. The dealer handled everything perfectly. They delivered vehicle even though it was friday evening. Upon delivery the person that delivered it told me that they noticed the antenna was broken, and he called his boss. He said they were ordering a new one and would send it to me. I live an hour and a half from this dealer, and will definitely use them again. They were honest, and easy to work with. Top notch!

Took my car there and had two oil pan gaskets changed out. Almost $400. The mechanic drove my car 17 miles, made me have to scrub extra hard to get the cinder stoned out of my floor mat and apparently picked up a friend to Ride Along, both floor board mats had cinder stone. Changed my radio station. Second time I had my power steering pump changed, $391. 4 days later its leaking power steering fluid bad. I took pictures. After they had the car a couple of days I talk to Evan the grandson of the owner, he manages the automotive part. He tells me, its not leaking, theres nothing wrong with it. Wow! Its all over the concrete in the garage. I took pictures! He wasnt interested. So Im taking it to someone else because I want to make sure my power steering is not going to cut out on me in the middle of driving. And the engine is sounding loud like its leaking oil also. I asked Evan about this sound and he says oh, probably a timing chain. Probably! I spent $800 to get this car right and would have spent more if needed but, not for a guy who says probably and doesnt bother to check it out. Im not impressed with these people. *** Thanks for clarifying that I was telling the truth! I certainly did bring it back to you more than once for you to have the chance to make things right! You can lie about the grease stains left in my car, (yet when I showed you on first trip in, before I left your place...you didnt deny it, you causally said, oh, well detail it next time you bring it in. That didnt happen because I keep my car very clean.) You can twist the truth, but the pictures dont lie! If it would let me, I would post more pics. As for it not being there for a timing chain, again, thanks for clarifying! I brought it in because it had sounds of low oil and it was leaking oil which your company was supposed to have fixed! Too bad I cant also post my CarFax upkeep report, or more pics, so everyone can SEE my car all along has had great upkeep.

I had great a buying experience and everything went pretty smooth. Fast forward and 7k repair with a couple other repairs. Then finding out that the title and Carfax when I went to trade in, that I was sold a salvaged title due to the truck being a lemon in its previous life. I lost a ton of money during the trade in process due to that and on top of the repair work that went in to the vehicle. I was sold a lemon with out it being disclosed or on the Carfax that was shown to me during the buying process. From my research, The title moved around from I think Indiana to Illinois and it had a Indiana salvaged title was moved to Illinois under normal title. This was not disclosed during the buying. process.

By far the best vehicle buying experience Ive had. The sales associate Matt Kristensen helped my husband and I and he did a phenomenal job. I work quite a distance from home and he was able to make everything work within my weird travel schedule to test drive and the purchase the vehicle. I would more than highly recommend this place if you are looking for a vehicle. I plan on going here again when we need our next one in the future.

Had my greatest car buying experience yet! John is a great and very respectful guy. There was no pushing and shoving to get me to buy a car. He was very knowledgeable about all the cars on his lot and really lets them sell themselves. I test drove a couple all in great shape. Ended up stopping in on Tuesday on our way to check out another vehicle in Peru. My wife and I were looking at trading in her 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan. Ended up calling them up later the same day and getting the 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan we test drove after trying out a couple other vans in the area. The team made car buying haggle free and enjoyable, had a lot of laughs. John gave us a great deal on our trade in. John is very knowledgeable and gave us advice on how to obtain a second key for our new van without having to spend a lot. Would definitely recommend them to family and friends. Recently we purchased a 2006 Ram 1500 Quad Cab, the service from John and Matt was outstanding. John was very helpful during test drives, each time asking how did that drive? John encouraged me to keep test driving until I found the one. I decided on the Ram, before I bought it John disclosed that it needed a new muffler and tail pipe, he had these on order and would install them before I took delivery of the Ram. The final transaction went very smooth, there were no surprises, we traded childhood stories as we finalized the paperwork. I have been to too many dealerships where I have felt pressured to buy a specific vehicle and have had my fair share of slick salespersons. John and Matt were very down to earth and I thank them for a great buying experience.

Working with Matt and John was a fantastic experience! Upon finding the car online, I contacted Matt and received a very fast response. My husband and I made the hour drive to Peru, IL and found the car exactly as pictured and we ultimately purchased the car. And, can we talk about the pictures? I commended Matt on the number of pictures posted online because in todays Internet age, thats how preliminary decisions are made. There were over 35 (I believe) pictures of this car and we loved that!!!! The overall experience was wonderful ... a lot of fun bantering and conversation during what is normally a less-than-fun experience. One day later, we found the part at our local dealership and true to their word, they covered the charge over the phone when contacted. Today I drove there from Berwyn IL a good long 1 1/2 hour drive and I was not disappointed at all! I been texting Matt and Rose for a couple days trying to get my Jeep which I found online that I really wanted... he didn’t pressure me to to get something else unlike every other place I called and went to in Chicago. Had $1200 down payment and a 06 f150 truck for a 08 wrangler that was listed for $14,999. The jeep was beautiful on the outside with red in color, but the inside was tore up by what looked to be from a dog from the previous owner. Dash was clawed very badly. Button was missing on the radio, the console next to the 4x4 was cracked. Then, $1200 down payment became a $1500 down payment, then that $1500 down payment became a $2700 down payment. Instead of trying to get us into the vehicle and making the customer happy, they were more worried and concerned about their profit. Small time dealerships biggest mistake. I would not recommend this place.

Truck was in good condition and very clean, I was told that all of there vehicles go through an in depth inspection from there mechanic. I bought the truck paid more than I should have but considering the condition it was in I took the truck, I have had it a week now and the check engine light came. I was informed that it could be a multitude of things wrong, anything from the injectors to a sensor to a intake manifold issue, the code read that both banks were running lean. If each of there vehicles go through an inspection I would suggest they replace there mechanic, or come clean with the customers. about possible issues. For all I know they could of have the error codes reset before I bought it and then they went off again. Not Happy

Never will I go through this dealership. When i Called about a vehicle I made it certain they knew I was interested. I sent him my own personal banks information and in the three hour it took my loan officer to approve my loan their ram rod salesmen sold the truck from underneath me. He knew I would be getting back with him that day. I felt very disrespected. Therefore I will not purchase a vehicle here.

Grade A Diesel MechanicsBought a truck after it had the clutch replaced. Installed an aftermarket clutch and flywheel recently. Not pleased with the missing, and not installed fasteners in cab. Wiring harness broken and zip tied together on the transfer case due to improper removal. New brake caliper that was installed did not have the caliper or bolt slides cleaned and lubed. Which caused the caliper to seize and make the brakes squeak and leave dust on the wheel. Rubber protective boots for bolt slides were torn also due to careless mechanics. I knew the truck had some downfalls when I bought it... The overall evaluation of how the Grade A Diesel Mechanics repaired and replaced the clutch among other parts in the truck is poor. The owner spoke highly of them but I now realize they are more careless then I assumed. Dealership is good, inventory is good. If I ever purchase another vehicle here I wont be so gullable.
