Seemed decent. Sold me a really good battery at retail and threw in a couple terminal connectors at cost. Fair enough.I was stuck at the gas station across the street. Needed a new battery and my cables were just old so I put new ends in them too.Kept a clean shop, everything seemed well maintained and appeared inspected, pretty clearly above board.

Dan definitely took extra steps to insure i was well taken care of. He clearly really cares about clients. He also took time to thoroughly explain what was going to be needed in the future, and the priorities of repairs and why they were important. Well done, reasonable cost.

Hi, I own a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS . When it was at the dealership for a factory recall repair I was told that my oil pan gasket needed to be replaced A.S.AP. .They gave me an estimate of $860.00 . About a month later I noticed a large puddle of oil under the car . I called around town & checked the Internet for a more affordable cost. Only when I called Whole auto & talked to Dan was I given advise that he doubted it was the oil pan & told me to tow it over for them to take a look at it . I dropped it off Monday morning around 9 a.m. . By 4 p.m. that same afternoon, Dan called to tell me it was just a broken oil pressure sending unit . His estimate to me was no more then $260 . I agreed ! The very next day by 2 p.m. Dan called to tell me it was done . When I went to pick it up the price was only $230 ! That is $ 630 he saved me !!!!!!!!!!!!! Dan is my go to guy for any thing automotive

Simply the best. Dan worked diligently to replace the buggered transmission on our old Mitsubishi Mirage and did extra maintenance that we shamefully neglected, all at a more than a fair price. We wont go anywhere else now as long as we live in Sonoma county. And his dog, Tyson, gets six stars!

Great experience here. Had the Check Engine light on when my smog test came up -- he cleared the code, got me a clean smog test and back on the road without major work. Now that the light is back on, I am headed directly to Dan.

Dan at Whole Auto is top notch. I’ve had him regularly work on a 2013 Jetta GLI, 2005 M3, and 2015 Prius for general service. In regards to the German cars Dan is the best Mechanic in the NorthBay, he has a passion for German vehicles. More importantly he does great quality work at a very fair price. I’ve done a few upgrades to my vehicles and had some major services and I’m always shock by how fair Dan is with his labor, he’s honest and bills for how long the job actually took. I’ve never had any issues with Dan. It’s very hard to find a good mechanic as a whole. I’ve been meaning to leave this review for months now.
