I had a private class with Nicole and she was wonderful! Extremely professional and offered more than just a one-on-one class, thank you!
As every sewist in Sonoma County knows, we suffer from a lack of fabric stores. The cluttered, corporate disaster that is JoAnns just isnt up to the task of offering a satisfying shopping experience. StitchCraft is a tiny gem, much needed to broaden our options. Its absolutely wonderful that they offer sewing classes. My own favorite things about this shop are that they have notions (only place in town to buy a zipper!), and I really like that they carry so many USA-made fabrics (way to go!). This is a clean, well-cared-for business - a pleasure to visit, and so convenient that its right downtown. Good for quilters and crafters, though not ideal for clothing makers. A store that serves fashion sewers just doesnt exist in our county, nor in Marin County - unless you count JoAnns, which carries a bare minimum of fashion fabrics, most of which would be best suited to creating Halloween costumes rather than tasteful attire. Between StitchCraft and the Quilted Angel over by the river, quilters and crafters have nice options in Petaluma. Im glad this business exists and think its excellent that they are educating a new generation of sewists.
