Really loved the grilled oysters. My favorite was the Japanese flavor. Picnic tables are available at the time of visit and have us a very laid back experience. The boat deco on the yard reminds you you’re closer to the coast. I would have added another star if the chowder was better. I hardly notice any clam on the clam chowder 😩
A great selection of wonderfully fresh oysters, most from their farms in Tomales Bay. Friendly staff, who gave a helpful shucking lesson for this novice. More sauces & dips for sale then I knew existed. And dont miss their homemade Mignonette, its just right.
On our way to birdwatching in Bodega Bay yesterday, we stopped in for an early lunch. I ordered a toasted cheese sandwich and my wife ordered an oyster platter with six baked oysters in a Japanese sauce. The food arrived at the pickup counter fairly quickly, and smelled nice. The six oyster shells had barely a flake of meat in each. The sandwich was accompanied by a couple of pickled carrots, a tablespoon of pickled cauliflower, and two half dill pickles. However, I couldnt find any cheese in what looked to me like two slices of sourdough spread with some olive tapenade. For the price we paid, I expected more.
Nice stop on hwy1 just around 90 min from SF proper. Can get oysters to go at a great price to shuck at home. Or have some on the half-shell at their picnic benches with a glass of wine. Easy access and friendly staff. Also can get Bodega Bay Oyster Co. periphernalia.
Great place to get fresh oysters, clams, and Mussels. Large variety of size, also have Alantic oysters. For fresh oysters, they have great, durable plastic bags, and pack the shellfish in ice.
The food is small but good...A little expensive. It would be nice if the eating area was more appealing and less of the surrounding rundown sheds were visible.
We bought 50 pieces of the large oysters for $90 during the Memorial Day holiday. For a family of 4, our plan was to each have 6 pieces of the oysters raw and the remaining cooked on the grill. We probably each had 2 pieces of the raw oysters because they tasted bitter. My family had always enjoyed raw oysters but not the ones we bought from the oyster company. Definitely not going back.
Bought a crab roll and had a hair in it and the clam chowder had a fly in it. Had to throw everything out. Just be careful with the food they serve there.
Speciality place. Where Oysters are the thing. Always a treat. Prices vary but for the same price for a dinner at any restaurant you could be enjoying oysters. Local oysters. Yum.
The best place to finish a good casual one-week relationship. So many oyster options, cool vibe, cheap (not as i expected but fine!) . Eat next door and play with flat basketball!
Pretty nice place to grab a beer and chow down some pretty darn good seafood. Clam chowder was bomb!! Wish I got but thought it would be real fishy but it was not. Oysters take a few to cook up but fresh and barbecued right outside. Grilled cheese was a great back up for not liking oysters. Seating outside AND a wine tasting room. Interesting spot.
Seriously! We came all the way from Brentwood to try out the oysters here after hearing and seeing the reviews only to be extremely disappointed at the size as well as the price. $20 for half a dozen! Had they been good size but these where like the ones you get at Winco. My wife picks up Huge ones for half of what they charged us. It was extremely disappointing to make a long trip to here on a holiday weekend. Hoping thqt Lagunitas will have some fill me up food, becuase for $62 worth of food it was WAY overpriced. Save your $$$ and go to a real oysters place.
This is one of my plates, Im sorry I finished it before a pic could be taken. The clam chowder was delicious. The bbqd flavored oysters were amazing. The raw oysters with tapatio and lemon are great, but the vinegrette with shallots on top was a great surprise. The staff is friendly and super helpful. I did not get our waitress name, but she was an absolute doll. (I dont mean that in any manner except that we appreciated her kindness and service). I live about 2.5 hours away but hope you return more frequently now that Ive found this gem. Go try it!
Delish! So worth the stop. Lucky for me I drive nearby quite a bit training in the county, so, gotta bring my dog with me today. Lovely outdoor seating & dog friendly. Will be back.
Helpful awesome and good prices on oysters.
Very good food, small portions and little pricey. The environment outside just perfect., so I think is worth the price.
Good for oysters but definitely bring your own stuff if you plan to eat a lot and purchase the closed oysters and do it yourself!
Excellent food to eat outside on their picnic tables. The roasted oysters were especially good.
Fun fresh oysters! Eat them there or take for camping like we did!! Great selection! Lots of fun things in the store, too!
Rude and distracted employees. Not helpful and we seemed to be a bother to them. Dirty and fly infested picnic area.
The large Miyagi oysters blew my freaking MIND. Absolutely delicious, so fresh you can taste the ocean in the brine. I would certainly come here again. I came in a bit late and shucked my own oysters and had the time of life. Certainly an experience
Quick service for take out and great local selections. Picked up small miyagi oysters for grilling, some delicious homemade sauces to slather, and delightful local kombuchas and ciders!
BBQ Questers, or on the half shell in summer time. Plus chowder and sandwich, yum.
Don’t have anything updated to let you know they’re doing wholesale only. Drove across town to wine taste only to be told at the door that they aren’t fully open.
Tastes fresh, bring your own knife if you can shuck or be prepared to pay a lot extra. Also bring your favorite hot sauce, they sell hot sauce by the bottle only. Overall, my wife loves it here.
Tasty chowder! Very covid conscious and efficient! Everywhere else in bodega bay was packed with lines longer than any hungry human wants to wait and this place had me in and out! Seems family owned and well run! Safely support the locals these times have been tough!!
Always great fresh oysters and variety of them too. Been stopping by the store every time we are passing by for several years now.
Friendly staffs. Reasonable prices
Yuumy sandwiches for a quick bite. Delicious oysters and claims to take home to grill.
I love getting a to go bag of large Miagis! Perfect for an at home BBQ. Sweet, fresh, delicious 😋
Love getting my oysters here good help and very friendly
Some of the best oysters in the north bay.
The oysters were delicious, the store worker, not so nice
Great stop on the way in or out of town...
Bases on their lobster roll and clam chowder :(
Beautiful place to stop at on the way out to Bodega Bay. Its a great ride or drive on a weekend. The oysters are always fresh and can we served cold or BBQd. Personally I would recommend the shrimp sandwich!!!!
Been going here for years. love it. but it is expensive.
Good as Hog Island. Less expensive. Easier parking. Less crowded.
Excellent tasting oysters and a very friendly staff
Fresh oysters in the middle of Sonoma cow county - what could be better?!?
We love to stop by at this place
Friendly staff and the best fresh oysters in Sonoma County, so lucky to have this place available!

Not inexpensive, but very good
Super fun, yummy oysters here! All sizes super good! Easy access even with a large trailer!
Great people and the Oysters were fresh and so good!!!
We have driven to this place many times just to get their fresh and awesome oysters. The service is great and the prices are good too.
Prices are great and these oysters were great smoked or raw on the half shell. So sweet and fresh. This will be a must stop now when we are in the area.
They now have outdoor picnic tables for grilled oysters but it truly needs some work....the tables are in dirt and weeds and way too many flies...not ideal picnic surroundings if you want to be outside....
Very good oysters were very fresh and good!!
Great oysters on your way to Bodega Bay. Pre-oyster oysters!
Excellent, fresh oysters. Friendly staff. Great locale.
Delicious food and friendly service.
So good and fresh. Delicious
This place is awesome! Delicious oysters, nice selection, and good service. Highly recommend stopping by.
Oysters were awesome, but the outdoor area is a little shabby. Prices are typical for the area. Shucked vs non-shucked pricing was nice to see
Great lil hidden gem.
The Best fresh oysters ever
THE BEST OYSTERS. Amazing selection. And small clams too. Loved this place.
This place is located about 10 minutes from Cotati. The oysters are fresh and delicious. Their service is wonderful as well.
Good Stop on way to beach. Great Oysters here
Great place to stop off the beaten path🤘🦪🦪🍻😎
Oysters are fresh and briney, the pinic area is great if you got kids. Hands down beats the lines and crowds at Hog Island. They got all the stuff there for a picnic if its just easier to get in the car and go!
Local oysters . THE ARE THE BEST !!!!! 👍
Wholesale Oysters! Also carry some fresh fish from the local harbors. Friendly staff are eager to help with any questions you may have. Condiments are also available..stop here for the fresh oysters on your way to the beach. Dont forget fresh sourdough, salami and your favorite wine :)
Great place. Lots of flies outside, but it outdoor seafood.
If you like oysters, you have to stop by here and check it out! The people are nice, and you cant get oysters any fresher!! Straight from Tomales, right down the street.
Great fresh oysters. Good variety too. Plus, other high class picnic supplies (wine, beer, fancy chips and stuff).
Been coming here for years no issues but now they making you pay for the sauces after you already buy the big bag of oysters not cool.
Great quality local oyster shop. The oysters were extremely fresh. You can shuck them yourself (they will give you the tools) or have the guy behind the counter do that for you. When we finished the 1st dozen and came back for more, we were told wed have to shuck them on our own because there were other customers getting stuff to go. There are benches outside where you can take the party to, which we did and the whole experience was unparalleled.
