First time coming here and even though its not a traditional supper club, its got all the right food and drink to be considered one.Started off with an old fashioned that was spot in and it just got better! Warm loaf of bread with our dinners, delicious chicken dumpling soup, my husband opted for the salad bar (YES a salad bar!), good spinach artichoke dip with warm garlic bread slices for an appetizer (like we needed more bread :)). Since it was a Friday, we both had fish. I had fried cod and a baked potato and my husband had baked Caribbean Jerk with potato pancakes. Just delicious and generous portions. All served up with the friendliest of bartenders (we sat at the bar).Cant wait to come back and try other items on the menu!
Cajun Baked cod was excellent and their salad bar was very good. The staff was very freindly and helpful.

Went for a fish fry and wasn’t disappointed. Excellent pan fried walleye pike and potatoes pancakes. Excellent service. Everyone was very friendly and eager to please. Would definitely go back to try other food.

Just went for my birthday lunch/dinner with my bf. Just the bartender, Elaine, and one other patron at the bar. Elaine was nice enough to run the kitchen for us even though the dining room wasnt due to open until 4 pm. The chicken dumpling soup was hearty with big chunks of rotisserie chicken and nice sized dumplings served with warm bread. My sirloin was done to order and the ribs melted in my mouth. My SO loved his burger. We even got some pumpkin pie for my bday!

My boyfriend and I stopped to have dinner and drinks when on vacation. The service was AMAZING. Im really bad with names but one of the owners was bartending and cooking. She knew everything we needed before we needed it. I myself am in the service industry and she by far exceeded any expectaion!!! Great place!!! Awesome service and delicious food!!! 😋

*** As of tonight, Canyon City is closed for renovations until fall.We stopped at Canyon City tonight as we drove along I-94. Despite a sign on the window indicating they were closed for renovations, they looked like they were open, so we went in. They told is that technically last night was their last night before the renovation, but since they had a large group there, that they could still seat us and serve us, but that they were out of some things, and service could be slow. Despite all the warnings, we decided to give them a try and we were really glad that we did. I had a wood grilled sirloin steak, and it was by far, the best sirloin Ive ever had. This sirloin had to have been prime, because it had more marbling than most sirloins and was almost as tender as prime rib. My wife had a BLT which was served on Texas toast and was also very good. We both had the homemade chicken dumpling soup which was also excellent and chock full of chicken, dumplings, and vegetables. My daughter had a wood-grilled chicken salad which she also enjoyed. This is a restaurant that we would definitely return to again.The place looked really well maintained, so I asked what they were renovating, but the waiter wasnt sure. He indicated that the restaurant had been there for some time and the owners felt it needed an update. He also said that the plan was to reopen in October.
We love going to Silvernail Inn. Its absolutely delicious and the soup is homemade.

We live just down the road but haven’t stopped in till today. Judy had the prime rib (it’s so popular that they are now serving it on some Fridays) and I had the blue gill. The food was very good. The salad bar was stocked well with fresh veggies. The staff was friendly. We’ll definitely be back.
I went here for a fish fry and this place is awesome. Cant wait to go back. The fish was delicious and you got unlimited trips to the salad bar which was very fresh. Not to mention that you also got unlimited bowls of soup that was made from scratch. The staff is very friendly and does a nice job getting your refills. This should be everyones go to destination for great food and service!!!!!

HOLY YUM!!!!! Had the prime rib (we were late night last minute like right at 10pm) it was so good! The staff was very kind and friendly. The music was Sinatra style for a while and it really made for a nice experience. The only thing I didnt like was some of the patrons complaining about the music and just wanting to drink and be bar bums. This is a WONDERFUL place and I cant wait to go back!

We are super satisfied with our dining experiences at The Silvernail Inn! After our first visit we brought family members back to enjoy and they too agreed with the experience as being positive! Scott who handles the bar is very friendly and welcoming....our family will definitely return for future gatherings!!
This place is awesome! Great service from Cassie..great food. And it was nice inside. I had Ribs and my Fiance had a burger and we both had the salad bar. It was amazing food! I highly recommend this place and their warm bread was amazing !! Go here people! You wont be disappointed!
This is a great family owned place. We sat at the bar and the bartender/owner was serving, she is a hoot! Seems to know everyone, and remembered us from a prior visit. The food is great, try some of the Greek dishes! Soup and salad bar comes with most meals, so bring your appetite.

Food is good, better than prior to their recent remodel. Prices overall are higher than other similar places in the area. Inside is the same layout as before the remodel. They spiffed it up a bit and removed all the kitch. Improved the food, kept the prices about the same. A decent place to eat, families included.
Excellent chicken dumpling soup with lots of good-sized chicken pieces. Salad bar above average. Fresh veggies, grilled artichokes, sliced boiled eggs, cherry peppers, and much more. Greek dressing was exceptional. A round loaf of warm tasty bread was served. The prime rib was terrific! Done perfectly medium rare, juicy, tender, and flavorful. The creamy horseradish is well worth the ala carte $1 if youre a fan like I am. Our server Melissa was friendly and timed the meal just right. Looking forward to returning and trying another meal from the menu, that is, if I can resist the Saturday night (and served Friday I think) prime rib.
Very very happy, my wife and I had our wedding dinner there back in May of 2015 and we were pleased then. Been going there now 6 yrs in a row for Valentines and 3 yrs for our anniversary. This was Canyon City. The food is great, atmosphere great, and the service outstanding, even under a new name. Thank You for the great evening. 5 stars

Hidden gem, for sure!! Homemade soups and a salad bar with every entree. Steak, salmon and rotisserie chicken. Pasta, burgers and wraps. The dinner bread is out of this world.
My steak was cooked the way I ordered it. It was delicious. This was the first place I ate in Wisconsin where my food was served hot.Dinner bread was great, salad bar was fresh and had a great variety. Staff was friendly and on top of it.
I have eaten there several times. The food is outstanding. The service makes you want to come back time and time again. It is clean and has hand painted murals you just have to see. I cant forget to include the outstanding Friday Fish Fry.Prices are very good for the amount and quality if food you get. Treat yourself and visit for lunch or dinner and you wont regret it!
Honestly did not have high hopes for this place given its location, but we have impressed both times!The place is clean and service was prompt and accurate.The ribs fall off the bone, drinks are well made and everything Ive eaten there has been GREAT. My steak was cooked correctly, salad was fresh and the bread tasted homemade.Overall, well worth the trip.
We were there for the last hour open and the whole staff was so friendly about it. Sat us right next to the fireplace. On my list of going to again without fail.

Ive been to this restaurant many times and the food has always been very good. Try the ribs! Prices are reasonable, service is good. Im not sure why it isnt busier. Maybe it is the weird side entrance behind Dennys but its worth a try.
Not even 1 star but had to give 1 to post...they changed names and that is it. Service is terrible, waitress/(think owner) asked us twice if we were ready to order and both times we told her we already ordered, cocktails came flat soda and were replaced with 2 new flat soda cocktails (we sucked it up and drank them). Guy next to us went to the bar to get not 1 but 2 of the beers he ordered through the course of dinner she never brought. Food is twice the price of your normal bar and grill which is more expensive then what it was before they changed names. Use to love the chicken dumpling soup...now came as broth (no chicken or dumpling).As it was before...3 local people sitting at the bar and about 4 of the 30 tables filled with people dining, looking, wondering how the service could be that terrible. I could go on but just to much to list. I will go back to the regular bar and grill, Chilis, Applebees for an nice 6oz sirloin for $9.99 instead of the $20 one they serve there. Disappointed how oblivious they are at the unsatisfactory food and service was...I truly believe they think people had a good experience
Nice lady seated us. My husband and I ordered a taco salad and Irish cowboy. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks. At that time we ordered our food. 20 minutes later we got our like warm soup and no meals. We drank our drink and left after waiting 1 hour and still no dinner. Nice lady at the front apologizing up and down about short staffing. That is not our problem. We will never return

We are a family with many dietary issues and this place meets all our needs!Loaded Fresh Salad for a Vegan with oil & vinegar.The BEST Prime Rib you will ever have for the meat eatter!If you are under the weather, the Chicken Dumpling will get you feeling better in no time!Even though its a bit fancy, dont be scared to bring the kids! They are fast and have food they will enjoy.
My Wife and I have been coming here for 10 years and the food is always great and Jay the bartender is Mr. Party. Ted and Elaine do a great job. Great place for a group party or event.
Immediate seating was available. Kris, greeted us at the door, was able to seat us at a table very near the door, per our request. Took our drink order as we sat, also told us about the specials, and soups. She gave us ample time to study the menu, finish our courses, cleared the table. Took a couple of minutes to talk with us. The only minor flaw was lukewarm soup, and a little disappointed in quality of the lasso onion rings (they had too much breading). Loved the entrees and the service, and the premises was neat and clean.
Went for an after work get together. Nice selection of beer. Service was good.
I visited the Silvernail Inn for the first time today.The Server was wonderful, the cloth napkins outstanding BUT the food was not!I ordered the chicken wrap that was so-so, and the fries that accompany that dish...lets just say I could not believe a french fry could tast that bad!I would highly recommend Dennys over the Silvernail Inn...in fact, thats exactly where I went to eat....after leaving the Inn.5 star server...1 star food!!

First time since the revamp and I enjoyed the updates. Met the ladies at the front counter asked about the new digs and was well taken care of entire visit. I had the pork chops and thought they were good. The salad bar is still not complete but was offered soup and salad with dinner. One suggestion is that they offer more authentic greek dinners other than the pork souvlaki.We will try again on a different night after salad bar is completed.

Four of us stopped for dinner at 7:00 pm on a Friday night. It was not very busy, but it still took 5 minutes to get us seated. The menu is pretty extensive, but the prices seemed high for the atmosphere. After ordering, it literally took over an hour for our food to come out. The waitress apologized profusely and offered us a free desert. My baked cod was good. My wifes tuna was dry and overdone. Not too impressed and probably will not return.
I was traveling from out of town and arrived late on a Sunday evening, yes it was the Superbowl, but there was a really bad snow storm and the Packers werent playing... they shut the kitchen down a bit early after selling out of their Prime Rib and being a bit slow. The owner said not to worry, they would make sure I was well fed before I left! I had their chicken and it was delicious and tender. If you like blue cheese, theirs is amazing and is home made. I also had some wings and poppers that were very good. Everything was delicious but even as good as the food was, the service was the best part. They definitely know how to treat people!

My dinner included CANNED potatoes and the server, instead of apologizing and offering a replacement or discount, did her best to justify why they served CANNED potatoes! I expect fresh food from a professional establishment. If I wanted CANNED potatoes, ill go eat at the local school cafeteria!2 stars because the service was friendly.
We stopped by a few weeks ago. This place needs a good cleaning and a makeover. The bread as an appetizer was amazing. The soup was good. The main dishes we had were just ok. They need to be revamp their image and come up with some mind-blowing food to keep up with the competition around them. I may come back to try the fish fry and steak to give it another chance.
I live in an area where we have tons of good food options, this one is our Go To! Big bar with good music! Stiff drinks with good ol bartender service. We Waited for perfectly rotisseried chicken, worth it. Hubby had steak and you can taste the wood grill flavors. Last time we were happy here too. Will spend more time here!

Staff was nice. Food was unfortunately terrible. My son and I shared a grilled cheese sandwich (which wasnt prepared correctly, it should have been a 3 cheese grilled cheese and I got maybe 2 kraft style american cheese singles). Worst part is we both have a touch of something today... Thinking it may be food poisoning. My husband ordered a cheese burger and had to drench it in ketchup because it was so bland. This restaurant is so close to our home we were hoping we found our go to restaurant but sadly, we wont be back.
Maybe your experience, will be a game changer! $50 ! But it was pleasantly Friendly! So I had a good time!

I am not usually one to write a bad review but..... I took my kids there tonight for dinner. After seeing the prices compared to the atmosphere I almost walked out. The place wasnt busy. Half a bar full of people shaking dice and 3 tables with people at them. We waited at the front desk to be seated for which felt like an uncomfortable amount of time. We almost sat ourselves thinking that may be their policy. Finally the bartender came out and seated us after he was done shaking dice. It took an unusual amount of time for the waitress to come and take a drink order, and it took an even longer amount to get our beverages. I asked what they had for red wines, she pointed to the folder and said the wines are in there. The wine list had names I had never seen and some I have, but I was shocked to see glass prices more than what I would pay for a bottle of that brand at a local liquor store. So I ordered from the premium selections and immediately regretted that when I tasted it. I ordered a second glass of something different. Even worse. She finally came around again to ask for our order and we mentioned we wanted an appetizer. Usually you ask for that when you deliver drinks or even during taking the drink order. It took almost 15 min for the appetizer to come out which isnt awful but still not good. It took almost 30 min after we were done with the appetizer to get our food. The kids were so full on bread and soda that they hardly ate anything. One child order the deep fried mac and cheese, a pathetic serving of what looked like 5 chicken nuggets atop some fries for $7. My son ordered the bacon cheeseburger from the adult menu for $10 which was supposed to be 8 oz but looked more like 4... 6 would be a stretch. I know what a half pound burger looks like. The bacon was burnt and the burger was well done even though he asked for med rare. There was no lettuce, onion, or tomato nor was any offered. The plate was loaded with fries that were warm at best. I ordered their robe eye and 1/4 rack of ribs that was $30. That was the biggest disappointment of all. The ribeye was barely a half inch thick (the orange wedge garnish was thicker than the steak). I ordered it medium rare, and it was shoe leather. I took two bites and I was done. The baked potato I asked to be loaded. It came with a plastic container of sour cream, no butter, no cheese, no bacon bits..... nothing. It was still wrapped in foil and it was obviously over cooked. The skin was chewy and tough. The ribs were laughable. My pinky finger was as long as the ribs and probably has more meat on them. The sauce actually weighed more than the ribs. And the sauce was a putrid sweet mess that tasted like sugar and ketchup. To top it all off as I was leaving, not a bye, thank you, or please come again.
This place will not stay open long. When we made reservations we asked if they can do seperate checks since we were coming with a large group, they said absolutely. Then we got there and the waitress argued with us about it, saying they cannot do seperate checks. The food all came out at seperate times. So much so that the people who got theirs first were almost done eating when the last person got theirs. They werent busy, we were one of 2 groups there so it shouldnt have been a problem. The food was average. My salmon wasnt fully cooked. Then they finally agreed to seperate the checks and it took them a ridiculously long time to do so. We were late for our party. Not impressed at all.

SAD! My wife booked a party of 30 for a prime rib dinner. She even stopped in earlier that day to confirm the arrangements and the amount of people having prime rib. The night of the dinner and its a JOKE! The bartender is hoping no one orders an ice cream drink after dinner as he said he has no idea how to make any. This wasnt a good sign from the start. Then our group ordered. and despite having a prime rib station with heat lamps, They instead are serving each person ONE AT A TIME. It took TWO HOURS to get dinner. I watched as people who ordered a full rack of ribs get served before a burger or their prime rib dinner. I was handed a salad, I did not order, then I was handed someone elses dinner. I waited almost an HOUR for a burger and fries, and by the time it came. I was so disgusted with the crappy service I asked for my meal to be wrapped-up. Its 2 hours later now and Im ready to leave as I watched the chef come out from the kitchen wearing black sweat pants and a grey T-shirt. The bill for our dinners was $64. . .$34 was for a prime rib dinner and a $8.95 burger. . wine and one beer was over $15 dollars. The comments at the tables were embarrassing as customers asked if they had sat at the wrong table as they waited for their food. Some guests actually were able to go outside for a smoke and come back before their food was even delivered. People were finished eating while others waited for their dinner. JUST A SAD EXAMPLE THIS PLACE IS NOT CAPABLE OF HANDLING ANY PARTY OVER 4 PEOPLE. By the time our food came people were once again going outside for a smoke as they were finished eating. By the time our food came, I was so disgusted I had them box my burger. I spent 3 hours there. . just to give a hamburger to a friends dog. DONT STOP. . DONT THINK ABOUT IT. . .JUST DONT! Theres a pizza place right across the street that can handle your needs. . DENNYs is on the corner. . so JUST DONT BOTHER!
