Went in for an alignment, my steering wheel was a tiny bit off. Got it back, it was worse. Took it back in and had to make an appointment the following week to get it fixed...again. the adjustment bolts were all lose and the wheel was changing position while i was driving. They told me that the tech who worked on my truck was no longer with them, but here I am with some unusual wear on my tires. I did finally get the alignment done right...I hope.

I was new in town when I had to go here for a brake bleed. I thought I was going to a reputable shop, but I was wrong. First of all they over charged me a lot. I asked around afterwards to see what other brake shops wouldve charged for a master cylinder bleed and a system bleed. The common answer was between $60 - $100. Instead they charged me $300. They also tacked on an additional $150 to switch the hardware that holds the brake pads (which didnt even need to be done). This in total bright it to $450 and there was no parts included as I already owned everything. Please do not go here as they will rip you off at every corner they can find

Very nice people to hide how expensive they are. Unbelievably expensive for basic services and their prices on parts are 3x what it should be. They also find reasons to charge or explain something else must be replaced but do it with a friendly smile. $800 for regular ceramic brakes/rotors on a Toyota Corolla. Avoid this place unless you want to be gouged with a smile.

I stopped by to repair the flat tire. They let me know that it is not repairable... they were nice and polite..

These guys were great. Brought my car in to have the belts serviced after the AC made a strange noise. They did a full check and couldnt find a problem and let me know that my belts were fine. Our best guess is something might have gotten up in the compartment, maybe leaves. I appreciated the honesty since the dealership had recommended changing them out due to dry rotting a couple months ago (which I knew was a scam because they were less than a year old and I could see they were still shiny).They did all of this at no charge. They will have my future business.

I arrived within the last hour, and they patched my tire where there was a screw, even though they said it would be a very close call if it could be done (Close to the tire wall). They were very friendly and the price seemed OK. They fixed the tire very quickly!

Called to ask if they were doing the inspection, I was told yes that it was going to take 1.5 hr, I drive over to be told the internet is coming in and out so maybe they wont do it...what kind of business are yall running!

Convenient location but today was last straw. Poor quality workmanship and upselling management style. A lady walked in for a state inspection and walked out with a high priced oil change and tire rotation eventhough she did not need one. Seen it happen alot when im waiting in line. Constant management turnover and quality goes even further downhill with each new manager. Theres alot of mechanics in the area so Im going to go out of my way to try someone else that does a quality job and doesnt try to upsell everytime.

Go somewhere else. They make a lot of mistakes, theyre dishonest, and theyre expensive.April 29th, I brought my 2005 Tahoe in to have the Knock Sensors, wiring harness, and fuel pump replaced (diagnosed by another mechanic that couldnt do the work right away). But, I wanted them to diagnose on their own to confirm.Later that day the mgr says we tested the sensors and theyre fine. But you DO need the following replaced:1. Fuel pump,2. vapor canister vent3. master brake cylinder4. power brake booster5. AC Serpentine belt6. Main serpentine belt7. Alignment8. Steering Column intermediate shaftWay more than I had anticipated, but I was assured that this would take care of the issues and help me pass state inspection, so I gave approval (except #8).Got my vehicle back the next day.Total Cost: $3009.81That evening after 15 miles, the check engine light comes back on.After taking it back 3 more times and them having it the majority of 3 weeks, they finally finished.They replaced the Knock Sensors and the Wiring Harness; the very things I brought it in for on the first day!Misdiagnosed, according to one of the mechanics.Mgr said hed take care of the Steering Column Intermediate Shaft for free bc of all the time, mistakes, and money Ive spent. Wasnt done.I get my car back on April 19th.FINAL TOTAL COST: $5218.20I will NOT be taking my car back to them for suspension work that needs to be done (or any other work) AND Id recommend you go somewhere else, too. Ill update if I ever hear from them.

They overcharged me for a tire patch, And they didnt air up my tires afterwards.

Been coming here for years now. Theyve always been good about telling me honestly what kind of maintenance or repair I need to get done. Im never worried theyre going to try to rip me off, which is a good feeling when taking your car in somewhere.

I’ve been doing business with this location for over two years new the staff quite well in fact the last manager had the exact same car as me so he was very aware of how to take care of an Acura 3.2 CL well apparently the staff change in the last 3 to 6 months since I had had work done on my car I went in for air what I knew was a power steering issue but to no allusion I am no pro at cars which is why I bring my car to ppl I trust where are the older manager had been extremely informative updating me on any thing that was going on with the car and the parts that were being replaced on the car not to mention giving me choices on different parts by educating me on the prices versus the quality of the product chosen unfortunately this staff did not do that what started as a simple power repair Turned into $5000 of mistakes on there end that I simply ended up playing for Things that were never wrong with my car before or now wrong issues I never had I now have so much work was done on my car that day while I was at work barely getting contacted that I simply chop this up to they saw someone who is extremely interested and keeping a 20-year-old car in the most perfect condition it could be kept Again I’ve went to the shop at least twice of year to make repairs on my 20 yr old Acura that I have Never had A Disabling issue with unfortunately the car has not ran the same since I left their shop after returning multiple times to explain certain sounds that we’re not there before and to explain my car simply does not run the way it used to instead of them trying to see where the problem is they never even drove my car I had an ask one of the mechanics to ride with me Just so he could hear how bad it really was and what I heard Yep nothing was done just more money spent to fix problems they had no idea what the problems were to begin with it was simply a trial and error on my expensePLEASE PICK ANOTHER SHOP PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY DONT HAVE ANYTHING DONE ON YOUR A CAR WITHOUT BEING THERE TO ASK QUESTIONS.A lot of times we have to work and we have other things to do so we drop our cars off and leave them in the hands of people who are just as unexperienced as this

Love tuffys, but you have to be careful about their honesty. Was told that I needed new brakes but then told I did not when I came for a second visit. Not sure why the discrepancy. I kinda trust them sometimes. I do get all my oil changes here though.

THE WORST IN THE AREA...My car needed a new tie rod it was bent i know that in advance I usually go to my go to place but they were closed so i towed my car to Tuffy and they gave me a quote to fix my wheel it was 1,798,00 they wanted to change things that had nothing to do with the tie rod just to charge more they said that the car looks so bad and it’s a hazard to drive I disagreed and took my car to my unusual place they replaced my tie rod and my car is running great again. DO NOT GO TO TUFFY THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF....!!!! My place to go to their so good and honest it’s Express oil change.

You can literally go next store and plug the diagnostic tool in for 20 seconds and save the 99 dollar fee these guys want to check your computer.They use every opportunity to up sell anything they possibly can. A state inspection turns into you need a new 250 dollar key fob. Really???Not a fan. Last time they never did get my brakes right. Why did we ever go back there. Lesson double learned.

They were nice but convinced me I needed an AC evacuation and refill. When I called them about it still not cooling well it was basically oh well. Thank God I made it to San Antonio safely because I didnt have much fluid in the radiator. Filled up the radiator and ac works like a champWill not use them again.

Fraud. “Oh, I wasn’t the one that made the call so I don’t know what happened during the conversation.” You can only use that trick once per client.

I totally trust Rob (the manager) and his crew to work on all my cars. He will give you a fair assessment of what has to be done and what can be done optionally to keep your vehicles in top shape. These guys know what they are doing and wont take you to the cleaners in the process of getting you back on the road.

Service was fast and the people at the counter were polite and quick to respond. Their web site has a $19.95 price for the simple oil change. That was what I wanted. They told me a few things I should think about getting done but I plan to trade in my car soon so I didnt get anything extra done except for a $4.95 oil plug. A good experience.

Came in for a power steering flush, nothing was wrong with the system, just some preventive maintenance (which I was commended for doing). I do all of my own work on my truck, but I do not have the pump required to flush my power steering system. I was changing the oil in my truck yesterday and noticed a significant amount of oil under the front end of my engine, found the source was a power steering connection that was spewing fluid everywhere. Looked at the reservoir and saw the level of fluid was way too high (after a bunch of it had already leaked out). I got the level down to normal and I am hoping that this stops the leak. This whole thing just seems so dumb to me, the cap even says Do Not Overfill.

Inspection was super quick, Phillip was super nice and even filled up the air in my tires! Excellent service!

I was really disappointed because they were super nice to me and had a nice shop but they tried to tell me my car needed new shocks, struts, tires, and winds shield wipers. I came in for a simple tire rotation and they wouldn’t do one because of said other issues. Out of all their diagnosis only the tires and wipers were really wrong with my car. Really disappointed they tried to rip me off. Glad I’ve got trustworthy people behind me to make sure I don’t drop 1-2k on shocks....

Please be sure you get a quote/estimate before any service/work is done on your vehicle. I was informed I would get a quote/estimate. When calling for the status of a quote the work had already been done on my vehicle. This left me with an unexpected charge.Please do yourself a favor and make sure this procedure is done. I will give them that they have decent customer service.

My vehicle(s) rarely see a shop as I am an ex-master mechanic, but there are a few things I cant do that I need a shop to do on a lift. First time ever using Tuffy and the front staff member seemed annoyed that I even came in, at first. I get it. Ive worked 12 years in a similar shop and you got a few things on your plate that are chewing at your mortal soul and having someone come in with a completely out of ordinary issue is not something you need right now. He did seem to cool off and came off more friendly by giving constant updates on my vehicle. Their techs did an excellent job addressing the problem I needed to have fixed. I will definitely have Tuffy on my list for future repairs because they were able to take care of a repair that another shop would not dare to do.

I have been here a handful of times - I have also tried other service companies besides Tuffys and have had a number of issues with other companies. My wife has been scared into almost spending 1200 on fluke issues - however - this Tuffys is by far the BEST one I have been to. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE here is there for the customer - they understand business and always go the extra mile to make it quick and easy. Rob - the manager there - actually cares about the people that walk through the door - knows their names and does what he needs to do in order to keep them as customers. Good work - keep it up.

Phillip was very professional and quick I recommend this be the place for all your oil changes and inspections..Very reasonable and affordable. We did have a misunderstanding but in the end the problem was resolved.

Great staff! They do great work, very efficient and honest. Not one of those shady rip off places. Weve been customers for a few years, and have never had any problems. Also they have a Keurig with a selection of different coffees! Also very nice clean restroom. And a tv to watch while you wait. Plus its right next to Sonic if you want something to eat while waiting.

Complex problem with my 2012 Elantra timing chain system but the guys worked with me to get it resolved! They are fair and honest people that do terrific work. It is great to find an honest shop that I know I can go to with any auto problem! Highly recommended!

I had to pick up my son at 2:30 so I swing by the shop at 1:50 to get my inspection done. My car was inspected and ready in 20 minutes. I picked up my son from the school and did not have to make a special trip. Super amazing fast service. Definitely recommend. But make sure to call just to check in to see how busy they are..

Tuffys has serviced my car more than a handful of times, from minor things like windshield wipers and a new side mirror, to brand new tires, alternator, rear shocks, clutch, and all of my oil changes, and routine maintenence! TL/DR - wasted an hour and 20 minutes of my life waiting for an alignment and my truck never moved.Called to see if I should walk in or make an appointment. Guy says an appointment is always recommended. I made a 10am appointment. After waiting 50 minutes with my truck staying exactly where I had left it, I asked the guy how much longer. He says there’s one on the alignment rack that’s close to done, maybe 10 minutes. I’m thinking why did I bother to make an appointment?!?! After 15 minutes the guy comes back and says the machine is acting up and has an error. They will have to reset it and then get to me. After I total of 1 hour and 20 minutes I asked for my keys. The guy says “I’m sorry, this isn’t usually how it goes”. Nice effort.

These guys are great! Took my car right in. There wasnt anything really wrong and they let me know that. Most places wouldnt have done that!

This place is a scam. Darrel is in charge of auto service here. I used a spare key without a sensor on my car, so it wouldnt start. I didnt know about the sensor. So I towed the car to this location to get it fixed. I also asked them to change the car oil after they figure out what is wrong with the car. They said that they do not have time to fix it the car that day and that they will call me the next day. They didnt call. Finally I called them at 2 pm. They said that the car computer is broken and will not communicate with their reader and that I have to tow my car to the dealership which 30 miles away. So I called the tow truck. When I came into the shop, they attempted to charge me for 2 hours of work saying that they spent that much on my car, which is $200. I told them no because I did not authorize the work on my car. They said that it was part of the diagnostic. I still said no. So Darrel got angry and told me that I should leave, tow my car away and never come back. When the tow truck came, the tow truck driver told me that the car doesnt start because of the wrong key. I found my old key, started my car and drove off from Tuffys parking lot. I called the shop 5 minutes later and Darrel said: We didnt have a chance to diagnose your car, because we did not have the sensor for it. Sorry about that mam. So he KNEW about it, and instead of telling me to find the old key or getting a new key with sensor to be done, changing my car oil and getting a repeat customer, he chose to lie to me that my car computer is broken, making me to pay for towing to the dealership and running me off. I sure will NEVER come back to see these scammers.

I will never go there again. They damaged the hood of my car and stated up and down it was like that when I bought it in. I have only been driving this car for 2 years so why didnt I notice hood damage? No integrity...I will never ever have my car serviced there again.

Please avoid this place like the plague!!! The manager here named Rod and staff will rip you off with a nice friendly smile :-) They will overcharge you and tell you that you need repairs to parts on your vehicle that dont need to be fixed. Dont fall for the coupons either, its just way to get you in then they will try and rack up a big fat bill once they get your car to the back and tell you it needs all these repairs. Its a surprise that this place is still in business. Wish I could give them a ZERO STAR rating. Youve been warned!

I called Saturday for car alignment, and they said they’re busy but “you could come on Monday at 10:30 am and we’ll do it right away”. I Arrived Monday at 10:30, they took the keys and I waited for an hour an a half. I got up to ask when the car will be ready and they said “the car needs more work and he’s working on it. If you want to have good service, it’s going to take time” I said, no problem then one hour later he said he wants to talk to me and that “we won’t be able to finish your car today because one of my mechanic has a special tool for alignment and he is not here. He is on vacation.” and he offered me a coupon if I came back on Wednesday....?Bottom line, I stayed 2.5 hours for 30 minutes of work that didn’t get done. So I definitely don’t recommend. Extremely unprofessional. If there were an option for zero stars, that’s what I’d rate them.

Took my car into Car x after being quoted huge price from a dealer to get a service and some repairs. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Mechanic took me to the car and explained every-thing he was doing and in language i could understand.

I have had my car serviced here for several years, tires, oil change, etc. and it has always been great. Everyone who assisted me has been professional, curteous and delivered my vehicle as promised with never a problem. The free tire rotation when you buy your tires here is a bonus! I would recommend this place very highly.

If you DO NOT value your safety or vehicle this is the place for you. Took my car in for oil change, tire rotation and balance, got about 2 blocks down and my tire flew off into oncoming traffic and the front end of my car hit the road hard. I had to repeatedly threaten legal action in order to get them to fix the damage they caused. The whole process was a nightmare (too much to go into detail here) and wasted $100s in billable time at work dealing with it. To make matters worse, they decided to use my own spare tire to replace the one they had damaged ....without telling me. Weeks later, I got a flat and was left stranded in a rattlesnake infested middle of nowhere at night with no spare. My car is still not the same.I STILL have nightmares about both incidents and shudder every time I drive past the place. HORRIBLE people and incompetent to a life-endagering, CRIMINAL level!!!ROCCO, I hope the negligent fools responsible were fired harshly, but YOU PEOPLE STILL OWE ME!!!

Horrible customer service, I mentioned the online coupon and got an eye roll and everything was downhill from there, they came back and said I needed this and that and it will be a while even though I had an apt so I could get in and out, all I needed was a simple oil change but these guys try to get you to buy additional stuff you probably don’t need.

Tuffys staff is very nice and it has that small business shop feel to it. The downside is that they take long with your car. Maybe theyre understaffed on the mechanic side but I wish theyd work on the car a little quicker.

Honest, quick, professional! Called them for an oil change and wheel alignment appointment and they were able to take my Toyota Prius immediately. They did an excellent job, pointed out some things that I should get fixed, and told me how much I should expect the service to cost. Its a no-brainer to return to them again in the future.

*Update*Tuffy’s manager wanted us to go back to the store and let him check our belt. We already had our inspection, had to work and chose not to bother with this place ever again and let them cost us any more money or aggravation. They claimed to have “reported us to the state” because we got a second inspection. Nothing ever came or that. Empty threat. LolPS we had a recall on the hatchback latch on our car, while my husband was there he asked the dealership mechanic to check the belt. He also said there was nothing wrong with it. Avoid this place at all cause. They will bs you in to thinking you need to spend money on a new car to pass inspection. ShamefulTuffy’s tried screwing us out of a $187 to replace a serpentine belt in our 2 year old car to pass inspection. We took it to another place the very next morning and passed inspection with flying colors!My husband even asked the inspector to look at the serpentine belt that Tuffys claimed said was, Ready to break...... The guy said it looked brand new.Ive written the news station, Im filing a complaint with the BBB, writing reviews online, contacting the state inspection people, calling their corporate office and anything else I can do to spare others being screwed out of their hard earned money.My husband went in to the location to confront the manager with a store full of customers to tell him he wanted a refund and the manager told my husband, Sue me....

They will overprice whatever part you need, try to add services your car dont need and if they brake parts trying to fix the parts you took your car there for they will try to blame it on you and charge you for it. Dont trust them, very dishonest people.

Theres only one word to describe this shop - thieves. I just had what was bar-none the worst experience Ive ever had at a business.I took my car in to Car-X on Dessau for an inspection today. It didnt have a coolant leak when I brought it in, but they called me back to the shop to show me that it had mysteriously developed one while they were working on it. There was a pinhole leak in the coolant intake. Chris Martinez, the manager, swore up and down that it must have already been there, but had him go out to the parking lot with me and verify that there was no coolant anywhere to be seen, and Id been parked out there for 20 minutes prior to them bringing it into the bay. If there had been a leak prior to them bringing it back, there would have been coolant on the pavement out front.I asked the manager what he intended to do, as my vehicle had not been damaged when I brought it in and he stated that it must have been a coincidence, and that he would charge me to fix it. I told him that I did not feel that was fair, and that since they caused the damage they needed to make it right. Next, I pulled out my phone and took a picture of the coolant on the floor, and Chris absolutely flipped out. He puffed up his chest and told me that if I didnt put my camera away he was going to call the police.That kind of seems like guilty behavior to me.At that point, I did not think I was going to get any kind of reasonable resolution to the issue, so I paid for my inspection and left. As I was doing so, one of the other mechanics (I think his name was Tim - older guy with grey hair and a beard) came out of the shop and literally tried to start a fist fight with me. He was screaming about how he didnt do anything and how I needed to get my car fixed there. Chris had to take him by the arm and walk him back into the shop - it was highly unprofessional and speaks volumes about the kind of operation they have going there. Breaking my car is one thing, but physically threatening me is an entirely different level of bad.When I got home, I examined the damaged area closely - there are scratch marks in the metal right next to the hole. The damage is on a part of the engine that is pretty far back in there, and there is NO way there could have been anything else that caused the scratch besides intentional damage. As far as I can tell, they stuck some kind of metal bar with a thin point back there and banged on my engine until it broke.These guys are thieves, plain and simple - they damaged my car so they could charge me to fix it.Whatever you do, Yelpers, steer clear of this place. Dont say I didnt warn you.
