I took my computer in a few days before leaving for a 3 week trip. They used the time to diagnose the issue and keep in contact with me. They were great about providing what needed to be done and werent at all pushy or salesly about putting money into an older computer. Id definitely come here again as they were very generous with their time.

I had a problem with a monitor I took somewhere else. They quickly identified it was a bad display port, and then didnt charge me as local repair of a display port on a monitor isnt really possible. They showed me other cabling solutions worked. They were polite, fast and professional.

The location is clean, bright and I love how they use an old iMac monitor as a fish tank. You can sign up for text and/or email alerts which notify you every step of the way, which is a great feature.Nick is the absolute best. I walked by and saw a sign for iphone 11 screen replacement. I was able to make an appointment same day. Nick was great and answered all of my questions. My screen repair was done within 40 mins. I got the 3rd party screen repair and it works great. I am very happy with it.

These guys are great at what they do. Customer service is prompt and there is no shame or guilt, accidents happen. They do quality work and I would recommend them for any computer diagnostics/repair.

I scheduled an appointment to come in for the “free diagnostic” and the guy was nice but obviously not a professional when it comes to electronics repair. He told me the Technician that did the circuit board testing and repair doesn’t work there anymore...So how are you running and electronic repair business and don’t have anybody there who can fix anything. Especially when those services are listed online. Complete waste of time, and since he couldn’t find any replacement parts on eBay he said there’s basically nothing they can do besides send it to somebody else for 3-6 weeks. I guess if your phone screen has a crack in it they may be able to help you, but any serious repairs I would not waste your time.

Ive brought both my desktop PC and laptop here, and both experiences have been really great. My laptop repair was quick and they discussed all options and outcomes with me and the repair was priced fair. They even contacted me after to make sure everything was still working out okay. My desktop only needed a consultation and they didnt charge me at all, even though they spent time trying to diagnose the issue. Would highly recommend!

The service a Wise Guy was memorable. Before I walked into Wise Guy I went to two different tech guys to find out what was wrong with my USB. One just plugged it in his Computer and told me the info I already knew, it was not working. The other tried to charge me $40 just to find out if they can fix it our not. Wise Guy listened to my issue, took my USB and the back and gave me a diagnostic test for free. He explained in detail what was wrong, and provided a Solution. I will be back to give them my business.

Wise Guy helped me salvage my not yet 2 year old laptop when the Hard Drive failed. They installed an SSD of the same storage size which to my surprise greatly increased the speed overall. Then, when I had a subsequent problem, they were very quick to analyze it and give me a good solution! Theyve been honest and efficient and very easy to get a hold of! Extremely happy to have them here and highly recommend.

My wife spilled coffee into my gaming laptop and didn’t bother turning it off, unplugging it, etc. Wise Guy took it in immediately and suggested that it likely just needed a new keyboard. I had to buy the keyboard, but they offered to only charge me the $40 inspection fee if that did not fix the problem. As it did fix the problem, the labor cost ended up being $120 for cleaning up the laptop and installing the keyboard. I was really happy with their quick turnaround time and how they kept me up to date on the repairs. Now if I can just get my wife to buy her own computer and not use mine . . .

Ive gone to Wise Guy a couple of times over the past few years, and their service has been stellar every time, from customer service to pricing to the actual repair. Had an issue with my PC rebooting randomly so I took it here to get checked out. They had it for a couple days and ran multiple diagnostic tests on it. They were not able to recreate the issue but tried everything they could and said it should run normally. Because they couldnt fix anything they gave me a really good deal on the repair fee which was very nice and they certainly didnt have to do that! Customer service was amazing and I would recommend them to anyone with computer issues!

Several issues on my laptop, the squad, and 2 different techs could not fix the errors made loading the new machine. My new friend Nick not only fixed everything wrong (many issues) that others could not, he also got me proper virus and anti malware programs, and then fixed my Galaxy phone issues, taught me a bunch of things. So I had some pretty bad experience with computer repair guys in philly before, but when I came to wise guy, I just set up the appointment 3 days out, brought it in and explained my problem. Such a great experience! My computer fell off my bed one morning and the charging port broke, making my computer unchargable. As a medical student, this was catastrophic for me! I couldnt believe I was able to make an appointment with Wise Guy easily online, for the same day! I was SO excited. The inside of their business is really nice too, they have a cool style and layout in their office. They were able to fix my device same appointment, and charged me a fair price! I will definitely be returning for any other electronic repairs.

Hard drive crashed last week, fulfilling the ancient curse your hard drive WILL crash as you are writing your dissertation. A friend recommended Wise Guy, so I made an appointment for the same day. Shop is cute, clean, and comfortable; everyone I spoke with was professional and kind; the diagnosis took maybe 15-20min. Got my computer back after a few days and its like a totally new machine! No more cliking on the Word icon and praying it will open. Definitely recommend these folks, theyre professional, quick, and do great work.

I asked what I needed and they said nothing, then I had to go back because I needed to grab a part they failed to mention. They didnt organize any of the wires inside, and half of my usbs dont work anymore and neither do my LEDs.

They were amazing,quick, reasonably priced and even follow up it check in a few days later!

I came in with a problem with an external hard drive formatted for Mac. The tech looked into it to figure out an estimate. At a certain point, he said repair might not be doable but then continued to study the problem. He finally figured some feasible approach and estimated a very reasonable price. Cannot express my gratitude for Wise Guy Computer & iPhone repair enough!!!Im a graduate student writing my thesis this semester and spilled coffee on my computer. The keyboard kicked the bucket and Apple was trying to charge me $999 + tax for a new keyboard! I tried going to Best Buy, and they wouldnt even attempt to fix it. I was really completely out of hope and I found Wise Guy off google. Not only did they expedite fixing my computer because Im a student, they fixed a display issue AND my keyboard for less than a third of what Apple tried to charge me! I received updates along the way on the process and they were incredibly accommodating and asked before diving into the display issue (which I appreciate as a student on a strict budget). DEFINITLEY RECOMMEND!!!I work from home and one night my hard drive fell over and was done for.I emailed WISE GUY and they replied, literally in 5mins or maybe even less. I was told to make an appt online which would be for 1:45 that next day, then when I asked if any sooner openings were available, I was told to come in right at opening. I got there right at 11am (their opening time) and they immediately took the computer to the back and ran the diagnostic. The diagnostic ran longer than expected so I left and received a text from them once it was completed. Unfortunately, the hard drive needed to be replaced and was unable to repair, BUT I appreciate how transparent and honest they are with the parts needed, costs for service and the time frame to get everything completed. I was back up and running SAME DAY!

Right on south street next to some of the shadiest places who will do the same thing worse and without follow up. These guys replaced my screen and battery in an hour while I walked around and got something to eat. They offer options and are realistic about how your phone will work after services are provided. They also replaced the waterproofing in my phone for free and gave me a little power bank key chain! I was also contacted for a follow up to see if my phone was still working correctly. They turned my $2000 laptop into a paperweight. My Lenovo Yoga, 2.5 years old and only slightly used,, was running hot, Wise Guys proposed swapping out the thermal paste. Then I get a call that the usb port was gone. That had never been a problem, but OK, I also paid to have that replaced. Now my computer does not run, having been destroyed with static by Nick who wont admit it. The machine will not start or charge.

Loved this repair shop! My computer suddenly stopped working and wouldnt connect to Wi-Fi. I walked-in on a Saturday and was assisted immediately. It was great having someone look at your laptop who is definitely knowledgeable about the subject. I wasnt charged for a diagnostic (a lot of other shops charge for this) and my fix was total of $40. Being a college student, this is an amazing price! Overall, great people & great place.

Had a great experience with Wise Guys. They did work on my MacBook Air in a timely fashion at a reasonable cost, when Apple couldn’t give me the time of day. I received a discount for no-rush work (I left it with them while I was on vacation) and you can also receive expedited services at a special rate if you’re a student. When I picked it up we spent 30+ minutes talking about options for my husband’s computer which is on its last leg of its life. They walked me through options without pushing anything. I definitely recommend these guys and intend to use them again in the future!

I waited in a pleasant waiting area about 5 minutes while the tech finished with another customer.I had sent an email describing the problem to the website email address, and he had the information. It took him about 5 minutes, working in front of me so I could see what was going on and hear explanations, to diagnose a bad graphics card.After telling him that I was going to buy a new one and install it, he then quickly looked up info on some current graphics cards that would be appropriate for my computer, and likely prices (I later ordered & installed one of his recommended cards from Amazon, and its great).He charged me almost nothing for his time, diagnosis, and helpful advice. My Windows 10 update continually hung at 80% Garrett came to my house the day after I called, and was fantastic: businesslike, competent, and helpful. Turned out my hard drive was on its last legs. He helped me pick another computer from Amazon, and came back when it came, transferred everything from the old one, and, while he was here, fixed my Wifi and connected me up for remote service if I ever need it. The price for all of that at home was much cheaper than I expected, and everything works beautifully. I recommend this shop. You can trust them.
