They are so angry and ignorant as soon as u walk through the door. They dont greet u at all and ask u questions in a nasty tone this is not how u treat people the last time Ive been there a very nice older man in his 70s helped me and was great now the people that work there are miserable. I wont visit this store again.

I visited this location expecting to purchase a firearm and the staff was rude and short as if they had advertised the rules properly somewhere. I followed the instructions they provided in person; to email and make an appointment however, me nor my sister received any call backs or written correspondence. They clearly didn’t gaf abt us protecting ourselves smh

I bought a Sig here a while back. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Theres also a great firing range at this location if you just want to shoot. The selection of firearms and ammo is astounding considering how tiny this place looks on the inside. The staff member who worked with me was very patient and answered all of my questions without fail. Id definitely purchase from them again.

Went to rent a few guns to try on the range. They did not have rentals or even ammo. They should update their website.

I just come to shoot so cant speak to their other services... They have plenty of parking and probably 8-10 lanes.

This is my first time in my life going to a fire range. It was an awesome experience. Got a groupon coupon just need to pay 19.95$ only for ammunition. Firstly the staff are soooo friendly and cooperative and patience. The person who take care of us was an old man sorry forgot his name he was so patient and friendly helped us how to handle a gun and shoot the target. You can get to handle lot of different guns here. Overall it is my one of the best experiences I ever had and I would recommend this place any number of times👌👌👌👌

Zero star! Horrible experience. This place is a complete disaster from top to bottom.The place is a mess with stuff all over, parking lot looks like a junk yard, attendants are unarmed and play around, manager allows it and denied complaints. Would not come here even if it’s free. Does not know how to run a business.$85 for gun transfer. Overpriced rentals and can not use own ammo, must buy their overpriced ammo for double standard rates.Save your money and time, go elsewhere! Safer! They are very rude.Look at these photos, if you think the front is junky, look inside, horrendous condition and UNSAFE environment!! Small, dirty and very unsafe and expensive!

This place doesnt deserve to stay in business. Its a dingy old store staffed by a bunch of grumpy old white guys. Unless you look and talk like one of them, expect them to be unscrupulous and dishonest. Knowing that I was a first time buyer, they sold me a gun without informing me that it was a discontinued model and subject to a manufacturers recall. They also refused to honor their promise to let me use the gun they sold me on their range.

I became a member a few months ago. Greg the whole staff is awesome respectful and couldnt be more helpful I purchased multiple firearms here and they have best selection and accessories. Its a family in there anyone that gives a bad review is crazy! highly recommend firing line for any of your needs.

I’ve been here several times and I appreciate it for what it is. The guys who work here are always nice and helpful. They don’t have time for range nonsense and if you’re being unsafe they will handle it immediately, otherwise they leave you be. They’re my go-to range for unpretentious, helpful, and low key range time.

This is a gun range. Be aware and smart with what you’re doing and they’ll treat you with respect. You can only shoot with their ammo but can purchase one box due to covid. I enjoyed it.

Secondly theyre customer service towards certain ethnic groups are suspect. I was truly made to feel not welcome when visiting this shop. Ive been to every gun range in Philadelphia and in the greater Philadelphia area and firing line is by far the best one. Ive been coming here for years and the guys are friendly, its not only less expensive than all of the other ranges, it has a great selection of both guns ammunition and accessories, and parking is easy since they have their own lot. Anyone who gives this place a bad review must just be bad at the game of life because I dont know how you could have one complaint about this place.

I made a recent purchase here and came away very impressed. Despite being incredibly busy the staff was courteous and helpful. Great selection of firearms and accessories. One of the best retail experiences Ive had. I would highly recommend Firing Line to prospective gun owners and enthusiasts alike.

Gun shop for old people, they are too scared of anything lol

By far the most rude and disrespectful customer service Ive ever experienced. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Gun transfer prices change depending on who you are. They told me $50 on the phone and $75 when I showed up in person which is extremely high. Do not do an online gun transfer to this store they will hold your gun hostage until they feel like giving you a call. If your not WHITE you will definitely feel unwelcomed in this establishment.

I purchased a Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun when I turned 21 from here. I see the same gentlemen in the pictures from the day I made my purchase. I felt completely comfortable as a young black man over 13 years ago. The men in the store are men that respect everyone who also shows respect and decency. Im looking to make a purchase now, but I would like to know if the store is still operating by appointment only at the moment.

I would have given 4 stars overall but there are other things to consider in my rating that earns them the 5th star.They can be busy and will not acknowledge you, thats comepletly understandable from a business standpoint and when they do acknowledge you they are always very courteous and helpful. It can seem a bit off-putting to some people, but patience is a virtue and waiting to get someones attention when theyre working by themselves and busy with another customer wont kill anyone.It is cluttered in there and on the surface, the range looks messy. The targets fall off of the hooks and sometimes the switches dont move the target. BUT I dont care if its messy in there and if you flip the switch back and forth once it will start moving. Again, those things (which are probably the most valid criticisms against this range) dont affect my experience.I dont think theyve ever been rude to me, anyone I was with, or anyone else in the lobby while I was there. So I dont understand anyone who says they have had bad customer service. They will shut you down immediately if you do something stupid or unsafe. And they will talk to you like youre an idiot if youre acting like an idiot. So maybe thats why some people complain about their customer service.Theyre not too expensive and their rentals are not expensive. And if youre thinking of purchasing a firearm that they have in the case, they will usually let you try it out for free.Their sales prices are a little bit high, but theyre a small business. They can charge whatever price they want.I love this range. They dont bother you if youre being safe, and theyre always very helpful.

I’ve watched them work with seasoned customers as well as new ones, both during purchases and also while they work with new and old shooters. Only has a small selection of guns but the range is serviceable. One guy had really bad customer service like he didnt wanna be there or help. Another guy John is very helpful and a great teacher.

These group of guys where truely nice . I would recommend this gun shop . I went to the one on Ellsworth first not a nice bunch of people. But the Firing line is one of my favorite gun shop and range . The men are very nice and informative . They treated me and my son respectful and was very attentive . Great job Guys . Hands down!

The staff at this range are really helpful! They treat everyone equally no matter how much shooting experience you have had.One employee helped me by showing me what I could do better for more accurate shooting.The only thing about this place is that you HAVE to buy bullets from them and cannot use your own.I would recommend this range for amateurs and pros alike.

Very rude customer service. I came in and waited 20 minutes to be tended to. The 2 older guys were lounging back doing nothing while talking to a young teenage boy. One guy tied his shoelaces together and the other guy pulled out the phone and record it. Are you kidding me? This is a gun shop, not a playground. I got scared since this is how they operate, I would be scared to death to know how they manage people with guns.Also extremely high gun transfer prices of $85. Wow! Go somewhere else for $25 online purchase shipped to store.

Fantastic Experience here. Walked in with a few questions regarding purchasing with a military ID, and the staff had all the answers right off the tops of their heads. Very knowledgeable about the laws in PA and Philadelphia in particular. Excellent selection and very reasonable prices, even on their used stuff. Walked out of there with my first firearm, some ammo, and was even given some range time vouchers. Incredibly friendly staff, could not be happier with the experience, theyve earned themselves a loyal customer.

The fine people at Firing Line are heroes. Not only do they offer the finest in firearms they also do public service work by taking the lives of the detritus of society rioting and breaking into businesses.

Very rude customer service. I just called to ask if they carried a particular brand and before I even finished my sentence he said nah we dont have that and was ready to hang up. Extremely rude I dont care how busy you are you never treat potential customers that way.

Best FFL dealer in the area by far . Staff is very friendly and helpful, they sold me my first fire arm months ago and took the time with me out on the range to coach me on safety and beginner lessons AT NO CHARGE . I came back months later and bought some extra pieces from them . While others were price gouging, they’re prices remained the same . They also took the extra time to install my accessories and cut the case to fit the new goodies . 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone .

Site says CLEARLY - Sunday hours - 10am - 5pm. LAST PAPERWORK DONE 30 MIN BEFORE CLOSE.I thought that was great, I had just wrapped a LOT of errands and made it there at 4:10pm. PLENTY OF TIME before 4:30 to get paperwork done ahead of time.Were getting out of here, like nowThat was the response I got. So I will never buy a gun here and I will discourage every person thinking about it. These people couldnt even hold their OWN schedule. It wasnt like I was asking them to stay after or start paperwork at 4:35.Firing Line can keep their attitudes right where the guns are - in their store, where Ill never be again

Out of all the ranges in Philadelphia Ive gone to, this continues to be the best and my personal favorite. The staff members are exceptionally well trained and friendly and there are literally no stupid questions with them. If you have 0 knowledge on firearms, youll leave a bit more enlightened on the subject.For those who are regular firearm users, the range is small but very good for what it is. The prices are great however the only literal downside is having to purchase their ammo. Its a fair trade off to be on honest. Their firearm prices are fair and selection is fantastic.I give em a 5/5, I highly recommend this range.

I went this morning for a basic firearms course with a friend. It was honestly the most fun experience I have had in a while. The instructor, John, was super nice, helpful, and patient. He seems like a really experienced guy, and was very clear and cut on proper safety protocols.If you like shooting guns, want to learn how to shoot, or just are curious what its all about, I would recommend Firing Line. Great people, great atmosphere, and cool as all hell guns.

Good guys in this place. I purchased myv first firearm from there, very straight forward price was fair compared to other places. They did give me the wrong ammo for my gun but quickly rectified the situation. Range is a good place to shoot. I would definitely recommend this place to shoot and purchase firearms. Nice selection also.

I would recommend this place to anyone The older guy with the glasses is super friendly but the bald guy I dont know he seems cool but he also seem like he didnt wanna answer questions it all was sorta rushed when we drove up to the place it wasnt that hard to find the entrance and truthfully maybe outta paranoia I think we was followed in and out of this place by some white guy that was in a truck maybe he was a staff member who knows but he was definitely behaving suspiciously he didnt buy anything and when we left he waited then followed close behind us it was very strange but overall a definitely decent place to purchase a firearm so please to these gun shop owners and employees just answer questions and treat all of you customers with care and respect and share the knowledge but I will be shopping here from now on...great place

Great range to shoot at. Personable night crew. So so day crew. Everyone is professional and courteous. Very safety orientated as they should be. Id give it a 5 star but the one drawback is you have to buy your ammo from them at retail.

Only taking appointment by email they say, I have been messaging them since the 20th of last month and have been getting rescheduled I’ve, never got a message back for an appointment time. They only gave me a day, then never respond only to give me a new day to try and reschedule.

What I was most impressed with is, they didn’t try to push the expensive guns on me. They got a feel for what I was looking for and they weighed out the pros and cons. I walked out of there with a totally different choice then what I walked in there for. Most importantly, they taught me whatever they could in that short period of time being there. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Great place. They are really nice here and will give you all the help you need to get set up. They spent a good amount of time with my younger son,, helping him learn how to stand, hold and fire the gun. We will definitely return.

When in Philly, you must go to Firing Line.If you’re looking for respect, professionalism, a nice range, great price and a great stock of firearms, this is the place to go...I’m on business from NY and this place had the best ratings so I chose to come here and kill some time, I definitely made the right choice, Gary took good care of me.Ended up shooting 3 different pistols, among the best of which I loved so much was the Sig-Sauer P365, amazing little shooter, too bad I can’t buy one with my NY pistol license.His exact words, “sold so many of them and just ordered 100 more”I would definitely recommend this place.

Ive been to almost every gun store in Philly and the service and prices here are the best. I came in with two friends and ended purchasing a gun here that I saw at another shop for $60 dollars cheaper. One of my friends also made a purchase so we decided to stay to test out guns. Lanes are spacious, it was clean and very easy to put up targets. I put 200 rounds through my gun. Ammo and targets are cheap they get everything to you fast. This is now my new go to spot for everything gun related.

Only want you to buy bullets to use at their establishment and can only buy inventory by appointment.

This is a small but busy little shop, so if you go in and someone is on the phone, be patient. Despite what your mommy told you, you are not the most important person in the world. People that work there are polite and knowledgeable, although I have not purchased a gun from them up to this point they seem to have decent prices. Its a LONG range for indoor, especially in Philly in fact it may be the longest, but its older. Plate bullet traps, so dont get crabby if you cant use your own ammo and by the way, you cant use your own ammo. Ammo prices are very reasonable anyway.Not the most well lit range, its a little cold in the winter and warm in the summer. The target frames are pretty rudimentary to say the least but they work. If you want to shoot in a perfectly lit, perfectly clean, and perfectly heated/cooled room, go elsewhere. Good luck training to defend yourself in perfect conditions. Slightly dark, cold, hot, its REAL. Thats one of the reasons its a great place to shoot. I generally shoot outdoors but this is my go to place when I shoot indoors.They have decent hours and there is parking on site. If you are new to the world they do rent guns, and Im sure they can walk you through a safety course and help you get started exercising your 2nd amendment rights.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Bought my first firearm from here. The staff were ok. What I mean by ok is there were 3 employees behind the counter and only one greeted me. The other two just couldnt be bothered to engage with me outside of gawking. The guy who helped me with my purchase was ok. He kept putting his personal opinions on things Ive never asked for. Started ranting on about Democrats are ruining this country and gun laws and how all Republicans and the NRA are saints. I just wanna buy a firearm guy. I hadnt a clue I stumbled upon the Yahoo comment section. Expect to pay high prices for guns that you could get cheaper elsewhere. Paid $430 for a gun that other stores would charge about $200. Cant bring your own ammo unless you buy from them. No thanks.

Website says $100 for annual membership and I even called to confirm. However when I went their in the evening with a friend of mine they wanted to charge us $125 each. I even showed them on their website but they refused to honor their advertisement on their own website.Very disappointed with the customer service.

Ive read reviews about how some African Americans have been treated badly at Firing Line. Im African American and Ive never had a problem here. I know the staff by name and they know me too. My first experience here was great! My friends and I have been coming here for over 2 years, were always been given stellar treatment.

Im a total beginner to shooting. These guys were very accommodating and the rental fees where cheaper than expected.We ended up buying a ton of ammo and had a great time!

Very rude workers at the front. Very lazy staff playing around behind the counter tied some teens shoes together and take pictures. Its ridiculous while I waited half hour. No wonder they dont know anything, when asked about FFL, the guy responded with what? what is that? I said its buy online and pickup in store. He then said it will be $85. I quickly looked at other places and it is only $25. I also asked for price on a Beretta M9 in 22 since I saw it online and want to compare, he said that dont exist they dont make them. Wow genius!! I am looking straight at it. Another reason to go to another shop that is professional, nice, friendly and courteous that want to earn your business, not here.Dont bother calling, the manager is just as rude as the staff, they are all in it together. Very Reasonably Priced. I took my father, mother and brother there for their first time shooting. Staff was great. John helped us out a lot. Explained to them the dos and donts and gave a lot of helpful advice. He was very pleasant, informative and patient. He made the experience very memorable. It was exactly what I was hoping for.

I went to The Firing Line last night to fire my new-to-me Ruger. I was greeted warmly as I walked in and shown how the range system works. The ammo was reasonable and I went about my business. The staff was very helpful whenever I needed another box of rounds or staples(if you go, youll know what Im talking about).As far as cleanliness, as mentioned in other reviews, theyre fine. I compare it to the corner bar. Im there to drink and have a good time. I could care less about a little bit of dust.Bottom line, its like a friendly neighboorhood place. Theyre down to earth guys and theyve got a new customer.Update - Bravo to the owner! Taking a life is not something to be taken lightly, but when someone makes the choice to break into your business, with the intention of illegally arming themselves, they know the risk. You as the owner have just saved lives by preventing stolen firearms from getting in the wrong hands. Bravo! And thank you, from all us legal, responsible, and safe gun owners.
