I brought my lens in for a quote for repair, it had been dropped and I wanted to see if I could get it fixed or at least looked at by an honest person. I called back a week later and he said Ok ill look at it today Calls me back a few hours later and says itll be x amount of dollars to fix, and come in and pick it up if you dont want us to repair, might be too much. So I said ok thats fine Ill come pick it up. The man on the phone insisted I show up at a specific time that was convenient for him obviously, somewhat rushing me to get to the store to pick up my glass. When I get there the lens looked untouched, and he showed me this blurry photo on his cell phone of the inside of my lens and what was wrong with it. I asked the man if he could please send me that photo so I could take a look at it down the road, incase I ever want to try fixing this myself, and he was basically offended I asked him for the picture, stating that the photo he took of my lens was his property and there was no way he could send me the picture. Was very turned off by this, this is bad customer service, and the more I think about it I doubt they even looked at my lens and just pocketed my money. If I were you, and youre looking for camera repair, stay clear of this store. This is a seedy operation, out to get peoples money, and baffle them with bs at the same time. Dont know why he could not clearly elaborate what was wrong with my product, and send me the actual proof that he looked at it, guess I just need to take his word for it.

Very hacky job. I received my camera back in a working state only to have the same issue 2 weeks later. When I inquired about the repair, Lev wanted to bill me again for the fix!

I dropped my DSLR just after changing my lens and it developed a problem was not working. I called another location that facilities the repair right to the manufacturer. I was told my model camera was not a model the manufacturer repaired anymore. I have had the camera about 5 or 6 years now, still in very good shape. I called was told to come in for estimate. The process was i would be called with price to repair if i decided to not repair i would just owe a $50.00 fee for diagnostic. He called to tell me it would cost $120.oo to repair and i was good with the price. I dropped off on a Wednesday afternoon not expecting or thing it would be ready until the following week. I was able to pick it up that Friday just 2 days later. Very pleased with the service.

This is the only local shop that can fix an old video camera to watch tapes from the past. Super knowledgeable about the old film cameras and all kinds of oddball electronics.

The is a tiny shop, very messy, dirty and un professional looking and the owner very stoic but The first repair of a camera we had done two years ago went well so while I was hesitant, I took another repair there. With the first repair the parts took 3 weeks to get there but once they got there the repair was done quickly. for our second repair on a newer model of the same brand I was told that once they heard about whether parts for what was a suspected lens recognition problem form a faulty lens could be gotten I would be given a quote. when I called back Lev told me he could not get parts but that he jimmy rigged the lens involved. I was charged the full repair price with no option to choose no repair and just to pay the estimate. When I picked up the lens and camera, the once smooth flowing lens was now moving in a very choppy manner and had a big bulge on the side that was not there before. I knew I was in trouble when the lens jumped while trying to focus a photo and I suspected and wound up being correct that this lens would not focus for video this way at all. Now after spending a decent amount for the repair which was a gift to one of my kids to help them avoid a new lens, this lens is destroyed. In addition I was told that he cleaned the camera too and guess what?now the camera does not work any more either. So now my kid has to spend $800 on a whole new camera kit. From now on we will go to a modern repair shop.

Worth every penny of the repair cost I paid. Charming lady at the front desk and very quick repairs. I almost wish I had more broken things so I could go back!

Dropped my Panasonic camera off here for a repair estimate after I dropped it while on vacation. The cost for an estimate was $25, which is reasonable for a camera worth $400. The proprietor is a man named Lev who has been working with cameras for about 50 years. The shop is like a museum and worth a visit just to see all the old memorabilia.

It is a hard-to-find place where they can fix your camera problems locally with reasonable prices. Most other places will just send your camera to the manufacturer authorized repair center. I am very satisfied with the service.

A very caring and ethical man who gave me superb advice on how my D90 camera could be reset and its functions restored after a salesperson at Service Photo told me it was best to replace it.

The flash on my digital camera broke about 3 months after the warranty expired. I searched a few places in DC and Baltimore and Im glad I settled on BPES. There is a $25 fee to take a look at the camera, even if no changes are made, but it is their time and money to find the problem so it seems fair enough. I thought the problem was the bulb but he explained that it was an electronic problem. It cost $80 to fix, but other shops in DC charged more, and Canon was going to charge me $160 and send me a refurbished camera. The owners were extremely friendly and the camera was ready in just a few days. Im glad I didnt have to buy a new one.
