We bought a bedroom suite and after everything was loaded in our apartment, one night stand we were told was on back order. After several months and failed returned phone calls we took the one stand back. All of a sudden the price of the night stands dropped from what they actually were. We exchanged for something of less value of new reduced price and they would not give difference back. But promised good deal next time. Ya like that will happen, now I know how they stay in business

After leaving Trail appliances where I had a totally horrible experience (See Trail Appliance Google review), I went next door to Hometown where I spoke with Wendy and Joe. These people were very professional and courteous. I purchased a freezer for a very fair price which they had in stock and was loaded and on my way home in less than 15 minutes. This is how a business should be run. Good job Hometown!

We bought a leather theatre seat loveseat, with power control September 2021. It was not cheap. When it was delivered I noticed very similar dirt in the compartment where we keep the remotes. There were no tags attached even though my daughter bought one a year ago with tags attached when she got it. Also, on the floor one side was not plugged in and the electric cords were not there. The one they delivered was exactly the same. One not working and electric cords missing. I phoned the owner and called him on it. I said I paid full price and you sent me the floor model. He denied it and said no. I dont believe we got a new one and he wont discount the price as I believe we got the floor model. Never shopping there again. They have totally lost my business.

By far the most pleasant service we encountered whilst furniture shopping in Kelowna. Friendly, honest, knowledgeable, and yet no pressure service.

We have bought almost every piece of furniture in our home from Joe at hometown. We love their prices and the quality of their furniture. He always remembers us when we come in and will go the extra mile to make sure we are happy. When we bought our bedroom set and mattress from him he delivered the mattress personally as it did not make it on the truck by accident when they went out for delivery. We will continue to shop at hometown and highly recommend them to anyone looking for good furniture at fair prices.

We bought a leather recliner from Hometown in Chilliwack.It started making the usual leather on leather noises so we tried the cleaner/conditioner that came with. It didn’t work.We went to hometown to see if they had something else.The woman we talked to was rude, plain and simplest rude.She immediately said that they don’t deal with the company that supplies the product and we were to contact the company.So in other words, if you buy something there don’t bother going back for a solution, they don’t deal with that sort of thing, go elsewhere.

This is our second big purchase from Hometown Furniture and the customer service has been outstanding! Thanks to Joe and a very special thank you to Vicki ( Store Manager) who really took great care helping us with selections and delivery to our home. Our overall experience, the first time we purchased 4 years ago, is what brought us back. This second purchase was no different. My wife and I are thrilled about our sofa and 2 chairs. As a matter of fact, the prices were 50% less than one of the other major furniture stores. Our furniture arrived in Kelowna 1 week early to our surprise, and delivered safe and sound. Nicely done Vicki! You have exceeded our expectations!

The worst experience with them. We just recently bought Samsung washer and dryer from them. The washer spins like its earthquake coming in home. When we ask to replace the machines, they told us to call Samsung and get it repaired. We bought new machines and they are asking us to get it repaired from somewhere. They didn’t support customer service. Never buy anything from them . Worst experience

Definitely recommend for your furniture shopping. Great selection on mattresses and even better prices. I bought a queen size mattress and box spring and was able to receive it the same day! I have purchased many items from Hometown and have always been very pleased with everything I have purchased up until now. Been waiting 5 1/2 For them to replace an oven door and still nothing.

Just wanted to say a big thankyou to my sales lady V. She bent over backwards to make things right. However, after five attempts at delivering our new bedroom furniture it was still damaged. I cant express my frustration with the owner and delivery persons. Im sure some customers have been vrry pleased with their experience but I will never recommend this company to anyone.

Went to look at a chest dressers tonight, knowing I only had 20 minutes to take a look. At first the sales team asked if we needed help but at the time we were just getting acquainted with what they had for sale. A few minutes before six the sales woman approached me to say we are closing and I simply said can I ask you a question before we leave to which she answered however, she kept saying we are closing you have to leave. We were on our way out, we were not holding her back. She obviously wasnt interested in our business and her customer service approach needs improvement.

Fantastic Customer Service. The sales person that helped us was a nice girl named Jill (who shared with us it was her first week working). She showed us all the options they had in the couch style we were looking for and provided info and different advice about what couches had custom options. Very Knowledgeable about the products in the store. We actually ended up buying something we werent expecting to buy because we found such an awesome price on a well made table. They happily held it for us for a few hours and we returned to make the purchase. Very nice girl, fun personality who liked to laugh and joke with us, making it an overall very exceptional experience. 5 stars. We will be back!

My husband and I went in 2 days ago to look for a home office desk. We toured the store ourselves and there was no stock, so we had to look up what could be ordered on the customer computer. We waited patiently off to the side until other customers were done with the screen and the owner (as their sales associate helper).We asked the owner (!!) of the store for the price on 2 desks and after reluctantly providing these, he says to us okay guys, thats enough. I have other customers to help and walks away. He proceeded to help nobody else and we left the store.We bought a sectional from here less than 3 months ago. We have family who have bought lots of furniture from this store over the years.The worst part? I called the owner the next day and expressed all of this/my concerns with his customer service to give him a chance to genuinely apologize or ask for us to return. He spent approx. 1 minute on the phone with me and made excuses of being short-staffed.One of the desks was less than another store but now Ill make a point of asking the other store to price match vs shopping here.

Home Town is fantastic! They are one of the very few that has most of their showroom selection in stock. (i.e. you dont need to wait for months for them to order it in like 99.9% of the other furniture shops in Kelowna) Honestly, probably the best furniture outfit in all of the Okanagan. Great staff as well.

I just witnessed shameful customer service with the delivery of my neighbours brand new couch! She waited for this couch so long delivery date was changed several times. Finally came today was to be delivered when she calls they forgot that they were suppose to deliver it today! He finally arrives with the couch and doesnt even bring help to unload or anything! He pushed the first piece off the back of the truck causing it to hit the ground! He then removes the second piece from the truck and leaves it on the lawn! Now my single mom neighbour is responsible to move this couch into her house! He said he will help move it in the house and jumps into his truck and drives away! Apparently he is the owner too. I will never buy anything from this company!

Was fast at selling it....then emailed about a issue with pictures,...week later...no response so I go in, talk with joe,the owner didnt seem to care...said he would get back,over a month and still nothing. Will never go back or recommend.

There is no warranty provided. Have called three times with no help provided. When they sold us the loveseat they told us there is a ten year warranty. A USB port no longer works and they do not even try to get it fixed.

There are some really good deals here. Was shopping for a new loveseat and checked out this place. They often have deals in flyers in the local paper. Living room, dinning room, bedroom furniture. Some stuff has to be ordered, some stuff is in stock or on the showroom floor. If your looking for furniture, this place is worth a look. Free parking.

Insisted on a brand new couch. They delivered a fully assembled couch, missing the plastic, showing usage. And the floor model is suspiciously missing from the store. What a coincidence.

I am a difficult customer, and after weeks of back and forth these fine folks worked very hard to make sure I had what I wanted and was more than happy with the end result.Very highly recommend for shopping for high quality pieces at less than average prices! Go and see Wendy!

We bought a special order sectional there last year. We paid extra to have three reclining pieces. When the sectional was delivered one of the three did not recline. We were told that they would provide a replacement piece in 6 months. We never heard from them. 6 months later we went into the store and were rudely told by the owner that he wouldnt order the piece. No explanation, he just didnt want to bother. He refunded the money we paid extra to have the third reclining piece after arguing about the fact that we had, and he refunded an additional $100.00. So now we left with $100.00 and a sectional we dont want. We needed to furnish another floor of our brand new home. We went to Case Furniture in Vernon and received exceptional service. We would never return to Hometown Furniture again! Their loss.

Huge selection and seemingly good prices. Im not sure on the quality. I havent purchased anything from them yet as we didnt quite find what we were looking for, but I think they have probably the best selection around.

Wendy, our salesperson, was amazing. Thats where the good service stopped. Our original delivery was almost an hour outside the 2 hour window we were given. Then in the process of assembling our electric reclining sofa the delivery guys pinched the wire causing the protective coating to split which in turn caused the exposed wires to short out on the metal frame. They took photos of it to show the owner so someone could come out and fix it.Fast forward 2 weeks with no contact from the company, I called to see whats happening and was told that no one knew anything about it. Wendy was able to track down the owner who had forgotten all about it. Tried for 2 more weeks to get someone to come look at, fix or repair the sofa. The only person who cared about our issues at the company is Wendy. The owner seems to have zero desire to please anyone.

Vickie is an awesome person to deal with. So friendly and really knows her work and furniture. Very informative.. Now just waiting for our new furniture to arrive.

Terrible experience. No one Ive ever talked to about my experience could share anything positive about their experience either. Run the other way!!Owner doesnt care about you once purchase is made. They delivered our products 5 hrs late and didnt assemble furniture like Joe told us they would. When I called to get Hometown to come pick it back up all Joe did was lay blame on delivery company. I explained that the delivery company is an extention of his. It reflects on his service. All he did was complain about the company and never once even apologized for anything. Real piece of work.I will continue to tell anyone that will listen, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS GUY.

We will never shop here again. The WORST experience that went on and on for one month until the problem, caused by them, was resolved. Unbelieveable. I strongly urge everyone to seriously consider other furniture stores despite the variety and prices at this store. Not worth the headache and stress. A complete nightmare to try and deal with. We bought a sectional and they charged us full delivery before the delivery date. The delivery guys put a hole through our wall with the foot of the couch! It took SEVERAL phone calls with the owner/manager of Home Town to have them fix our wall! I was quoted over $200 to have the wall repaired, but Home Town was only willing to put $50 towards the hole they made! After several more phone calls, messages, and two in store visits, they continued to give me the run around, saying they would get back to me. When I went to the store to meet with the manager, no one could talk to me and told me to come back the next day. When I did at the time they said, the manager conveniently wasnt in. It took one month for them to finally send someone to fix the hole in our wall. Had I not been persistent with holding them accountable for fixing the problem, it would still not be fixed. They never did call me back or offer to refund the $100 delivery charge, and never seemed to be in the store when they told me to come back. Horrific morals and VERY poor business. Word of mouth goes a long way in this town.

Bait and switch with these guys. Was sold new in box and was stuck with disassembled floor model. Was made worse by poor disassembly leading to scratches on bed frame. I would complain in more detail but its pretty clear the owners dont care and wont follow up.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE Ive ever had to deal with. We both couches 3 months ago!!! They delivered them, and one wasnt working to begin with. Weve been told countiess times that someone will come out to look at them and no one has. EVERY time we call and speak to Linda, the Assistant Manager, she keeps saying the same thing someone will come out to look at them - what she really is trying to say is NO ONE will come and look at them. We went in last week and they said come back to speak to the Owner. The Owner said someone will look at them but ultimately he will be replacing them - so, why is it I called and they still havent been ordered and are still wanting to send someone out to look at them.Get your act together - youre running a business here.I highly do not recommend this furniture store.

Very dissatisfied with customer service. My wife and I bought a new king size mattress and headboard/footboard. After bringing it home and getting it up two flights of stairs and set up, we realized it was the wrong mattress. We took it off the frame and slid it over the footboard to take it back downstairs. The pleather rubbed right off the footboard. I had to help carry the wrong mattress back in and the right one back to my truck. I was told that we caused the damage and would do nothing about the footboard. I feel the same as a few other people that have left comments. Theyre very friendly until they have made the sale....

Very crappy customer service. They pretend they are supernice while you visit them to buy something, but after you are done buying, they become just super rude as if they do not even know you. I bought three furnitures from them and the delivery guys scratched all over my leather couch while taking it up the elevator, they did not provide any packing. When I called them, i talked to the owner of the shop named “Joe”- who was super rude and he did not want to take any ownership claiming these marks were from before and as per his quote: “you take it or leave it, I Really don’t care about the scratches”. Then they even refused to give any store credit for it, mentioning they do not give any return for items on sales ( which is a complete lie, because pur friends bought and returned from them before). The guybwas super rude and I cannot imagine this type of unprofessional customer service in Canada. They kind of forced us to keep the scratched couch which their delivery guys made.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Purchased a new lift chair for my 82 year old father. Called ahead to let them know we were coming to pick up the chair, I asked for it to be shrink wrapped, when I got there it had some bubble wrap placed over top with a couple pieces of tape holding it on. Told the guy I needed it shrink wrapped because we were driving 3 hours and it was to be stored for a couple days until it could be placed into the house. He sighed, then proceeded to take what felt like an eternity to shrink wrap the chair. (I had my elderly father and two kids sitting in the back loading area waiting in the heat). When I went back into the store to see what was taking so long, he was done, then asked ME to help him load the chair into my truck. (Seriously?!!!?) Ok fine, I helped carry it to the truck, but couldnt lift it in. So again we wait until a salesman was done trying to sell furniture so he could come lift it in. This took yet another 20 minutes in the heat waiting!!! When he finally showed up, they lifted the chair into the truck, then proceeded to leave me outside to position the very heavy lift chair and SECURE IT MYSELF!!!!!!! When we got the chair back to my fathers house and inside for setting up, there was a power cord missing! So I called the store (Kelowna) and informed my sales lady about what had happened with the loading AND the fact that we were missing a power cord. She didnt seem to concerned and asked me to go downtown Grand Forks and buy a cord. Nope cant do that. Ok, well cant we drive to Trail and get something that will work? (3 hour round trip) Ummm, NO! we spent $1000 on this chair and it was missing a cord from the store. After another phone call she suggested that we drive another 3 hours round trip to pick up a cord in Penticton. Nope again! Cant you just have the store send it to my dads house? (Penticton apparently didnt want to get involved....?) So after a couple days of no power cord their solution was to send the missing cord on the Greyhound Bus to Greenwood, (80 minutes round trip). So my 82 year old father who has mobility issues,(hence the need for a lift chair) drove to the next town to pick up a power cord for his chair. Needless to say I am beyond disgusted and disappointed with the whole experience!!!!! We definitely did NOT have the money to be buying a NEW chair, but due to circumstances beyond our control it was a necessity. I have to say, that I have experienced BETTER customer service from THRIFT STORES than I did from this furniture store. I will never return to this store, and I will tell everyone I know about this experience. Its shameful that after spending money on a brand new piece of furniture that is a medical necessity we felt like were treated like an inconvenience.

I ordered 2 couches and they said 4 to 6 weeks max. It took 9 weeks so we didnt have any where to sit for Christmas & Newyears. Furniture sat in Calgary for over 3 weeks.

Bought 2 sectionals in April 2016 (end of the month) delivery took a few days becauase htey are understaffed. Husband had to help the guy with delivery because they sent one small guy to deliver 2 large sectionals, he would have never been able to get them in the house alone. 3 months later the one side of the sectional is completely unusable because all the springs have snapped and the bottom is completely shattered. 6 phone calls to the store and owner Joe is unreachable. I was told at the time of purchase that these couches had a 1 year warranty..... and yet here we are at 3 months and I cant get any cooperation from the company. As of writing this I have yet to hear anything in terms of a resolution. Go anywhere else, you only get service here up until your purchase is paid for.
