Deli is fairly good, some of the items that are kept in the warmers can get a bit dry. But I really enjoy the employees attitude and layout of the store. Everyone is nice, and even if things are more overpriced here, it’s like a Trader Joe’s trade off where you get better quality stuff.I always buy my protein bowl ingredients here.Keep up the good work

Good selection, great customer service. I had an issue with an item I purchased and the manager DJ was very friendly & quick to make it right. Their prices aren’t the most competitive but overall a really nice store!

Liked best their delivery section, esp. the prepared meals. First time customer, due to the limited hatch chili sales, but will now be a regular customer. Reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is you have to wait for any orders at the juice and coffee bar, which may take up to 10 minutes. Their is also no paper or online menus for the juice / coffee bar.

Awesome selection fresh and premium products. I bought 2 lb of wagyu black raid fillets and 3 lb of tomahawk pork chops Kabuks. These for the best pork chops I have ever had.

The store is often dirty, and staff are sometimes rude. I wouldnt trust their cooked food at all!Today, in spite of a County Health order mandating masks indoors due to rising COVID cases in the county, almost half the store was maskless. We told an employee this made us uncomfortable and that it certainly wasnt safe, and we were told that California Fresh wasnt enforcing the County Health mandate! Store employees were specifically told that in spite of the sign on the door, they werent to say anything to the maskless customers who put the rest of our health at risk!Dont shop here! Dont encourage this behavior!By the way, if you see violations of the County Health Order, there is a form to report it! Just Google COVID 19 Compliance SLO County! You can post photos there as well.

Great organic produce section and healthy choices throughout the store. Spectacular liquor selection with some very good bourbons and whiskeys.

Best full everything grocery store in Northern/Central CA. Gourmet, Hard to find produce, Healthy &/or Organic, Specialty Bakery. Fresh help yourself Olive/appetizer/pickled bar. Help yourself grains, flours, nuts, dried fruits bins. Grind your own Peanut or Almond butter. You name it, they have it. Every kind of cooked prepared fresh foods available to eat there. They even make up Prime Rib (my treat!) sold by the pound daily. Great espresso coffee drinks/protein shakes/ice cream center. Top shelf Liquor/wine dept with free wine tasting many evenings. Great gifts thru out the store. All sections have recently re-opened since COVID temporary cutbacks. Dining booths in front of store have USB/electric outlets. Strong free internet access. I live 175 miles north. My job brings me down & I look forward to doing all my holiday meals grocery shopping there. Im not an employee or owner. Just very impressed.

Thanks so very much for your kindness, your assistance and your smiles.I hope you all are able to soon increase your selection in Pismo Beach with gourmet foods like the store in Los Olivos.I did have a small issue you might help me understand. Frankly, it bothered me because I value my relationship with the butchers.Last week, I needed a small brisket and only found a packaged almost 12 pound one for approximately $45.00. I asked the butcher if he had a smaller one. Another butcher later handed me a smaller one that was 6.5 lbs which he priced at $65.00.I asked why and he said it was a “flat cut” brisket. I think he just cut the tip off the larger one and repackaged it. Not having time to argue about this or refuse given I needed the brisket, I paid the price 65 dollar price and left. Is the customary? If so, shouldn’t the customer ne informed of the price difference before proceeding with the repackaging?Please have a good week and take care.

A bit on the expensive side but still extremely reasonable... Most notably corn on the cob was 1$ each and when I called on the phone to ask the person taking my call seemed extremely frustrated that I had asked such a question... But hey we all have bad days would still highly recommend

Got to watch this place. They often overcharge on items that are on sale. I dont think they update their system with the sale prices.

I have been visiting from Texas, here to wish my mom a happy 81st birthday, we stopped in for ice cream today and Anya was the most helpful, kind, and patient worker its been my pleasure to speak with. We tried samples, we left with cones....it was so very yummy! Thank you thank you for making the last day of my trip and my moms birthday super special! Great day of Hatch Chile roasting at California Fresh market in Pismo Beach. The Chef did an outstanding job as usual.

The deli staff is terrible. There personal conversations are their priority over customer service. The guys at he meat counter are much better. Overall I really like this store.

California fresh is a great store. Most of the people that work there are lovely. Tonight Tristan was rude and snarky for like the fifteenth time. He dropped my broccoli and said “that never happened,” I of course laughed and he then gave me a dirty look and said, “ I don’t see what’s so funny about that joke,” in a super rude tone. I understand that everyone needs a job but that kid needs to be put where he isn’t dealing directly with the public. He’s rude as hell!!!

Everything is always fresh and the workers behind the counter will offer a taste test if you so desire

Very expensive for an IGA store, also the checker was very rude on the evening of May 18th 2021, we were visiting from the Bay area, and asked her for information about the beach she lied to us and said that the beaches had been closed for a month. Maybe IGA should send her to the midwest or somewhere where they dont rely on tourism.

Great place to shop, it has great deals and discounts. Bad thing is that lines are super long any time I go. Wait time in line always seems to be 30 minutes.

I was blown away by their inventory and it was the cleanest Market Ive ever visited. This is where Im spending my money whenever Im camping nearby.

Really good beer selection. Really good selection of Deli/Sushi items. It is like Whole foods but seems more local. It had a very nice selection of beer and wine/spirits looked to be too notch. Prices were not cheap but Its not a place you would think prices would be.

I have recently gone to store and they are not following Covid guidelines. I will not go again, even though I like the market. If they are not concerned about the health of their customers, then what other guidelines are they not following as a marketing

This is the best grocery store in the whole 5 cities area. Great selection of everything. Delicious cafeteria area. Their sushi is the best grocery store sushi Ive ever had. Tons of different wings. Butcher selection is crazy, pichana and wagu beef. And they even have deep parking spots that my truck can actually fit in!

Local version of a cross between Whole Foods and Safeway. Reminds me of a Nugget market. Have great produce and mest department. Has the standard products you expect and a grocery store plus other nature shampoos and lotions. Great service and good prices. Has a prepared food department that looks good too.

If you are in Pismo Beach for whatever, coming to this market for any grocery needs you may have and if youre local, you already know that the store is pretty awesome. California Fresh has got to have the freshest produce I have ever tried. The prices arent the cheapest but the produce is top quality. They also make homemade chips, (and other brands) that are REALLY good. Their homemade chips are the perfect saltiness and crunch. They make sandwiches and wraps, too. Their whole deli section is 10 out of 10. I definitely suggest California Fresh. Theres one in SLO, too.

I just had the BEST Chili Relleno tonight. I came for the Prime Rib which is my favorite but they were out tonight...I got there at 815 so the Gentleman recommended I try the Chili Rel. I love stopping at this market coming from and go home to the Bay Area!!!

This is my favorite go to market. It has a wonderful deli department, meat department A nice variety of organic fruits and vegetables, as well as organic foods, baked goods and a supplement/ vitamin department. There is a beautiful salad bar and hot food bar.. A coffee bar, and a sushi bar, as well as an ice cream bar. There is a large vegan selection, as well as local specialties. The wine and beer selection is extensive.

I honestly love this place, but Im not a big fan of having a cashier threaten me with assault for taking a little grocery basket to my car; to quote her if you take that to the parking lot we will chase you down. Incredibly rude and uncalled for, learn to speak to people appropriately.

I like this store. Not the best produce section but their deli area is solid and they do have a decent butcher shop. My issue is with policy. My 3year old ate an apple while we shopped. I let the cashier know this at check out and apparently the policy is to charge for a full pound of apples since the eaten apple couldn’t be weighed. The attitude of the cashier is what gets me. She was extremely rude. I’m happy to pay for anything and everything my child eats while shopping but this is the first time I’ve actually been reprimanded about a little kid eating something allowing me to shop and spend over $250 at this store. I won’t be back. There are other stores with better customer service and policies.

A decent grocery store, which can be compared to as something a little less than Whole Foods, but better than Vons. They have many events hosted, even during COVID, like the fire roasted chiles, which they had last month. They have proper safety measures during COVID-19, including regular cleaning of touchpads and social distancing. They also burst a wide variety of products, exclusive to this area. The produce and meats here are not too bad either. A better than average grocery store overall.

Since New Frontiers became Whole Foods I have enjoyed shopping there less and less. Product lines have diminished while prices have continued to increase. I was happy to find that California Fresh Market carries many of my favorite products and the pricing is reasonable. They had a nice meat and cheese selection and everything looked really fresh. Check out was easy and fast.

This store was awesome. They have everything and Im amazed at how well they pack all that stuff in the store. Its well organized. They offer fresh products, food, healthy, delicious, ready made, and grocery items. I found the marked down valentine candy and it rang up wrong. It was so easy when I went back through the line to correct it. They didnt ask questions just refunded the difference. I was almost shocked by how good the customer service was.

Upscale grocery with prices generally above average for the area. I usually shop here only for advertised specials, which can be good values. Good service at meat counter. Produce is great-looking but expensive. Wide range of salad bar and hot deli bar items for takeout or eat-in...they have some dining tables at front of store. Not my style, but seems popular.

Its really odd to go into a store and have employees not want you to buy items. I had the person bagging my items stand there and judgingly talk about how overpriced one was and how I wouldnt want it until I just gave it and said I no longer wanted it. Seems strange that an employee does not want her store to sell merchandise. I have consistent issues with certain employees at this store that well pre date Covid, although I was told that the virus was the reason for the employees behavior. I have found very expired (over 1 year out of date) items and no one seems worried when I point this out. The deli consistently will not make the sandwich I like toasted, even though it says toasted in the description and even though we nicely ask for them to please toast it when we place the order. When its not toasted its a soggy, gross mess that immediately falls apart. Toasted its a great sandwich but I am done paying for a 50/50 chance of something edible. Again, these issues well predate Covid 19. Congrats, you shamed me for trying to get something for myself which I already felt bad for doing. There is 1 item I come in here for that I cant get at other stores. I want to shop locally but not for this sort of service. I will be ordering online from now on unfortunately. Most of the employees are nice but the ones who arent just make it miserable.

This is the best grocery ever! They make and often put out samples of their super yummy fudge. Staff was friendly, smart with humor. Like trader Joes only better. Deli was beyond amazing. And they have booths to sit in to eat what you buy.

Really great place to shop. Great selection of good and quality foods. The meat section almost always has outstanding deals you wont beat anywhere else. They also have a great selection of natural bath products along with an array essential oil brands. Always friendly and always clean.

Thanks to California Fresh for opening early and having someone sanitizing cart after each use. Price for whole milk is indeed reasonable for the organic variety.

Love this place for their in store cooked proteins, just had their prime rib tonight. Grabbed a salad from the salad bar, dinner for two for 20 bucks. Could eat here every night and have something different. Their fresh veggies are the next best thing to SLO market on Thursdays. Most always have fresh meats on sale too! Very good grocer/deli.

This is one of my favorite stores for fruits & vegetables. Theirs taste leaps and bounds better than any other place I buy them. Us their organic selection is amazing. Their salad bar & deli just wow! When they have a sale there is no one that beats them. This has truly become my favorite store for all my fresh items hands down. Local eggs too. Cant beat that.

A unique grocery store, even quirky in some ways, but with all the usual stock. A larger representation of healthy products. A interesting wine & liquor section, offering some less common bottlings. Probably a bit higher prices than the typical big chain grocery stores. A substantial deli section. An olive bar.

Such a good place to shop. Everything is fresh and appealing. I stopped in today to get a product I was looking for and found that they are the only ones in the Five Cities area that carries it. I spoke to a lady who was stocking a shelf in the health and beauty section and she got off her ladder and walked me over to where the product would be. You dont get that very often. The product was completely off the shelf but she told me that they had just ordered it and it would be in in the morning. This store can be a little pricey with some items but well worth it with the customer service they give. Everyone is friendly and professional.

Girls working deli making Sandwiches were rude. Too busy laughing and talking not paying attention to costumers. I got home and opened up my sandwich nothing in it! Just plain dry bread!! Never going back. Definitely don’t recommend this place. just awful to think they would go out of there way and do that. Disrespectful staff. Filthy floors.

They have a sushi counter! Everything made fresh daily. Prices are better than most sushi bars in the area. The deli is always offering a wonderful variety of deliciousness too.

Best market in the county with the best produce and meat. If you shop their sales, its also the least expensive, but if you dont, its not. As a consumer, I find that to be a reasonable businesses model, and it allows them to provide both high end and bargain items.

It is expensive, but they have a fantastic selection. Many healthy options are available here, and the staff are very friendly. They also have a great alcohol (beer) selection. Definitely a place worth going.

In this area..it is not too bad. It is a strange mix of a Whole Paycheck place with a Supermarket...but is pricey. Few bargains here. Produce could be fresher. Great wine selection. Not for the frugal. Generally good staff.

Best supermarket in Pismo! There are wide selections of organic and non organic items so that everyone can shop at their respective price points. Often there are samples throughout the store. My favorite is when they have craft beer and alcohol makers come through the store, with many free samples of course!
