21/9 1st time review/customer:-- Highly recommend a walk through if have never been. On main street, just a few shops away from the large, public Pismo Beach prominade/boardwalk and pier, which makes is super fun/convenient to grab candy/coffee as head that way to hang out/stroll.-- A true candy shop providing a wide range of choices--gag/bug pops/candy, salt water taffy, old-school candy (think 70s), chocolates, brittles, toffees, etc. Something for everyone!-- Also, a large assortment of hot/cold coffees & teas (see posted menu pic). [NOTE: the separate order window is shut down like an hour BEFORE the rest of the candy store!]

Super awesome candy shop with nice variety of options and rare cool things! Super Recommend if in the area :) try the peanut butter cups I got the milk & dark chocolate packs as well as the fresh large singles in the front . All of them were delicious.

Spectacular place! I love sweets and this place has plenty to choose from. Definately worth a visit!

Really neat place! Bought some cheddar cheese mealworms and white chocolate honeycomb. Would have given a 5 star but they closed their hot chocolate and coffee early??

Fun place to take the kids and pick out some taffy or old school candy. Oh and they have suckers with bugs in it.

I am a candy conniseur and this store has the finest handmade chocolates. The best fudge and caramels. You can get a Italian soda. I love this place. The cinnamon rolls are to die for. The people that work there are super nice. 10 stars

DO NOT USE A BANK CARD IF SHOPPING HERE!I have been going to this candy store for at least 20 years every time my family and I are in Pismo. They have lots of nostalgic treats that are affordable and its just a really fun little shop to visit.Well... I was in there today and after purchasing candy for my kids, I received fraudulent charges from somewhere in New Jersey on my card i used. I wouldnt have traced it to them, but the same thing happened to my cousin about 6 months ago right after she used her card there.Im so disappointed that employees are selling customers card information and it needs to stop!

Something happened here...divinity sucks now. Blended mochas good but thin and one size too small.

They have all kinds of candies, like salt water taffy, chocolate dipped marshmallows and pretzels, but mainly lollipops with crickets, Scorpio and ants. Very interesting store.

The service is amazing and there are so many options! I love coming here for the shops inexpensive coffee that tastes amazing and is half the price of Starbucks. I also love the all organic honey option since I cant have the sweeteners or sugars.

Love this candy shop. Has a wide variety of candies. Best cinnamon lollipops and cinnamon covered apples hands down. The chocolate covered insects are crazy. Always fun to look at the insect lollipops.

When I travel to a new place Im always looking for unique stores that are reasonably priced. Hotlix definitely fits this description. There is a variety of candy to choose from including gummy, sour, chocolate, and suckers. Additionally, adventurous people will enjoy their selection of candy with bugs in them. They have a small coffee shop that offers a variety of hot and cold beverages that have great flavor and are priced about the same as big name coffee shops.

Okay selection of candy, but their workers don’t pay attention and prefer to just sit around an gossip. Probably won’t come here again. I wish the candy store up the street didn’t close down. That one was so much more better and had an amazing selection of candies and treats.

I used to LOVE this candy store! I would stop in almost every time we visited Pismo. But the last time, when I spent $13 on a caramel apple and chocolate dessert, I handed the cashier my credit card and she said, “Rich parents. Lucky you.” ...excuse me?? I didn’t realize I needed to prove my independence to a candy store clerk. Unfortunately, that will bring an end to my visits here.

Very nice candy store. They have some candy that I havent seen in a long time. They even have suckers that have bugs inside of them like ants and scorpions and worms. I loved going in the store the cashier was very sweet and kind

Went here on a few occasions. Only reason I switched is cause the candy store that used to be up the street closed. Workers here have a POOR attitude honestly. I’ve went a few times and have gotten a snotty vibe. I work in customer service so what I give is what id like to get. Went yesterday for my regular Apple, still same snotty vibe. Only time I’ve noticed their not is when their busy but that’s because at that point they need to ring up everyone fast as possible . Whoever the girls are in front (there’s 2 I’ve encountered) they need to work on their customer service.

Ive been coming here with my family since I was a baby. How can you not love this place! Never tried the candy coated bugs but maybe one day I will. Ill always come back to this place. I love it so much!

I only wish I knew how good the candy was before I decided to leave. I wouldve bought more! This place is amazing with so much variety. I will say the smoothies are sub par but the candy was delicious.Theres plenty of free street parking. I dont think there is a parking lot. And even on a busy Saturday night in downtown Pismo, this place didnt have a wait. I quickly got what I wanted and was out of there without a problem.

Pretty disgustingly delicious. Candied crickets, worms, scorpions and other creepy crawlies for sale alongside traditional candies. I love watching the manufacturing through the window in the back.

We always make sure to come here when ever we are in town. It seems like lately they have less to choose from but their taffy is still so amazing!

Great candy store 2 minutes from the PISMO pier

If youre looking for an adventure this is the place to go. Chocolate convered Scorpions 🦂, meal worms with bacon or sour cream or just salt and chilli taste, lollipops with ants in them, or simply just crickets 🦗 this store has them all. Now if youre looking for regular candy then youre also covered here

I walked in there interesting candy in there. I was very surprised that no one greeted me. I said hello, one of the employees just walked right by. No customer service.

Visit everytime the kids always request. Lots of candy choices. In the back you can watch them making candy. Last visit the children enjoyed a sample of something being made fresh.

Hit or miss with the service. Other two times were ok but this time I had a horrible experience. The red headed young man who attempted to cut my caramel apple completely botched it. One apple was missing a piece and he removed the entire middle piece. Third time there and this had never happened.

I didnt mind paying $5 a piece for my apples but I didnt expect the cinnamon one to burn my mouth and throat so bad that I couldnt enjoy it. Disappointed I look forward to these every year. Havent checked out my caramel one yet.

Great candy store in downtown Pismo. Friendly staff, variety of candies, in store made desserts too. Specialty items include Hotlix spicy cherry flavored candies, insect candies, various chocolates, brownies, and great hot chocolate!

Attempted to visit this candy store at 7:58pm but was told rather forcefully that they were closed when I wandered in after dinner, not that I could tell by the blinking open sign, 10 customers in the store and the time listed on Google maps. Not a very good first impression, all I needed was some chocolate...

Rocky road doesnt even taste that great. The chocolate looks funny. Nothing too special or great about this place or the candy. I was so disappointed 🙅 in my purchase.

Most of the candy is fresh and the chocolate covered honeycomb is amazing. They have those beautifully decorated caramel apples, too.

Lots of cool treats. Even ones with interesting insides. Worms, ants, scorpions. In hard candy and cholate covered. Staff is very friendly and egar to assist with questions.

Love the chocolate-dipped honeycomb and pecan rolls, though theyre a bit expensive. Im always morbidly curious about all the bug candy that they have, but Im still too scared to try them! Maybe someday.
