This place is beyond amazing. We had a foodie friend in town and I wanted to give him a taste of Pismo. We decided on t ting out House of the Rising Buns. Let me tell you they did not disappoint! Having explained to the owner that we wanted to give our friend the best of Pismo for lunch, he helped us pick some sandwiches to share. Everything was fresh and oh those buns!!!!! Mouthwatering! Also, the owner took extra care to make our sammies to perfection. He also gave us a taste of his yummy chili. Oh wow....Please oh please tell me that you plan on selling the bacon jam ( yes, you heard that right) for take home! We will return again and again.

The house of the Rising Buns is a hidden 💎 is Pismo Beach. The bun dip sandwich was phenomenal with homemade pickled red onion and a fresh baked bun of course. The macaroni salad was made the same day. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The salad is just sweet enough.
Wonderful service! Excellent food! Today we had vegetarian chili and a grilled cheese sandwich. So so yummy.Check out the beautiful garden patio. The nursery next door assists in the wonderful and calming atmosphereIf you are in Pismo you must check this place out!
Wow wow wow! If you are in the area or if you are just passing through, like we were, you NEED to stop in here! Even if you are passing the Pismi beach sign from the 101.. STOP right now and get to this place! You will not be sorry! The range of sandwiches is great and flavour combos that the food gods could only dream of! Most things made in house including the sourdough, chipotle and jams. I had the Gobbler which was Turkey based with some cheddar, salad and a bacon jam... the bacon jam was the sweet cherry on top. The flavours just mix so well together. My Husbad had the Roast Beast on fresh sourdough. Obviously some juicy beef, salad, picked red onion which was just phenomenal chipotle sauce and we honestly cant believe how amazing this was. The staff couldnt have done any more for us. Very talented guys, so welcoming and the shop has a super cute seating area out back to enjoy the sun (or shade) wish we could bring these home to the UK! 🤤

I have to say that the bread is as good, if not better, than advertised. I tried the Gobbler sandwich today and it was one of the best sandwiches Ive had with plenty quality meat, cheese, and an amazing relish. Im looking forward to trying other items from this tasty and simple menu!

Gobbler on fire was amazing! The pickled onions were so good and whatever that sauce is thats on there was soooo goooood! The patio in the back is very cute! Im just sad its all the way in Pismo and not in LA. I will definitely stop by again when Im in town!

My partner and I stopped in here for lunch on the way through Pismo Beach and were very pleasantly surprised.The customer service is top notch, first of all. The guy we spoke to at the counter was very friendly, polite and helpful. He even offered us a free sample of their bread.The sandwiches we got (The Jerk and The Gobbler on Fire) were both excellent. I think I chose this place because I just wanted a turkey sandwich, and thats what it was: a sandwich, but much better than most.The patio was so nice, too! Its next to a beutiful garden supply store, so you get to eat with the calming sound of fountains in the background.Even though we dont live anywhere near Pismo Beach, I want to come back here the next time were driving down/up the coast.
Not only is the food amazing, but the owners Bobby & Jason are great guys! Just this weekend they fed all the beach cleaners for free and in this crazy economic time that speaks volumes. Be sure to swing by and support this local gem. The Gobbler on Fire is fantastic!
We were looking for a good sandwich/bakery shop. And this is it!! The sourdough was best weve ever tried. And the pickle, WOW!! Make sure you try the Orange Almond Cake! That alone is worth the trip!! Really cute patio, and very clean!! We are definitely repeat customers!!
The owners/operators here put heart and soul into their myriad of in house offerings. Yes the breads, sauces, and pork shoulder are amazing, but do not fail to try their chili beans. Shockingly good stuff.
This place is amazing . A little on the expensive side but the bacon jam makes up for it . I truly hope they are able to stay in business with this pandemic I would be really sad if this place closed down since it’s down the street from my house
