Always good ice-cream and great service. Prices arent to different between the single and the double so Id recommend the double.
We had almost all 3 teams come & enjoy Scoop Ice Cream and they did not fail us. They were very patient, kind & gave everyone exactly what they wanted. This was a great way to end a tournament.

Was past closing by like five mins (they didn’t say they were closed) owner was there and yelled at us to tell other people they were out of ice cream (which they weren’t) asked for a smoothie they said no they were only serving ice cream ice cream wasn’t great (you could buy better at a store) owner wasn’t very nice. would not recommend

The Scoop Ice Cream Parlor was Great!! Excellent Ice Cream!! And the young man that waited on us was very nice and helpful.
Cute shop for a quick scoop. Lots of flavors to choose from. We had a banana split, which is the way to do, if you ask us! The banana split is also great for those on a budget, because for $6.95 you get a full banana, 3 scoops of the flavors of your choice, and all the toppings. One cone with 2 scoops is a dollar less. Just makes more sense to split the banana split, plus its super yummy!
Small, but yummy. Great customer service, but feeding your whole family, even their smallest available size might put a dent in your wallet, but being so close to the beach the prices didnt suprise me

Extremely rude service. My daughter has an egg allergy and we stopped in here and wanted to know if the ice cream had egg in it (some does, some doesn’t) or if they had any vegan flavors. The woman behind the counter wouldn’t even talk to us and just shooed us away as soon as we asked the question. Perhaps that’s the norm around here but we are definitely used to better customer service when it comes to our kids allergies. Would not come back.

The ice cream was good but the service not good total attitude from I believe the older man might be the owner. He is not a people person and should retire. Customers go and is what keeps them even in business. Pismo has gone downhill along with service. Not returning.
GREAT ICE CREAM! My family has been coming here since I was a child. The staff is friendly and enjoys chatting with the tourists. The only down size is space. The store resembles a hallway and there is not much space to enjoy your ice cream. This makes taking a large family difficult, especially if there are others there.

Its a cute, classic little shop! The smoothies are delicious! The inside area could use a little work, but if youre practical and care only about the icy treats, then it shouldnt be a big deal. Besides, its run by good people 🙂

Ordered a half vanilla/half coffee malt . Asian lady was horrible at listening. Had attitude, made a runny shake with no malt. Got angry when I asked if she put the malt. Said we did not ask, when we did. Im Asian, and I dont understand why it was so difficult to understand the order. The service was horrible. Would not recommend it to anyone, not even homeless.

Staff is really stupid and logically dumb. When you go in there, make sure they repeat your order. In addition, the prices are obscenely expensive. Do not recommend this place.

Ive been going to this ice cream parlor for the past 7 years and only until recently have I felt the need to leave a review. I understand over the years prices going up; totally understandable. However, what I dont appreciate is the rise in price for the pint ice cream ($6.50) and the lady only gives me half a cup full. This is not the first time she has done it, but first time I visually seen her. After the first time when I arrived home I was extremely disappointed, but decided to give another try in case it was a one time issue. The gentleman took my order this time and filled the pint cup completely, which I left a tip to support local business. This time I go with my family and the lady does the same thing; puts a scoop on the bottom and two on top to make it look full anf she hands it over. After letting her know it was only half full, she rolls her eyes and puts few some scoops but doesnt condense like she is supposed to. Unfortunately with the new owners terrible customer service, they have lost a few customers.

Pretty basic ice cream shop. Nothing extravagant or special. Just a nice quick in/out scoop of ice cream on a hot day hits the spot.

Best banana split ever - bar none. Service was excellent and so was the atmosphere. I purposely went there to see if the other reviewer was angry with the fellow patrons or if the place was really bad. My hunch was accurate and she is a prime example of people who should not write reviews. It appears she had heart burn over other patrons and not the establishment. I wonder how much business this lady has lost due to her anger over something Scoop was not responsible for? In any case Scoop Ice Cream was super yummy and worth the 2 minute walk from the pier.

Good ice cream but they dont open on time.We waited patiently for 10 mins expecting them to open on time. 12:30 comes and goes and the place is still dark. Many people walked by hoping to get ice cream but it was wrongfully still closed. They lost a lot of buisness.
The employees are awful people. I asked for the large cup size and the man spoke over me saying “you want the sundae” and I said “the large size” and he proceeded to make a sundae while I said that’s not what I want! He kept pumping hot fudge on it while I told him to please stop. Finally, the lady behind the counter told him to stop and he turned around and literally slammed the cup down on the counter. He pulled out another cup and said ”what do you want?!” I was shocked. I wasn’t even sure how to react because he was very hostile and seemed almost dangerously on edge. I apologized for the misunderstanding and he angrily crammed the ice cream into the cup, stuck a spoon in it and shoved it at me without putting a top on it. My mom asked the other employee, a lady, if we could have a top for the ice cream. The lady grabbed the cup from my mom, took the spoon out and threw it across the counter. It was the most bizarre encounter I’ve had. I don’t exactly know what to make of it. It was almost frightening. You couldn’t pay us to go back there if it were the last ice cream shop on the planet.
Ice cream is good. The employees were less than cordial. Not exactly rude, just seemed very annoyed at us, and when we dropped one of our cones on the floor, they gave us a new cone to put our broken one in. They did not want to replace the scoop that also fell on the floor!
Went there at noon when it said they would be open and they weren’t. Don’t say you will be open when you aren’t. Date was 10/1/2020.
This place is a joke. Any place would be better than this one. Took 10 minutes to scoop ice cream. Bad service, no place to sit, uncomfortable all around.

The ice cream isnt that good and $4 per scoop that is not even the size of your fist. We got 3 scoops for $13. We could of hot 1 tub of ice cream for the same price of 3 scoops. Not worth it

Its dryers and crystal ice cream so ya thats what you get. I do recommend finding a doc bernsteins that ice cream is good. They serve doc bernsteins in Avila at the candy store
