I love the bookstore. It is so beautiful. They have so many unusual puzzles and books and their childrens section is just the nice little reading nook. The antique typewriters in the window is so very cool. Please support your local bookstore!! I know I did and I was passing through.

Words Matter Bookstore is a small store along the main street of Pitmans many family owned small businesses. With such a powerful and meaningful name such as this, one would almost expect this bookstore to have a quality selection of books. Let me tell you, it holds true. Although the selection is small, they have something for everyone. From activities for kids, to brand new releases for adults, it has everything. Oh! Is there a brand new book youre looking for?? Guess what, the bookstore is more than happy to order it for you! The staff are super friendly, helpful, and can even offer suggestions on books for you to read depending on your style! Its a great little nook in the heart of Pitman!

While the book store was cute; The selection was the smallest I’ve ever seen. There was not one horror or thriller novel in the entire store. Not even a mainstream king novel. Was so excited to visit this cute little book store but was such a disappointment.

My family and I love this bookstore. My son begs to visit and Carol is always so happy to see him. He found the old rotary phone, and Carol has spent countless amounts of time talking to him on this phone. She even thought him how to use the typewriter!This business is reminder why local hometown shops are so much more then just a store. They become like family! This alone made me never want to buy another book anywhere else.If you havent shopped here yet I highly recommend you do!

The first time I stepped foot in Words Matter, I knew this would become my go to local bookstore. Even though I live on Long Island, I visit my parents many times throughout the year, and I know that I will always make a stop here anytime Im in town. And, I have made much use out of Keryls amazing website. Keryl, the owner, is so kind and makes you feel like part of the bookstore family right away. If youre in the area, make it a point to check out her really beautiful store that houses such an impressive collection (and Im so happy that theres a great selection of LGBTQ* lit. and writers of color).

This bookstore is SO great! Excellent selection, and if theres something you want that they dont have theyll order it and you can have it delivered for free to the store or your home if local. Cute activities for kids, and lots of awesome gifts and games as well. Happy to have an independent bookstore nearby. Well be stopping by often!

I’ve ordered twice now and had very positive experiences both times. Some of the items I ordered weren’t in stock and they arrived faster than I expected. The owner was so nice and let me know as soon as my items arrived, did free local delivery, and included personal notes each time. The Words Matter bookmarks were another nice surprise. I’m looking forward to shopping here more often and highly recommend! You will not be disappointed!

Great selection of books related to race, social justice, meditation, and diverse children’s literature. I bought a brain puzzle for my Dad for the holidays and saw several other great ideas for close friends. Highly recommend stopping in and checking out what they have. The owner is very friendly and is considerate that their shop serves and inspires the community. Shop Small, and support this great local business.

Keryl has opened a hidden treasure right in my backyard! Words Matter has a great selection and if by chance my book is not in stock, its absolutely no problem to order it. Orders come in quickly and delivery is available. Amazon was my bookstore, but not anymore. I love the personal touch!

I ordered online on a Sunday, and my books were hand delivered (at no extra charge) to my door on the afternoon of their next business day. Better service than the big chain bookstores. It’s very easy to shop locally when the service is this good!

Words Matter Bookstore is a wonderful little book store! I would definitely recommend this shop! And it’s very convenient because I don’t have to travel to Haddonfield to Inkwood Bookstore to get my books! The only down fall wish they could deliver out to my house!
