This place is perfect! Every grocery I need in one place, not to mention great customer service in all departments including the meat department and fair prices. I did have a small situation as far as getting cash back. They only allowed $100 Cash back per transaction. But the customer service provided to me was so great the cashiers on services figure out a way around policy. That kind of help to me is 110% above and beyond. For that special treatment to me. Im making this store my loyalty store. I wont have to go anywhere else for my grocery needs, I dont even have to stop at the bank. FYI if you sign up with there online program you get special offers and weekly discounts.

Best Mexican food in town

They have the best customer service, employees are helpful. The place is always packed but theres never any lines because the people at the front are that good. Also the restaurant side has really good food

When you walk into Cardenas you are greeted with the wonderful smell of Mexican food and cheery sound of Latin music. Everything is bright and clean. The cases full of great looking meat, cheese & seafood. The produce section has an offering of a good variety of fresh vegetables and fruit.

It’s a nice and clean grocery store. Well stocked. The issue is the meat isle and vegetable isles do not have signs in English. Everything is written in Spanish. I understand it’s a Mexican store but they don’t serve just the Hispanic community. It’s total discrimination against non Hispanic citizens. Are they saying only Hispanic people should visit the store? Why have a store in The United States if you can’t cater to everyone equally. I was disappointed. I am from another country to but I firmly believe things like this causes segregation in the community. They need to serve responsibly keeping everyone in the community in mind.They ask for feedback and provide a phone number to call but the point is do they really act on these reviews? Most workers speak Spanish only. I wonder what’s the hiring criteria. Are they purposely discriminating against people who don’t speak Spanish?

I always have a great experience when I shop here, sometimes the employees can be a little slow in heling in the bakery & meat market, but other than that Ive never had any problems.

Cardenas is a great place to visit to buy your necessities for the house thera are allt of things, like most of the things that you need your house, you can find easily in these store because cardenas is a big store that there millions of things that cardenas sells, like fruits, alcohol, ice crram, meat, bread, chicken, and amomg other things. I really recommend this place to go there to buy yoir necessities because you dont need to go other store to find your things that you are looking for, becuase you can only go to this store to find the things that you are looking for. Very busy i like shopping here for the fresh food. But if im not shopping for meat cheese or bread i would not shop here due to the lines. Lines can be very overwhelming.

How can you improve or offer assistance when you dont understand your English speaking customers? I was asking a question, and neither the clerk or the security guard could understand me. I left in frustration. Since I have mobility issues, I didnt feel like searching for an employee that would understand. This is concerning, the security!

This place is not only a place where you can get authentic Mexican food, and believe me, you wont be disappointed at there selections of everyday favorites. The food are always warm, and ready to be served to hard working people. They also have groceries and great selection of meat product. The cheese, oh the cheese, great cheese selection as well. We enjoyed our lunch at Cardenas. My husband got a torts and I tried the birraramen (birria plus ramen noodles). The ramen noodles could have been cooked a bit before adding to the broth since they were quiet fully cooked. The pan dulce was fresh and there was a large selection!

Went to LA cocina mexicana and the food looks like its been there all dayAll dry and the guacamole was brown. Complete turn off. No Bueno Cardenas markets. You can do better.

Hot food is really good and more

Some things are hard to find when youre used to a Safeway or similar store. But some staples in my house were competitively priced. Most of whats on this plate (and in hand) was picked up there.

Made a mistake in giving them one star. This is by far the worst grocery store you can go to. From the workers to the Management. This place needs a complete overhaul. Ive been in here a few times now and I have yet to come out with any decent service. I can go on and on but Ill just stop at this if you have all day to stay in a grocery store then this might be the place for you.

Ok, how was this packed on May 24th 2021 when its the 23rd! Not saying the stuff here is bad but now I wonder how much they lablel stuff as packed on this day when really its days old but stock pile it all to sell on a later date.

Is a good place to shop but be wary of high prices been higher then most places for instance i bought a watermelon and end up paying 12 dollars when other places have a set price of 6 dollars.

I have been to other Cardenas in a Different City and this store in Pittsburg California is not good. They have messy staff and the cashiers are rude and slow.I avoid going there at all cost please dont waste your time with this store.Super dirty not worth the visit. The owners need to get rid of the entire staff or else this store is going to go out of business soon. Buying meat from this store in Pittsburg California is like paying for your own infection it stinks so bad by the meat counter. Stay away

Went to buy stuff for posole. Also bought some food from the food court area and the lady helping us was rude. We bought an item that came in packaging that didnt close and when she seen us struggling to put the lid on just ignored our request for a new lid. Aside from that I really like this place.

Over 10 minutes waiting at deli. Nobody showed up.

YUMM tacos and great produce selection

I have shopped twice in this grocery store. The first time I bought fruit (raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries) the raspberries were moldy the very next morning..I went again yesterday and I bought fruit again. This time the blackberries were moldy and disgusting. So tired of spending my money on their food for it to be bad and a waste of money. Please do better with sorting and going through your fruits.

Besides lots of people in line there is tons of food to choose from. They make tortillas in house corn and flour. You can buy food from the deli and eat it there.

I do not recommend ordering cakes here. I paid and preordered 2 leche cakes to be picked up in a few days for birthdays. I came back with my receipts and they did not have my custom cake the first and the last time. They either did not make my cake or can’t find it. The first time I was given a refund. Today I had to take a cake that was on display. I don’t know how long the model cake was on display but it taste bad. I think the cake given to me was made several days ago. Cake was not fresh. I preordered 2 custom cakes and never got what I paid for. I was very disappointed. I will never order any cakes here anymore.If I want birthday cakes then I will go elsewhere. This is bad business.

One of my favorite places to shop. Great variety of Mexican food. Plus their hot food options are amazing!! Be prepared to wait in line, they will get to you and they do speak English and Spanish.

Shop here frequently. Love the produce and fresh food at the cantina. However, I think they need to organize the department. I often wait too long to place an order. There is only one register and the wait time and lack of organization can get frustrating. Would eat there more often if not for that inconvenience 🤨

This supermarket has good selection of fruits, sometimes good deal as well. But the lots customers that go to this supermarket dont heed to the Civid-19 social distancing. Even though there are decals on the floor to go to the cashiers, most of these customers ignore them. The cashier didnt say anything to the customer behind us to stand on the decal and maintain 6 feet apart, unlike at Luckys supermarket we went the other days. Yes, the crews of Cardenas seem to need more training in regard to Civid-19 Countys order.

Cardenas has a fresh meat & seafood department, fresh produce Bakery, Fresh fruit drinks and cooked food and soups, fresh tortillas made every day.

First Star: Is the location neat? Yes. The floors are swept and the aisles seem neatly stocked.Second Star: Is the staff friendly? Not quite. The staff can be friendly, but you have to find them first. They all also seemed to be overworked or pulling double duty. Its difficult to provide service if they have no bandwidth.Third Star: Is the service prompt? No. Everything here moves at a glacial pace from the checkout counter to their lunch and juice counters.Fourth Star: Is the product/service satisfactory? No. Cardenas taking over seems to have precipitated a slow drop in quality all around.Fifth star: Is the price acceptable? No. Everything seems to be just a bit overpriced here. Its not worth it unless youre looking for a specialty produce or deli item.

After seeing an employee in the bathroom Urinating and going back to work without washing his hands. Today its the last time I will shop there.

This store is known for over charging customers. Charging customer for products they didnt buy. We didnt notice it until we were home. We decided to go back and get a refund and the same cashier pretended not to remember after only 15 minutes. This is unacceptable! Management did nothing. Customer Service is terrible. Worst experience ever. Do not shop here.

I prefer Cardenas market to buy fresh vegetables and fruit and some meat.

I wanted a burrito but theres no cash register at that part of the taqueria so I had to stand in a long line at the prepared food section just to order the single item. On top of that an employee cut in front of me and I had to wait for her to show the food discount card. The burrito, however, was fine. It was large and juicy and nicely spiced.

Great Hispanic food market with everything you need from an extensive butcher department and incredible spices selection. Dont get me started on the Bakery items there are so many choices best part is the pricing was great too!

A little pricey

If your looking for good quality food go elsewhere. This is not the place for you. Their hot food line is a joke manager and employees both need to be coached. This place has some definite health concern issues that need to be addressed. Also, Young female at the hot food section around 1 during peek hours is very rude and unprofessional. Will not be coming here anymore.

I went in with my wife and kids to eat some tamales the other day because we use to like their tamales and the cashier in the deli charged us the wrong price because my wife added salsa and onions to her tamales and the girl charged us more when she shouldnt have either way i paid and we sat down and started to eat and as soon as we bit our tamales we noticed that they were sour and had a bad smell to them they were not good anymore so we got a refund and got out it was disgusting. On the other hand bakery and meat looked good.

Food at their food counter was cold. The champurrado was barely warm. They also have potato salad in plastic containers over ice but the containers warm to touch. Will NOT return to that store

Some of the employees in taqueria are are rude. They need to acknowledge customers that the kitchen is closed instead completely ignoring the customer. Woman clearly saw me in line and just passed by me. So another employee finally told me the kitchen was closed.

This place has a great selection of choices, on the other hand the cashiers and some of the workers there has a bad attitude toward black shoppers. See I come from Lafayette where all the rich people live and work in Marin County. I come out of my way to shop here because its cheap to buy food here in that case Ill take my money elsewhere.

I hated this place. There were no carts and the lady brought us cart full of beans. There were beers splattered all over the cart. When I walked in it smelt weird. I recommend to just go to Las Montana’s.
