Wow! The Safeway in Pleasant Hill is the biggest one that ever been in! The shelves were I would say where about 98% full. The store was very well kept, nice and clean. Check out was easy and staff appears to be very professional and courteous

Great selection. Too great...I spent $638 for 6 people. 4 males/2 females/4 dogs/1 cat. This will last maybe 2 weeks. Im sensing a price increase and an end of days...dooms day vibe going on.

Their “cat” section is lacking a lot of pet staples. There is a really grumpy lady that works in the Deli, she’s really rude with customers who don’t understand how the deli process works, newsflash lady, not everyone has worked the Safeway Deli before. She only gave me 1 chicken tender today in an $8 combo and her excuse was, “it’s a big tender so it should count as 2” I told her that she, “ Doesn’t make the rules in chicken quantity” and “ In the past I’ve received as much as 3.5 tenders.”She then went into the back for a couple of seconds and came back to say, ” The manager says you can only get 2 do you want to ask them?”I thought this was unprofessional on her end too because,1. I didn’t ask for the manager.2. I was already leaving the establishment.Don’t know her name but I’m sure I don’t wanna come back.

Absolutely HORRIBLE!! the security followed me around as I was simply going in to use the restroom and get a drink.. even the manager buddied up with him and when I came out of the restroom they were together staring at me. Very very uncomfortable. Wouldnt recommend it to anybody 🤮🤮💩👎👎👎

I went to Safeway at 600 Bailey Road In Pittsburg CA on 6/17/2021 to place a order on a cake.I ordered a size 1/4 white cake with fresh strawberries filling and white buttercream icing and a image picture and when the cake was pick up on the day of 6-19-2021 and got to me the cake was not even done like it was on my order form that I placed. I was very upset and unhappy with my purchase of my cake. The cake was a chocolate cake with white buttercream icing they didnt put no filling in there and my picture image wasnt on there. I will never ever purchase a cake at the Safeway again. My real rating is 00000000000000000000000000000000000

Super irritated with the customer service from this store from the Bakery and the Manager. I went into order a Cake from the bakery because I always get our cakes there. No one was around. I went to the front and asked if I could get some help with a cake order and the young lady went to get me some help. The asked the manager if she could take the order and she didn’t even bother to come out of the office and simply told the other workers to tell me to come back or order it online. I have ordered cakes at other time when bakery was not open because they simply just write down my order and tell me to pay at for it when I pick it up. It’s not like I was taking the Cake right then and there! So I went online and you can not order a cake from the book online. I called bakery to try and order it over the phone and was told sorry we only do in person orders now!!! This is so irritating because the manager says one thing and the employees say another. This store Definitely need to improve on their customer service!!!

Shopping was great! I was able to find everything on my list - including the baking ingredients! Store was very well stocked and there was almost no empty slots. Lines were reasonable and I didnt have to wait outside before entering.The only reason I dont give it five stars is because I think they need to manage their Starbucks better. It is too crowded with people waiting for their drink order.Suggestion: maybe a separate outside line for the Starbucks and limit the amount of orders that are taken at a time, or maybe take their order and then make them wait outside (while social distancing) and have a person call their name, or if there is more than one person in a group, only one person can come in and make the order? Just a suggestion.I appreciate that the staff is staying professional and kind during this time. I know it cant be easy servicing the public during this time. They are doing an awesome job!

This Safeway was well stocked and I was able to get what I needed quickly. I was surprised by how many cashiers were open at this location and checkout was a breeze. I usually have to wait in a long line at my usual store because they dont have enough cashiers open which they say is because of Covid but its always been that way even before. Thank you!

Bad service the workers acts like they don’t want to be at work. You ask a question the workers have attitudes like they don’t want to answer your question. I shop Safeway’s all the time in Concord Ca. and Walnut Creek where u get the best service.

The staff went out of their way to help me out..my little ones love to run around, and make messes (who doesnt? lol)

Safeway is always reliable, with great customer service and a wide variety of products. It is a bit more expensive than Winco, but the Safeway produce section is large and has a decent selection of organic produce. It is one of the businesses like McDonalds, where no matter where you are, you know that the product will be consistent and the employees friendly and professional. The one in Pittsburg is smaller and older than the one in Brentwood, and is often very crowded with lubes of 5 to 7 carts, but it moves quickly and the checkers are always happy. I am not sure how they keep them so happy.

Not many checkstands open when the long lines started building up.

...I was at the Starbucks inside of Safeway, and getting a drink took forever, they where slow as hell, they should have more employees working in that Starbucks!

Bad products, Expired or will expire too soon, High Prices, the store smells bad, specially the meat department smells like a sewer, will not likely purchase there again.

Always nice. Workers seem jaded and seem to be concerned with theft. Which is not a bad thing, but they sacrifice customer service in doing so. Also, not very clean. Lots of trash and religious people always at the door entrances.

Its the hood safeway. THE steak prices are to high.So i get mines from other stores.But other then that its a fine store.

I love the brands that you carry and your store has great deals when I use my Safeway Club Card.

The shopping experience has gotten so much better ever since the store got new management. They have 4 new self checkout stands plus two new check stands specifically for alcohol sales. All of these changes have made going in and out faster.

It is conveniently right off Hwy 4 and in a plaza where my bank, USP store, Rite Aide, and other stores.

There were NO lines! Their paper goods aisle actually had items on it...everything else was well stocked, at least what we were looking for. Employees were happy shiny people!

Great location, especially the view of the Bay. Close to the Marina Greens and Chestnut St. Fully stocked. Checking out us easy and fast.

I put their trash bags in the shopping carts to take out their trash so you may be shopping with him shopping cart at hauls trash bad management

Prices are too high. Need more cashiers and deli help. The cashiers that are there are wonderful!!! Its a tough store to manage, but lowering prices would be both welcome, and very appropriated!!!

Most of the specialty departments are very accessible except the meat department. I find them unavailable and have a lack of work ethics and accountability.

Public Health Advisory! I went to use a cart from the disinfected cart area and watched the attendant push DIRTY CARTS from parking lot to the disinfected area. I asked him if they were treated and he said NO, pointed me to a cart with cleaning supplies and walked away toward parking lot with such indifference in attitude!I did report this to a checker that said she would let a manager know. This is unacceptable and careless to people that trust we are being protected the best way possible. We are and should be in this together. SAFEWAY, YOU NEED TO RETRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES AND RELEASE THOSE WHO DONT COMPLY!

Security guard followed me around the store at 630 in the morning. Not even good about tracking people :-(. Not sure if AA not supposed to shop in the morning or do we all supposed to steal? Despite the convenience of this store, will probably take my business elsewhere.

This Safeway is located at 660 Bailey Road in Baypoint Ca, with so many stores out of stock during these trying times, I was blessed to stop at this Safeway, it was well stocked and only a few items out of stock. everything was well organized, it was such a blessing and I was able to purchase what I needed.

Happy Balloons.Thats what the birthday cake for two of our office staff people read, instead of saying happy birthday.One of my co-workers picked up the cake from this location after ordering the German chocolate a day before. She didnt even notice until the day of the party in our office. It was pretty funny; however, had it been for something more special, like a childs birthday party, this would have been a very disappointing message to receive on a birthday cake that didnt even have balloons in frosting on it.No attention to detail, but the cake was still delicious!

Has a little of everything and even a bank and a Starbucks. No compliants there parking isnt the greatest but its all the convenience in a small town. My biggest thing about this Safeway is the people. I understand you might not want to bag items or get the carts but part of customer service is the desire to help. More customers offer to help other shoppers than people working there. I know more customers that has offered to help an elderly person, someone with a disability or a family that obviously needs a little help get their groceries to their car than all the people working there watching as other people help those that need it. Shame on you.

This is a big supermarket. It had hot food, fresh food and pharmacy. It is very convenient.

It was busy ( around 4 p.m. on a Friday) when I went in however when it was time to check out the cashier ( I think her name was Inaya) was very fast and she was very friendly. The wait time wasnt bad at all.
