Sambok Korean Grocery Store in Strip District offers reasonable prices for a wide variety of items. They open early, too. Also, out front of the store you can purchase yummy prepared foods. My favorite is the Mung bean vegetable pancake for $3.00. Dont miss it. I had to take a bite before I took my pic. Sooo good.

This place is great and a nice Asian markets they have all your classic Asian food staples and some surprises I wouldnt expect in Pittsburgh. Unlike the other Asian market in the strip everything here was fresh and nothing we saw was expired.Overall great place to visit and buy

Me and my fiancé love Sambok! We come here almost every week for cabbage and cucumber kimchi, but they have so many other great things too. The chicken on a stick is amazing.

They had many Korean ingredients for so many foods that I have been trying to look for without any luck. Finally I came to this store and they had what I was looking for. I bought some of their chicken on a stick and it was wonderful! I also bought some kimchi that I have yet to try. But I have heard good things about it!Definitely will come again when Im needing more ingredients.

Absolutely love this place! The staff is so kind, I bought an Onggi from them (korean fermenting urn) and the woman at the register was so very attentive about packaging it for me. And she even gave me advice for making kimchii. Not to mention they have a good selection of goods. No complaints~

We just stopped in as we were doing a quick one day visit to Pittsburgh from Allentown. Just wanted to say that their Kimchi is sooooo good. We love Korean food and it’s hard to find good kimchi. So glad we got it and it’s sad that we live four hours away but if we’re ever back in Pittsburgh, we’ll definitely be stopping by again.

I just love this grocery store! They always have a nice selection of Korean products and fresh refrigerated goods! I bought their Maxim coffee sticks and I’m in love. Thank you for the kind service! ;)

So happy I came to this place. The selection is wonderful, the layout was easy to navigate, and the owner was absolutely delightful. My nephew and I stopped in for some of our favorite Korean staples and while shopping, the owner brought in a mung bean pancake from the stand outside for us to try. The prices are really quite reasonable as well. I wish we could have stayed longer, so I cant wait to make another visit in the near future!!!Had to stop outside to try the foods... Nephew loved the chicken on a stick, we also shared the veggie lo mein and another mung bean pancake.

I’ve never shopped inside since I have no idea how to make Korean cuisine nor could I read the labels if I wanted, but the food station outside this joint is awesome! Sambok griddle serves up all kinds of delicious dishes. They’re particularly known for their mung bean pancakes which have a custard-like texture to them. They’re very tasty! Love buying a quick bite from here when visiting the Strip.

I try to get down here every few weeks. Customer service is great, Ive never been ripped off. Mostly shop for snacks and often find a new treasure amongst the usual suspects. Cant miss the chicken on a stick or mung bean pancake for a real lunch before trying new sweets.

They make the best fresh mung bean pancakes out front. These are so good that 1 is not enough, always take a few home for later. The ladies out front are friendly and take care of you like family.

If your in to cooking Asian food this is the place to go. Im skeptical on the freezer food. It look freezer burnt, but over all I love it.

I really love going to the sam bok place and tyring out new food and snacks when im at the my house i try alot of there snake and love eatting spicey food . BTS coffee is so awesome i almost have the whole collection. Love tge sam bok store much i go ever month ty.

This is a great store! For their size, they seem to have a huge variety of offerings. The owners and staff are super kind and helpful and their homemade kimchi is delicious! Their outside food stand is awesome and their chicken on a stick is the best! Their prices are reasonable too! It is one of our family’s favorite stops while in the Strip.

My first time in this little shop and I fell in love. So much variety, good prices and the outside grill food is AMAZING! The ladies running the grocery and the grill stand were very friendly, absolutely adorable. Cant wait to try all the goodies we picked up and go back again for more chicken on a stick!

Hands-down one of my favorite local shops in Pittsburgh. They have an amazing selection of Korean goods. There is also eating utensils and other accessories unique to Korea. If you want food to go, there is a small grill in front selling marinated chicken and other quick-bites. They make kimchi and sides on-site.

The man at the counter was very nice, and I was able to find some specific treats that I was trying to hunt down. Its a pretty small store but they manage to have a fairly large selection to choose from.

Tiny little store but has a lot to choose from. I love trying different foods, and there are a lot of good items here. Was just down this week and very nice and friendly service, we even got free kimchi pancakes, they were delicious. If had more time I would love to have tried something from their grill outside, it smelled so good. I try get down here as often as i can

While the Asian market down the street is bigger, this store almost always has Shin Black ramen. For that alone, I will make the extra stop. The woman running the store is very nice. I have a short term memory problem. The fact that she has made enough of an impression that its managed to make it to long term memory is amazing in a way most cant understand.

They sell kimchi and it is one of my favorites. They also have an outside grill with chicken on the stick and different delicious menus. They also stay open kind of late 6:30 or so.

I come here almost every day. Their dakkochi and bindaetteok are some of the best that Ive ever had. Great selection of Korean groceries at great prices. Friendly family owned business.

Owned by a very nice Korean couple, the store is small, but has all the staples for Korean cooking. I get most of my produce elsewhere, but things like perilla leaves, Napa cabbage, and Daikon, etc., I get here. They also have my favorite snacks of my childhood, ramyun... Decent rice selection, banchan and kimchi made in house. They do make/sell vegan kimchi. There is a stand selling fresh food outside. Im not sure when they have it open, as I usually go in the evening right before they close.

Its small so it only has room for the basics! But its reasonably priced and had stuff thats hard to find.

Decent asian grocery. Not my favorite, but it would be worth checking out for specific items. Also they have a food stand in front of their store that serves good, standard asian food.

I bought the mung bean pancakes, very good, a bit too spicy, which I wasnt expecting. Very tasty and the price was right.

We love shopping here for kimchi, nori, noodles, and spices. They also run the little grill outside with egg rolls and other Korean specialties for a quick snack or lunch.
