Wonderful group of people working for this marina!! From Phil (Service Manage) and Pat (Parts) on down the line they were respectful, caring, and careful with my boat! My boat was repaired correctly and efficiently. I was kept informed throughout the entire process from pulling it, doing the repairs, to putting it back in. Great service department and I would have them do any repair on my boat.

This is a really cool place that has great prices on new and used boats the crew really keeps up on the work on the boats from painting to mechanical all the way to cleaning and detailing boats. Great knowledge and friendly staff. If you live in Pittsburgh or just visiting come on over and stop in go for a walk down on the docks or around the lot and check out all the boats. You will be impressed and you will love it l give you my word.

I recently sold my 2001 Maxum at the Fox Chapel Marina . The experience was excellent, my sales guy Justin Ryan was professional, courteous and very attentive to all my needs . He answered all my questions quickly . The whole process went very smooth. They even took the boat out for the Sea Trial with the buyer . The boat was sold within 2 weeks !! Keep up the great service .

Not a good experience. Understandably we are in a sellers market and the sales department has many inquiries but made several contacts and a trip in to discuss purchase of used bow rider with much left to be desired on follow up and interest in making a sale. Explained ideal vessel we were looking for and on two occasions was told on line posting was posted prematurely and did not have basic info such as engine hours and pricing yet only to find out the boat was already being sold. Even asked to be contacted prior to a future listing to no avail and no engagement in trying to work with a serious customer. Needless to say we are enjoying our new boat purchased elsewhere. Cheers

The gas prices are ridiculously high

I was not impressed with this place, when we walked in we were not greeted at all by staff. We walked around looking at the very limited amount of boats they had, unless you are looking to spend some serious $$$$$$$$$$$$ you wont find anything affordable. The boat docks were ok, but unless you are paying to have a boat docked there you cant even walk out onto the docks. There is plenty of better places around if you look, I recommend doing that.

Very happy with the used boat we purchased, and very friendly customer service. I am a bit saddened that between us agreeing to purchase the boat and taking ownership of the boat a week later, the anchor disappeared and one of the hatch arms was bent to where we couldnt use the lock. The hatch also wouldnt stay open anymore. The marina did not take ownership of this, which is why I dropped the rating from 5 to 4. Some could argue dropping to a 3 since the damage occurred on their watch, but its my fault for not being more aggressive towards getting the damage fixed. Overall, I would consider buying through them again, but Ill be more attentive to those details. After almost a week we are still waiting for the boat service records as well. They may have forgotten, so Ill be reaching back out again. Similar to buying a used car, its the buyers responsibility to be attentive to details and request immediately when something is spotted. Thanks again for the sale of the boat!

If you need parts, ask for Pat. She has forgotten more about the Marine parts business than most of the locals combined. I needed a part for a 25 year old MerCruiser, and 25 minuets later I picked it up!! Love it.

Buying my first boat was an exceptional experience at Fox Chapel Marine! Everyone from sales to financing to service were very helpful! Joey made himself available to help answer my questions throughout the sales process even on his day off! Jes in finance was very patient in accommodating my hectic schedule to get to closing. Pat helped me to pick out all of the right gear to go with my new toy! And Roger was phenomenal on my demo and even taught me some tips on how to dock! I cant say enough about the experience I had at Fox Chapel Marine Sales & Service in buying my first boat!

Brought my Mercury outboard jet to their shop a couple of weeks ago to have the shift cable replaced. I go to take the boat out yesterday for the first time since being in the shop and the remote won’t shift out of neutral into forward at all. There is absolutely no way their technician tested the shifter. My buddy and I spent an hour at the ramp adjusting the cable like Fox Chapel should have before calling it done. I’m out $300 and an hour of my time. I called them today to let them know of the mistake and Mike Burnside acted as if it didn’t bother him one bit. Won’t be going back to these crooks and will be sure to let my other boating friends know about them.

My husband and I have discussed investing in a boat for a few years now, so we went to the Marina to just “look” at inventory. Joey Heinauer was our sales host and spent the afternoon with us reviewing inventory. Joey was extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to answer all our questions and was very patient with my abundant questions. We never expected to actually buy a boat on the spot, but Joey made us so comfortable and secure with our decision, we couldn’t help but launch! We ended up investing in a brand new, model year boat and although I was initially intimidated by the thought, Joey gave us so much trustworthy feedback that we felt completely comfortable and know we made the right decision. I see a very prosperous future for Joey at the Marina and I would highly recommend him to anyone! Thank you Joey!

LOVE the spa located here! I like to try out new spas and find my favorite ones and this one is one of the top picks! Staff was wonderful very inviting and welcoming, environment was relaxing and very zen. It is a smaller spa so you and your friend cant get a facial at the same time, but sometimes I like that small environment. I would recommend this spa to everyone, you wont regret it.

I have been buying parts for my boat from Pat at Fox Chapel Marine for some time. I have always found her to be extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. I would also like to add that the parts inventory is very complete. While they may not have everything possible they can locate the part and have it sent in.

Update: Take note of the one star reviews. Companies that do not care about reviews speaks volumes about the company.This place looks really great, but that is where it ends with regard to treating customers well. In short, lots of pressure with regard to a boat purchase, lack of knowledge when dealing with the parts/service department, and generally abysmal service on all fronts when looking for help (Jes and the lady at the front desk providing water excluded). It is almost like they do not want customers, or at least long term, repeat customers. I could write a short story regarding my experience with this place, but it is really not worth my time. If someone from this company wants to contact me to get any clarification or help better my experience, feel free to reach out.

FOX CHAPEL MARINA = FALSE ADVERTISEMENT !!! I sought out to purchase a 2008 Sea Ray listed price was $75,000. I paid $500.00 for a survey. The surveyor’s pictures showed that the boat was trashed with 27 issues in the engine compartment area alone. I asked FCM if they were willing to go down on the price and they said no because all the money they put into repairing the boat. So I asked for my deposit back. Three days later I see the same boat pending a sale but listed at $48,000. I call the sales rep immediately and asked why wasn’t I contacted first seeing I just spent $500.00 on the survey if there was to be a drop in the listed sales price ? She says sorry she wasn’t at work the day they dropped the price. I talked to her boss a couple time because she wasn’t at work, he could’ve informed me of the drop in sales price seeing he was the one who lied and said he couldn’t drop the price because of all the money he put into the boat for repairs ! I found that to be very shady, ripoff artist at best ! Very unprofessional ! What a waste of money and time dealing with FCM !

Looking for a new boat and thinking about a used one I looked online and found the marina. My sales representative was Joey Helnauer who first took me to the used boat section and then sat with me and discussed my useage and directed me to a Bayliner. He was friendly and knowledgeable and I bought the boat.

Products and customer service is the best. Doing business with them for a long time & the staff are fantastic!

Disappointed. Waitress asked three times in the span of less than ten minutes what we wanted to eat.We ordered an appetizer of bruschetta. It came undercooked and gummy.I ordered a Caesar chicken wrap with a side of onions rings. Received a regular chicken wrap and fries.The waitress proceeded to talk to her coworkers, never asked for refills and then when I mentioned the mistake gave a completely unapologetic sorry, that was my badBad service, subpar food and not worth the money they overprice. Go elsewhere.

Boat buyer beware! I was mislead by this marina about a pre owned boat.regarding its previous owner and the use of it. It ran well and they told me and showed me that it had a new bilge pump. Once I brought the boat back home to my mechanic it turned out that it was a complete lemon. the Outdrive was completely rusted inside, the transom was also shot, and i have ended up spending more than 15k in repairs. When i brought these problems to the attention of the marine they told me it was my problem. They do not inspect their pre owned boats at all and have no standards. Do not buy a boat from this marina unless it is brand new.

Over charged for service that was not necessary. Did not get approval to perform the work, then the boat still didnt work even after two trips to the service department. They also double charged us for several parts, and even after they claimed to have fixed it there was an additional part still double charged! Stay away from the service department here!
