In just a few days, owner John Sementelli and his associate, Vaughn, built an outstanding 6 privacy fence, picket fence, and new gate in our backyard -- all of which are outstanding in quality/sturdiness and appearance. Everything was organized and communicated well: Demo day, post-setting, framing/building. Some quotes from other businesses did not include demo. Its worth it -- one-stop shopping here. John Sementelli met with us, showed up on time, communicated professionally, brought us in to consult at times to make sure we were happy with a particular aspect of the job (weird backyard terrain we have vs fence height, etc). Affordable Fence and Railing was not the lowest price we received when pricing our fence. However, during the estimate, they were the only one to bring a sample of their product. They also told us that they build the panels on site, not just bring in assembled panels. This allows the product to conform more with the contours of our property and gave a far superior look. The company gave us a timeline that it would be approximately 16 weeks until installation, which was okay with us. To our surprise, they we able to do the installation after only 8 weeks, which was a plus for us. They all kept us informed of what was going on along the way. Shawn and Nathan were the installers that came on site to do the work. They were highly professional, courteous, and friendly. They talked about the installation and told us that they would be done in 2 days, which they were. They cleaned up the area of any work debris and even put down a tarp under their saw to make sure no saw dust or anything would be left in the yard. They made sure that after the panels were fully assembled that everything was straight, uniform, and level. They even answered our questions about how assembly was done, showing and explaining why they were doing what they were. Then they asked us if everything was to our liking. We would have Shawn and Nathan back to do work in the future without a doubt. Companies need more workers like those two, who, to us, represented the company quite well. In fact, every employee that we dealt with was great to work with.

We have reached out to Affordable Fence 5 times in a months time with NO CALL BACKs. They have an answering service with zero knowledge of the business. I called to ask if they have a show room for the public and they didn’t even know the answer to that question. This business is not worth our time for the repair we need done to our fence. We will be seeking another fencing company to give them our business.

Attempted to get quote for wood fence. Received a response that they were all booked for wood fence installations. I replied that my desired time frame was in the fall or possibly next spring and asked when those bookings would be available. Received a response stating they are “not planning on installing wood again”. For a fencing company, seems kind of odd that they would just no longer install wood fences. Also, at no time did they offer to discuss the available options.

Called them several times and left messages but no one returned my call!

Cameron O. did an outstanding job constructing our fence. He is a very efficient hard worker and also answered all of our questions. Cameron also arrived a hour sooner than expected and stayed late to complete the job. Cameron installed 137 ft of fence by himself in 9 hours. We rate him the highest score possible, 10 of 10.

We just had new railings installed on our front porch and they look beautiful. Our salesman, Mark, did a great presentation and explained everything so well and answered all our questions in detail. Steve, our installer was just amazing on how well he worked. He is a true craftsman evidenced by the beautiful column he built on our brick pillar. We are very, very happy with the finished product from Affordable Fence and Railing and would recommend them to anyone.

From start to finish my fence installation was a seamless & efficient process. Every person I dealt with was pleasant & knowledgeable. Matt & Mike did a great job on the installation. They left me with a beautiful fence & a clean area. No complaints at all.

Subcontracted fence installation, charged about 400 dollars over quote because they had to use a jack hammer, which I am pretty sure they made up the number of times they used it. Waited 2 and a half months for them to finish installation because of part they had to order. They then charged us another 135 dollars for the part that should have been installed by them two months earlier and included in the fence installation. I knew it would take time to have the part come in, but I had to call at two months to see if they forgot about it. Just be wary of quote because you will probably spend an additional 500 dollars over quote.

I never got the chance to post my review from a few months ago attempting to hire with this company. Brian was the rudest person to work with and ultimately he was the reason I chose a different fence company to work with. Anytime I spoke to him it was like I was bothering him. When we would chat on the phone he would be so short with me and never let me ask my questions. He couldn’t understand the requests I wanted for the fence and kept sending the wrong quote and then be even more short with me because we weren’t on the same page. I tried explaining how my cousins had their fence that the company made and he real quick snapped back “I don’t know what we did for them.” Someone else should work the customer interaction portion of the company, certainly not him. Fence by Maintenance is the best company ever and I am so happy with everything they have done so go check them out!

They did a great job on our fence installation.

We just had them install a 6 vinyl fence in our backyard and a railing from the driveway to front door. Both crews were extremely professional and they cleaned up every evening. Our fence was supposed to take 2 days to install, but ended up taking almost 4 because of our backyard. They ended up having to jackhammer for posts and while they did (understandably) charge us more, they did not charge for all the holes they had to jackhammer. Our yard was a nightmare to fence because of slope in the back. They did a wonderful job and we would highly recommend them to anyone.

This is truly a quality company. Great work done in a professional and timely manner. Have been extremely kind in troubleshooting an issue with me and I recommend them to anyone in the market for fencing!!!!

They were reliable and did good work at a fair price. The installer met with us before installing and made sure we were all on the same page. Every time I needed to reach them, if I had to leave a message, they called right back. Ive had troubles with other companies in the past and getting a hold of them on the phone. It was refreshing not to be sent on a wild goose chase.

Needed a couple pieces to fix a damaged fence of mine. Owner personally came out and checked it out, called the office and had it ready for me. Much appreciated!

We had an estimate, called to order the fencing, and were told to come to their office to order. We arrived at 12:50pm and were told by Bill Im going to lunch with no offer to help. When we asked if we should go somewhere else he said I dont care what you do, Im going to lunch. I understand everyone needs to eat, however, we could have been referred to another service rep.

I had a 6 foot privacy fence installed and within the first two years I noticed gaps and spaces. They told me that I was out of warranty but they would fix it if I gave them another job.

Needed some fence. Guy hooked me right up after job was done years ago.

It took over a week for any response after an estimator came out then they turned me away cause the job was too difficult. Had 3 other contractors say theyd be glad to do it and gave way more feed back.

Picket fence. Put up rotted cedar, unevenly spaced, posts not all concreated in. Never rectified.

Hired them to build a fence for me...owner came out and said he wouldnt do it, because I should be living in a treehouse, since thats where my people came from
