If your into a wide variety of all things japanese and anime this is a great place to stop for some unique gifts or items for your home.While not into any of that I still found the place enjoyable and my two children who are super into anime absolutely loved it.You can easily spend a lot of money here as things are expensive but they are not heavily marked up. When I got home and did some price checking against online vendors the prices were the same and in some cases this place was a few dollars cheaper.Cost aside this is a great little store that has something for everyone and must be good as even on a Sunday evening an hour before close the place was packed with people

Got so many cute things from this little shop!! I heard about it from a friend and it is about 40 minutes away from me but it was ohhh so definitely worth the drive for my birthday. Only con is that there’s so many adorable things it’s so easy to spend a lot of money here! 100% will be back!!

I must visit this store each time I am in the Pittsburgh area. Its a delight for the senses especially for those who appreciate the more saccharine side of life. I love to use the pencil cases as lipstick cases when on the go. They are adorable and hold up surprisingly well over time. I always leave this establishment satisfied and with a smile on my face.

I never give reviews but I kinda felt the need to for this store… Everything is sooo cute and it had a lot of nice stuff but the staff weren’t the best. I had went in about 20 minutes before they closed and the staff constantly was staring at me and my sister and it just made me feel so awkward, I get they have to keep watch to make sure no one steals but it was just a bit much and annoying. I don’t like to shop with someone standing behind me watching my every move but other than that it’s a nice store!

This is probably my kids favorite place ever. I love the option to book a private shopping experience. They have so many neat things to find. Some things are a good price, and some are a bit on the pricey side.

If you’re looking for cute and trendy anime items look no further than this gift shop! There’s a nice variety of gifts for your anime fans at a decent price. The KPOP sections are not huge but still has a little bit of everything. My daughter LOVED this store and she especially loved the stationary section! We’ll be returning customers for sure.

I have never been here before but I ordered online and their customer service was great. They shipped out the package the day after ordering and it arrived in 2 days!!! I was so shocked. I will definitely order again.

Filled from floor to ceiling with the most adorable products I never could have imagined! Clean, helpful cashier/attendant. Only 1 group of shoppers admitted at a time (due to virus). A little pricey but very unique and incredibly cute.

Today i decided to check out this shop i’ve been wanting to go to for a while. they go off appointments so when i arrived i rung the doorbell as i was instructed to as i stared at the employees through the window not answering the door for me i proceeded to call the store to let them know i have an appointment they replied by saying they didn’t know it was me... but how would they know either way? i think the best thing y’all could’ve done was open the door and ask if i had an appointment instead of completely ignoring me. i wouldn’t have thought anything about this if there wasn’t two women that came after me and was immediately let in the store. i was also being stared at and followed around by one of the employees the whole time which left me with a horrible taste of disgust left behind. i was hoping to find a new shop to get some cute items to go a long with my collection at home but i will not be returning because of the way i was treated during my time at this store i was extremely uncomfortable the entire time. if i wasn’t getting a gift for my sister i would’ve left and took my money elsewhere. very disappointed i hope no one else gets treated like how i was today

Kawaii Gifts is my favorite kawaii shop and my favorite shop in general. I have been visiting for about 5 years now and it’s always a good experience. The people that work there are super sweet and helpful.

I love the selection! I found this store through them vending at a Pittsburgh convention years ago and was recently in town. Stopped by the shop and was amazed. The staff were friendly and helpful. If I lived closer, Id stop by more often. They do have an online shop, though, so I plan on ordering more later on.

I love little cute things. Whether it be some obscure stationary with kittens and blueberries on it or an adorable pencil bag. Even though this shop is tucked away I could still spend hours here. Its a cozy little shop and the staff is very nice.

Very cute shop, bigger than youd expect with a ton of Japanese character goods (mainly focused on Sanrio). Kawaii Gifts has been a part of Pittsburgh for many years and while you can get much of the merchandise online, theres something to be said about wandering around and browsing in person.

I stumbled into this store when I was searching for some Japanese goods. Its hidden downstairs from the street, but its very nice. To describe it, its basically like a Sanrio or a place where Hello Kitty threw up in. Theres a lot of stuff in one small place and you really have to take your time in seeing everything.Its really pricey. Its easy to spend over $50 in that place when youre just picking up a couple things. Also, I noticed that the stuffed animals were all made in China, so I was not too impressed by that. But being from China, they are not priced as expensive. I usually go here for gifts or for interesting stationary.I think Pittsburgh lacks authentic Asian stores, so I am quite happy with this place.
