Mike was great to work with! He ensured to make my dreams of the perfect ice luge for our wedding happen. Mike was able to recreate the Pittsburgh skyline we had on our wedding invitations and it was perfect! I highly recommend his work to anyone.

I am extremely disappointed in Mastro Ice and the service I received. I am an event coordinator and I was hired to coordinate a wedding for a couple. Last minute the bride informed me they needed to get more ice so I searched the web for local ice companies. It was Tuesday before the Friday wedding and I called Mastro. A young girl named Hannah answered the phone and took my order. She said the minimum order would be 500lbs of ice and I said that would be fine since they had two big silver buckets that needed to be filled. Before I hung up I asked if she could send me an invoice and she said yes we will email it to you. I provided my email and confirmed again if they would be able to deliver it. Hannah said yes that should not be a problem I will give Mike all this information and we are good to go. After she hung up I thought to myself it seemed weird she didnt take payment but she said it would be $112.00 and it will be delivered at 3pm on Friday. So Friday came and my bride tried to call Mastro with a credit card to pay for her ice. No one answered her so I got concerned and called myself. After a few unsuccessful attempts to talk to anyone Hannah answered. I asked her about my afternoon delivery and she said Ill need to take your number and call you back. I gave her my number and she called back a bit later. She told me that she was supposed to call me Wednesday to tell me they couldnt do it but forgot to and that they cant come with the ice today. I was shocked that she forgot to call. I asked her how old she was because it appeared that I was speaking to a high school student. She was extremely rude to me and I asked her what I am supposed to do about the ice and she gave me attitude telling me to go pick it up at their other location. Im not sure what she was referring to, but she refused to allow me to speak to an adult and even hung up on me. I called back and asked her to speak to Mike. She said I couldnt and again was rude to me. I was furious that a company would employee someone as their customer service agent and allow them to speak to me like that and conduct business as such. I called my caterer who was able to call Mike on his cell phone. Mike basically told the cater they will not be delivering and it was good she called earlier in the day as to opposed to 5pm. The AMAZING caterer ended up getting ice for the wedding which I was grateful for. Later on in the afternoon I heard from Mike. Hes a very nice man but gave all these excuses and informed me that Hannah is his daughter who is in middle school. She is answering the phones due to someone being ill. Mike went on to praise me for being proactive and calling in early but that doesnt fix the issue. He also said he does not sell ice to individuals but only bulk supply to companies. Im not sure what that means since I am a company and I did my research before calling to make sure they can provide ice for weddings and they could. Overall this was not a good experience. I will never use Mastro or recommend them to anyone. Any business that employees a middle schooler is not professional and the way I was spoken to by her and the customer service is not okay! Im still upset about this and never never never would I ask them for ice if it was the hottest day in Pittsburgh.

Its crazy here, i watched an employee being encased in a giant ice menorah, and was hand delivered to my cousins twice removed bar mitzvah, after the ice started to melt, his hypothermic corpse landed on my cousins head, leading to a stage 4 pancreatic flu, never liked the dude anyways. Its way cheaper to go here when you need a lot of ice quick. Ive gotten their ice sculptures before also, and theyre pretty nice too

Though the price was reasonable, the 500 lb. delivery minimum was a bit excessive for our needs. Delivery to our venue was early, which ended up working out just fine for us.

They have dry ice and are open Saturday mornings. Prices are reasonable, what more do you need for an ice company?
