Amazing experience from start to finish. Did two flights. One of thr foundation and the other the featured. We were given water and a glass with ice and water with a dropper and tongs.Bailey gave a great history of each drink before pouring it into a glass. It was nice to have information and notes before tasting it. Have never been to a better place to taste and enjoy whiskey. Very nice staff all around. Great lighting and decor.Ordered the Reuben and it was spot on. A great amount of meat and dressing. The fries were cooked to perfection.I cant say enough good things about Bailey. He explained other beverages he made at the bar and was very professional and entertaining.

The French Onion Grilled Cheese with caramelized onions, rosemary, swiss cheese, beef fat was one of the best sandwiches Ive ever had. The pierogi plate hubby had was a winner, as well. Add great whiskey and cocktails, and you have a place to go back to, even when you are from upstate New York...

Worst service Ive ever experienced. Host was a total a&*hole. Made us feel like we were an intrusion to his day having to seat us. Slowest service ever. Ordered a flight, glasses were not rinsed, had soap on them. Thankfully, the server got us fresh glasses. Ordered a 2nd drink, waited 30 minutes, it never came. Host stopped by, asked if we were good, told him weve been waiting for 30 minutes for a drink (single shot of whiskey), he said the bat is backed up. Bartender was actively surfing his phone, NOT serving drinks and casually flirting with girls at the bar. We cancelled our order and left. Will never come back.

Poor service and nothing really special about their distillation. Waitstaff started by telling us the kitchen had one chef and anything ordered would take an hour. Asked about buying a bottle, if they had a product list, was told to get up from my table and go inside for that (which I did and stood around looking for 10 mins, after being ignored by 3 people I went back to my table). The one happy moment was the check was returned to me quickly when I asked. Couldnt leave this place fast enough.

My experience with Wigle Whiskey began when it opened and I planned/attended organizational fundraisers and tours. I enjoyed them all, but find the beautiful new cocktail space and restaurant soaring to a new level! Guests are welcomed in by the beautiful atmosphere itself. Also today, you can discover the standout history of the Whiskey Rebellion, describing namesake Phillip Wigle’s role in it, as “told” in eye catching story-boards along the walkway to the restrooms.Vibrant Human Resources, who love what they do, showcase the fun of this work in front of their guests, while creating amazing craft cocktails that can be served with uniquely delicious food options by the expert chef and kitchen staff.Top notch service professionals, like our bartender, Brad, working with Aaron, Alon, Kalene, Brian, Joey, Katie, and more, are unmistakably dedicated to their craft. I cannot think of a more delightful way to have celebrated my birthday! This setting and its outstanding customer attention will bring us back…with friends!! Thank you Wigle Whiskey! Your very presence on the Pittsburgh landscape makes us all proud !

Staff on Sunday of Labor Day weekend is killing it, were at the bar having a great time! Unfortunately, have watched at minimum 40 guests leave or be turned away. 😕 An employee came in for brunch on his day off and is here helping his team not fail. What happened management? Legit probably lost over a grand today, not to mention the perception of those customers that werent served. Great job though staff, couldnt have done any better!

This is a great place to learn about whiskey, taste various distilled beverages, enjoy a cocktail, and buy your favorite bottles.Wigle offers timed tours. Reservations are a good idea. While the place is a bit hard to spot, youll love it once you find it. They have some limited off-street parking. When you enter, youll be greeted by friendly staff. Our tour was $20 per person (a bargain) which included a cocktail, unlimited tastings, and a one-hour tour led by a passionate, knowledgeable, entertaining guide.Wigle products include wheat whiskey, rye, bourbon, gin, absinthe, and a variety of bitters and flavored whiskies. After the tour, you can hangout in the bar and shop the shelves for bottles to take home.If you like distilled spirits, this place is for you. As a bonus, youll learn about the restoration of the Western Pennsylvania distilling heritage.

Ordered the dinner for two for the day before Valentine’s Day, it had a predefined pick up time, however after multiple calls to the number specified it took actually entering the building to be given our meals only for it to be cold. I wish I could take back the tip I prepaid as it is clear no-one actually did anything extra... food was fine once we reheated it but I won’t be buying dinner from Wigle ever again.--Edit to be 3 stars as the management team did reach out to make it right, but the experience still needs to be recorded --

Would’ve been five stars if the wait staff was competent. Prolly the best burger I’ve had in Pittsburgh. While the food was great, I will never be back. Menu can change so pointless to review any particular item since it may be gone tomorrow. :) Favorites have been crab cakes, burgers, brisket sandwich and olive hummus shareable. Do try! And of course the well-crafted cocktails and libations which have been their hallmark for years now. Lots of interesting memorabilia lining the walls too so check out some history while there.

As it nears its 10-year anniversary, Wigle has accumulated some of the most mature barrels in Pennsylvania. The result is a portfolio of well-aged whiskies and spirits that are hard to match in the world of the American Craft distilling. One great example of this heritage is the recently-released Bottled in Bond Rye. At 5-years-old and 100-proof it is a spirit that belongs on any aficionados shelf!

Review №74

Okay. I feel like this distillery spent way more time trying to do a little bit of everything than focusing on doing one thing really well. There isnt a spirit I would point to as something thats really good other than the really expensive one I bought. Most of their stuff is indistinguishable from popular brands, which sucks for someone like me who likes to buy local. If you want to get a buzz and Maggies is closed check this place out.

Wigle Whiskey Distillery was the best thing we did in Pittsburgh. It’s an award winning (the most awarded craft whiskey distillery in the country!) family owned distillery near the Strip District near the water. My wife, baby and I went on a Saturday afternoon for a tour and tasting and had a great experience.Firstly, it’s beautiful. It’s a large distillery with their bottles on display as art. They have cocktails for sale as you wait for the tour. The tour was the best distillery tour I’ve ever been on. Our tour guide also does theater and kept us engaged in a non-annoying way. She kept it interesting, informative, and fun! She could also read the crowd and able to shift her tour according to our needs.
