I highly recommend this store. I talked to David. He is simply passionate about his job. I could listen to him talk about guns for the whole day, very knowledgeable. He explained and demonstrated not only how things work but why. His explanations included bits of history, anatomy, law®ulations, and of course physics. I asked him all kinds of questions for about two hours or more, and that day I left without buying anything. I did not feel uncomfortable at all. I called Gun Master to find out if they would take a look at my Shot Gun, gave them a description of my issue. They ask me to bring the gun to the store, so I stopped by on my way to work They took a look at my weapon and fixed the problem at no charge. Customer for life.

I need to correct my review. Gunmaster is a nice place. older style setup. which I liked. But they were literally out of pretty much everything. Guns and Ammo wise. Somethings they still had. such as accessories. but that was a few weeks back. so, I need to go back and check on them again. Ive read other reviews that appeared to be good.

This place has improved a lot in the past couple of years. I used to walk in as a 30something guy, and was basically treated as an inconvenience by the old Elmer Fudds behind the gun counter. The had very little in the way of parts/accessories for modern firearms, and their prices were....hardly competitive. Ive noticed that things have changed a lot lately. Younger, more friendly/engaging employees, a whole wall of AR/Glock components, and seemingly more reasonable prices as well. I wrote off Gunmaster several years ago, but I think theyre back in my rotation of places to stop into now.

Its obvious that they have many regular customers who trust their guidance - that doesnt happen unless you really know your craft service customers properly.. Great experience for me.

These guys have always answered my 100 questions, walked me through every aspect of the process, pointed me towards local gun ranges, and have been thoroughly helpful in every way. When I ask to look at a gun Im thinking about purchasing for the 5th time that week, they still entertain me. I cant recommend this shop enough - I dont like going anywhere else.

I was referred to this establishment by an other firearms dealer in The Colony and was told they might have might have what I was looking for. When I called I was greeted with very knowledgeable employees and the news of them having exactly what I was looking for!!! I live over half an hour away from this business, but rest assured I would recommend very highly and would say it is worth the drive.

Resonly purchase AR pistol from gun show . Went to the range it had a feeder problem . Did my research an immediately came across this place . They had great customer service . Was very well knowledgeable about guns they did a diagnoses in the back with live rounds an easily depicted the problem .Recommended the parts to purchase due to shortage (covid) and went back; the problem was no more . Especially for reloading components.They Have not raised prices one cent through either of the current crisis that have created a lot of panic buying/hoarding. These guys have been hammered with customers lately so please give em a break if they dont roll out the red carpet for every customer that walks through the door.

Barely any inventory in handguns, rifles or ammo. I understand the ammo shortage, but theyre out of everything. Customer service is sub par as well.

After going to 2 other stores looking for primers a customer at A competitors store told me to check out Gunmaster. I left immediately and drove to the location as they were closing up. Same guy unlocked the door for me and let me get the primers I needed and did it with a smile on his face. Was blown away. I promise to never come by again so close to closing but I will def be going back. I thank you and your employees for such a great experience.

Came in for 9mm ammo and wasn’t even acknowledged. Took a while to find the ammo and prices were above market value despite other reviews saying different. Customer service is way below average and I don’t think I will be coming back. Such a shame. I really wanted to help out this local business but I guess they don’t deserve it.

Recently bought a gun there, and nice customer service. Smooth transaction as well. I was sent here by a friend to look at their selection of scopes. I spoke to Mike ( i think thats his name) An hour later I new everything there was about the different options on different scopes and different makers. very knowledgeable and helpful.I returned twice since then and both times received great service and quality information. After every visit I leave with way more knowledge than I intended to get. I trust the information I have been given and will continue to do business with them.One other thing I noticed about their pricing. It is in line or better than most the big we have everything from boats to bullets store. This is great since I can not ever find knowledge in one of those type stores.Great pricing, friendly employees, no pressure to buy= my business every time.

Impressive Selection of parts and accessories. Lots of AR gear. I wish I wouldnt have wasted time with ordering online when all the stuff I wanted was conveniently located in one spot with professionals to help make selections. Great place and knowledgeable staff. Im super sensitive about my guns and gunsmithing, so I took my Glock slide there to change the sights and they really did a great job. Took my gun to range and immediately noticed the perfect result. Definitely going back there.

They have a friendly staff, a good, helpful & friendly young gunsmith. I had the factory sights removed & night sights installed on two of my S.A. .45s & he did both guns in less than 30 minutes while I waited & his labor cost was half of what 4 other local shops quoted me. Very happy with my experience there. I now have a good, reliable & friendly gunsmith. The TruGlo night sights that I bought there were also cheaper than I could find on the web.

This would be my favorite gun store. The selection is large and the prices are great. Not just for guns, but anything else you might need. The staff is friendly and helpful. Very honest too, if they think you can get something somewhere else better theyll tell you.

Great place. Lots of products and friendly atmosphere. The desk people seems to know their stuff. They do have a light gunsmith service on site but I dont think he is as skilled as other gunsmiths in the area. Had a hard time with some basic AR mods installation + lack of tools. I would recommend going somewhere else for gunsmith service but the store is outstanding.

Ive been shopping here for years, and love the place! Whether Im there to buy a $2 cleaning brush or a $1,000 gun, Im always treated with equal time, care and attention. If theyre busy when you go in, please just be patient and youll be well taken care of. The guys that work there try very hard to give each customer undivided attention - they arent trying to ignore you, I assure you. Youll definitely appreciate this once you are working with someone, as they will spend as much time with you as necessary to make sure youre satisfied with checking something out, asking questions, etc. Great selection, lots of knowledge, overall just my favorite gun shop, period! Ive bought 3 firearms from this store over the years. The quality was excellent and Im still pumping rounds through them, even 15 years later on a rifle that was sold to me from here. Ammunition selection and price is decent, especially for common calibers. The personnel are a bit dry and may seem somewhat discourteous if youre a younger buyer, but just try and do your research before you go buy a gun and dont look like a thug, either.

The best gun store Ive been to since Ive gotten into firearms as a hobby. These gentlemen are knowledgeable and do not judge a person by how they look. Ive bought multiple firearms from them and I plan to buy more from them in the future. They are my go to shop for information and firearms.

Well stocked gun inventory; used and new. Along with a lot of reloading gadgets. Most helpful and informed staff. And best of all I was able to get pistol reloading powder during 2014 nationwide shortage. They have a notify system; just tell the staff what you are looking and they give you a call when it becomes available. Gunsmith services at low or no cost if you buy the items at shop.

It’s great to have such a knowledgeable gun shop/gunsmith in Plano.I’ve been there twice now, first to install an ambidextrous safety on a 1911 and the most recent time to have a scope mounted on my AR and each experience has been better than the last.Matt, David, and the crew took the time to find just the right rings for the scope + rifle in combination with my shooting position and bore sight it in. This scope probably hasn’t seen the light of day in 10+ years (and might have been dropped in the past) so to say the least it was less than easy and I couldn’t have been more pleased.If you have the need for a gunsmith, parts/ammo, new or guns on consignment it’s worth your while to stop in.

I went in here last year when I was getting the rear sight replaced on my Sig P226. Id previously ordered one from Sig, and just had no way to install it. I walked in, asked if they were able to do it, the sales guy called the smith up. I handed him the slide and the sight and he swapped it out in about five minutes (if not less). When I asked him what I owed him, he said not to worry about it.Before that Ive come in and asked a few questions about different things and everyone is very willing to share their knowledge, but if you act like you know what youre talking about because you read it online, and it turns out that you dont know what youre talking about, theyll tell you so, and you should be glad they do because it may save your life.

Been in here a few times, stock seems decent, ammo seemed decently stocked, so I havent had that experience that others have had. I have had 1 good experience in here and 2 not so great ones. Both bad experiences I was looking to purchase a specific handgun, they had it, they talked me out of it amazingly enough and didnt seem to know much about it, wasnt the right gun for a girl.... I bought elsewhere, but there was another time I went where I was pleased with the experience. You get some good eggs and bad eggs and sometimes people have good days and bad days. I probably wouldnt go back to purchase a gun again, however, accessories and ammo I would be happy to.

When I lived in Plano this was my go to gun shop. I bought my 1st M4 at Gunmaster Inc. They showed me how to break it down, clean it, and helped me with the right optics. Cleaning kits, cases, guns, and helpful suggestions from the staff. What more do you want? I mean it would be nice if they served Fletchers corn dogs too but then Id never leave.

If you are a middle aged slightly balding white male who owns a pickup truck, then you will fit right in here. This shop is very old school which can be good or bad in some cases. I bought a handgun from this place a while back and the process was pretty smooth. Been in a few times since for random things. Took two stars off because 1. Their prices are a little high. This is not 100% their fault because they have to compete with bigger chain stores, but in the times Ive been in their prices were higher than Guns & Gear and Bullet Trap surprisingly. 2. When purchasing some ammo the young man who rang me up practically threw the box on the counter and seemed rather annoyed about something. Didnt even say a word to me aside from here when he handed me the bag. I get that people have bad days, but if its that bad then maybe you should take a break? All in all this place is ok. The guys know what they are talking about and their purchase process is pretty smooth.

David is a great guy in this store along with all the staff. He took my shotgun and removed a stuck cartridge in the loading bay in 5 minutes while other stores asked me to wait for 3 to 4 weeks with undisclosed amount of fee. David did not even charge me a single penny for his service - very unusual behavior in America. The other stores could have charged me big time for the same.All the staff in the store is great people - they treat you with great respect.Eventually, now on, I along with all my hunter friends which are quite a large number in Dallas area will become devout patrons of GunMaster.Mohammad

The guy there spent probably an hour or more with me explaining reloading equipment. . He was never pushy just answered or got an answer to all my questions. He made good suggestions and gave good advise. I would recommend these guys and their store for reloading and will definitely go back. Having said that Ive been to other similar stores and not had the experience I had here (by a long shot). I would also like to point out I live an hour away from this location and the other places I have visited were much closer to where I live. Customer service is a huge thing to me and they delivered.

Gunmaster is not one of those glitzy big-box stores, full of people trained for retail. It is an old-fashioned gun store, with adult staff who know guns, and will give you good advice. I saw that being done patiently while I waited for the gunsmith. They werent actually able to help me, but they referred me to someone who could.

This is THE local toy store I have been coming to for years and will continue to do so. They have a great selection of everything imaginable packed into a smaller store. They generally cater to the more experienced and knowledgeable gun owner and the staff can be very helpful. This is one of those places where being a long term customer pays off.

I had a problem with my Bersa Thunder conceal carry pistol and had messed up the sights. I brought it in and with in a few minutes it was fixed and back in service. I have always found the crew at Gunmaster Inc to not only to be the most professional but the most friendly and courteous in the business. They are not just there to sell you a firearm but to help you all the way in the selection process to answering your concerns after the fact. They will even address, very professionally, your questions about a firearm that you bought somewhere else. They are fair and have always helped me with my reloading requirements as well as answering question about different firearms. They are polite and yes, when the store is busy they do their best to wait on every one first come first serve. They are the ones who really try and be as fair as possible. I am a new firearms owner and stopped in about two weekends ago to check out the shop and learn more about shotguns and AR15 rifles. One of the younger guys really provided some excellent knowledge on both types of firearms in addition to advising me on what models and specifications would be best for my purposes. Their selection of guns and accessories is quite good overall. A friend who went with me thought the ammo prices were quite fair and even a bargain in some cases. Firearms prices were definitely very competitive with online shops as well. I will likely buy my first AR15 and shotgun from these folks because they have shown more knowledge than some of the other shops (big box retailers and local gun shops) in the DFW area have shown me.

Its a nice store and the staff are friendly but if youre a younger customer youre not going to get the same level of attention or help as someone whos older. This is a problem in almost every local gun store. I guess its the stereotype of younger people that arent knowledgeable so its not worth wasting time explaining stuff to them or maybe its because they probably wont spend as much money as someone else. Anyways Id still rather support local businesses more than big chains that have their own issues as well. Ill still visit again because atleast they try.

Ive bought reloading equipment, build tools, parts...just about everything but a firearm. If you know what you want, this place is about perfect. If you dont, most of the guys know how to help without being typical gun store blowhards. One exception - the guy with hair and beard; youll know him when you see him. Good grief, the bulshido that guy spews is idiotic. It may impress some, but is mostly off putting. Avoid him and youll do well. Their used gun prices seem fair. Their new gun and accessory prices are hit and miss. You wont get online prices, but youll get decent service in exchange for the extra money spent - blowhard excluded.

Nope, new owner, new business model, deals for a 25 year plus customer nope, ..just same old same old youd get any place, ..was it an honest buy back, ...for the dealer a quick turn of profit taken ...seller could of said no, but time was a factor, ..so the deal was sadly made ..no sour grapes just business ..think next time Ill pass....

Ive been buying guns from Gunmaster ever since they opened, in fact the owner has been in the gun retail business here in Plano for at least 35 years . Through the years the store has always had competent knowledgable counter men that will take as much as needed to help the customer find a gun that feels right in their hand, so if you are a first time buyer man or lady dont be shy about going in, Ive been in enough times to know the sales guys are helpful and not condescending, if you have a question about firearms or related items they will generally know the answer or find the answer for you. The ownership does a great job of responding to product trends and always seems have what people are looking for . From new guns to used rack there always something of interest in the place, I keep going back anyway.

Best gun store for reloading Ive been to in the DFW area. The sell Dillon presses and supplies and have a great selection of powder and brass. They also happen to carry the small parts for AR15s and Glocks if you need them so you dont have to order them online and pay for shipping.

I just moved to Texas from out of state. Went in the store to buy a Rifle. The people running the store acted like they did not want to sell me the rifle right off the bat. When I showed the man my DL he refused to sell me the rifle. Not a hand gun, but a rifle. I was cool with the whole Texas law thing, till went to a different store to browse. I was told a completely different story about the gun law, bought the same rifle from somewhere else. I really gave them the benefit of the doubt till they pulled that crap. Will not be returning!!!

Passed by a thousand times b4 I knew it was there. I found all the ammo that I was looking for including some hard to find 22short and some tokarev rounds. Great selection of ammo, prices were a few pennies more on some and a few pennies less on others (normal). The old man was most helpful and even GAVE some merchandise away. There were three employees there when I went and all three at different times offered to help me, most helpful. I noticed the gun selection was awesome both used and new guns. We all need to support small businesses. I woud definitely return and reccomend this place.
