Just had a flywheel resurfaced there. The guy did it in about 15 minutes while i waited and that was nice but he charged me 60 bucks. Price seems a little high for the work done. I went here because it was convenient. I would shop around more thoroughly in the future though.

Only gave one star because I had to give at least one. If I couldve given -5 stars I wouldve. The owner of this business is not a man of his word. He doesnt deliver what he says he will deliver and ignores phone calls and takes advantage of people. Suggest that you take your business else where.

Archie removed and replaced a sheared off bolt from my treadmills motor casing. The small replacement bolt had to be exactly the right length; otherwise, it would have interfered with the moving parts inside the closed motor casing. I was impressed by his expertise in removing the sheared bolt without it falling into the casing. Ive been using the treadmill regularly for about another 3 years from the time he fixed it. He explained everything to me, was quick to repair it, and charged me a fair price. Having to do the same repair again, but I honestly didnt expect it to hold up as long as it has so am so grateful. Im hoping he is able to salvage it again.

Turn around time is terribly unreliable and pricing is vague at best. If you are looking for a definitive cost or finish date for anything more complex than a basic flywheel grind, this is not the place. They will do the work when ever they get around to it and in my experience the quality of work was questionable. Had my engine work done here and it burned oil from day one. Had it redone a couple years later (at full expense to me) and it STILL burned oil. I took the heads back in and after more expense and 2 weeks of runaround and lip service I decided to find another machine shop. If you are looking for a clean, organized shop with good customer service dont go here

I only wish we had read the review below before dropping off our work here DO NOT USE THIS SHOP. We are beyond pissed and we want our money back but we can’t get him to answer the phone. Archie built a new engine for my husband in a matter of a week. Sounds too good to be true right? Well it was. Upon my husband installing the new engine he discovered a pretty rapid oil leak that he could not find the origin of. After calling Archie to discuss, Archie offered to take care of it. We dropped the truck off and we we’re able to pick it up two days later. Once again, very fast to fix such a rapid oil leak. This time upon driving home we discovered the oil leak was even bigger. About the size of a thanksgiving platter upon stopping. My husband called Archie and Told him he wasn’t even comfortable driving the truck back to his shop with how fast it was dropping oil and the strong oil burning smell. No one wants to burn up a brand new engine. Archie offered to send a wrecker to our home which is over 45 minutes away to pickup the truck. He even said he would rent a trailer and come get it himself if he had to. Once again this all sounded a little too good to be true but we went along with it. He said he would call my husband the following day with details for pickup. Mind you this is my husbands daily driver so time was of the essence. The following day my husband called Archie 5 times with no response. Giving Archie the benefit of the doubt he waited until the next day which was a Tuesday to call him 5 more times with yet again no response. My husband finally decided to take the truck to another shop near us that offered to do a free diagnosis. This is where we get pissed. We are informed that the new engine has not 1 but 4 oil leaks due to incorrect equipment and installation on Archie’s part. The first oil leak was coming from the rear main seal that was not properly pressure tested, the second leak was from the oil pressure sending unit that Archie said he replaced but clearly didn’t as it was cracked and I can’t remember the other two off the top of my head but I have them on a paper somewhere. These leaks were in addition to Archie putting the incorrect intake manifold gasket on the engine. $1200 later and four more days without my husbands truck but we now have no oil leak and it runs like a champ. Mind you this is on top of paying Archie $3500 to do the build that he clearly was not qualified to do. We are not stupid people. My husband is an ex-infield diesel mechanic for the army and a current auto body repair man so we know a thing or two about cars. Archie new everything to say in order to make us believe that he was qualified to do this engine build so either he didn’t really have the 20+ years of experience he said he did or he didn’t intend upon delivering a functional build to his customer. Either way it is dispicable to take someone’s money and not deliver the work that you promised. We will never got back to this shop and we will be reporting him to the BBB as well as spreading the word on his terrible business manners. DO NOT TAKE YOUR MACHINE WORK HERE!!!!!

As other reviews stated the shop is at best described as chaotic. The shop rebuilt my Chevy 454 over a year ago. It took 3 months to complete, they installed the wrong balancer on the flywheel and did the worst job adjusting the valves I have ever seen. This engine is externally balanced so this part is critical. I tried to get them to install the correct balancer but they never could get the right part and consistently blamed their supplier. I ended up purchasing the correct balancer which took all of 30 minutes and returned the incorrect balancer. I filled out all the required paperwork for a refund in front of the owner and was told I would get the refund in a couple of weeks which made no sense. Its been over 9 months and nothing from the owner and never a return call. I have called at least 50 times but no response. This was 100% their fault and they wont correct the issue. They lie to your face and never deliver. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! I AM TURNING THEM INTO THE BBB.
