Ive been here almost 3 times since I first found the place a week ago. I LOVE THIS PLACE. Its SO organized and the quality of the items is top notch. People clearly love this place. When I was there last, a group of ladies came in and made a big scene. Why? Because whenever they drive up to Dallas they always visit this store because its so good. They were so happy to arrive at the store and chatted with all the employees who knew them by name!My mom told me this was her new favorite store within 10 minutes of browsing the racks. She purchased 3 designer items for ~$60 and was stoked. She wants to go on a weekly basis. To top it off, the staff is so lovely! The energy in the store is so warm and welcoming. If I could give them more stars, I would! Of the 3 times Ive been here, Ive made purchases 2 times. One of these items was a dress that I wore the same day and I got about 20 compliments.Basically, you will not regret coming here!
Friendly. Customer focused. Clean. Organized. Very fair pricing received for clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories. I was very impressed selling here.
I rarely shop anywhere else. My husband gets me gift cards to Closet Revival for every occasion because I love it so much. It is a a hidden treasure . Beautiful designer clothes for such great prices. I also bring my clothes every time I clean out my closet and that adds to my pot of gold. The ladies are so nice and helpful and they truly tell you what looks good on you and what doesn’t. This store makes me feel like I’m shopping with my best friends. Check it out to both buy and consign. You won’t be sorry. ❤️
I took closet revival 12 pairs of womens designer shoes the lady Suki was only wanting to pay me $140 for all 12 designer shoes I asked her for more money and begged her for more money than that she refused she had every excuse in the book not to give me more money two days later I decided to go back and check the price that she had marked up on the shoes. basically each pair of shoes comes after 11 dollars and 40 cents is what I sold them for I went back two days later to check and see what she had the shoes marked up at and they were marked up at $150 for one pair of shoes this lady is a scam shes a cheat shes a liar she will lowball you on all your stuff and then over price it warning sellers beware do not do business with this company theyre rude and if I could give them zero Stars I would also seller beware of the sister company protocol the mens version theyre just as bad. Its just bad business and real sketchy.
Tips if you’re coming to sell:Dress nicely, the owner isn’t keen on buying from younger folk. If you have been to Highland Park, how the older women dress there is what this place sells. Have tags on the clothing. Be prepared to under sell your designer bags (you will have better luck selling on eBay, Poshmark or Keeks in Plano). They do not buy on SUNDAYS.
Suki and team are great. Always enjoy finding great stuff here and its a great option to sell your unwanted high end clothes.
They have an amazing assortment of high quality clothes in pristine condition, at good prices. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
This is one of the best resale shops I have ever been to. The staff is super helpful and professional. They help you shop and carry your items to the fitting rooms. They are so friendly. The prices are great for the items you are purchasing. They have some really nice high end pieces as well.
Customers should not be forced to donate items that you do not purchase from them. Hence, the items belong to the customer and they should decide what they would like to do with them. A) How does the customer know that you wont resell their donated items? B) How does the customer know that you are not claiming a tax deduction on their donated items? Customers should not be forced to do anything. We like options. Your business needs to be more transparent so that the customer feels like you are honest. You should rethink your policy. Policies should be made in the best interest of your customer, not your business. You should not use Covid as an excuse not to give your customer their un-purchased items back. The other resale shops are not doing this.
I brought in a few items to Closet Revival and was told that upon dropping the clothing off I was signing over my right to donating the clothing if they did not want it. Please note, I had 4 items- all designer with tags. This allows them to “not” buy your products and still get to keep and resell them. As someone who has worked in the fashion industry for many years this is EXTREMELY shady. I never leave reviews but I could not believe what I was hearing
Went in to sell a Michael Kors pale pink purse and wallet. Brand new. Lady who waited on me accused me of buying it from them, using it and trying to resell it there. They had all original tags and I had my original receipt from the MK store (couldnt return due to the season change). Very poor customer service and they like to racial profile people there even though I live right down the street and have lived on the west side all my life. Go to a different consignment store for better prices and better customer service. And yes I went to closet revival before you start saying I didn’t. If it is on the corner of Parker and midway then yes I did. You have no record of me because the minute that you accused me of trying to resell the purse back, I walked out. No one asked me for my name or any contact information.
Loved this place. The ladies are so welcoming and so attentive. This place felt like a boutique, the quality, and selection is amazing. I was expecting to see super high prices, but not at all, the prices were fair. I ended up getting a beautiful purse and some awesome jeans.
Great prices, styles, and selection. The new owner Suki is wonderful and even has an area for children to color. She loves kids so much that she even puts the drawings on the wall. Thank you for buying my previoua garments so I could select new ones. Tiffany helped me too. Thanks, Jennifer S.
Attempted to sell several name brand purses. I understand that you will typically receive 1/3 of the amount they will resell it for. I was offered $50 for a brand new Tory Burch bag they confirmed is seeking for $398. It’s in season. I won’t be back.
I love this place!! Customer service is top notch, higher quality clothing for a great resale price. Like I told Cheryl today they are my go to when I need something really nice.
I will definitely not be back here again.Messaged on Facebook beforehand to ask if they would buy a pair of Ugg boots- drove all the way up here after they told us yes. Then I was told they were not accepting anything. Not only that, but the only thing they offered me was to take the items, they would begin selling what they want and donate the items they did not, and call me back for the money another time. I couldn’t wait in the store to see how much money I would get due to “store capacity reasons”, even though there were other people inside shopping. No way would I leave my items there for them to sell or get rid of without knowing what my offer is.
Visited Closet Revival today. First time visit for me and a friend. Cute selections, array of sizes and styles. Cheryl was so sweet and fun! The rest of the crew was nice, too. Found 3 blouses, and my shopping buddy found a pair of boots.
Ive been doing business with Closet Revival for about 4 years now, both as a customer and consignor. Yes, their styles ebb and flow as does their intake tastes, but that doesnt stop me from stopping in to see what fun things they have. I always feel welcome even if I end up just browsing. But last week I was excited to learn that long-time sales associate Suki is the new owner! Im so happy for her! I always get great service at this store, and it amazes me that most of their staff has been there for YEARS. The fact that this store keeps their employees is a real testament to any business, especially retail.
Pretty nice but some were pricey. Great selection of shoes.
Went there for the first time this week. Was totally impressed with their merchandise. Prices seemed reasonable for a re-sale shop. Sales ladies were attentive but did not hover. Was impressed. I have not taken anything in to sell and if I do, will update my review if necessary.
Love this place! Everyone is so friendly and helpful! Ive referred so many people and they all say the same positive things. Great selection, great prices; you can really find some gems! If you love wearing name brands but dont want to spend a ton, this is your place. The owner makes sure the clothes are in good condition, high quality. I would suggest getting on their email list to stay up-to-date on sales.
I like shopping here. They have good finds.
I always find exactly what I need here. Staff is helpful and friendly. Merchandise is always great quality and priced well. Check them out!
In my experience it has been a bit of a waste of time selling with this place. I have done several trips to sell there in the past, and they dont offer nearly as much as other places I have sold to. Worst of all it takes multiple people and several days to tell you this information...resulting in more trips to pick up your items. Ill stick to easier online buying and selling from now on because who has the time?
Omg.. what a wonderful place. They were all soo nice and helpful. They even have a place for the kids while you shop.. wow.. I will definitely come back!
The service is spotting. Prices are high. But buying offers are low. I sold them a Long Champ last year for $50 and the immediately turned around and sold it for triple the price. They are very rigid and not very business savvy. I went in to buy a high end purse they have had in the store at least 9 months. Price has been dropped $75 dollars in all of this time.I researched the value of the purse and they have it priceed high. I was willing to buy the purse on the spot if the worked in the price. The answer was pretty immediately no. No wonder it hasnt been sold. It will only loose value the longer they have it on their shelf. What they didnt take into consideration is the loss of business they will have if I dont buy and sell there because of their unwillingness to be flexible.Overall would not recommend buying or selling at this store.
Want to shop at an amazing store, this is the one. Beautiful clothes. superb staff.. You will return over and over!!!1
Im a huge fan of this store. I tell all my friends about the great prices and the awesome staff. They are helpful without being pushy. Ive also sold my things there from time to time. In reading some of the other reviews it sounds as if they were not happy with how much they were offered for their things. I shop resale all the time and what i have taken away from it is, that they might not give you what you think you should receive for your nice things, but they also dont jack the prices up on the things that they sale. After all they do have the overhead of the store and the staff. I have found with other resale stores that they do just that! So with that being said, if you love to find great things( I love purses) for less, this is the place for you and all your friends. Happy shopping.
I LOVE this place and the ladies who workhere are so very kind and helpful. I miss it so much since moving, but still recommend it to my friends in the area. Am hoping to stop by when Im over there, because its my favorite consignment shop. Ive sold a few things as well, but am honestly glad they are picky, because it reflects the quality they carry. They also send email specials and set aside certain events which include drinks and finger foods. Give this place a try!
Like someone else stated, I too was an advocate for this place when I first started shopping there. I even brought in a few items previously and was very happy with the money that I got for them. HOWEVER, lately this place leaves a lot to be desired. First of all, be prepared to spend a lot of time digging through the racks because the styles that they take in are completely random. Also, the level of service that you get seems to depend on whether or not the owner is there. If shes not then youll know it because the employees will be behind the counter calling dibs on clothing that someone just brought in instead of trying to find you an open dressing room or helping you get a purse off of the shelf. Apparently they shop while they work. Can you say unprofessional? And yes they get first pick of the good stuff so shopping there can be kind of like an Easter egg hunt trying to find something cool that they might have missed (or couldnt afford). And just FYI, if youre thinking about selling some items to them be very careful with higher end items and find out exactly how much they are offering you for them in particular. I bought a designer purse there a few months ago for $150 and they unknowingly offered me $20 for it when I brought it in with some other things that I didnt want anymore. Also, some things that they refused were items I had gotten from them less than a month before. Not cool. You are better off selling your high end stuff on Ebay. I will definitely not be going back here or recommending them to my friends anymore.
I am finally posting this review after an extreme love hate relationship with this store. The owner is extremely rude and absolutely hates children. A year ago, she made my daughter cry while we were in the store and I swore I would not go back. I did go back about 90 days later because it is a convenient location, but I did not take my daughter. The rest of the staff is nice and friendly, but the owner is awful. Ive watched how she interacts with others, and I am not alone. Shes rude to everyone - especially those brining in items to sell. Today, I noticed that the inventory is not moving very quickly, so I believe her rudeness is finally catching up with her. I finally decided today, I will not go back. There are too many other places to shop that value their customers, and have better selection of high end work and casual items.
Found some good buys. The sweetest ladies work there and are very helpful!
This Store is one of a kind and hands down one of the best resale shops Ive ever been too! If you havent been you must go and check it out!
They did not buy anything That I brought in due to imperfections, however, everything that I had planned on purchasing was over priced and noticeably damaged. This is the 3rd time and is the charm. I will never go back, nor recommend this place.
They always make you feel special. They take time and help
I went shopping with my daughter on a Saturday and we were about to pay but my daughter was quickly trying out some flip flops and then the manager told us this Were closing so you need to check out right now. She said it in a rude and demanding tone, it was only two minutes after the closed time. I felt offended and I just gave her my clothing and left.
Nice shop to browse in (it’s usually hit or miss) but don’t bother selling your clothes here. I came in with a large bag of clothes which included 4 items that I purchased from them recently (and only wore once) and they only took one item. I honestly have no idea how they choose what to buy since most of my stuff was way nicer than what was on the racks that day. What they did take? A nearly new pair of AG skinny jeans that I had recently paid $140 for. They offered me just $5 (and they sell that brand of jeans there for $40-$50). I told them no thank you and sold them on EBay for $52. Don’t waste your time like I did.
The employees were rude the first time I went here and only bought 2 items of mine but my mistake was giving them a second chance. The second time I tried to sell clothes the lady said all of my clothes were in horrible condition and scoffed at me! I was extremely surprised because I had barely worn any of the clothes. Then I noticed she didnt even look through my bins because the clothes hadnt moved at all. I asked her if she had even looked at both buckets and she rolled her eyes and walked away! I couldnt believe it!! How do they expect to stay in business if they treat their customers like that? I dont even understand why she acted that way. I was going to purchase 3 tops but after how I was treated I will never give this place my money. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.
I have shopped there since 2013 and I use to get really good deals and fine quality of clothing. However the past couple of years the quality and styles of the clothes have changed and noticed alot of the blouses were very worn . I brought in some Seven jeans to resale and they declined . The final draw was a coach purse i bought there 2 years ago and never used because I bought it for my daughter and she didnt like it so I wanted to sell it back and they wouldnt take it either because she said the inside was not perfectly clean . When I told her I bought it there like that she asked me when ??? Told her and she said Sorry .. Basically tying to make me feel like a liar..Ive tried several times to unload good Ann Taylor clothes and they declined ! Never again.. Clothes are overpriced for a resale shop ..
Very friendly, well organized and lovely items.
I would not recommend selling any items to this place. They are misleading about the way things are setup. My first encounter with the associates that work there were pleasant however they do not offer a fair price for items. $3 for a new jacket and resale is about $25?????? Thats not even %20 given for what you are selling it for. #mysteryshopper
Took a wide selection of up to date clothing in great condition (Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, Hilfiger, Lane Bryant etc.) They bought nothing. I have my thoughts as to why ....Will not be returning!
Not even worth the trip. The designer bag section is about 20 bags. They are all old models and are over priced. I walked right to the counter and the lady standing behind didnt bother to acknowledge I was there. Plenty other consignment stores around with better merchandise than this.
Way overpriced but have some nice stuff. Come there with your wallet.
Clean, well organized store. Very attentive and kind staff.
Far and Away the BEST ladies consignment shop in DFW!!! Ive been to ALL of them, really... the staff is excellent - as helpful as with any retail shop in town. The selection is fabulous, the prices are great, there is just nothing negative to say about this experience. They pay cash on the spot for your items or credit to shop (better!) I love Closet Revival!A loyal patron - DeeDee
I was a real advocate for this place when it first opened. I took bought great clothes and even sold clothes every season - from the time they opened up until about 4 months ago. It WAS a great exchange, and the owner would be there buying clothes and would totally be your advocate. She runs a tight ship - but the quality of the clothes were great.Im not sure what exactly happened. It couldve been the RUDE red-haired girl who refused to buy anything I brought in. They were nice BRAND named (Ann Taylor) dresses and she said that the owner was going in a different direction. She rejected all four dresses. (I took them to another resale shop and they scooped them right up!)A second time I tried to sell many pieces shirts, skirts, shoes - all in great condition - and again, that wasnt the direction they were going. Hmm. Really - one of the shirts I had tried to sell I purchased a few months before. Funny.I wont be back. I think the women who work here think they MADE the clothes given their attitude. Its a shame. I would talk about this place all the time and encourage friends and family to shop here. Now - notsomuch.
The staff is very nice and they wer helpful and friendly. I didnt really find anything that was worth buying there...I read on the site that they only buy items that are no more than 2 years old, but a lot of the styles of the clothing were older than that. The prices overall were not too terrible, some were too expensive for what it was, others pretty good priced. They dont have a huge selection of designer appareal (which is the reason why I went) so that was disappointing, and the styles were old. I ended up leaving empty handed, probably will return some other time.
I love shopping here! Nice clothes at good prices. Friendly staff.
Very nice ladies. I found some really nice stuff.
I just recently got into thrifting and resale stores after I donated a bunch of my goods the other day. I chose this store since it is 5 minutes from my house. Super rude employees. Dont understand their problem as they work in a resale store and not Neiman Marcus. One of them greeted me and was pretty nice but this lady behind the counter gave a snarky remark when I asked her where shoes in my size were located. Seriously, thats it. It left a bad taste in my mouth and though I was probably going to purchase some shoes, I quickly put them back and left. Now that I think about it, thats probably why I was the only customer in the store on a day and time most shops are busy.Just because you have a few LV bags that arent even being sold in a real LV store anymore doesnt mean youre better than anyone. Will be going to other shops with my brand new LV bag she has to save up 10 paychecks to even THINK about affording.Believe me, I hate leaving reviews however, they truly deserve it. Wont be coming back.
Great staff, well priced goods. Makes for a fun shopping experience.
Bought a blazer and dress for my nieces graduation for less than $50. Not amazingly cheap, but fair for the quality.
The best and most up to date place, everything is good condition and trendy. The bonus for me is the CHICOS section.
Very nice and helpful people very organized and neat great finds and buys
Fun shop with great staff and quality resale.
Do not sell your clothes here the lady was extremely rude and all I asked her was what brands did they take and which ones did they not. She yelled at me so loud it was embarrassing as if what I had didnt matter. She treated me like trash. No company should treat their customers rude no matter what. Especially if they coming to you for business trying to benefit your company.
Great selection of gently used clothing and apparel, fair prices.
I was not impressed with this place at all. Lots of outdated overpriced clothes ($60 for used Ugg boots?). Dont expect to come in here and find a deal.
Nice ladies resale with knowledgeable staff.
Love it! Friendly staff and great prices on designer clothes. I shop there regularly now.
Based on my visit I wouldnt recommend selling anything of value to them. I had recently moved and without too much thought took in a bunch of high end designer handbags. As an example, Gucci, Vuitton, Mulberry, Burberry, Kate Spade, Chanel, Dolce Gabbana, Christian Lacroix, Christian Dior, Fendi, Marc Jacobs and the like. The owner was working and went through my items. It took a very long time. She had no idea of individual value and spent hours looking up values for the bags on the internet. When she was done she had selected a total of 8 of the bags and two clothing items. She made me an offer of $220.00. I was shocked. Some of the bags were insignificant to me but included in the group was a Marc Jacobs that cost over 2K, after I pulled it from the group the offer was reduced to $173.00. She claimed that she had arrived at her offer price by giving me a third of what she was pricing each bag for. That meant to me that ladies were going to get some GREAT bags at a STEAL....NOT!!! I went in a couple weeks later, she had priced one of the bags at $189.00! I felt robbed! She had lied to my face. She had in NO way offered me a third of what she was pricing the items for. She low balled me and then INCREASED the prices by far more than what she told me when she reviewed her offer to me. I wouldnt recommend them all. It was pure and simple unethical. Im not sure how she sleeps at night.
Awesome selection and service!
The best of everything, merchandise, staff, fun environment, prices, my most favorite place to shop. If you havent been there, get there!
Always a great experience
Helpful and friendly team!!
I have sold here a few times and sometimes they take my stuff and sometimes they dont - usually only get paid a bit more than garage sale prices but felt that they were no longer cluttering up my closet.
I love it
