Awesome customer service. Really good prices on gear too. I found some stuff to be cheaper than online sellers including Amazon. They have a great pool for training, and their rental gear is too notch. I went on a trip one of the owners was on also, and he was AWESOME!!! Always encouraging me and my wife to have fun, help us be better divers, and making sure the group all knew if there was something cool to see. All around good people.

Very clean dive shop. Offers a great variety of dive equipment / gear / accessories.I 💯 RECOMMEND GETTING YOUR CERTIFICATION HERE! They have a pool ONSITE and it is spacious, kept warm, and deep!!!! The staff are super accommodating and once you are a certified customer; you can even make an appointment to get some pool time (my spouse and I did this before a dive trip as it was a year since we were certified) Scott is very knowledgeable, and friendly! This dive shop also hosts dive trips for when you are ready to get your feet wet. (Literally) ☺️For the non divers you can get your mermaid certification HERE! - I actually am a Scuba Adventures Mermaid graduate!!! Or you can easily shop for the scuba enthusiast in your life. You can never have too much gear!!!Overall great experience with Scott and Scuba Adventures and I will be returning to purchase an underwater apparatus for my phone to take pictures under water. ☺️

This is definitely not your typical Scuba store. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they know their Scuba gear. They sell only the coolest brands and they can recommend you the best scuba trips. I did my confined water certification in their pool, they were so helpful! I will definitely continue to buy my gear there.

Scuba Adventures is a fantastic business. Last month, my girlfriend and I signed up to get open water certified in preparation for an upcoming vacation. The open water certification involved two days of pool work and two days of diving at the Scuba Ranch lake. After our first day of pool work, my girlfriend experienced vertigo while ascending and we thought we’d have to ditch our plan to get certified. However, Scuba Adventures was incredibly accommodating and invited us back for both an extra class the following weekend and a private lesson after we still had issues. The instructors were all professional and knowledgeable and gave us a lot of advice both about diving and the vertigo issue. When we finished the pool work, we had a great time finishing up at the lake. Special thanks to Zach, who Scuba Adventures arranged as a private guide for us in the lake. Thank you to Brent and everyone at Scuba Adventures!

My two sons (11 yr and 13 yr) are certified with Scuba Adventure. They had a wonderful time both in classroom and in water. Instructor Rusty is very nice, patient and knowledgeable. Besides diving skills, he also taught them about how to be a good diver to protect the environment, which I believe all divers should learn. Other dive guides are also very friendly and patient. We appreciate it.

This is one of our favorite places to go in Plano Texas. The water is warm and clear. the pool is 18 feet deep and as far as I can tell the deepest pool in the area. The people there are friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. We have been going there for 4 years and we love it! We have several videos on YouTube of that place. Great shop! I highly recommend Ken Barkhuff as an instructor. I had some major anxiety about scuba diving, but after a one-on-one session with Ken, I am confident and ready. Kens approach to scuba diving is empowering. He taught me the tools to feel confident and was understanding and kind. This guy has worked with all levels of divers and is constantly gaining new certifications to keep up with the industry. For up-to-date scuba instruction that works, use Ken.

Been looking forward to getting certified in scuba diving. I was recommended to come here and sure enough all my questions were answered and now I am scheduled to get certified. They also mentioned that the do group trips to go dive in the tropical water of exotic places. Looking forward to getting certified and taking trips to explore the blue world. Never thought about being a merman but may do that as well.

We went to multiple other shops in the area trying to find certification classes that worked with our schedule before finding Scuba Adventures. Little did we know we would find our scuba home.First time we walked in Autumn was so informative and easy going. Right away we could tell the atmosphere and culture was different in a good way. She was able to find my husband a time to do his refresher, and me to get my open water certification. Later on she also set up mermaid and scuba discovery class for our kids. Our schedule is a little busy so having flexibility in scheduling was just what we needed.I did my pool work with Rusty as my instructor. He was awesome. Spent extra time with me to make sure I had my skills down and performed them safely before going to the lake. Even when I got frustrated with myself he kept his cool and was extremely patient with me. Both my husband and myself loved how fun the washer game was.At the lake Ken was my instructor. Again another awesome instructor. The quality of instruction was the same across the board with all the instructors. Ken made it fun and relaxing while making it a safe dive for everyone everytime. Left feeling super confident and ready for some 80/80 dives. The dive masters were awesome too and willing to answer any questions.Our girls loved mermaid discovery class. Even when dad joined in to try and tried to embarrass them. You turned my fish into mermaids.Looking forward to more classes and many, many, many, many more dives with Scuba Adventures. Our familys scuba home.

My wife and I purchased snorkeling gear for an upcoming trip and were very pleased with the service, knowledge, and selection. We asked about Open water scuba classes just to get a price and soon after decided to sign up. The classes were on a weekend and very organized. The facility is clean and well organized for teaching. We both enjoyed the class and both our instructor and dive master were outstanding and very knowledgeable.

Good quality equipment and help! I did an advanced course through this shop and they were very flexible with my schedule and helped me organize the dives I needed to be certified. The courses were very thorough and I feel much more confident with my diving ability

The staff that was part of my certification team was beyond patient, knowledgeable and most importantly took the time with each student to make sure we were comfortable with the skills we had covered! Ken Barkuff was the instructor I was fortunate enough to have along with Dive Masters John Worthen, and Paul Richmond! These 3 men will help you succeed, they will have faith in you that you do not have in yourself! They listened intently to all my concerns and talked me through ALL of my fears and doubt I had in myself, they would not allow me to fail! If I failed I bet it would have hurt them just as bad as myself! I felt part of this dive family from the first time I walked in the door! In my opinion Scuba Adventures, in Plano TX is much more than just a dive shop! We signed up for our Open Water training through Scuba Adventures. We were there on 07/22/2020 to buy our initial gear (which they have an awesome selection to choose from) for the training. Mike (store manager) was extremely helpful, as was Autumn. The level of customer service, knowledge and friendliness is second to none. I definitely understand and can attest to why this shop has such a high rating.If youre on the fence about scuba, you can do the Discover Scuba that they offer, as we did. Rusty, one of their experienced instructors, showed us the ins and outs of scuba and we got to dive in their 18 foot deep, indoor, heated, swimming pool! (yep, the pool is awesome!).Ive also chatted with Scott, one of the store owners. He was very responsive, engaging and helpful.We cant wait to get certified and to call Scuba Adventures our new dive home!!!

Was looking for carbon fiber tanks as they are lighter than regular scuba tanks. The plan was to get my own air supply. I realize this is heading in the direction of my own private HAZMAT suit. Sadly they didnt have any.

I love the Scuba Adventures. Adam and Mike are amazing. I was super happy with every single experience I had from when they helped me purchase my mask/fins/snorkel at the store to getting my open water certification.They do great deals and theyre really consultative and helpful and friendly at the store. Adam was my instructor for the open water courses, and he did a great job teaching and making sure we had everything down. Also, Scott was an awesome co-instructor/backup dive buddy for me when we were learning the skills. I felt TOTALLY prepared to go out as a new diver, set my gear up, be a safe diver, etc. on my first group boat dive in Austin! They really know diving, and they are fantastic at what they do.Id recommend any of my friends or family to go here for a great experience and great value!

Took my deep diving with Instructor Filas and the process was easy and simple from start to finish! The staff were great, instructor was awesome and super safe. What an awesome staff. From Mike and Autumn in the showroom, Richard in the service department and all the Instructors and divemasters. Great facility and vast selection of gear options. The knowledge and professionalism is second to none in the metroplex. From basic open water certification and all the continuing education courses offered, you cant do any better than Scuba Adventures.

I can’t recommend this place enough. After moving to the area, I read a lot of reviews and emailed several dive shops before going with Scuba Adventures. I choose them because they were the most responsive and helpful. The owners seem to not only be great divers but have business backgrounds. This is the most focus on customer service I have seen in a dive shop. Good inventory with all of the brands I could ask for. On point with their pricing. If you do find a better price they will work with you.I ended up taking the Rescue Diver course and had a blast! I just got back from a dive trip with them at Lake Travis, very enjoyable. They also have one of the only indoor pools (18 ft.) in the area.At Scuba ranch they have a big spot that is one of the easiest to get to and a nice pavilion for training. They are right next to the air refill station, which I love! Family and friends are welcome at the ranch. Good community there on weekends and youll most likely find a dive buddy for a fun dive.

Scuba Adventures and their staff are beyond amazing! Their Plano store has a very wide selection of equipment and the pool is 18ft deep! Their Scuba Ranch location is amazing and still growing, with plenty of room and seating. I’m a fairly new diver and all the instructors do an amazing job of making me feel safe and secure deep underwater. Their staff is always very helpful and I can’t wait to continue my diving knowledge and certificates with them.

We have taken the Discover Scuba class and Mike was very helpful and patient with us. My 12 year old daughter was able to scuba and goto the bottom of the pool. My husband is getting more comfortable with it and we all three are going to take the certification course in the near future. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They can help you find the gear that fits you the best. Brent even remembered all of our names from only coming in the store once. Highly recommend this dive shop for all your needs.

The Best Scuba shop in North Dallas by far! Scuba Adventures Plano has their own on-site 18 training pool too. They are a 5-Star SDI/TDI facility (better than PADI in my humble opinion). They are a Halcyon dealer for us DIR divers and they have a good inventory of high-end gear.

One of the shop owners helped me out and he was very friendly and helpful. Also gave me a tour of their awesome facility! One of the best dive pools I’ve seen and with 18ft depth. Honestly, I don’t post may reviews but this place deserves one. Staff was super nice and helpful. Not pushy at all. I am an avid diver and finding a place that reliably plans interesting dive trips has been difficult but this place has an awesome list of locations on the schedule. I’ve booked my own dive trips many times but take my advice, go talk to the team here and let them take care of the planning. Highly recommended

My sons and I took the open water and nitrox scuba class at Scuba Adventures Plano last weekend. It was fantastic. Brent and Tom were excellent instructors. They were patient and professional. Also, their in- store equipment prices are the same or better than Amazon. Since March Madness and professional sports are cancelled, now would be a good time to learn how to dive.

Although brief, I have had a wonderful experience with Adventure Scuba. Their staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and more than accommodating. The pool is perfect to practice and work with your gear and we love the store! Highly recommend!

I have been going here for my hydro inspection and recently had a hick-up in the process. I dropped my tanks off in Feb at the Open House day. Got my receipt and then forgot about them, a month later I called and the shop said that they could not find my tanks but I could get a couple of rental tanks till they found them. Well the tanks could not be located but the owner Brent said he would replace them with a pair of new Catalina tanks in any color I choose. So all ended well thanks to a outstanding scuba shop. They have my loyalty and thanks.

This is such a great place with owners and instructors who are passionate about what they do. My family and I had the opportunity to attend their End of Summer event at Scuba Ranch and we had a blast! Besides great prizes, food, and lots of fun, we got the chance to try out some equipment. Scott did an excellent job coordinating the event and we were so appreciative of the efforts made to provide masks, hand sanitizer, and emphasis on social distance (all while having fun, of course). I cant wait to connect with this group again!

In January 2020, Scuba Adventures was purchased by divers that were affiliated with a different scuba store. These same divers taught me to dive, and got me to fall in love with scuba diving (despite me being pretty scared to start). I trust them, enough that I opted to take a trip with them to Cozumel for diving in 2019. It was one of the best trips of my life, and now Im already signed up for their Costa Rica dive trip in 2020 with Scuba Adventures. I havent visited the shop yet, but I can 100% vouch for the new owners--they are knowledgeable divers, good people, and all around amazing.

Decided to revisit this shop since it is under new management. Already impressed with the facility improvements - by far the best training pool I have seen. The new owners are the greatest! Their positive approach towards people and the sport of diving are huge part of the reason I love the sport. When they told me they were going to open a dive shop; I knew without a doubt I was going to be their customer. Helpful friendly staff, Best pool around, and some cool products in stock! This is your place to go for some top brands like Scuba Pro, Henderson and more. They also service all my personal equipment including tank inspections etc. It helps they are close to where I live and easy to get to, I can’t recommend them enough.

I have been a customer since I got certified there years back. It was always a great shop, but the new management is doing a hell of a job stepping their game up! Excellent staff, instructors, etc. I have other shops closer to home, and will gladly pass them to make the trip to Scuba Adventures!

Full disclosure: I am an instructor here.I have been very impressed with the changes made this year. The products and services run the gamut, and the team will help you find anything youre looking for. Tons of new class offerings, including a range of TDI (technical) courses.The shop is also putting together a variety of trips at reasonable prices.Many improvements have been made at the lake for checkout dives also, including a new dock, benches to simulate boat dives, and backplates & wings for students. Computer nitrox and the use of multi-gas computers are included with open water courses!A great team that cares about divers and keeps class sizes manageable. Youre a person here - not a number.
