This is the only Caribbean food worth grabbing in a 40 mile radius. Believe me I know.😌… Oxtails, rice & peas, Mac & cheese, cabbage, coco bread, & of course the patties are always my go to. The curry, or anything else I’ve ever tried here hasn’t failed me yet either. I’ve been a customer with this restaurant at least 10 years. The restaurant closed or moved out of the area for a couple of years after opening sometime in the 2000’s, but they came back to open in the same plaza & I’ve never been so grateful.😁Terrific staff, great food, island vibes. Friendly store with island ingredients and some Caribbean specialities. Chicken curry was fine enough with excellent Mac n cheese and decent rice. I’ll give it another try to see if is better the next time.

Everytime I go it’s ALWAYS for their oxtail dinner🥰🥰!! Their oxtails, rice and peas, and mac and cheese are the best around!!

They are not friendly over the phone, When you call to ask Question about their productsThey said they dont have any time for that You would have to come in the store How you going to tell your customer you dont have time to answer a question about their product

Im not one to do reviews but I have to say that this place is BAD VIBES ALL AROUND. If they want to continue the BAD VIBES business they should let customers jump on the register and ring themselves up because they are clearly NOT capable of doing their job right. This store is a bad example of Jamaican own biz. They are slow to service and RUDE as hell. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK.

So now you cant get a small plate of oxtail just the large plate and its $21. In case anyone want to know the price. Food is okay

Oooooh my god the food is delicious!! I knew where this restaurant was, but never made the trip until today, to actually try it. I’ve been to the Dominican Republic about 4-5 times and really just could taste vacation in every bite! It was so nice to have something different and fresh locally. The food was not overly seasoned and had such a pleasant aroma. Even when you walk into the store, it smells amazing! If you haven’t tried the food here yet, your totally missing out. I think they just earned a new regular customer!!!

Ox tails, rice & beans are the bomb. Many places give you a lot of sides and a little meat. This place gives you a lot of everything. I actually have ox tails left over, which never happens with me. Keep up the good work guys...

Okay the food is authentic, being valdosta is uncultural I usually get my jamaican cuisine from Orlando and south florida there are alot of cultural differences there for the plate I got today with four cuts of oxtails peas and rice cabbage 16 .00 the price is right for a large oxtail plate in florida my plates which runs $15 usually comes with fritters and plantains which makes todays plate a small untraditional overpriced plate so I gave 4💫
