My overall experience was great! They were very informative, whenever there were manufacture delays. They were super easy to work with appointments in regards to my availability, which is very limited. I was very concerned about the noise, but their installers were amazing. I knew when they started, but slept through the whole process. I would definitely used them again in the future if needs be, but theyre highly recommended by me.

I have never seen a team of workers work so well together. All of them were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They were spot on helping one another keeping the project flowing and not wasting time. Impact windows are extremely heavy, and to see how they were there for one another was amazing. They cleaned up after the job was finished. I am extremely pleased and will definitely give my recommendation. They also speak English.

I was expecting that for the amount of money I pay for windows and installation that their work would be practically perfect but they did an ok job. They need to work on their time management. Windows installed 2 weeks ago and still no inspection was done by the city.

I can’t speak highly enough about GM - Door, Window & Screen. We had gotten our doors and windows replaced with hurricane window and doors by GM. My mother in-law was so impressed with the work and how great our home looked she asked us to help get her home done. To save on her homeowners insurance she too needed to get her doors, windows and sliding glass doors replace with impact products. The job went smoothly...workers were on time, they kept the job site clean, worked quickly and hauled away the old windows and doors. The inspector from the City of Tamarac was very impressed with the installation work. She is thrilled with the results and the neighbors have commented on how beautiful her home looks. My husband is equally thrilled because he does not need to hang plywood every time a storm threatens. GM is family owned and operated, and that is the type of business I love to support.

We had been pricing windows for a few years and were recommended by a friend to GM Doors and Screens. We passed on the recommendation to our neighbor and we both had the hurricane windows installed at the same time, were so happy with the results and the service was fast, efficient and professional.

My friend was looking for kick plate and I was able to recommend this place to him because home depot didnt have it in stocks.

Manufacture delays. They will be in next week has been all I have heard for 3 months. The windows were order 5 months ago. I dont understand. Now Im told the windows are in, but they dont have everything so they cant schedule the install. To say I am frustrated is an understatement.Update. This has got to be the most incompetent team I have ever had the displeasure of hiring.Installation delayed 4 months! I’m officially at month 7. They tried to install the windows and doors and blamed the manufacture for building the door to swing into the house. The blamed the manufacture for not sending a complete front door.After another month delay on getting a side lite for the front door, I’m currently at a stand still. GM removed the front door of my house before verifying the had the correct material to install the new door. They do not. Now I’m faced with the inevitable position of not having s front door to my home for the next “7-10 business days”. Why? Because the side lites don’t match and they won’t install the door. For fear that to fix the issue when the correct piece comes in, they may have to replace the entire door.In what planet would I ever recommend anyone ever pay $33,000 for this type of incompetence???By the way. To make me feel better they said “you aren’t the only one in this situation. We have several clients dealing with the same manufacturer issues”.

Where to begin? It all started out fine, they seemed pretty professional snd reliable. They weren’t the cheapest quote that I received but they weren’t the most expensive. Don’t pay until the job is completely done, no matter what they say.I placed my order around July 4th 2020, I was told at the time that it would more than likely be completed by the end of September. I wasn’t in a major rush so it was fine. End of September came and nothing, end of October came and nothing. When I called they said due to COVID the manufacture is behind schedule. I’m a rational and understanding person so I stuck with it. They finally called to setup installation for the week before Thanksgiving, a little over 4 months from order placement.The installers came out, it initially appeared that they did a decent job installing even though there were random damages in a couple areas of my house but once again I’m understanding. They get to my bathroom and I realize the window they are installing is NOT the window I requested. I called right away and informed the office.Later they get to my other bathroom and I realize that window was also incorrect. The office said they would take care of it. 2-3 weeks later they came back out and replace one bathroom window correctly and they other one was broken. I also realized they ordered that one incorrectly also, I let the office know and they said they would fix it. From mid December until mid January I had to call them weekly to check up and each time the manager said she would call me back, I think she only called me back once! its been 2 months since the initial install, 6 and a half months since my order and the job isn’t completed correctly. Learn from my mistake and don’t pay until the job is done completely and correctly.Worse part is I referred someone to them before I realized all of this and they are getting windows from them to. I doubt I’ll get my gift card because they don’t appear to be customer centric and once they have their money, you can kick rocks for all they care.

Excellent company, price was a little higher than other quotes but well worth the extra cost. In spite of the COVID 19 crisis everything was done in a timely and safe manner. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the doors and windows. The installation was much faster than we expected and their attention to detail and cleanliness was exemplary. Their staff went out of their way to make sure that we knew what was happening every step of the way. Couldnt be happier.

Wonderful to work with and our windows look great. Installers were most polite, professional and helpful. They worked quickly and very carefully. They went the extra mile on more than one occasion. One caulking under a window sill was somewhat sloppy and we had to redo it. No big deal. Buy lots of plastic drop clothes and cover EVERYTHING. They brought their own, but we still had a lot of dust to clean up. The dust is unavoidable, so the best solution is to cover everything you dont want dust on. I would highly recommend GM and use them again.

We had been considering replacing our 1980s windows and hurricane shutters for some time especially every year when hurricane season was right around the corner again. Being a Realtor I knew impact windows and doors was one of the best investments a homeowner could make to improve their home and the return on the investment was very high.Fortunately I had the pleasure to work with with GM Windows and Doors several years ago when we replaced our front door with a high impact double french door. Both then and this past summer when we replaced every other opening with impact resistant sliding doors, french doors and/or sliding windows the people could not have been nicer.From start to finish GM was professional, on time and delivered a great product. Brad the General Manager was excellent and reviewed all the options before we went to contract. Their pricing was very competitive and fair as well. I loved working with Daniella,. She always took my phone calls and kept me informed with the updates. What was equally impressive is the installation crew that came in and did a very professional job over the two days it took to install our windows. The men were always polite and cleaned up after themselves each day. Daniella made it her business to inspect each opening to be certain it would pass the citys inspection requirements which it did without a hitch.This was by far one of the best investments we could make to our home. It was a much needed face lift to our 1980s residence. We couldnt be happier with our new windows and doors. Plus we have the peace of mind knowing that we are well protected this hurricane season and years to come. I would highly recommend GM Door Window & Screen.

GM Doors & Windows just completed the installation of my new impact windows and doors at my house in Plantation. I was tired of putting up shutters with every hurricane warning, so I arranged for a number of quotes to get them replaced. I am glad I went with GM. Brad the General Manager was very helpful walking me through the process. Best of all GM beat the competition on price. What was equally impressive was the follow up by the office staff. They would call regularly to keep me updated on the progress of my windows and doors during the manufacturing process and setting up the installation date. The crew that did the installation was very meticulous and you could tell they cared about the quality of their work. The inspector from the city commented he was very impressed with the installation work. Also, I am getting my house painted and the painter commented that GM did an excellent job sealing the windows using high qualtiy materials. The house looks so much better with the new windows and doors. Also, I know when it comes time to sell, I will get my money back on this investment. Plus, no more hanging hurricane shutters! Thanks GM for a great experience.

I didn’t get an opportunity to see what they could do for me or have them come give me a quote which is why I rated a 3 and not a 1, to be fair. But I strongly believe the sales team of a company is the face and heart of the company and if that experience doesnt go well, chances are everything else will be sour.As soon as they called me, the gentleman on the phone immediately came off as arrogant. I explained to him that we have issues with the energy efficiency of our current sliding doors. The unfortunate part is that I already added hurricane shutters which I now know was a mistake and I told him I’m aware of this mistake (I also told the scheduler all of this). Because of this I explained that what I wanted was insulated doors. Our home is from the 70s with the *original* sliders and anything would be better than what we had. He proceeded to repeat to me multiple times that we shouldn’t have done shutters (yes I know), that impact doors are better than insulated doors (yes I know), that manufacturers don’t even make insulated doors anymore (um ok) for the entire conversation. He sounded bothered that I would even dare to ask for a non-impact door quote. I ended up just telling him not to make the 30 min trip out since I felt like it would be a waste of his time, considering he very obviously didn’t want us as a customer. I sent him the door measurements and pictures to get a quote instead. Still waiting on the quote. I guess because we aren’t doing impact, we’re not a worthy enough customer for them. Which is unfortunate because I have 4 sliders to replace and would have preferred a local company to Lowe’s or Home Depot.

GM did a very good job at delivering on the final product we ordered. My wife and I believe this transformed our house. Workmanship and quality of product have been fantastic. Very happy with the install crew, they were happy and proceeded to remove all the old and started to get the new windows in. Looking at past reviews for GM it looked promising. I have to say that it was a breath of fresh air from the time I called them to make an appointment to the day of installation. The whole process was seamless, it did take a while longer to get delivery but the workmanship well worth it. Thank you again!

Since the arrival on the first meeting the rep was very direct and efficient, very clear on the explanation and on the estimate. We sign the purchase contract on the same day, great follow up and installation was very quick and no issues whatsoever. We live the windows and would recommend this company with 5 stars.

I’m super disappointed with this company, specially with the manager Monica, The job was to replace one pane from my window.They assured me that will be completed in 2 hours after they get the glass. After they informed me that the new replacement pane was broken I had to wait another week, with plywood on my front entrance.At the end I received a different color glass that does not match my window.If you need a profesional on time and accurate glass replacement service. I would not use them.

We had all the ancient awning windows in our house replaced with hurricane impact windows. We selected GM Door Window & Screen on a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. With the new windows we feel like we live in a new house. We have beautiful views with the old hurricane awnings gone. Its much cooler, quieter and we have much less dust. We can travel in the summer now with security and the peace of mind that comes with it.

It took a little longer then expected but worth the wait since bought a townhouse on a busy Street. Once installed they cut the traffic noise in half. I also feel much safer. I dont think a bullet can get through these windows. The installers were amazingly profestional and worked very very hard non stop I was very impressed with the great attitudes. My townhouse has 5 large slider glass windows and done in a day. Great team of guys GM has. Awesome folks there. a great place to get window parts from screens redone and also impact Windows they do a great job and they really care.

Unfortunately, our experience with this company was a bad one. The owner Brad Burgess, and contractor Daniella give this company a bad name. They both were unprofessional and lied repeatedly re: length the project would take, would not work with our schedule and medical issues, failed inspection twice before finally passing on the third time. And Id like to add that, not only was Brad unprofessional and unpleasant, he was abusive and a bully when we requested schedule considerations due to medical issues. And we offered to have them come on a Saturday and Daniella said they NEVER work on the weekends. However, after they failed the first inspection, suddenly they were available to work thru the following weekend so as to get the balance of their money.Finally, to be fair, their installers were amazing. They were clean, respectful, considerate, prompt and polite...... Quite the opposite of their employers. Interesting.So, suffice to say we would NOT recommend this company or ever use them again.

3 impact steel doors and hurricane panels for 1 window. Requested a 2 arch front door and no preference for the side and back doors total price of $4,700. Got standard 6 panel doors Jeld Wen brand that I could have purchased myself for around $300 each and used a carpenter for installation would have been less $$. My mistake as the contract only specified raised panel doors.Average install quality that was good enough to pass inspection. I had to finish filling / caulking in the interior door frames and caulk the door frame screw holes since I was informed by GM that they do not finish. The front door wood framing did have a small crack at the door latch that I had to patch.

This company does not even deserve 1 star! STAY AWAY!!!!!!September 01 2017 three of their employees installed an entry door, with rusty hinges, then replaced them with hinges that were too long weeks later. That problem alone took months to solve.The installer also managed to get rusty water from the old sliders on the carpet and damaged the verticals and GM would not pay for any of the repairs. Daniela and Monica said, read your contract.Our sliders are rubbing when you open them and Ive been trying for months to get them to come look at them. The screens for the sliders were altered so much by GM in order to fit, since they measured them incorrectly, they are no longer under warranty from the manufacturer.The screws on one side of the sliders were found not to be completely screwed in, which the manufacturer discovered. Neither the city inspector, nor GM noticed this, Also, we always have to contact them, they never kept/ keep us informed! Seven months later and paid in full five days after installation and still so many problems. BEWARE OF GM!!!!!

I compared prices to other options we had and GM Door Window & Screen was by far the best. They also had the best customer service and the overall process of dealing with them was fantastic. It could not have gone any better.

STAY AWAY5 months they took to finish a job in a building they have done work in before. Hurricane season was essentially over. Yet they had gotten paid a $4500.00 deposit in May.The Sales Manager Brad did not return calls and when he finally did after complaints to the owners, all we received was bullying and a nasty attitude. The owner Monica is only interested is her profit margins and not what is best for the customer.The installation was sloppy and the Workman dragged mud and dirt into the home with complete disregard of us.Read the recent reviews. It tells a story of a business that cares little about customer service, installation time and requirements and passing inspections.

I used GM to instal a set of impact windows on my house as well as a few doors. I was very satisfied with the work that they did and everyone I worked with in this company throughout the process were fantastic people.

Alleged manufacturer issue causing install delay but no communication from GM! I call and am told I am to be called back....no return calls.GM - IF there is in fact a manufacturer issue, communicate and manage the issue or provide a refund. It is horrible being your hostage!

Mr. Burgess was not the easiest person to deal with when he came to sell us the windows he was very personable and friendly but any contact after that I found him to be rude and condescending .....It took them 34 weeks to complete the job (7 windows) not a huge job...communication with Mr Burgess and the office staff was difficult...inspectors had to come 3 times before they passed the job because the first 2 times there was no one from GM here....the installers were good clean and all in all did a good job.....I spoke with The chairman of the board and the secretary in my community and they informed me that they are no longer welcome to do work in Whitehall wish I knew that before I signed up...oh and the final payment was due when the job was done but they charged my credit card without me knowing before it was finished...I could go on about my experience with GM and the aggravation but bottom line for me is just DO NOT USE THEM...👎🏻

I am extremely detail oriented. In other words, I want it perfect because thats how I would do it. This company has had a long reputation of doing good work and their price was about in the middle of other quotes, so I decided to use them to install some hurricane windows. They told me the process (i.e. HOA approval, permit, order windows, schedule install) and said this would take several weeks and they were right. They interacted directly with my HOA and the city to get the HOA approval and permit. During this waiting time, I inquired a few times on my job and most times they responded the same day. The installers showed up on the day they said and even at the time they said they would be there. This alone is quite remarkable. However, what happened over the next several hours is really why Im writing this review. First, the installers covered everything in the rooms they were working in. Then when they finished, they cleaned up those rooms. I didnt expect that. Then for me, the most remarkable thing was that the completed job was as perfect as I would have done it myself. They didnt tear up any walls (inside or outside) or break any window sills, and the caulking was absolutely perfect. I didnt even have to touch up any paint, which I thought I would have to do. I forgot to mention that these were 2nd story windows and they did the entire job from the inside. I couldnt believe it. Passed inspection the first time and the inspector even commented on how nice of a job they had done. I couldnt ask for anything more.
