They were very friendly and helpful! My bike needed a full checkup and some repairs and they were done in about a week and at a very reasonable cost. When I picked up my 10+ year old bike bike it looked like it was brand new. Great people and a great place to do business! Too bad this review only allows 5 stars, they earned 10 stars!

Been riding seriously for over 25 years and have been to lots of bike shops and this one’s my favorite. They love bikes and want you to love yours too (no matter what kind: road, mountain, gravel, cruising around town, etc)

I recently purchased a Trek Allant+ 7 e-bike from Momentum Bicycles. Tim and Corey were very helpful and informative concerning e-bikes. Momentum Bikes always takes great care of my bike. I got my bike back timely after a tune up and it looked great. They also have excellent customer service, they took the time to talk to me about trails in the area and provide directions. They are excellent place to get your bike serviced!

We have been customers here for a long time. The owner, Tim, and staff, are all big into riding and making sure we have fun on our bikes, too. They take great care of us and our bikes. We have a big family of riders, and have bought new and used road and trail bikes. Tim has refurbished older road bikes for us, which was great for a serious rider who was NOT done growing yet! Tim and crew are hard to beat. This is an amazing resource for SW Wisconsin. From repair to sales, from parts to accessories, this place is top-notch. Our family has purchased all our bikes (9+) in the last 15 years from Tim, and he does a great job accepting trade-ins to count as credit on new upgrades. (This is especially appreciated on the kids bikes, as they have grown in and out of multiple bikes.) The shop has demo bikes to loan out, test, and ride before you commit to a significant purchase. Perhaps most importantly, Tim and his shop are VERY involved in the local community and believe in investing time and resources to make Platteville a better place for all. Now matter what your level or confidence, these folks are never condescending. They are always respectful and upbeat. Yes, you could go somewhere with more volume and discount prices...but why? Not only do you get MORE than what you pay for with Tim, you support a local business that supports you and your community right back. So close the loop, take a trip to Main Street, and experience what a bike shop should be.

Big selection for a small town. They focus on fat bikes but have every kind of bike in the store and can get you anything. Ive seen a $15K tandem in there and a fat recumbent tricycle. Electric bikes and vintage parts as well. Good people to talk to/work with and very valuable asset for the town.

Ive been going here literally for decades, and I love this shop. Ive worked for bike shops before moving back, and I cant even BEGIN to quantify how important these places are to riders and to our communities. I will NEVER ever buy bike stuff online because I always want a great local shop where ever I live. You cant get a free water and friendly service (or service at all) from the internet. You will never get the invaluable personal face to face knowledge and solutions and expertise without a great local shop like this one. And the enthusiasm and excitement they generate for healthy riding and healthy lifestyles in our little towns is downright priceless. Dont go to big box places, and dont shop online. Give these great peeps your business and keep our towns healthy and thriving.

Hard to get bike back when they are very busy, which happens often. Prices a slightly high for my taste. Workmanship is pretty good though. For its size does have a lot to offer.

This is a great small-town, local bike shop. Tim and Corey are knowledgable, friendly and helpful. Come to Momentum Bikes for the bikes, maintenance or to hang out and see where everyones riding/get trail reports (I take advantage of all three). I bought a new Trek Stash from them, but they also help keep my 1980s vintage Raleigh Super Sport on the road. They not only stock the latest bikes and parts, but can get creative and keep your old bikes running smoothly too.

I receive far better service from this great bike shop in a rural Wisconsin college town then I do from either of the TWO bike shops in my hometown of Kenosha.Very supportive of the local cycling community and the collegiate cycling club. Good luck finding a better bike shop between Dubuque and Madison!(Hint: you wont find a better one!)
