Would have gotten 4 stars but the power rake I rented and brought home had a bad belt that broke in the first 45 minutes of me using it so I had to run all the way back to Plattsburgh for a belt the next morning when they opened so I lost 4 hours or working time. They did however give me some $$$ for changing the belt and lost time

Purchased a hard hat for a work assignment at a reasonable price.

My husband rented a aerial lift from them today the boom went up and machine would not go back down. Luckily he climbed his way down with his climbing gear. What a piece of junk. I do not recommend renting any equipment from them.

Have been into Taylor a number of times. Recently went in and noticed a floor plan change. LOOKS great. each time I visit they are helping me with either saw repairs or chain sharpening. They have some crazy deals on big mowers and now have a robotic lawn mower!! Always have what I need and service is excellent!

Costly untenttive

Not a happy customer, first I rented a excavator wanted it delivered about 12 o clock ended up calling because it wasnt delivered and they thought I was going to pick it up second, second escavator I rented didnt get dropped off until 11:30, make sure you take photographs of the equipment when they drop it off I was charged over $280 because I scratch the paint and put a small dent in the in the back. If you look at any escavator you will see if theres always scuff marks on the back . I dont know where they got the price for that but I guess maybe they have to find some way to pay their bills .

I work at a resort, and we host a handful of weddings each year. Over the five years Ive worked here, Taylor Rental has delivered a tent and other supplies to at least 3 weddings each year at our resort, and almost every single time, something goes wrong. Either they forget something important, adding several hours to their setup time - or they deliver faulty equipment altogether, as in the case of a wedding here recently. The heaters would not correctly attach to the opening in the tent. It was 30 degrees outside and the heaters were virtually useless. Plus, one of the two tanks for the propane heaters was EMPTY upon delivery (very close to it, rather -- completely empty within an hour of use, so the wedding guests had to call and have propane brought in late at night).Most of our wedding guests end up complaining to Taylor Rental management, which never goes well. Apparently, the management is excruciating to deal with. I cant personally comment much on that as I havent dealt with the management myself. But - for sure - the people who come out to set up the equipment often have no idea what theyre doing.I strongly advise against renting tent equipment from Taylor Rental. This company is abysmal.

Jenna mainly dealt with our planner (Placid Planner) but everything seemed to go smoothly even up to the day of. We had a large wedding (over 400 invited, roughly 220 attended) so there were three tents plus so much that went inside and outside the tents and all of it turned out to be better than we could have imagined. Jenna did an amazing job organizing everything and making sure it all went smoothly. I would definitely suggest going with Jenna and her team for your rental needs!

Rented a Cat skid steer with rock rake, delivery was close to the time expected, rented it for a 7 day period had 2 break downs first one being a track slipped off they sent someone to replace it within 3 hrs of contact, OK started back to work, late the next day the opposite track slipped off. The machine was unusable for a day an half . Never was able to get the full time allotted for the time rented. Was issued a less than a half day refund, replaced the track for the return to Taylors, the delivery person was totally unprepared to replace that track. Seems as though the owners should be aware of letting their junior relatives make these decisions, Now we will need to rent another machine to complete the job. Surely not from TAYLOR RENTAL

They are not knowledgeable about the tools they rent (spoke to 3 about floor nailer before I gave up and bought one). They are not very friendly, like its a burden for them to take your money. Only use them for Penske drop off now

We are a local business who does a lot of business with Taylor Rental. They are there for our needs in all seasons of work weather it is snow removal, cleaning up in the spring, digging in the dirt, and dressing us up for the cold again in fall. Wow, Excellent Service! I needed batteries for my Golf Cart and up here in Montreal, Quebec, the shops were either over-priced or didnt carry what I wanted. At Taylor Rental in Plattsburgh they know their stuff and have great prices, even with the exchange. Its so refreshing to deal with people who are good at what they do and like doing it. We are repeat customers who have purchased several items to include a brand new Mahindra tractor within the last month as we prefer to support local businesses. With the tractor we purchased a tiller attachment and hay spear, payed for a block heater as well as loaded tires. While looking at the tractor and attachments we specifically asked for the Tomahawk hay spear as it looked to be of better quality than the Mahindra. As there were no tiller attachments on the lot we werent able to view those, however, my husband specifically asked the salesman if the tiller he ordered would be red to match the brand new Mahindra tractor. The salesman assured us the tiller would be red, leading us to foolishly assume it would be a Mahindra tiller. The tractor was delivered timely and the deliveryman was pleasant and knowledgeable. Within 15 minutes of receiving the tractor it was easy to tell the tires were not loaded as requested and paid for. We also noticed the red tiller was not red nor a Mahindra but rather a gray Kodiak, not what we were told we would be receiving. We called the next morning to be told that the tires were not loaded and the block heater was also not installed...again both were paid for. We were told that there was nothing they could do for a couple of days but they would have the tractor picked up and fixed when they could squeeze us in. There was no response regarding receiving the wrong tiller. A call was immediately placed and a complaint was made via the owners voicemail. Our tractor was picked up the same day and returned the following day with all work completed. When my husband attempted to follow up regarding the tiller he again left a complaint with the owner. The owner acknowledged our concern and assured us he would call us today to figure something out. We received a call from the salesman today and my husband was told if having a red tiller was so important to him they would give us a can of red paint and a Mahindra sticker to make us feel better. What a sarcastic and totally unprofessional comment from someone who was supposed to assist with the problem not compound it by being inappropriate. When my husband called and asked to speak with the owner regarding the behavior of his salesman we were told by a worker he does not usually get involved in these issues and we would have to deal with the sales department...the same salesman who treated us with callous disregard just hours earlier. Its difficult to want to continue to support local business when you are treated so poorly.

My sister and brother in law rented a penske truck through this location. It wasn’t there when it was supposed to be and they couldn’t tell us why or when it would be there. Their response to us was literally “It’s not our problem, there’s the door. You can either wait for it or go somewhere else.” Then we were told it wouldn’t affect their business so they didn’t care........Does stuff happen? Absolutely. However a business shows it’s true character in the way it treats its customers when things go wrong. I would never recommend this place for any sort of business of any kind if this is a true reflection of how they treat customers, whether they are indirect customers or not.

Heath Andre is the best salesman out there. I just bought a new Mahindra heated cab tractor from him & I have dealt with Taylor Rental before and all I can say that they are the best in the business. I am grateful to them for their professional and top notch service. And i do have to say that Mahindra tractors are definitely worth looking at if anyone out there might be in the market for one. I have had 2 and I am sold on them.

Rented a towable post hole auger that didnt work. Was refunded after company antics as described below. Treated like I was privileged to get my money back. Four hours wasted, and over 60 miles traveled.I complained that 10 inch auger wouldnt cut below top soil. Front desk made two employees take auger out back to test. Combined weight of the two approximately 400 lbs. I followed for the test.Even in the filled gravel area that the test was performed, and with the weight of both employees pushing down on auger, they couldnt get the auger to bore any deeper than the 10 inches that I did. More antics to follow.Front desk radios back to bay 7. He asks what is wrong with the towable auger. Response is nothing wrong with equipment, it is the one that was just gone through the hydraulics and works fine. I said ask how cutting bit worked. He did, and response was, I ordered a new cutting head for it, but the 12 inch auger worked just fine. I said I cant use the 12 inch, and asked for 10 inch.My account was closed, and they said my credit card was refunded.What a privilege? I won the antics display, and got my money back. No apology for the 4 hours, 60 miles, and inconvenience. No apology for the test of challenging what I said occurred with a non working cutting auger.Im a unhappy return customer, I have an account, and history of renting. I have the receipt. Thankfully we have other renting options. Customer service training needed.

I bought a AWD mower push lawn mower from Jordan Keleher which is not the most expensive mower obviously (one of the least expensive methods) but he took the time to explain it to me which meant a lot. I plan on making more purchases at this business because of my experience and I recommend you to as well. Ask for Jordan he is very good!

Taylor rentals is the qorst olace to pick up a truck. They said it would be here at 9 now its 10. No clue when the truck will be here and they could have cared less. The place is a joke. They over charge for everything they rent out and will not work with you when un-controllable circumstances arise. My fiancée rented an arbor for our wedding day a month ago. Unknown to us, her father was secretly making one as a surprise. He didnt know she rented one for $100 (non-refundable). He surprised us with this a week before the wedding. I called to see if we could cancel the order, a week before the wedding, and was told that we couldnt because they may have turned people down that would have wanted it. Bull S#*t! I complained to the rude heartless ^%$%$ employee. Who finally gave in and said she would credit us back if and only if someone else were to call and rent it by the end of the week. Based on her word nobody called. RIGHT! She seemed like a liar so I had called 2 days later and was told it was rented out already. They are scammers. Over a measly $100 bucks.
