They have great prices and were willing to go out their way to help get my gravel where I needed it. I will be shopping there again soon.

These guys had all the plants and variations I was looking for when other places I had looked at did not. Jessica was super helpful and friendly from the get go. She was patient and kind, as I had 4 kids in tow as she guided is around to find what we needed. The price was right as well. Better than what I had proceed out elsewhere. They pretty much had it all. Overall great experience.

As a horticulturist, this nursery is not my favorite. The selection and quality of trees is ok, but their customer service needs a boost. They only have a handful of staff who are knowledgeable of their inventory and plants. If they aren’t working, your questions will go unanswered (even about pricing). The staff in the main lobby were not eager to help us and we got a lot of blank stares. We ended up having to dig out our own rootball tree because we were told someone would help us, but no one came. The northern location is great, which is why I was excited to check this place out, but I will not be recommending this nursery to any of my clients in the future.

I love one-stop nurseries like this where I am able to get landscape rock, bark, shrubs and trees (etc.). I recently got some well priced rock for a large flowerbed from Reece and we love it. These guys over at Tri City South try really hard to give you discounts. Love their central location in the valley. Very friendly staff and company!

This place is awesome. I had the pleasure of speaking with Reece and he had a massive amount of knowledge about the bigger trees I desired. I’ve since planted my tree and the roots seem to be growing very deep and strong. I have very little background with all thing nursery but I can definitely trust the people here to take care of my needs.

Decent prices, great quality. We were looking for Weeping white spruce and they have some beautiful specimens in stock. We were treated respectfully too. Overall a positive experience.

Would love to give it more than one star, because they appear to have a great selection, but after twenty minutes of wandering around, I couldnt get a single person to help out, so... bye.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Phone staff is unbelievably rude. Orders are NEVER on time, and off by SEVERAL hours. Expect to never get your order, deal with inpatient, rude, and disrespectful staff... if you can even get a hold of anyone. Beware if you are a business owner trying to order for a client they are IMPOSSIBLE to work with.

UPDATE: Buyer Beware. The owners response is a flat out Lie. I ordered 12 yds of lava rock and to make the pricing seem better you are now stating 10 yds is what was delivered. FALSE, it was 12 yds. Again 12yds I was charged $690 and you now wanted $515 before tax for half that quantity on my next order. That math does NOT add up. I was wanting to purchase a total of 18 yds from you people so I would expect when needing the same material a few days later that the price per yard to be the exact same with the exception of delivery cost.It’s a bummer the owner had to get on a respond by lying about how much rock I actually purchased.... 12 yds, not 10! Very telling and makes these numerous other 1 -2 star reviews stand true. Hopefully you guys can get it figured out. Funny enough, I know one of the other member who left negative feedback within the last few months. It’s too bad you decided to handle this by addressing my concern by jumping on here and lying about the quantity you actually sent me.Original Review posted below:I paid $690 for 12 yds of lava rock last week. Needed an additional 6 yds (half the amount) and the price was going to only be $160 difference. Tell me how that Math works? I consulted with my original sales rep. I was even fine with paying a delivery fee this time and was simply told “we’re treating this order as a new 6 yards of gravel and you are not getting the same price we gave you 5 days ago. If you don’t like it I suggest you go somewhere else”. Great way on retaining business.

I went to this nursery specifically to consult with someone about what type of tree would thrive in my area (saratoga springs) based on our climate/zone/soil. I got the help I needed and was steered to a $300 tree, which I loved, came home and planted. I have watered and cared for this tree exactly the way they told me to. Two weeks later this tree is dead. I called back to inquire about getting a replacement or a refund, and was met with resistance. The employee I talked to, Bill, was incredibly rude on the phone. He told me that they could offer me 20% off another tree...and thats it. I asked him what he recommend I do, because I wouldnt want this to happen again if I bought a replacement. He made all sorts of aggressive comments, things like How am I supposed to know what happened, I wasnt there when you planted it? and maybe you killed it. maybe you didnt plant it correctly. I cant help you with that. Long story short, it was one of the more unpleasant and shocking interactions Ive had with a professional in a very long time. And all because I was calling with a genuine concern about how my tree has died despite THEM telling me what would thrive.*UPDATE* I consulted with a brilliant plant specialist out in Saratoga about this tree. She told me that this type of tree will not do well with the type of soil we have out here. So not only did they steer me wrong, but it now cost me $300 and a terrible phone call.I wont go back. And if you do, I would recommend you only go if you know what youre after and dont need to ask them questions about their products. Bill should be fired for the way he spoke to me. Im sure he wont be. There are so many negative reviews below mine, so clearly the manager Daryl isnt that concerned.

Buyer bewareThis is not a good company. At the time of this writing they have screwed me out of hundreds of dollars worth of landscaping supplies.I purchased dozens of plants and trees in the fall after they had gone dormant. I was concerned about this as there wasn’t much indication that they were alive and well. However, I was assured by the salesperson that the safest place for the plants was in the ground, and as long as we got them in before the ground froze everything would be fine. They even assured me that if there were any problems and a plant didn’t come back in the spring, they would take care of it. I felt like I was making a good choice. I had good experiences in the past with this place and felt I could trust them.Wrong. We had several plants, including trees, not survive. Emails to the salesperson went unanswered. Eventually we called and found out the individual no longer works there. Emails to the company went unanswered as well.I was eventually able to make contact via their general phone number and was told by the manager they were only willing to give a 20% discount on replacements. I explained that wasn’t what was promised and was told - in no uncertain terms, that the employee was not authorized to make that sort of guarantee and I am responsible for the mistake.They claim they aren’t a retail nursery and instead only do wholesale so they aren’t setup to deal with these types of issues. The manager at one point rudely mentioned that maybe the they should only sell to people who know what they are doing.If your not planning on forming a business relationship with this place and buying a lot of product, you would be better off finding a more friendly place of business.

Very impressed with them, I worked with Reece and he was awesome at helping us stay in our budget but still get everything we needed. Great service and great prices (i price checked against everywhere else, overall they definitely beat all competitors)

I love this place! I have visited and done business with many nurseries in both Utah and Salt Lake Valleys. Even though I now live in SLC, I go back to Tri-City for what I need. They staff are very knowledgeable and helpful, and their prices and selection cant be beat.

I would say this is the best place to buy tress of all varieties, employee Jessica does a really good job in explaining different types of tress and how to use them. Tree delivery on the other hand does not do a really good job, they just dropped off the tree on my sidewalk without knocking on our door or leave me a message on my phone. Good experience except tree delivery!

Disappointing to say the least. Poor customer service, not many knowledgeable employees, had to dig out own rootball tree because we were tired of waiting. Had a good experience last year, but this year, not so much.

Recently ventured over to browse through their selection of fruit trees.I found Alex Glover (salesman) to be very knowledgeable and helpful. He shared his knowledge regarding the various apple, peach and apricot trees we purchased.It was well worth the twenty-four mile drive to shop at Tri City Nursery South.Their prices are excellent! I wish I had more land to plant. And if your trees arent fairing well give them a call and they can help.

Such a great experience buying sand and mulch from Tri City!! I called in 4 or 5 times asking more questions, comparing prices with businesses closer to us and every time Jordon was helpful, patient and professional. We ended up ordering from them because their prices were great. Living further away upped our delivery fee but even taking that into account they were significantly less expensive, especially for the sand. The delivery guy was one of the best we’ve seen and unloaded everything in the exact spots we asked- even though it wasn’t an easy spot to reach. Couldn’t be happier with our purchase!

Seriously has the best quality of plants around. I finished my entire front yard for a reasonable cost, and the plants look amazing. I havent found quality like that at any other nursery in northern Utah. Being able to get the bark and rock at the same location made it even better. Very happy with my purchases. Was even able to return a couple of weeks later to pick up the rest of my plants that I purchased.

I worked with 3 different employees at Tri City Nursery South and each one of them was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. The prices are the best in the state and the quality of the trees and shrubs was excellent. I was unaware of this nursery before, but now I will do my shopping there!

We spent thousands of dollars at this nursery. Jonathan is an expert on our soil. He advised us on what would grow well and healthy in our area. We took really good care of our plants. We carefully watered them everyday. We used the same fertilizer they recommend. Over $1,000 worth of our plants died within 1-2 months. We called about their warranty and unlike every other nursery, they have no warranty. They offered us a small discount if we want to come back in and buy more plants from them. No thanks. Ill go to a nursery where they warranty their plants.

There was no one to help. There are no prices posted. The man who took our payment for plants was rude and made it clear he did not want to help us. Wont be going back.

Jon is the most helpful person we have met at a nursery. He spent nearly two hours helping us design the ideal backyard. The prices and great, but he is the reason this place gets five stars!

I have made several purchases, dirt, mulch, trees, etc. I have always found the customer service to be excellent and prices more than fair. When I have questions, the associates always find answers for me and go above and beyond. Give them a try; you will be happy you did!

They were very helpful in helping us choose fruit trees and gave us wonderful expert opinions about planting our new trees. We also bought 4 fruit trees here for the same amount of money that we spent on a single fruit tree at a different nursery!

Had a great experience here. They have a beautiful selection of plants and trees. Alex, who works there and has much horticulture education and experience, walked me through the grounds and helped me pick out the right plants for my yard.

Customer service trumps all. The service I received here was awful. I showed up in a short-bed truck and was told I could receive half a yard (half a bucket load) of lava rock. After paying I was told where to park to have it loaded. Those were my only instructions. A kid showed up with a tractor, took a load of lava rock and proceeded to dump it, not just in the bed of my truck but on top of my truck cab as well. I was shocked! After dumping it he gave me a thumbs up and drove off! Drove off!! The entire roof of my cab has scratches all over it. I had to gently remove the rock, and knew they would try and blame me for how I took it off so I filmed it. After cleaning off my cab myself I drove to the office to talk to a manager. A guy came out, took pics then went back inside. He then returned and told me it was my fault because I brought a short-bed truck, that the scratches were from how I removed the rock (just as expected), and that there are signs posted saying they take no responsibility for damages from loading. Then he went back inside! I filmed the entire lot, no signs anywhere. No one told me of the potential problem of having a short bed truck, and I didnt get help cleaning up the problem or one apology. It was my fault I was told! Unless you have years of experience with landscape suppliers and happen to know all of these obvious potential problems beforehand, or you care less about basic customer service, or personal property, steer clear of this juvenile company.

I love the trees, plants, and flowering perennials that they have here! They have great help and are willing to help find what you need. I would definetly come here for all my landscape needs!

Made a call to confirm they sold medium cedar bark as shown on their website. I asked about the sizing of the bark and if it was not just all shredded bark. The young lady confirmed this question. I ordered 8 cy delivered. Delivery price and scheduled time was as confirmed. However the product is at best small cedar bark you can purchase at Home Depot. In fact you can purchase the real medium size bark nuggets from both Home Depot and Lowe for about the same price. Just delivery and opening a ton of bags. But you will at least get the right size and not some inferior product. I would not purchase from them again based on this misleading product fact. Just too damn bad people dont be honest and tell the truth.

Great christmas tree buying experience. They had a good selection of fresh trees to choose from and someone on sight to help pick it out, cut off the end to the length needed and even help tie it to my car!We also bought sand for our sandbox and it soooooo soft!

I purchased a few yards of sand, but only had room in my trailer for one yard. They said I could come back and get the rest later. When I finally had another project where I needed the rest, I returned to get it and they said they said NO. In other words they completely lied, completely stole my money.

The positives:Nice selection of trees, when calling the lady on the phone was very nice.The negatives: The gentleman in the office was not willing to help, and was very rude. Our intent was to buy several thousand dollars worth of privacy trees or plants. After looking through the nursery, husband went inside ask the folks in the office for help. He asked the lady a question, she didnt know the answers to the questions. She asked the man, and he was short and dismissive. The man told my husband we arent in Georgia and the plant he asked about would never grow in Utah. He then cut him off and told him he had to ring another man up. We left frustrated and tree-less

My review is based solely on the topsoil that I received, as I havent used their nursery for anything else. I doubled checked several times that what we received was what they said was topsoil but, in reality, Im sure it was just filler which made it unusable for our project. The topsoil was filled with rocks that were big enough to be problematic (we needed it to topdress our lawn) but small enough to be nearly impossible to sift out. A complete waste of time and money.

The customer service can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are and who you talk to. That being said they have great products at good prices and people like Lucas are very knowledgeable.
