I would not recommend coming here. We came here looking for appliances for our kitchen remodel and had looked at some options and requested a quote. The 1st sales guy never sent it to us so we went back and meet with another guy who was the only one there that was helpful. I believe his name is Neel. He was helpful and listened to us and sent us our quote. Our remodel was delayed so we want back months later to get an updated quote and walked into that store and could not get anyone to help us or even acknowledge our presences. Finally after about 10-15 minutes we were able to get someone to help us. Her name was Jenifer and she was just awful. We could tell that she didn’t not want to help us at all and just felt judged by her. She kept on giving us weird side looks. We just felt very uncomfortable. We were ready to buy that day but she couldn’t even be bothered with that and told us she would send an updated quote to some other salesperson and they would help us. Never heard back from anyone there. We left and went straight to airport appliances and placed an order of almost $20,000 in new appliances.
I bought a washer and dryer several months ago from Dave, the Sales Manager, and he provided me with excellent customer service. He provided personal hands-on by actually going out to the warehouse to confirm the inventory of the ones I selected. He was generous in the delivery fees as I live in Mountain View and the store is in Pleasant Hill. Friedmans had a personal touch, not experienced at Lowes, HomeDepot or Best Buy. And they had in-stock the appliances that most stores did not have! Friedmans Appliance store will be my go-to appliance store, from now on! .
Ordered an LG dryer and quoted delivery on following Thursday. Thursday comes and goes but no call or delivery so I check in with the store to see what happened. Dryer receipt and delivery date were an estimate and the item hadnt arrived. Would have been nice to know but understandable given global and domestic shipping problems. Given a new quote for next week Wednesday. Get a call confirming delivery the day before, great! Delivery does show... I call again only to hear that dryer has still not arrived, and get a whole spiel about back-up at the port in Oakland and in LA or oh wait we might have the item in stock but its miss categorized, going to talk to the manager and see if we can ship this to you in a week but have to talk to my manager first. 4 hrs later I call to see the status and now told that the model dryer I ordered will never be in stock because it has been discontinued for a year. I conformed they sold me this model 2 weeks just to be clear but my joke goes unnoticed. I am offered a lower model that does not have the same features and have to ask if there is a current model that has the same features. Yes, there is a current model and they have multiple in stock and confirm the price will be matched and delivered 2 two days. 3rd try is a charm, right?! Get a call 30 min later, my dryer is on a truck 15 min out. Original purchase model is provided, delivery crew us super nice and have the unit installed and running in 15 min. I do not know a place this disorganized stays in business but I now the last LG model 3700 dryer sold in the states and feel thankful for that.
One of the better venues for a wide range of appliances from affordable to affluent. Steve was very patient in explaining the differences of the items we wanted. Suggest you read the fine print before any purchases.

If I could give them a zero I would. Sales team is horrible. Customer service is HORRIBLE. We were recommended here by a family friend and we REGRET going with Friedman’s. DO NOT use them. Spend your hard earned money else where.Beware of anything and everything they tell you and be ready to fend for yourself.
This is a high-end appliance store it is laid out very close and tight and has some really lovely kitchen designs in it The appliances are definitely all top end you cant find a cheap anything if you go here :-) it took a while for customer service to get to us but when they did we did get good customer service

We just bought an LG washing machine from Friedmans, thanks to Jeannie, their telephone customer service representative.She did an outstanding job helping me select a machine, purchase it, tell me where to pick it up in Benicia, and set me up with a warrantee suited to our needs. I always felt she was efficient, pleasant and working on my behalf to make sure I got what i needed.
Worst customer service we have ever experienced. Sold us defective appliances and then expected us to get them serviced after only owning the dryer for a 2 days. Would not provide new working appliance. When we tried to return made us go through our credit card company to get a refund. After that they agreed to accept the defective appliance for return. Never received a call to schedule a time to pick up just showed up to our house at 8:30 am to pick up without any warning. Very disappointed in Friedman’s Appliance and will never do business with them again.
Salesmen are very friendly and attentive when you are making a purchase. But it is difficult to get their attention. Are they that busy? No one greets you to let you know that their salesmen are busy but will get to you as soon as possible. I do not get a return phone call or e-mail when I leave a message. When I ask for the manager, Im told I dont think hes in. And then, he doesnt call back in a timely fashion or at all! Not happy with my latest experience. I have been a repeat customer.
Sent an email the night before letting them know I needed to buy a dryer. Quick response back to just come in they would be open to the public. Arrived in the store and started to look at dryers. Thought it was odd that no salesperson had approached. Another couple walked in, was approached immediately and was helped with a washer purchase. I approached the sales desk for the 2nd time. At least 8 salespeople sitting at computers. No one looked up. I wasnt going to beg. Left the store and replied to the email previously sent. Immediately answered with wow, next time you should make an appt. There will not be a next time.
Had a positive shopping experience here. Already knew what I wanted. When we walked in, the sales staff was busy with other customers so we walked around the showroom to see what they had, get more ideas, etc. About 45 minutes later we were approached by a salesman who thought we were another customer. He helped us with the transaction and we were done.Covid protocols are in place, physical distancing, sanitizing, etc. Recommend checking their website first and booking an appointment. It can save you some time.
This place is #1 for appliances in the East Bay. Give them a try if you have never been there. The display kitchens seem endless and there is so much more beyond that.

Think twice before ordering appliances from Friedmans. They have screwed up every part of my order. Sub zero Refrigerator and freezer doors were ordered with different size doors. The woof range was installed and the knobs were back ordered. They never said a word until the installer told us. Can you imagine getting your beautiful wolf stove installed with the knobs missing. My wife was so excited to cook and no knobs! She was so disappointed. The woof range hood was also delivered with the wrong size duct cover. I am waiting for that. The correct one is back ordered. No one can tell me when it will arrive. They delivered the dishwasher 2 days ago and it is the the wrong model. I called them spoke with Oz(my sales guy) who said he would look into it and get back with me. Never heard a word. So I called them 24 hours later, Oz was not there and nobody knew anything about it. All the guy had to to do was call or email me. Being a business owner I take customer service very seriously. And these guys have none of it. I understand mistakes are made. You would think after the doors were ordered wrong they would confirm the rest of the order was correct and inform me of anymore issues. But I think they just dont care. Remember folks, top of the line appliances should come with top of the line service and that for sure is not the case with Friedmans.
The showroom is impressive with their selection. But lets be honest, you can buy the appliances anywhere. Its the staff that stands out. Our designer referred us to Iggy. He was just what we hoped for. He is very knowledgeable and most importantly fair and patient. Appliances can be daunting. All the different features, the reliability, etc. Iggy gave us very sincere guidance that helped make our final decisions! Thank you
Very helpful in getting our order placed and taking our money. Left phone and email messages for Dave (must be playing golf) which he has not responded to. While in store looking for Dave we found out that one item we ordered was in. No one contacted us about it. Tried to talk to the sales manager, too busy, left number but has not contacted us. Not caring about customers after the sale seems to be part of their business plan.

My last review from 4 years ago was five stars. This time around I am not very happy with the service I am getting. Sales and showroom is great, but everything after that is subbpar.Update:Everything finally delivered so I added a star. Still, quite a difference in service before and after payment, even on really expensive appliances.
Their customer service is a joke. Calls and emails go unanswered, promises made are not kept, answers differ from person to person and day to day.Their selection is great and they are skilled salespeople, but thats where it ends. I suggest shopping there and buying elsewhere.
I have been buying my appliances from Friedmans for over a decade. Very knowledgeable staff, direct communications, straight forward, reliable information about products and delivery times. Get the extended warranty! Scott is my usual salesperson, great doing business with him!

Unfortunately my experiences with this place have NOT been great, SO FAR. When I was driving to get on the freeway one day. I should have been give the right of way for someone that drives and works for this company. He was extremely discourteous and rude to me when I encountered him as a Ambassador for this company. What I should have done, and I would have every right to do so. Is to have gone to the location in Pleasant Hill and file a complaint. I didnt do that.This is why Im mentioning my experience here and now. I would only hope if I actually decide to do business with this company in the future. I would be treated with much more respectful and courteous. Thats all.
I see all these great reviews but our experience has not been so great. We ordered stacking washer dryer, which we needed as soon as possible because old washer stopped working.We stepped up in brand so we could get them faster. But, when delivery guys showed up they said they didn’t have right brackets to stack the washer and dryer.Reluctantly, we rescheduled from Wednesday to Saturday.On Saturday afternoon we get a call saying that they tried to deliver but no one was home, which was obviously not right. They must have gone to the wrong place because we were waiting all day for them.Called to ask about the delivery and now can’t get a callback from anyoneSo, I guess we’re stuck waiting...Figured they would have least called to apologize.
I went in to buy a dishwasher. I have gotten great service in the the past there. This time Tom did not seem like he really was interested in me because I told him I was not interested in spending a lot of money when he recommended a Miele. He never opened any to sell me its bells and whistles. I had to. I had to ask all the questions. I left I bought a top of the line Samsung at best buy and had someone who actually helped me.

He even asked us what our living situation is and based on that, he told us what item would be best to suit our needs. Dont go here if youre looking for a Best Buy or Home Depot shopping experience. Most of the product lines are higher end, and it seems more suited to redoing an entire kitchen than buying a replacement microwave oven.The one time I went in, with that microwave oven in mind, they were busy and I certainly didnt need to worry about being pestered by a salesperson. After looking at a very large display section of microwaves, and determining that buying something wasnt a simple matter of putting a box in my cart and checking out (no carts and no boxed product on the floor), I went to the large sales/service desk area and talked to a very knowledgeable rep who gave me good information.I ended up not buying from there because the built-in replacement model I needed had to be ordered and would take a couple weeks. So I ended up buying from evil Amazon at the same price but with 2 day delivery.I believe they have good, competitive prices, and they definitely have a huge selection, including more exclusive brands and models. Also, their showroom is pretty fantastic, so if you just want to fantasize a little, it might be a fun place to visit. Therefore, if youve got a bigger project, or maybe want more specialty products and more expertise than a standard big box retailer, Friedmans is a great choice. Looking for a standard Maytag washer? You might be more comfortable at Home Depot.

The have a large selection washer/dryers, refrigerators, oven, stove tops, warming ovens, microwaves, wine chillers, even BBQs and more. They varying ranges in from high end to apartment sizes. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and not pushy. There delivery team has always done a great job. They even price matched the drawer that went under our washer and dryer. Highly recommend you check them out.
Friedmans Appliance, a great buying and customer service experience thanks to AJ Jaral.Our new Viking microwave periodically made a loud noise, similar to a wood chipper! Contacted AJ, said not to worry, hed put in a service request with American Appliance Repair. Two hours later they called, we set the appointment. Thats fast service!John arrived at the appointed time, explained the chipper noise, few programming attempts the chipper sound materialized. After a little investigating, John found a metal clip had come undone, snapped it back in place - silence!Thanks again to AJ for his continued service, hes the best.
Great place to seek out whats new, what you like and sort of test drive appliances. But once you leave you feel like you were at a used car lot. Prices are competitive even with online dealers. Good selection but they only carry certain brands. I felt like once the sale was made, I was chopped liver. Funny enough, Ive purchased before and I purchased again. Apparently the appliance and the price were more of concern than how I felt once the transaction was over. Its not a bad place to start and the prices arent out of line with Sears or Amazon.
An amazing store when Im ready to buy a house I will definitely be shopping there they have so much variety for kitchen appliances and grills, And much much much more staff is friendly store is nice and clean and well-lit.

OMG we have bought a lot of appliances from them. Some for our rentals and some for our home. Just bought a refrigerator a month ago and had to deal with a number of sales people and have gotten no where. Managers will not return calls either. Still can’t get it delivered. We are planning on a large kitchen remodel and now need to find somewhere else to go. Now we have to figure out how to get our money back Was hoping not to have to go there AGAIN in person. But have no choice and not sure that will even work!
I purchased a hood for my kitchen made by Zephyr which was amazing until when it malfunctioned and I couldnt get the company to make good on their warranty. I called Friedmans and at first the manager I spoke with was very attentive and then he just stopped returning my calls -- very disappointed. I have bought many appliances there over the years and never had a problem. They need to stand by what they sell.

I purchased Several new appliances for my home 3 years ago and the dishwasher has not worked properly most of the time. I purchased an extended warranty and I have had a very difficult time getting service and a difficult time getting help from Friedmans. It has been really disappointing. I loved my appliances, but the follow through and service has been very poor.

Went to the store to purchase a refrigerator, I wasnt dressed like I had money, the sales man took the money acted like I wasnt important any more after I paid cash.
If I could put 0 stars, I would. I ordered cooktop and in a week was told it would be delivered in 3 days. The day has come, but delivery driver told me that their truck has some troubles, so wed have to reschedule for tomorrow. The next day, they called again and told me that my order is not there at the distribution center, because it was back-ordered. So no clue, when it might be available. Thats how efficient this business is. Will never buy from them anything, ever again. Canceled.
Excellent choices on high end dishwashers. Salesman, Rothin, was very knowledgeable about every different maker of dishwashers, their functions, cycles, etc. We were very happy with his professionalism and knowledge of product. We are now proud owners of a Bosch dishwasher. Thank you!

I hate taking the time to write a review but this is necessary. Although Friedmans has a nice showroom the customer service is ghastly. We ordered and paid for an oven and dishwasher in December, 2016. We were told we would have them by Christmas. The oven was delayed and I called in January and February but was told to stop calling because they would call me. In May (yes May) my wife and I went in and were told that they tried to call us on 3/3 and 3/9 but got no response so the oven was sent back ( remember we already paid for both items). I proved with my phone bill that I received no calls from them. Further, they had my wifes number and my email but we received no contact. We were told that we would get the items soon and a guy named Daryl said we would get a $250 credit toward the $350 installation - not much but ok. The oven and dishwasher were installed but I have now left Daryl 3 voice messages regarding the $250 with no response. I hate spending time on this but I will definitely be looking into other options to get Friedmans to be held responsible for their actions.
We wasted 3 weeks waiting for a big box store (initials BB) to get their act together and deliver a range that wasnt damaged. After the 3rd attempt we gave up.Went to Friedmans, met Iggy, ordered the same range at the same price and it was delivered..drama free..1 week later. So lets recap, we wasted 3 weeks and Friedmans did it right the first time. That says it all.
We just got 3 appliances. The information was great we will follow up later about the rest of the expense experience at Friedmans.
Nice place, not getting why someones Commission on a sale is more important than customer engagement for the sale. I could be wrong Im guessing this is why there are no prices to reference without asking somebody online as well. Personally, I would much rather have an idea of the price for the things Im finding of Interest before I waste anybodys time bothering a Salesman unnecessarily should the item be way out of my range. In addition on the times that does happen with a price I cant get to with my funds I find myself humiliated even thinking I could maybe afford such a thing unknowingly what is so hard and what exactly is taken away buy pricing items it just tells me there is a wide range of flexibility and nobody pays the same. Im not exactly one to have an interest in negotiating so for me even though its a nice store and the products appear nice quality the experience is to be desired for me personally
High End Buyers BEWARE!!!!We placed a $50,000 order. We worked closely with Iggy. Money was collected yet at the time of delivery we discovered the Miele Fridge, freezer and dishwasher were NEVER ordered. Wolf range was broken upon arrival. Still waiting for the part to come in to enjoy my $18,000 range. Manager refuses to return our calls.SHAME ON YOU Friedman’s.We will NEVER do business with these people again. NEVER!

Horrible experience. Came ready to buy a washer/dryer combo and were completely ignored as salespeople were laughing and talking with each other as we came in and blew right by us and no even said boo to us. We looked at the washers and dryers anyway for about 10 minutes and no one came by to offer any assistance. There was one salesperson left in the area after the other salespeople left and as we passed he did say hi as he was helping a customer but didnt ask if we had questions or offer to get someone else to help.We left and went to Airport Home Appliance and the experience was completely different and made our purchase there. My experience was great except that after buying all my appliances there I ended up with a hood that really didnt work well with the cooktop (it was way too deep to work with my counter installed cooktop). They wanted to charge me 50% restocking fee! I ended up talking them down to 25% which still sucked.
I have a very small space for a washer/dryer. The delivery people: Ivan, Tamir and Mario were wonderful. Very helpful and I am totally pleased.
We had some bumps in the road to getting our appliances but I would recommend Friedmans and our sales rep, Raj. We went in at the beginning of January and purchased 4 appliances. We got a deal I was happy with and awaited the appliances to arrive and be installed. When the installer went to pick up the appliances he discovered that only 3 were in, even though I was told all 4 arrived which is why we scheduled installation. Turns out our cooktop arrived damaged and was sent back but no one ordered a replacement. Raj got an exception to expedite an order and offered to pay the installation for that unit. The installer came to install the other 3 appliances only to discover our hood was damaged when he opened the box. So two appliances were installed, but unfortunately the dishwasher worked once and then threw an error code. Bosch had a backup to schedule service so Rag got an exception to issue us a new unit. We had to wait ~1.5weeks from the first install to the second install (for the appliances to arrive and to get on the schedule with our installer) but this time there were 3 appliances waiting for him and all were installed and work great.We now have a Bosch dishwasher, Zephyr hood, Viking cooktop, and GE wall unit microwave/oven combo.While it was frustrating to experience the hiccups along the way I will say I felt Raj was always on my side and took my frustration well and did everything he could to make the situation right. Though it will probably be a while until we buy appliances again I would definitely go back to Friedmans!
We had a problem with our refrigerator when the warranty was close to expiring. Neel worked hard to get us a replacement when we couldnt get it fixed and our new refrigerator is on its way. He returned my calls promptly and kept me in the loop through the entire process.

OUTSTANDING service from Iggy who helped us for several months where we ended up with a full Miele kitchen including a Combi steam oven, range, refrigerator and dishwasher. He had extensive experience and helped us avoid ordering things we did not need which saved us a lot of money. He was extremely knowledgeable about all things kitchen and fixtures and water filtration systems. We purchased beautiful hans grohe fixtures and a very cool bodyglove filtration and an instahot system. Iggy helped me build my dream kitchen and it was easy and painless thank you !!!!
Great showroom and sales people. Unfortunately, the good vibe stops there. They expect you to uninstall your old appliance, and install your new one. This was not the case years ago when we bought an oven, where they did everything. Now, however, they have abandoned any pretense of providing customers with a total service experience. Their delivery people were incompetent unhelpful clods. This is our last purchase at Friedmans.
I had to return the hood to my stove and mimd you it was still at the store. I had cancel the hood due finacal emergency and I paid cash for the hood well they took 2 months to refund me MY MONEY. I spent a small fortune here and they took so long refunding my money. I will NEVER buy anything here. Bad customer service too I got hung up on by a sales person. I hate this place. Dont buy anything here.
THEFT DURING DELIVERY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOTHING!! My wedding rings that I kept in the laundry room went missing during the time of Friedmans washing machine delivery last weekend. I filed a police report and called the store to report the problem and they failed to follow up. Ive called 3 times and customer service keeps saying someone will call me back but no one in management nor their delivery department returns my calls. For all I know the guy is still working for them! To top it off the washing machine wasnt installed properly and is off balance. Buyer beware during delivery!!!

The statement was you buy its yours beware not only did they fail to install the ice maker line which we paid extra for their supplies but the people or idiots refused to tell us anything. Then the water leak that went on unknown to us until the GE rep or tech arrived a week later. ruined the wall and hard wood floor under the refrigerator Friedman s refused to send help or acknowledge anything was their fault. Hung-up on me when I asked them to come get the refrigerator. I wasnt upset xxxxxxxxxxxxx. I also submitted a complaint to the BBB

Great customer service.My microwave/stove vent died. I walked in and described what I wanted in replacement. Customer service rep really knew his stuf, and even knew which models of which brands are still offered in white. Inside of 15 minutes I had ordered the microwave and installation. Turns out, the one that arrived was defective, which I learned only after installation. With no questions asked, Friedmans ordered a replacement, called the installation guy, and had a new one installed at no expense to me within 3-4 days. Fantastic. I am SO glad I didnt buy on the internet.
