Severely over priced including new and used gear (holsters, etc.). The cheapest ammo they had was .80/round for 9mm. I know ammo is expensive but it can be found online for just under half of that. I can buy online, pay to ship, transfer elsewhere and get 3 boxes for LESS than what it would cost me to buy 2 boxes from this store.I was charged 100 for an out of state transfer which I thought was a little steep. Competitors in the area can be quickly found for $75 after a quick google search -- unfortunately I didnt google search this before and just winged it. The guy that owns the place acted like he was giving me a deal saying their usual fee was $150 for a transfer (ya, ok bud). At this point they have all the power and if you want your product you are at their whim or you likely pay (and wait) for your items to ship back and forth to another FFL.After transferring my gun (bought online) and paying all the ludicrous fees (including my transfer, firearm license, sales tax and DOJ) I STILL came out spending less that their STICKER price for the exact same gun (Glock 17). That should give you an idea of how over priced they are. This place is an absolute joke and I will not being going back. Buying a gun in CA sucks enough, dont make it worse by going here. I cant recommend against this place enough. Even the inside was heinous and messy with junk laying around everywhere.Their one saving grace was that the woman who helped me with my paperwork was pleasant. Somehow that was the most enjoyable part of my experience throughout the whole process -- giving my data to the feds.0/10 I dont recommend.
Just called about doing a ppt for a factory sig mcx pistol. They told me its illegal which I know it is not. The pistol has been registered in CA and is fully compliant. They should probably have their staff study up a bit on CA laws.
The staff at City Arms East are Phenomenal! I am a first time purchaser, of a gun. All the staff were knowledgeable and so helpful. There was a large selection of guns and rifles compared to any of the other three gun shops I had visited that day. Great job guys and gal. I shall return to do all my business at this armory. 👍🇺🇸
I had a really great experience here. I had a few questions and their staff was really patient and informative. Absolutely no pressure from the sales person. I was really impressed with their selection. I am really happy with my purchase.
Came here after trying Canyon Sports where they had very poor service. Owner and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Lots of inventory. Quick and easy process. We will be back!
DONT SPECIAL ORDER GUNS FROM HERE!I ordered a shotgun 4 months ago (even paid extra for a different style because I was told it would arrive 4 weeks sooner), was told it would arrive in 4 weeks, never heard back. I had to call and they said they forgot it never arrived and blamed it on covid delays. Okay. Thats fine. Waited another few months and still no word. Finally called today and the guy tells me it came in a month ago but they never called me because they put my benelli shotgun paperwork in a Winchester rifle box. How?! He couldnt tell me. I guess they think being busy is an excuse for being horribly disorganized. When he processed my refund he didnt even have proof of the extra I paid. Luckily I had my receipts still. If you ever go here, dont special order a gun from them. Theyre not organized enough to keep track of the hundreds of dollars youll pay for it. Took my refund to a different armory and was able to start my 10 day waiting period same day because everywhere has more selection than this place with Much better service.Edit: My boyfriend went in when I was working to check on the status of it and was offered a different shotgun if I paid even more so he told the shop owner he would talk to me about it because I was the one who paid for it. Apparently the shop owner put my Benelli shotgun paperwork in a Winchester Rifle box and is trying to blame me for them misplacing my special order form. Theyre trying to twist the story to make them not seem as disorganized as they actually are. Highly unprofessional! Why I never received a call in 4 months from this shop about the gun I paid for? I do not know.
Go in with some knowledge. Do your research. I first went in not knowing anything, they werent much help. I left did my research and went back, everything changed. They were helpful! I asked the right questions, and they answered them. I get it, I wouldnt sell a fire arm to someone that knows nothing. Thats how people get hurt. So overall I give 5 stars. Decent prices. Decent inventory. And if they dont have it they will order it. So keep the local shop in business, respect the fire arms. I will go back most definitely. maybe today.👍
Always the best of service! The people who work there are friendly and helpful. Are willing to take time with you to answer questions or assist you in the pros and cons of any firearm. Would recommend to anyone!
Great guys, very helpful especially in these crazy days! The owners Yan and Roman took the time to answer any questions! They open until 6PM now and only enter 2 people at a time.I was able to apply for gun, run background check and take the test all in one visit. Thanks guys!
Always courteous and helpful. Prices are average but they are Will omg to negotiate some. Good store. Good people
Scam operation ownerDo not order anything thru that fraud storeThey will carge you fos special order and then will tell you ferry tailes how shipment did not come thru fedex for several month
Will NOT sell you ammo unless you buy a gun from them at the same time... Are you kidding me!?
Didn’t have anything when they opened back up after the shelter in place order. If you are going to open, make sure you have product to sell. What a waste of time. Oh yeah did I mention how rude these people were. If you have a question, don’t bother to ask. They will respond in a way that will make you regret asking.
Really do not know why there are people having issues with this dealer. Everytime i go in, whether to buy a firearm or ask about one, they have ALWAYS been very helpful towards me.
Got there at 4:20 to 2 people in line. They let them in then locked the door on my friend and I at 4:30. It was lame considering they say they close at 5. I will not come back here not will I ever suggest anyone else do.
Great folks all. Fantastic guys.
Just bought my second gun from this place. It’s a business, and they need to make money to survive, but they are very willing to spend time answering your questions unlike the other shop in town (C.S.). If your going to make a big purchase, make it from a place that you want to see around in a few years, not from a place that doesn’t care whether their own shop lasts. I trust these guys 100%
Was waiting in line an 1 1/2 hour to get inside the store., then they come out and say no more service today. come back tomorrow. with an attitude.
Check hours and call first
The bigger guy and the dark dude are really nice, so is the lady at the computer. The other white guy who is usually up front is kind of a douche. Like he’s waiting for you to ask something stupid so he can answer sarcastically and bluntly. Bad customer service from him but whatever. I dealt with the bigger dude once and felt like he was really helpful. Got my G19 from them and it’s been great. I’m usually “make it or break it” with my reviews so I’ll give them a 5 because of the great customer service from the big guy and the lady at the computer. That shorter white dude can kma and I probably won’t be going back anymore, honestly.
Horrible service! Don’t know if it has to do with me being a woman or what but really bad attitude towards me. Will not be buying my guns from them!
I have purchased 2 hand guns, and did a transfer with a pistol grip shotgun from a co-worker. Service was seamless, and staff was a great help. I recommend them any day!
Great help, friendly folks, walked people through the steps no hassel
I have purchased just about all of my firearms through City Arms East. The service is impeccable. The staff at City Arms East is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of firearms and will answer any question without making you feel like an idiot. The prices are always more than fair and competitive with what you see online. The store is clean and a pleasant environment to be in. Do not waste your time going anywhere else, this is your one stop shop for firearms and accessories in the Bay Area. Ask for Mark.
Question: With the stay-at-home order, are you sill open? If so, what are the hours? Thank you.
The staff is very helpful and nice. I bought my first fire arm from them. They helped me through the whole process. Huge selection. Great experience.
Awesome place with great selection of long guns and handguns. The staff is also extremely helpful and nice. I would definitely come back and tell others to come here too.
Disorganized store with things all over. A ton of busy sales people would not ask me if I want to see an item. Not sure if I have any other stores nearby that would offer better prices though.
I have purchased several rifles from them. Nice guys, fair price. Do your home work, know what you want and how much you should expect to pay. They have always settled on a fair price but the paperwork takes an hour.
Ive been going to City Arms East for years now and I can say without question that its the best gun shop in the area. The best selection, the best service and the most knowledgeable staff - hands down.
A bit pricey for many firearms. However the staff is good and Roman is a great guy. Always willing to do a PPT and they never give you a bad time about it. They also carry 5.45x39 ammo which can be hard to acquire.
What a bunch of high priced nothing and jerks there trying to make a sale..... no selection. ... no customer service.... no deal.... go elsewhere.I read the other posts with multiple stars and those people must be high when they go in there. Not remotely true. Plus those reviews were many months ago must have new people working there bc so the opposite of my experience.
She couldnt anwser a simple ammo question
Customer service is the worst, selection is bad and very over priced. Terrible just terrible. I urge you go somewhere else.
Bad reception and costumer service over allWas there as a tourist and asked for a new trigger assembly for my glock.the searched thou some boxes and found one, they didn’t ask which one i searched for, and just said that it was 204$I asked if it fits gen4 the clerk yeld to what a presume was the owner, and he said it fits all models, I a bit Naive trusted him, because the clerk said he was an authorized clock armorer.now home half the world around and the part don’t fit because it is for a gen 1,2 and 3 but not the gen 4.unknowing and rude.
If i could give negitive stars i would. Dont come in here expecting professionalism. They only treat you with respect if you buy their over priced guns. You want a budget gun? Well they have them, but expect them to criticize you for going with a budget gun and not what they prefer. They treated me like i was an idiot for wanting a Mossberg 30-.06.. they really tried to compare that gun to their other $1000+ guns. If i didnt want a beginners gun, i wouldnt have brought it up. Oh and dont mention you are new to the gun game. Seems like they hate noobs. These guys are whats killing interest in new gun owners, thus giving Commiefornia more reason to keep banning our guns..
These guys know EVERYTHING about guns.I bought a CZ 75sp 9mm. My 1st gun EVER.He explained everything about buying my 1st gun. I went in looking for a cool chrome gun or something, but he explained that for my (FIRST) gun go by how it feels in my hand. Makes sense LOL.Nice selection of guns as well. Im definitely going back for the Vector i saw on the wall next! RoflI tried felt out a bunch of guns but in the end the CZ was the right one.
I am 25 years old.. make very good money and love purchasing firearms. City Arms in the city of Pacifica is a fair place. no complaints there. However I decided to travel out to Pleasant Hill City Arms for the first time to see what else they had. I enter the store with a buddy I see a sig 556r which currently own and love so me returning a favor said I will buy that for you if you like it, Literally 3 mins of being in the shop im ready to buy and then before I can say a word a Fat Man with a bald head and glasses has the nerve to ask me if I was smoking pot. He said he thought he smelled it. I then let the fat man know he was an idiot. If my friend and I were to smoke pot then I assure you my reaction would be like no man but the fact that we dont smoke anything not even cigarettes and the fact that this fat guy thought he could judge us, was reason enough for me to cuss this little fat man with glasses out.. so overall no need to tolerate bullshit or deal with these slobs. take your business elsewhere if you like to find a friendly helpful environment to spend your money. As I said City arms of Pacifica has been fair and better selection, have bought 15 firearms from there in the past.
Love this store. Bought two (2) Glocks, no pressure, easy to deal with.
They helped me test fire an old mosin nagant rifle and helped me out with my first steps.
Not a good experience. These guys are like the used car salesmen of the gun industry. Don’t tell me that I can keep a flash hider and a vertical fore grip on my 2018 AR and still keep it legal when I already knew it isn’t. You give these guys one inkling that you’re a novice buyer and they try to sell you a used Yugo.
Favorite gunshop! Feels like home!
Ey You walk in they ignore you when, well I know why, but Im not going there
Horrible customer service. Go anywhere but here you will wait forever and get the run around. Owner is not friendly and nobody knows what they are doing
Fair prices and honest staff.
Place is really overpriced if your going to buy a gun for the first time dont buy it there look around you might find the same gun for 125.00 cheaper true story
Its just to expensive
Good place, nice people.
Exelent, the best
Staff not too friendly
Love this store
Good service. Very caring. High efficiency. Praise
