The Sewing Basket is a must stop at on your next road trip. The shop offers a wide variety of fabrics, notions, patterns (Elayne & Sharol have many original Sewing Basket patterns) & always new shop smokes. You will not be disappointed!

This is such a lovely shop! The ladies there are all extremely helpful, kind, and encouraging when starting new projects. If you don’t know exactly what you’re looking for, they’ll be sure to help! The fabrics they have are very high quality and easy to work with, and so are all of their other products. I highly recommend getting your crafting materials from here!

It was worth the 90 minute drive from Madison for their service on my Brother VQ3000 machine! Its like new, or even better. Service was fast, reasonably priced, and the staff was friendly and helpful. In previous service visits before we moved to Wisconsin, they never cleaned the OUTSIDE of the machine as well. Today I wondered if they made a mistake and gave me a brand new one, but its definitely mine. Thank you, Sewing Basket!

I absolutely love this shop. People there are so friendly and helpful. The store is large and is very clean with a huge selection of inventory. Projects are displayed nicely throughout the store for ideas. Any quilter would be impressed.

Wonderful shop, they have been great during this pandemic and having to be closed. They have a daily dose segment every day that gives you tips and patterns and ideas that really keeps you going. I can call them with an order and it comes in the mail the very next day. I have learned so much from them and they have really kept me going during this stressful time. I give them the highest rating possible and hope everyone will check this store out in the near future.

I needed to make a quilt in 12 days for a retiring co-worker, and needed a golfing theme. Elayne grabbed paper and colored markers, each color representing a color that would be in my quilt. It was so cool; Elayne and I picked out white fabric with little circles that looked like dimples of the golf ball, green with similar circles for the fairway, fabric with golf clubs abound. Elayne took scraps of fabric and started making what my golf ball would look like. She did all my quilt math for me, not only the golf balls, but all fabrics surrounding the golf balls. The finished quilt was a big hit with the recipient and my co-workers. The Sewing Basket doesnt just sell you fabric, they take the time to help you create your project so you feel confident about starting it once you get home.

This is a wonderful quilt shop, great selection and very helpful, enthusiastic and friendly owners and staff. I’ve had many great experiences here, two in particular stand out. One occasion I purchased fabric I loved but mentioned I was not sure how I would use it as it was an unusual print, and Elayne took the time to sketch out a few ideas for me to take along. My last visit there, I got great help from Kerry, I had questions about fabric for a kaleidoscope quilt I wanted to make and she took me around the store showing me suitable fabrics and gave tips on the construction of the quilt. After leaving me to browse, she tracked me down after she thought of a few more ideas and showed me some quilts in progress. I left the store with fabric and plenty of inspiration!This staff here is always ready to help but happy to let me browse on my own, which I like very much. And now that the store is temporarily closed to in person shopping due to the pandemic, they have made their website a wealth of information and cheerful inspiration.I highly recommend Sewing Basket!An update on 9-16-2020We moved about 2 hours from The Sewing Basket and so I decided to try ordering online. There was a really nice selection online, and I placed an order. I was very pleasantly surprised when the order was delivered the very next day. The fabric I received was exactly as expected, the photos online were very accurate. Love this quilt store!

Rude to me. As a local quilter and longarm owner, I’ll go to Manitowoc or Green Bay from now on. To decide to “allow” my 6-pound service dog (who was in a sling) is NOT your decision. Then you straight-up say you don’t have the motif I was seeking. (Bicycles)#Unfriendly #Unhelpful #ADAignorant

A+ business! Customer focused. I first explored with my sister in law from WA State. We were both bowled over! She said friends in the PNW would die for a shop like this! The building adds to the ambiance but it is the owners and the staff added to the great inventory, the attention to change and updating that make this a must stop destination for others and a routine stop for locals. Therapy for the soul to browse and look as long as your senses can take it in. Help in finding what you might need and always a helping hand in finding things you never realized would make your creating better. Definitely worth the stop and a must to make it regular. So much fun. The ladies were super helpful, not just with my fabric needs, but also other shops to check out in the area. Definitely coming back. The layout of the store is so shoppable.
