I had a hitch installed and was a little hesitant because it was U-Haul not the dealership, but I am so thankful I went here to get my hitch on my Outback. I did everything online and was a little worried about the whole thing because you didnt get to talk to anyone. When I got there it worked out super smooth. It only took them a few hours and there customer service was top notch. A huge shout out to Brianna and the general manager for making it all come together stress free.

We had almost made it back to Blackfoot from vacation in Vegas when our car died. We were stranded on the freeway on the hook for a tow to the dealer and no way to get home.It’s the rental car apocalypse and nothing is open, let alone available, so we turned to uhaul.We setup the reservation and took an Uber to the location and the app was being frustrating. We spent 15 minutes fighting our phone and the website when the general manager just happened to walk by, and notice us struggling. It was well after business hours and he opened the store just for us to get us the key. This guy is a freaking HERO.

The guy over the counter was either stupid or pure evil. I rented a 9 van and drove it to take some stuffs from ISU mail center to Ridge Crest and returned the vehicle within 1 hour. The total driven mileage was not more than 7 miles (probably less than this). However, that guy charged me for 14 miles and 3 gallons of gas. I told him that he is miscalculating but he insisted me to pay for what he calculated. Do not forget to take photos of mileage and fuel indicator before renting from this place.

They put on custom hitches, which is what won my business over. I have a Honda Odyssey, and the Honda dealership wanted an arm and a leg for the hitch. U-Haul was much more reasonable. Kudos to them. The staff are kind and helpful as well. I also dropped my rental truck off to them when I moved to Pocatello and had no problems.

UPDATE:I recently needed another truck to move some furniture out of storage. The guy that helped me was fantastic in making sure my needs were met. I dealt with him on a few different occasions during the process and he was great all the way around. Bumped to 5 stars from 4 after this experience.I will note that they seem to be grossly understaffed at this location. The poor guys seem to be running nonstop all day, and wait times can be a little longer as a result. They really need to hire a few extra hands...ORIGINAL 4-STAR REVIEW:In general, my recent experience with U-Haul in my move from Salt Lake City to Pocatello was not fantastic. Had to reschedule vehicles and then I was instructed to go to the wrong location. This location didnt give me any problems though. They offer after-hours rental drop-offs, which is a great feature. I took advantage of it, they checked in the vehicle the next morning and I got a prompt confirmation that my rental was closed out. Could not have gone more smoothly at this location, but again, U-Haul in general was a below-average experience for me.

I rented a large truck for moving my sisters family across town. U-Haul was very fair pricing wise, and extremely quick. There was no wait when I arrived - I called ahead of time to make the reservation and basically went in to pay and left with keys in under ten minutes. The person working that day was very informative about what time I needed to have the truck returned, and also gave me solid pricing on what it would cost to add an extra day if the move took longer or how much it would be to add a utility dolly. (I asked a lot of questions.)I really appreciated that no one tried to up-sale me on boxes, packing tape, packing peanuts, etc. I declined the additional insurance coverage, but I didnt get the hint that anyone was going to try to hold me for any of the previous dents and scratches in the truck.Drop-off was lightning fast too. I basically pulled up and let them know I was there - they hopped in and checked the mileage, saw that the truck had been cleaned out, and I was on my way.Parking here is a little tight and there are few spaces. Recommended to have someone drop you off!

I reserved a motorcycle trailer by phone and was told I would not have to go in the store to pick up the trailer. When I got there and phoned, the manager told me I had to come in the store. I was also told that I could take the trailer without purchasing an adapter for lights because the taillights on my truck could be seen. I have an old style light plug in and no adapter is available. I have had trouble in the past with UHAUL tapping into my wiring to hook up lights, so I didnt want to have to go through replacing wiring again! Needless to say, after I went in their store to do paperwork and found out they wouldnt let the trailer off the lot without lights, I left without the trailer. I could have saved myself possible exposure to COVID - 19 if the person I talked to on the phone had of been honest. I will NEVER do business at the UHAUL on 5th St, in Pocatello again. I advise anyone who is concerned about contracting COVID - 19 STAY AWAY!!!!

Went there today to get a propane tank filled. Rang the bell. Waited. Waited. No one came. Guy outside working didn’t even acknowledge me. Went inside ... waited for help. Nothing. Won’t go there again horrible customer service. Told guy there behind me getting several tanks filled. Told him he might be waiting there all day. We both went to tractor supply. Got help right away plus they were very friendly. I’ll recommend everyone to skip u Gaul

This place is straight up garbage! Worst srvice / personnel under one roof!!

They have been really good at ensuring we have a moving truck and making sure that we have it for enough time. They seem very understaffed though. Every time I go in, there is one person ahead of me and it takes forever to get in and out because there is one person working. The staff is always nice and friendly despite this.

Most of the time this place is great. The main downside is all their trailers require a strange light plug (not the common 7 plug or 5 plug. I think is a flat four or something) so I feel like they just love ripping people off my almost making them by really expensive plug adaptors in their store. Do yourself a favor and find out what adapter you need and get one online. Youll save money!

I just wanted to thank the U haul pocatello Idaho store and Rogan Morris and his team for such awesome customer service I had a small problem, they didnt just go the extra mile they went an extra 10 miles to help me out and make sure that everything was good. I will keep coming back and refer my friends and family there!

When you rent you need a lot of money for the deposit. Also, they tend to get their billing all messed up.And dont bother asking for road assistance. Their is none. However the people are very friendly and helpful.

The staff members here are helpful, but there is always a line because they only have one person working the front desk at any given time. The propane refill is a good deal, but it can take a while for it to get done for the aforementioned reason.

I had a hitch installed on my car. While I do I looked at bike racks. I had several questions and the guys were great researching the answers.

I made a reservation for a cargo van I was going to pickup up Tuesday afternoon. When I showed up to the Uhaul store, there was no one at the front counter and about 3 customers just sitting around on the packaging boxes they sell. The place was completely abandoned! After waiting for about thirty minutes, I decided to leave as no representative ever showed up. The next day I go to fill my reservation and tell the manager...whos name is Rogan, about my experience the day before. He gives me excuses about somebody quitting last minute. Okay, I get it, stuff happens. I give him my drivers license and credit card info to get the van. Rogan then tells me he needs the number of someone that knows me. Huh, but ok. He proceeded to call the number, but since it went to voicemail he said he wouldnt rent me the van. I have rented from uhaul many times and this is the first instance of a manager saying he needed to talk to a friend or family member before he would fullfil a reservation. I just walked out and got a van from home depot instead. I suggest if you have any other means of moving furniture...you use it!

We were charged 100 for a local moveWhich is not what we were quoted on the phone. In all my years in the military I was moved around a lot and I always depended on uhaul, after such a horrible experience I am not going to come back ever. be careful of this location

Kasey, the only employee onsite when we arrived at noon did a great job with handling himself in a crappy situation. Another staff member...female came in...did something on the computer up front for about 10min then left. She didnt offer to assist. Customers had to order lunch while they waited for over an hour. We have waited also for over an hour. Great job Kasey! Boo on the staffing issues.

Understaffed, very very slow, unprofessional, did not call me when they needed to reschedule an appointment to install a hitch. I drove to pocatello and wasted two days waiting for them to do an installation they told me would take 3 hours. Just go to a different location.

This place has a great policy if you dont have a credit card available they will let you give them a $100.00 cash deposit they will hold until you bring the truck back then they will take their fee out of the deposit and give you back the remaining change jusjust be sure to sweep out theback of the truck and refill the gas tank they will charge you extra if you forget to do this and their gas is expensive

I pulled in and dude went straight to another person started chatting and laughing. Come to find out it wasnt even a customer. I was promised a bottom floor storage unit and he insisted that i need to pay more and it was a second level unit so I said never mind. All in all worst experience Ive ever had with a rentle location
