I had the best experience EVER! After searching online at different sites, wasting time and money I found myself making a 45 minute trip to the bike store I use to shop at when I lived on the area. I explained the trouble I was having finding the appropriate size bicycle cover that would cover my bike completely. He found one and ordered it for me. When it came in he mailed it to me. I put it on and it was perfect! The material is heavyweight well made and very strong. My bike will be well protected outside year round now. THANK YOU SO MUCH!Karen
Great local business Chris is the best treats every bike like its going on the tour de France you wont find a better shop!!# shop local
Whether you are looking to purchase a new bike or need your current bike to be serviced, this is the place you will want to go. Chris, the owner, is very knowledgeable, fare, provides superb service, and the best prices around. Take it from me, his shop is worth the stop.
Wonderful place, the owner Kris is very helpful in helping you make the best decisions for what you need and he will not steer you wrong. Chris has been involved with bikes since he was a kid and he knows his stuff when it comes to bikes and everything it goes with it I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a bike
Dropped off my bike for a tune up and they found a crack in the frame. They contacted the company for warranty and kept me informed through the whole process, which the bike company did not make easy. Once they received the replacement bike I was happily surprised with how quick they had it ready for me. Great service!
Chris is great! He’s always helpful, gives very fair pricing, has let me borrow tools, and remembers my first and last name despite me only going in there about once every two years.
This is my husbands account but it’s not my husband giving this review it’s his wife. Been going off and on to Point Bicycle on Bridge Avenue since the 90s. The guy who worked there was always a little intimidating and angry but it was the only game in town. Now that I’m 55 and he’s in his new location I took a bike there for servicing two months ago the front tire was useless completely flat couldn’t put air in it. Not only was he intimidating and confrontational when I brought it in, but I couldn’t even pick it up I had to have my husband do it because I was so distraught by how he treated me. We were charged $85 and after it was home I test rode it twice for five minutes, put it in the garage and three weeks later Went out to ride it and the front tire was flat again. I knew it wasn’t right. I knew that they could’ve fixed it the first time. I knew it just didn’t need air. But what do I do? I already don’t want to go back. But I did today. It took me a long time to bring this bike back, I was fighting with whether to sell it or take it somewhere else or whatever.I’m not sure why I didn’t take it somewhere else I guess I figured in my fantasy that maybe they would see that they should’ve fixed it right the first time? They charged me $22 without a care in the world and didn’t even think twice about maybe they didn’t do a good job when they serviced it two months ago. I guess I’m finished completely I guess I’m finally done with them. I’m not gonna be treated like this I’m not gonna be talked to like I’m an idiot and I’m not gonna have a confrontation every time I bring a bike in for service. I’m finally done. Good luck to anybody who goes here. Especially women, you’re going to be treated poorly. I’ve been riding in tours since the 90’s. I know bikes, I know that tires that are flat when you bring them in for service shouldn’t be flat in two months for no reason. But apparently this guy needs money and there’s no allegiance to customers who have put up with him for years. Rest In Peace Point Bike Shop.
Fantastic service, reasonably priced, Ill definitely be back for service.
It’s a great place to buy and service all your bicycles.
The address is wrong on Google Maps, so I went to another bicycle shop for bike repair. The other place, which is close to Bay Head on Bridge than Point Pleasant Bike, repaired both of my bicycles for $20 including a new intertube on a Schwinn Stingray while I waited-- 10 minutes and it was done.Lesson Learned? business owners should make sure their contact info is correct on Google Maps, its the new Yellow Pages.
Bikes were completed when promised, high quality work!
Service was excellent, gave me a few more years on my 12 year old mountain bike for a fair price.
