The waitress was awful at her job, couldn’t be bothered to do anything and gave us attitude whenever we asked her to bring out ketchup or for a refill. The burger meat on the patty melt looked like something out of a high school cafeteria. Worst diner in the area go to the princess Maria or the rainbow diner if u want quality good priced food.
Owner and staff are really nice. Service is really good. Food is pretty good with the menu being what youd expect at a diner.This used to be my go to place in town when I wanted to eat late at night. I dont really go here as much as I used to since they changed their hours to only be open until 10pm. They didnt seem to get much business around that time though so I cant really complain.
Ordered Pork chops with Applesauce, veggie, and a baked potato. Came with a soup or salad. Waitress said that soup was bag get the salad. Waitress came back and said no baked potatoes left so I got fries. Food came out without Apple sauce and veggies asked and said they don’t have Apple sauce. Never got my veggies. Started to eat my pork chop but it was terrible. Meal came with dessert and I got chocolate pudding. Came back with rice and said they don’t make chocolate anymore. Overall experience- don’t recommend.

The chicken soup was inedibly salty. The waitress had some bs excuse about the chef being El Salvadoran but noted that this wasnt the first complaint about the over salty soup. Found 36 reviews that mention trash soup. The waitress knows so mgmt must know- they gave us a slice of cake for complaining about it. My quesadilla was adequate. However my appetizer came out after the main dish??? The first bite of my stuffed mushroom (appetizer) was good, but that became salty too! I ate the leftover over rice at home. It sufficed, but as for this joint; -Dont bother- This is exactly what reviews are for; to spare you the frustration, disappointment, and wasted time.

I purchased a quesadilla I was so very surprised. When the quesadilla came out it was soft I have never experienced that in my life and Ive eaten several. It was fresh it was just made it was phenomenal I was extremely satisfied.
Staff was not really nice. Waitress asked for your drinks and we hadnt even sat down. Took our order and never returned until she gave is the check. Understandably she was alone. Service and food could have been a bit better

Has changed ownership a bunch of vc times. No more Greeks, now it is owned by Asians. We were asking about Greek food, and it was not available. Why not take it off the menu or get new menus? Seems more run down than before. Food was OK, service was OK.
Went there to pick up a order. When I walked in saw a sign saying how they were shorthanded and to please understand. I understand that problem in alot of places.my issue was as I stood there waiting 2 different waiters walked past me numerous times and didnt even acknowledge that I was there. Finally after about 10 minites one of them said are you being helped. I said no and he asked what I needed and walked away, he checked on my order and did come back to say it would be a couple more minutes again no issue when I was finally helped . issue with how long it took for someone to acknowledge that I was standing in front of this place and they just ignored me..terrible customer service.
@the Ob dinner. Too lazy to put butter on bothe sides of toast? Guess the amount they put on the one is enough. 45 mins for food that comes out cold. Just the food not worth it... Waiter doesnt even care I have told him this is the worst experience I have ever had.
Went here today. Place was basically empty and it was nice and clean. Staff was kind and service was pretty fast. Food was good but kind of cold. I would give it another try.
Best Diner I have ever been to. If I could give it 100 stars I would. Beautiful atmosphere and the BEST food Ive had in a long time. The country fried steak with white sausage gravy is spot on. It comes with a salad, vegetable, mash potatos and a bread pudding for dessert plus you get 2 country fried steaks. Staff is wonderful and its just a wonderful experience. This diner has the largest menu Ive ever seen. No meed to eat anywhere else they cover it all.
Well its actually quite unbelievable. I ordered a Chicken Caesar wrap and received a wrap with only chicken in it, literally just chicken, i was shocked. The fries were not fully cooked and still cold in the middle. Save your money, go elsewhere.

This is a small established diner, but the food was pretty good. I had the Cajon Salmon with steamed broccoli and seasoned rice. The waitresses are very friendly and talkative.
The waitress that seated us gave the impression we were bothering her. She had a mask on protecting her chin, I thought she might have just forgotten. That was not the case she continued to walk around without it.Our waitress was great and pleasant.The food came, a great disappointment. I had mashed potatoes with mine and they were ice cold. Very disappointed.The staff did not enforce mask compliance with guests, with the new restrictions being announced, you would think it would be a priority.To be blunt, I will never come here again. So sorry but there were way to many things wrong!

Ordered through door dash. order was sooo messed up. lucy, the manager, said she only followed the instructions given. but half the instructions were carried out (ironically the ones that she had to charge me for) and the other half (bagel untoasted no butter) came to me burnt and DRIPPING in butter. normally i wouldnt care, but my son is autistic and a very picky eater and i cant feed him that (nor is it in any quality to be served generally). i have to go to door dash now and hope they refund me for her ignorance. from what i understand, she was also extremely rude to the door dash driver. considering this was well over $40 of my money wasted, lucy better believe that if door dash cant come through, she will be hearing from me again.
Ive been going to this diner for several years now and the food is great. A nice establishment for diner quality food for those that want a diner experience in NJ. The portions for food is quite a bit so youll probably be going home with a good amount of food for later. However, services are great and respectful and considering the pandemic effecting restaurants there service has still been great with good takeout ordering for those that want diner food on the road.

There is nothing redeeming about this place.We went here after the Jenkinsons aquarium with a friend who said this was a great diner with great food. I LOVE diners, and just about all diners have something for everyone and are delicious, but not this one.From the outside this place looks depressing and the inside isnt too much better. Whatever, as long as the food is good its fine. Today is Valentines day and a Sunday and when we walked in the place is completely dead, maybe 2 other tables in the place. I know this wouldnt be a hot date night spot or anything, but I would expect a diner to have maybe some regulars in the restaurant. But it was pretty dead quiet, which is a give away that something was up.The staff didnt even make an attempt to look happy to be there and our server was strange and awkward. Every interaction we had with her was bizarre. The awkwardly stared at us while we settled into the booth and waited awhile to get our drink orders. I went to use the restroom and when I came back my 5 year old was served her water in a tall glass for an adult and of course she is spilling it everywhere trying to drink out of it. To make it worse I noticed the inside of the glass was filthy. I asked the waitress for a kids cup for her, she looks confused and walks away. She doesnt return. I ended up going up to the cash register and asking for a kids cup for my daughter, which our server finally brings out but it has dirt all over the outside of it. Cool.We all ordered breakfast food which took over half an hour to come out, and wasnt very good. My fiances omelette was inedible, he goes to send it back and our server makes a huge deal about it instead of just fixing the issue. I worked as a server....when a customer sends back a dish offer to replace it or take it off the bill, you dont have to argue about it.If this was a good place to eat I would say the prices were reasonable but the quality in the food is severely lacking. The employees look absolutely miserable, I dont expect every member of staff to be walking on sunshine but they all looked sad and hated their lives, so it makes me question how this ppace treats them.I wont be coming back here, you can find better places elsewhere. Im sure from past reviews this place once was a great place to eat but that time is long gone. Avoid.
The food is excellent but I prefer to sit outside but the outside was closed .To many people and it seems short of waitresses or waiters. Overall I give it 5 stars for food and 2 stars since staff seemed short.

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. We placed an over $80 delivery order. The food was completely subpar. Ordered biscuits and gravy, biscuits were hard and stale and what little gravy there was, was too salty to even eat. Ordered a side of extra gravy for $2.50, received literally 1/8 full of a 6 ounce Styrofoam cup for that price, was an ounce if that. Ordered a single scrambled egg for $2.25, received it cold and rubbery. Grandsons hamburger was nothing but meat and bread, no mayo, ketchup, etc, and NO lettuce, tomato or anything. Just dry overcooked meat and stale bun. We were shorted the drinks for my grandkids meals and when we called they only offered a credit for next time we order. THERE WILL BE NO NEXT TIME!!! What a rip off.

Have been there a few time now. Gyro is excellent!!! Have also had the buffalo chicken wrap which was great too. Waitresses are always nice and the place is clean.

Sorry to say the food isn’t really that good the service is really bad and for some reason the staff look very dirty to me. Staff and kitchen workers were not wearing face coverings properly their masks were up down on off all over the place. Never again!!
Clean bathroom, good food most of the time. Had asked for a burger well done, ate half of it and then realized it was medium/rare at best. Didnt get sick or have any problems from it, just grossed me out. They took it off the bill.
I deliver for door dash. Front door has a sign that says “WEAR A MASK - IT’S MANDATORY”. The staff inside literally coughed on the desserts in the display case with their mask under their chin. If that’s front of house, I can only imagine how gross back of house is.

Its a typical diner, which isnt bad. I would stay away from the tomato sauce, its got a weird taste. The reason its 3 stars is because its a good diner, but it has its Things to Stay Away From and nothing that stands out so much that I would have to go there. But if youre in the area, this is not a bad place to stop.
Have been going to the ob diner for years and am greatly disappointed. Never have I ever been served a raw onion where fungus actually grew on it. That is a health hazard that could make someone incredibly ill. As someone who has been in the restaurant industry for a long time. I can personally tell you that if an onion is growing fungus, so is something else and they probably don’t date or transfer their items correctly. Besides the major health hazard they could not even make my order correctly cheese burger medium? How about way over well done, Disco fries with gravy on the side, Covered in gravy, Fries undercooked and raw. And to sharpen the sword the bacon egg and cheese had no cheese was soggy and for some reason had ham. My advice to the owners of this place fire your chef. One he isn’t checking what he is making he is lazy, not trained and not good enough to be serving food made to be consumed by humans. This is just sad, quality control of this type is really not that hard. Make your food correctly. Don’t give rotten food out. Get above 4 stars maybe I’ll come back. Until then goodbye.

This is a typical NJ diner with the accompanying variety on the menu. I ordered breakfast for dinner as did my companion. We were not disappointed. My French toast was good and they made the perfect crispy bacon. My companion had eggs Benedict and his version had a sausage Patty on it. The hollandaise was a bit odd looking, but tasted good. All in all a good place. One star taken off because the prices are a bit high.

This was such a great and busy diner when it reopened. Food was fabulous and salads and soups were delicious. It has went completely down the toilet, my salad yesterday was hot and the chicken was cold. Completely backwards. Soup was very bad. Shame on the OB. Never coming back.

I have worked at the OB for over a year now. We have a family atmosphere with amazing fresh quality foods. The new owners treat us all with care and respect. All our meats and fish come in daily and we have all fresh produce. Come in and join us for a great dining experience

Went for the first time on a Saturday morning for breakfast. Was surprised by how empty it was. Liked the space & decor although it looks somewhat dated. Very lovely & attentive waitress who was on top of things but not overpowering! Typical diner menu with ‘too many’ options ;) Food was served super quickly and was tasty & plenty. Coffee & water refills came without even asking - again, great service! Will go again for sure!!
The service here was horrible. The waitress was so rude. She didnt say hello. She just kinda stared at you. Took the order. Walked away. Dropped the food off and was about to run from the table and I had to quickly ask for ranch dressing. She didnt tell us to enjoy the meal. Went back for ranch dressing and didnt come back for about 5-7 minutes. Dropped it on the table and left. 15 minutes later dropped the check. Didnt ask how anything was. Didnt ask if we needed more water. Didnt ask if we needed anything else. Best yet, didnt even say thank you.
The server was wonderful. She is friendly and very tentative. 👍 The food was good. 👍 Unfortunately, I did not hang around to finish my coffee because there were small gnats, or something similar, sabotaging my breakfast. Flying around and landing on my cup of orange juice. Not good. And as for the rude lady at the register ...cant you can put your cell phone down for 20 seconds to properly complete a transaction with your customer? Very rude and inappropriate behavior for someone who should be having some sort of positive communication and hopefully convey a small amount of appreciation which might influence another future visit to this diner. But, I am afraid that idea has been lost with this person. Sad.

Horrible soup that came with dinner. Management is completely oblivious as to what is being served. There was two tables in the diner and took 25 minutes for the waitress to come to me. Chicken parmigiana dinner was over cooked and stringy pasta. Sad to say this was once a great diner a few years ago.

I was just in the ob diner tonight! i came in after my shift at my job around 12:30 and my waitress was jackie. i had such an amazing experience, i love coming in here. the staff is so much fun. i only come in at night because i think that the night staff is so much more happy and engaging. i will continue to come here for a long long time
I come to OB diner after work with my coworkers all the time, tonight being one of the nights. Josh was my server and he was great. He was super nice and personable!! I look forward to going to OB diner after a stressful night at work because the night staff not only gives us great service but theyre just a great time. Definitely one of my favorite places to go out to eat!!

Went down to Point pleasent to see the races today. I have been going for years to the races. Rain date no good. Stopped at the Ob for late lunch. Well as usual ordered my diner meal. Corned beef Reuben. Corned beef was green and smelled. Obviously was no good. The only good part of the meal was the fries. Waitress was nice, completely clueless of the food, but nice.
I think if I could give no star it would be better, but I have to give at least one star. The FOOD completely was gross. Been coming to the Shore 40 years, always stop at the OB. Was better just a few years ago. New Management and stinks. Chicken Parm dinner was utterly gross, rock hard and the sauce was horrible. Pasta was under cooked. The dessert was horrific. Never again coming here.

Classic NJ Shore Diner. Redone few years ago so it looks great. I dont really know what they were going for with the decor in the place however. Odd sticks of different colors just well looks like,. I will leave it up to you.. LoL.
Ive been going to OB since I was a kid, and man has it gone downhill. We got disco fries that came cold with chunky gravy and unmelted cheese. I had ordered a grilled cheese for mine, which arrived with the wrong cheese, unmelted, on buttered bread that wasnt toasted. The grilled cheese also arrived after everyone elses meal. Im not sure what happened to this place, but after multiple bad experiences of eating here Im not going back.
We were hesitant to head here as the reviews are so low - but we took a chance and were not disappointed! Service top notch and REAL hash browns... And pumpkin pancakes to die for! This place was fabulous I have no idea what the rest of your complaining about!
