An excellent local hard ware store. They’re all very friendly and have an excellent selection. I highly recommend going there. Very convenient. They have great hours as well.

So, Ace Hardware. Well, Ace may be the Place but at the Beaver Dam location, the folks ringing at the register do not seem to agree. I have only spoken with one young lady who seemed upbeat and pleasant. The rest were sullen, and what I can only call unresponsive. The store itself has some unique items, also often has the soil or gardening tool I cant find anywhere else. I am a shopper who always finds something to buy while waiting in line to purchase the items for which I originally came. It usually makes me happy and talkative to discover a unique gadget but I have never been able to rouse a smile or reaction from the cashier.The store is small and a bit difficult to maneuver in but I know you can get assistance, just ask. The guys outside have always been helpful also. The flowers that are selling in the front in Spring and Summer are most often in hanging planters or large standing planters. There is a small selection of young plants to transfer into your garden. Ace is a bit on the expensive side but if I can not find the soil I need anywhere else I am glad to find it there. Again, I am always pleased by the selection of odd and unusual items I find there. That is probably one of their biggest draws for me. Also, if you sign up for their Rewards card, they will send through snail mail, valuable coupons that are actually worth using. $5.00 off is a good one, right? And the others are timely, such as money off soil in Spring or Weed and Feed in Spring and Fall, hoses in Summer. So, overall, a good thing is Ace Hardware, if only they could get some cheery elves to work the register.🧝‍♂️🧝‍♀️

Today, i had a great experience. i go to the smaller stores since i like the fact that i can get help particularly in a hardware store. a few times in the last month at BDH, the people i asked didnt want to be bothered which was discouraging. one young man told me he didnt know anything, he had only been there a week. clearly, he either wasnt trained in customer service or didnt want to help. theres a taller guy with a red, white and blue mask that told me to just read the directions on the bag. he wad just rude. that was last week.i was asking how to use a spreader. a nice man who was closing up last Sunday was more than willing to show me, but the spreader was put away. i told him, no problem, Ill come back. today, a nice tall young man kindly assisted me and showed me how to use it and also helped me out with another question i had. As it should be and I was very pleased. the young lady at the door was helpful too. perhaps a refresher on customer service for all employees would be helpful but today was a great experience.

Meh... I place thousands of online orders while still trying to support local mom and pop shops; however, Ill pass on this one...They should treat the customers a little better.I needed things that wouldve saved me a trip to the big box stores on 3 separate occasions over the past few years. Every time I called, they were fairly rude; rude enough for me to write a review when google asked me.Im sure many of you love this establishment; nonetheless, Ill just purchase my items elsewhere.🤷🏻‍♂️

Used to be a nice local hardware store. Since the pandemic and being in high demand they have lost there sense of customer service. They treat you now like they can care less if you come back or not. And for some reason you cant even return anything now until further notice. High demand=cocky business which =acting like every other franchise where customer service just doesnt matter anymore.

I ordered a Weber grill and wanted as soon as possible. We agreed on a date and that they would deliver sooner if possible even if I wasn’t home. I let them know where I wanted it and that they had to be careful because I just had a new sod lawn installed. Much to my surprise they delivered earlier than I expected, placed it where I wanted it and connected it to my tank sitting on my deck without me asking. It would need difficult for me to attach it. I am so happy with their customer service.

They got everything you need and the prices are like home depot or lowes.Right up the street!

Every time I think I can stump them they have what I need, at worst they have it in 24 hrs. Great place, you dont have to park a mile away and deal with people who dont have a clue! Im lucky there near my house. Its not a lumber yard but they have most everything else.
