Honestly the short block I ordered was really well made and delivered pretty quickly, GCH was great at replying in a timely manner and answered all of my questions. The only thing that irked me was the dowel pins were not included/installed which for someone who isnt to mechanically inclined might give them a little bit of grief on installation. However that being said the break in went smoothly engine ran fine while following their suggested break in instructions. Once the block was tuned I never registered a knock even at 7k rpm under 20 PSI, so again their blocks are extremely well made and I will definitely be a return customer.

I had exchanged my EJ255 for a fresh EJ255 at GCH. The sales manager was very patient with me as I kept changing my mind on the build. I got there and they were very Covid safe, very friendly, and super helpful. Prices and terms are very fair. Any time Ive contacted them after the purchase they always respond quickly and are very helpful/informative. Highly recommend!!

Bought a motor more then happy!!!! 1st time on dyno after days worth or questions answered by GCH the car (built ej257) in a 08 sti made a easy 453hp... motor sounds and runs great. Still after my purchase they answer all questions still asked. Would highly recommend on your subi build.... will be using in the future for sure... already talking about some custom heads!

Called and retested in a long block . When I asked about core charge the young man I was talking to said $2000... when I said a few things back ( I could fined blown/rebuild ready blocks and sell them to him for a profit at that price ) he told me I’d spend all day looking and not fined a cheaper core charge. Guess what 15 minutes latter and core charge of $500 located .And now after looking at there reviews, I won’t be concerned with up charges, used parts& gaskets . Do your research, there’s a lot of bad reviews about this company .Don’t just trust google .

Purchased an upgraded stage 1 long block about a year ago. Currently pushing 430whp and 8,000 miles + into the motor. Built this motor for racing at the track and have done just that! Excellent customer service with some of the best build qualities out there. If anyone was looking into GCH for a motor Id highly recommend it!

I originally gave them a 5 star review but after doing the entire break in period i went to get on the gas hard and immediately started misfiring and throwing a cel for cylinder 4. I replaced the coil and checked the plug which was brand new and still had the problem. I then bought a brand new injector with no change. I did a compression test on the motor and was 140 cyl 1 146 cyl 2 130 cyl 3 and 122 cyl 4. I was going to call and complain but after reading the reviews their solution is driving the 1800 miles and deliver the engine back to them. I then paid a reputable Subaru shop to rebuild a brand new motor and they were disgusted with the rebuilding of this engine. For the love of god please listen to every single forum page and review and stay far away from these scam artists.

Had some head work done on my 10 legacy Gt due to engine bearing failure. Brought them to GCH to see if they were salvageable. They job they did was Amazing. seriously, ive been a mechanic @ a dealership for 20 years and had heads serviced by many machine shops and didnt even come close to what they can do. they do more than Head jobs also. check them out, you wont be disappointed. Ask for Gabe, hes the man, his brothers are stellar dudes also. Family owned.

Unbearable prices and solid customer service. They made a minor mistake with my order and corrected it very quickly and efficiently with no problem! Gabe was awesome to work with. Would definitely recommend to anyone building their car up.

I bought a B25 Sti bare right cylinder head with the option to not have port and polish, and it’s a very high quality part and meets my standards. THEY TAKE your quality parts and give you used parts. worst customer service, hidden fees were taxed on when picking up parts. the dad and son keep going back and forth with pricing, the dad says ask my son then when asked he says hold on let me talk to my dad they want to up charge as much as they can and add extra fees when picking up item. these people do not care about customer service...

These guys are a very rare hard to find honest and i mean honest superior quality shop they have the best prices in the so cal area and the work is really top notch i have their quality re maned heads on my subie and she is like new unbeliveable that i found this mom and pop shop and will put my pink slip on their work and quality any day

Save your money, do not trust these guys. Worst decision I’ve ever made and most expensive . Very poor workmanship ship, from the looks of it they have no pride in what they do. 1 star only because I had to rate these guys
