Been in there many times and the owner is always very rude. Can’t find anything. Can’t look through anything since the records are packs so tight. Station 1 is the only place I’ve shopped at since they opened. Nice people, well organized and they’re always happy to see us come through the door. The way it should be

Spent a lot of weekends in my 20’s getting schooled about good music in this place. I check in frequently to see if Dan is still running the shop, glad to see it’s still around. One of the best curated shops in the country.

Decent place. It was pretty cluttered so sometimes you were close to the other shoppers, and a little hard to search cause there are a BUNCH of records. This place has a huge amount of 45s which is probably the only reason I would go back. It is sorted pretty well and the owner knows pretty much where everything is. I see people complaining about how expensive it is but I think the prices are moderate and the same of what you would find on other places. A lot of old records but some new. Overall alright.

Great selection and decent prices, owner seems like a solid guy, but its just impossible to get around the store because its so cluttered. You want to hang there longer and really dig into a pretty amazing inventory, but youre always doing some contortions to go through all the stacks or to make room for other customers to pass. Still, a great store (and about 30x better than the place a block away from it).

Kind of overwhelming when you first walk in but once you start looking around and getting the way of the land, finding stuff becomes a lot easier. Prices are fair not great but I’ve seen a lot worse. Overall, really great selection I found everything I went in looking for just took a bit of time to figure out a tactic for finding records.

Place needs updating and decluttering but if you are looking for a specific LP and cant find it just ask the owner, he knows where it is if he has it. It is generally pricey but there are some good buys. I recently got UFO Strangers in the Night double vinyl in VG+ for $15 and Deep Purple In Rock in VG for $12. But other LPs Ive wanted are too $$, although he usually has them. His Heavy Metal section is particularly solid.

This is an amazing collection. This guy has it all. Eclectic mixture. Enjoyed our time there. We are from out of state and thought we would stop by. Well worth it.

(update) Since been back ... was planning on having a new record store to buy stuff at .... Sold me a bootleg European reprint that sounds awful with no warning ... Called to complain, no solution offered.... Wont be back

Straight up old school record store with boxes of records all over the place. Its all about the hunt here. He also has CDs, tapes and even some reel to reel tapes.

A nice variety of genres and theres plenty of good stuff the flip through. Since the store is pretty condensed, there is an overflow of records that makes it a little difficult to really dig in there. The only real critique I would have is that some worn in records seemed priced on the high side. I dont mind shelling out for a good find, but condition could be reevaluated. Overall, a decent shop. I recommend it.

Great old-school record shop thats been holding its own on the main drag of Pompton Lakes since before I was born. Packed full of records, cds, tapes and misc memorabilia, lots of unsorted crates on the floor. The owner was nice enough to help me replace the drive belt on my old turntable, I brought the platter in and he figured out which size I needed. Even showed me how to install it! Thanks!

Ive found some great records in this small but kick ass record store! Everything is tight but organized. I try to visit the store once a month. The owner is a cool guy.

Best record shop in North Jersey hands down.

Dirty old store with a nostalgic indie feeling but thats about it for me. The records are so jam packed tight you cant even flip through them to browse. You can barely walk down the aisle its so packed with boxes and records nearly spilling out of the shelves. You may get lucky and find something in the $1 or few dollar sections, but theres a reason this place is so crowded with records...hardly anyone must be buying them with the suped-up prices he wants. Ive gone here in the past and I never remember the prices being this high. I guess the vinyl trend of the past few years is to blame.

Ive gone there a few times. Always willing to give the place a second, third and forth chance. Always a bit disappointed with the high prices and hard to search for records.

Always hate giving bad reviews to record stores, but this one had 2 big issues (for me, anyway). racks were so jammed that you couldnt really browse the records. and the prices were off the charts expensive. the ones I looked at were more than Ive seen anywhere else, by quite a margin.

This place has a wide variety of music. They carry CDs, Cassettes, Vinyls (33s & 45s). Very helpful staff.
