The worst customer service! Showed up a little after 10am since their website stated they opened at 10am. The door was open and as soon as we entered an employee (owner maybe?) came up to us and said I know the website says we open at 10am, but we actually open at 11. Youre there and the door was open. Would it be that terrible to let us look around?! Probably might have been your only sale today! Needless to say we will not be patronizing your establishment! Oh, and how about fixing your website to reflect your actual business hours! As a web designer, I know its not that difficult or time consuming!
Port Angeles Antiques is now called Brocantys Antiques and it is by far the best antique store in the state of washington. Hugh selection of antiques collectables. The nicest jewelry, furnature, stained glass, record albums, glass ware, vintage toys, yard art, gems and minerals, coins, sterling, gold, platinum, tools, rare artwork so much more to mention I could go on for days. Open tuesday thru sunday 11 to 6
Lovely stores.... I was able to find new treasures
The space itself was cool. A little bit of something for everyone. But apparently this space isnt too keen on out of towners travelling and spending their money there because the owner ignored us after we said we were from elsewhere but the other shoppers who answered they were locals got a yay! and further conversation. Okay? My money spends all the same and Ill spend it elsewhere next time Im in town.
Worst customer service experience of my life. The employee behind the counter was so rude and disrespectful I cant believe it. Happy this place is closing.
This store is my favorite. The gal who runs the store is on it because she has to be. Bad decisions made by people have forced her to be hyper aware of every movement that takes place in the shop. The people who have their goods in that store and that are paying for booth space rely on her to protect their antiques. She cant leave the store unattended and let suspicious activity go by the way side. If you dont believe me watch the video from an outside camera when I guy takes a meat clever to the door of the shop to break in and steals items from the store and destroyed part of the shop, glass. This woman is protecting those who are trying to sell their antiques! The stores antiques dont belong to her, shes the shop owner. So I say cut her a break, you have no idea what she has encountered and put up with and watched happened to the store. So if she comes to talk to you dont give her the cold shoulder be open, be kind, that goes a long ways. She does have signs posted about backpacks. Maybe go talk to her and if youre worried about your passport and tablet take them out of your bag....duh. If you just go have a conversation about keeping your bag with you she may surprise you by coming up with a solution that makes you and her comfortable. Again its not her fault that people have no integrity and do bad things. How is she suppose to know the intentions of every patron. I think she is great and I would be willing to sell my things in her shop because I know she is a good guard, she works hard, she is upstanding, honest and will communicate. Take time to realize youre just going in to shop, you arent being asked to be the new guard of the store. Youre needing to respect what is posted and remember 1 bad apple spoils the bunch, you need to be mad at the people who made really bad choices making all of us shoppers look suspicious too.
Huge antique store on two levels. Both the Asian and other ladies working there were very attentive and greeted me and were very helpful. The store made me feel like I was at my parents or grandparents homes many years ago. Everything from jewellery, kitchenware, clothing, furniture, tools, sporting goods. Awesome. I saw someone else’s post about the people working there not being terribly nice. I did not find that at all and I’m glad I came.
I go there to buy coins and stuff but the sellers that rent the spots are charging to much for what they are selling. I kind of just do it cause no other options in town. The people who work there are pretty cool though even though some of the people they deal with would make you pull your hair out. Kinda over buying scrap silver coins for premium value though so sadly I have to move on. But they have lots of other cool stuff check em out
Every time we go into PA, we check out The Port Angeles Antique Mall. We always find some small treasure we cant live without. The owners are very friendly and helpful. This is a place you just cant walk in and quickly browse. You have to spend some time to find those hidden gems.
Lots of little booths filled with an eclectic mix of old and well reproductions. Have found some great items to finish some collections. Always a fun place to walk around and see what you didnt know you needed
Love to poke around here. Fun in a rainy day.
Owners, Lin and Paul Beck have wonderful items and great values. This antique mall is a friendly, fun place to visit in the lovely small town of Port Angeles, WA. There are items in every price range from Mr Smiths high end jewelry (fabulous prices), coins and Native American booths as well as super buys in mid century modern. Plus, Paul is the duty expert of local real estate!
Awesome store great service cool old junk!!
A bunch of junk! Dont waste your time! The Asian lady came all the way to the back to find my girlfriend and I to tell us she has a sale on everything in the store. She then returned to the front of the without saying one word to the other patrons in the store. Take that for what you may.
We went browsing down stairs and the owner was very rude about asking us to leave the section that was not blocked off or even had a sign posted to not enter. She proceeded to follow us up the stairs being rude. The store itself is really cool but the staff could be better.
Not very helpfu
It would be great to ever go inside this place. Its closed on Sundays and not open past 5. Doesnt help locals who work.
The Asian lady who runs this store was so incredibly rude to me that I actually cried and ran out of the store. She said she didnt want people like me in her store and that I needed to leave right away. This all because I made the mistake of wearing my backpack and not dressing up after having camped the previous three days. She yelled and scoweled at me, even threatening to call the police! I will never bother with that business again. I was humiliated.
Lots of vendors and cool stuff
Great place with a bit of small town attitude. Ive come in here 5-6 times in the past 3 months. Brother and sister in law live in Quilcene and I like to go and check out any new stuff. Same gal still doesnt remember when I ask to keep the tag on the item, its for a reason. Instead Im told to bring my.own. hmmm. Lacks customer focus.
Fine collection of random trinkets and doo-dads.
Very friendly owner who is amazing at the guitar! We were treated to some live music while browsing.
Not a lot of real antiques but a large quantity of used items to stroll through for fun.
This unique store has so much variety. I have purchased old tools and jewelry, musical instruments, funiture and all kinds of odds and ends. The old bamboo rake was a cool find for 10 bucks, I used it for a couple of years before it totally wore out. Everything there is on consignment, and I can imagine the worry about shoplifting. A previous reviewer had mentioned seeing a lady that worked there very concerned and observant of the shoppers. And unlike other places that are careless about the merchandise, the Antique Mall is aggressively fighting the sticky fingered thieves that think they can get away with shoplifting. Good Job for installing all the security cameras and protecting everyones consignments at your store!
The woman who works here didnt trust me with my backpack, but I was supposed to trust her with my Notepad and passport. So I left, and she gave me one of those snotty, passive aggressive have a nice days.
Interesting shop run by a super nice lady.
Paul and Lynn are good people.
Lots of treasures, but they dont always open on time. They also change their days of operation quite often.
I witnessed something disturbing while in this antique mall; a woman who works at the mall followed a couple around then made accusations that the female of the couple had something in her hand to steal. The something in her hand was only a wrapper she had left from a piece of candy. So this worker harassed this couple and made false slanderous accusations against the female of the couple. I dont want to shop there anymore after seeing that.
Fun times.
