The new owners and managers work diligently to keep the park beautiful and accommodate the needs of guests. Communicate if there is a problem. The managers go to extremes to find solutions and provide a good experience to guests. My son and I spent a month at this park. I wish we could have stayed longer. We miss the park and the managers. We met wonderful people at the park and had beautiful adventures in town and in the gorgeous surrounding rainforest. We have lived and visited amazing places all over the country. This was one of the absolute best.Be sure to visit Sol Duc hot springs and Country Aire market.Hope we can return soon. It is one of the most beautiful and enjoyable places we have ever had the privilege to spend time.
The best part of our stay was the fact that we were in a group and felt safe. Charging the same rate for no hookups as the sites with hookups is not fair. The odor of sewer gas was prominent at our site when you walked outdoors.
New managers are good people.. owners are great too . It was my pleasure to work for them for 5 years.
Had a great time relaxing here with my pup for a few days and experiencing Crescent Lake. Kerrie and DJ treat you like family and make you feel right at home. Thank you both for the amazing hospitality.
A good sized general store, bigger than any one Id stopped at for many miles. However, they were out of ice, the only thing I was searching for.
I camped here last year with a tent, this year with an RV. The staff are always very accommodating. The bathrooms are clean and the property is well maintained. It is very close to both Lakes, and within 15 minutes of the Elwha River.
After paying $55 plus tax for a spot to dry camp, no hookups or wifi, I really think we would have been better finding a wide spot on the highway than staying here. The price for full hook-ups was the same, way to go to gouge those who are coming in out of desperation. The toilets & showers were not clean the afternoon we arrived, only worse the following morning. Only two mens toilets, one clogged and one with out TP. Should have just followed my gut and skipped this Park.
I stayed a week ago, my family and i were wanting a great way to get away from town and we thought this was the perfect place. The place was beautiful looking and that’s why we wanted to stay. The first red flag was that the store employees were not wearing masks!! That should’ve been it for us but we just decided to stay still because we just wanted a get away. We stayed for a weekend, and the first few hours were amazing until we needed to shower, that’s where it starts. The showers were disgusting, water and trash everywhere, the drains didn’t work and their solution was to put a mat in the shower to catch the hair? The showers were cold because someone was doing laundry(apparently the laundry room and shower water heaters are connected??). We had to deal with cold showers and dirty showers. The next thing we had to deal with is yelling from the neighbors, as apparently letting meth heads and druggies in here is a normal thing here. When my niece wanted to go play in the field I kept finding mounds of dog poop, and had to keep her from stepping in it! We expected to have a few days to just relax but that wasn’t the case as we had to deal with cold showers, the store employees not wearing any masks, dog poop in the field, and meth heads going crazy in the park. If you want a good weekend getaway DON’T COME HERE. Save your money please. It’s not worth the money OR drive to come out here.
Great area, lots of trees. General store in front. Mostly long term residents. Traffic is a little high in morning/afternoon. But I still loved it. Wifi is mostly useless and cell service is terrible.
Miserable - avoid. Muddy sites, no grass, sites are not level. Extremely slow wifi, barely able to even connect, and no cell service. An active fire station on the premises. Expensive - the second highest cost weve encountered. And, theyre planning to expand with 20 more sites. Soon theyll be able to disappoint even more customers.
Shadow mountain RV park is a great place to enjoy. Doesnt matter what the reason or want is to enjoy this beautiful get away. Go visit this wonderful place enjoy family, weekend, gatherings. Shadow mountain RV park also has great monthly rates for RV parking great wooded area full hook up and has a wonderful little general convenient store, the parking is plentiful clean area and the new owners are very nice and the park has been cleaned up very well and I would give it a 5-star rating as soon as I get to experience other stay at the Shadow mountain RV Park my visit was great and it can only progress better in the near future with good quality staffing. I would easily go back and stay again and enjoy the best nature has to offer.
Nestled on the edge of Lake Sutherland this quaint RV Park has it all! The wife and I spent a long weekend at Shadow Mountain by chance. We were touring the coast when this place caught our eye. She loved it so much we almost had to stay for the rest of the week! We brought our 30 foot camper, had plenty of room to set up and let the dogs run around.(pet friendly by the way!!) Clean facilities complete with bathroom/showers and all the outdoors anyone could ask for. They even had a little corner shop that you could shop for odds and ends. Has that true PNW feel when all you are surrounded by trees and mountains. If you are lucky you might even get a chance to see a deer or two. The Lake is just a short walk from the front of the park and the area has many tails and hikes to choose from or if the coast is more your speed that is not too far either! Loved everything about our stay from the owners who were super friendly and sweet to the quiet late nights staring up at the stars. If you find yourself in the area or heading to the National Park, book a spot here and you wont be disappointed.
I needed to get away from the city and found a wonderful RV park where I stayed for a month. The landscape was well kept, the environment was peaceful and quiet, and the parking area for my RV was spacious. I would highly recommend Shadow Mountain RV park for anyone looking for monthly RV parking or longer. It was a little cold for hanging out on the beach but I made the short hike to the water and found the trail to be well kept and free of trash. The people at check-in were efficient and polite. Most of the people camping there seemed to be longer term tenements so it made for a very cordial fun time. My kids came out for a week visit and they had fun on the playground and running around the park. Its such a great environment for children, unlike a lot of other RV parks, I felt comfortable letting them on the playground without any worries. There are grocery stores nearby and a few bars and restaurants that were pretty good close by. Cant say enough good things about all aspects of my stay and will definitely return again for another stay.
Such an amazing RV park with the perfect location! I talked to the owner about the monthly price! He said $600 I compared it to a lot of RV parks and it was the best price around! Camping at the park was very such an amazing experience to be outdoors but private. Nice accommodations for both RVS and campers! Nice space for any size RV. I seriously high recommend Shadow Mountain RV!
We absolutely loved the spectacular views of the Olympic Peninsula while visiting Shadow Mountain Monthly RV Park. The park staff were incredibly helpful and very nice. We had an opportunity to meet the owner and he was super friendly. We used a tent trailer and at night the star gazing was simply amazing ! While there we walked the many scenic trails and went fishing at one of the many fishing spots. You always see staff roaming around in their golf carts. The entertainment in the area was also fantastic with Grannys Cafe and miniature golf. The laundromat, bathroom and showers were all very clean. If you go here, I suggest you do some hiking and take in the beautiful scenery of Lake Sutherlin and Lake Crescent ! We definitely are planning a return trip to Shadow Mountain RV Park !
This is such a nice little spot. The beautiful scenery coupled with nature makes for a great getaway. Theres something for everyone here. Whether it be horseshoes or mini golf, kids wont get bored. The grounds are well maintained and kept free of clutter. While the hook ups work great and are in good shape. The owners are great. They went above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable.I also liked the fact that there was a convience store close by that way we were able to stock up on fruits, vegetables and water. Another great bonus is the view of Lake Sutherland. It is absolutely gorgeous in the early Summer morning.Port Angeles is a beautiful area. There is wildlife everywhere and to be camping in the middle of all this beauty is priceless. If you have a chance to come by and spend a few nights at this unique campground, you will not be disappointed. In closing, I cannot say enough good things about Shadow Mountain RV Park. The camping fees are very reasonable, the owners are great and the scenery is straight out of a Hollywood movie. Like I said before, if you have a chance to stay at this hidden gem you should. You wont be sorry.
Quite the place and good for camping 🏕
Hello everyone. This is a beautiful well kept place with loads of amenities and great spaces. The stay is under 600$ a month and fresh country mountain side air. The cool thing about this place is that you have a convenient store with clothing and food drinks all kinds of beverages. You can go explore there isis camping and monthly stay and the staff is great. Very friendly people and its located in port Angeles so if you live in the city the drive is hardly that far. Its a 136 mile drive for me and I drive that to and from work in one day. So in my opinion be for others in this situation. It is a Christmas great place to relax kick your feet up and I have a fire cook on the fire or grill out tell stories and enjoy the natures best. Bathrooms are maintenanced and also the area of the facility is well kept. Weather is normal if you live in the Pacific north west. So if you want a cheap good family feel environment get away or maybe you you want to hunker down either way it wont heart to spend a little and check the place out. Thank you everyone and I hope you enjoy your stay at the beautiful Shadow Mountain RV Park.
I came to this RV park for a fun trip with my family and it was great my kids loved it and asked when we can go back haha. it’s a Good family loving spot with unbeatable prices for a monthly RV park/camp ground. The staff there is very polite and helpful and the scenery is even better. Definitely give this place a good 5 stars and can’t wait to come back!
I spent a weekend at this RV park some time back and it was fabulous. The owners treated me and my family very well and were amazingly helpful. Being new to RVs and the PNW, the folks at Shadow Mountain made us feel at home and answered all of our basic questions and gave us great tips. The drive there was unforgettable too. Definitely will be coming back very soon, and think well be here quite frequently over the next few months. I highly recommend it, and absolutely encourage you to do check it out for yourself!
Visited Shadow Mountain RV Park on way back from my first solo RV vacation. Spent the night cooking and camping under the stars and had a great stay. The new owners were extremely friendly and accommodating.I was able to make my reservation quite easily over the phone and the process of checking-in went by swimmingly. Noise levels werent a factor and other campers were nice as well. Many families and kids were around with no incidents whatsoever because of the size of the park - I didnt feel crammed in on top of other campers at all. The park was incredibly clean and I didnt find litter anywhere. Easy access to bathrooms and camping areas as well as picnic tables to eat. The whole situation was friendly and although I only stayed about 15 hours, I would definitely recommend staying here again. The park is also pet friendly and was one of the better RV parks that I came across on my journey from Ithaca, New York to Seattle, Washington. The new owners even gave my dog a biscuit when I checked in. Would definitely visit again. Oh yeah - and the price was very affordable. Overall, I had NO issues whatsoever!
Shadow Mountain Rv park is a beautiful and quiet location. The park host Aubrey and Kerri are just awesome. The bathroom facilities are always clean with plenty of hot water for a relaxing shower, as well as being well heated for those chilly days. My husband and I just love living here. We occasionally get to see small air craft fly of Lake Sutherland and bald Eagles flying over the mountains behind the park. Great place to stay for a night or two or longer if you fall in love with it as my husband and I have.Angela and Christian Rice
Snack stop! Old west feel on the outside and little tourist treasures hidden here and thereAmongst the candy and chips on the inside.
Such a beautiful space! Clean, quiet, and peaceful. Kerrie, and Aubrey, were especially eager to make sure I had everything they could possibly offer to make my stay the best experience I could have. Thank you, Shadow Mt.!
Great monthly RV Park. Did some work in Port Angeles and this was by far the cleanest and most accommodating park. Has a great General Store and gas station. Never had to go anywhere else for groceries. Highly recommend this park to travelers and traveling workers.
Very Clean and nice place with a Great View of Lake Sutherland. RV Park Managers and neighbors very courteous. They were the only ones who accepted our RV even though it was 10 years old. The other parks in the area (few to none) had a requirement for it to be less than 9 years old or new. Make your reservation early, its hard to get in. We were buying a house and the builder just wouldnt complete it and we needed to go back after staying in a local KOA park for 2 weeks. Would we stay again? You bet, given the time and space. We stayed from September to December 2019.
Currently staying at this beautiful park. The management are caring beautiful people. The facilities are clean and in working order. The sites are spacious and roomy. Feels like a small community that has welcomed my family of 4 with our little dog.
We havent been traveling for awhile and had an itch for it so we drove our RV up until we came across this site in Port Angeles. We ended up staying for 5 days to check out the scenery and things to do while in town. The owners are nice just as well as the employees. The new owners told us that they just purchased the area since the previous owners retired. They didnt want to take care of the place anymore and wanted to relax during their retirement years. The RV Park area was really clean. The area we parked at was somewhat tight but there was an area for us to plug in the outlet to the sewer. Although, the road do get loud since its close to it no matter what day it may be.We did camping outside and it was a nice weather to see while in the area. We drove from Florida and its amazing to know that this is a pretty state. We got to chat with some nice people. Will definitely come back again but be more prepared next time. We will come back with more food and supplies to avoid overpaying when in the area. We will tell others about the place.
This RV park is clean and very laid back. The new owners here are so nice and accommodating! We came in at the last minute with no where to go and a long drive ahead of us and the new owners made everything so much easier for us. We have a tent trailer so we weren’t expecting an RV park to help but they let us camp out without having the RV hookups. I will definitely hold my standards much higher for future RV parks we stay at! I guess the old owners retired as they wanted to relax and not worry about upkeep on the RV park. I read some old reviews before coming and saw that the old owners didn’t get very good reviews but the new owners were getting amazing reviews. Don’t let the older reviews change your mind! This place is amazing. The only thing I would recommend is bringing your own food if you want to save money.
Kerri and Aubrey Ive been the absolute best host that Ive ever dealt with in all of my years of camping and living this way throughout the country I can honestly say this is my all-time favorite place to go. You want an amazing views you want amazing host that go out of their way and Im above and beyond the call of what they are even required to do then this is the place for you. They will do anything and everything they can to make sure that your stay here in the peninsula is one of the best and most amazing stays that you will have. They make sure that you are comfortable that you feel like family and the park is just beautiful. There is never a stitch of garbage anywhere on this park it is always in pristine condition they take very well care of the bathrooms theres great laundry facilities you are 5 minutes from the lake 20 minutes and Jarron Sol Duc Hot Springs you get the oceans and lakes the rivers what more could you want. Here on the Olympic Peninsula there isnt anything that you cant do and then to have amazing host such as hes well it just makes it spectacular my vote number one is this RV Shadow Mountain come join us enjoy it
My wife and I stayed here in our 40ft RV. Plenty of space! The new owners who live on the site were very nice and very helpful! The spaces have picnic table and fire ring at each site. All utilities worked fine. Restrooms and laundry room were both very tidy. There was a nice little store and gas station also on site. We loved our stay at Shadow Mountain Campground RV Park in a Motorhome. Most definitely be returning in the future!
This review was as a camper, not an RVer. Camping is reserved for a space but its first come first serve. Plenty of nice camping spaces with room for your fire, big tent and has a picnic table too. The bathrooms are super clean and locked with a passkey number lock. Warm showers, toilets and a mirror to dry hair and apply makeup if desired. There is a huge lawn to play sports or games on. For little kids, there is a playground too. Proximity of these things are great for all campers but not right up against bathrooms or the play area. The best part is having a place to get gas and market items right in front along the highway 101. Convenient and well stocked. The location is great for all the amazing hikes and sights to see on the Olympic Peninsula. Highly recommended and we cant wait to go back!
Staff is wonderful! Bathrooms and laundry are impeccable. Store has a lot of cool stuff. Park is well- maintained. Very pretty, pet friendly, family friendly. Great place to stay, relax and enjoy the peace, tranquility and nature. It’s close enough to see fun sights. Free wi-fi. Check it out! The new owners are super nice. You can tell they care about the park. Thank you for having us. Already have reservations for next stay.
My wife and I were looking for a nice RV Park in Kitsap County but couldnt find one. We decided to try Clallam County. After a nice drive we arrived at Shadow Mountain RV Park. The park looked well maintained. The hookups were very nice and well taken care of. Overall, I was very impressed. The owners were very nice and warm, making us feel welcome. Having a gas station onsite is very convenient and great for snacks and beverages. There is monthly RV parking and theres plenty do in this lush oasis of greenery.Overall, we spent a week exploring and hiking. The weather was great and on several outings we were able to see some deer and Blue Jays. In the mornings, there was at least one time that deer were roaming around the RV Park. At night it was so peaceful and quiet. I loved hearing the birds and other noises from the local wildlife. On our last day we talked about coming back next year. We just loved the customer service, the ease of the spaces and the convenience of having a store close by. We met a lot of great people from different states enjoying the Shadow Mountain RV Park and all the nice amenities that are included. I suggest staying here if youre looking for a really nice and beautiful getaway.
My family and I took a road trip recently and decided to visit the beautiful Crescent lake and came across Shadow Mountain RV park/Campground. I wanted a campground/RV park that wasnt overly crowded, but was family oriented and accommodating. I found just that here and then some! The owners (which happen to be new) of the RV park/Camp ground were very welcoming, nice and accommodating. This place is an awesome place to camp or to park your camper for the night or a few. The campground is clean and very well up kept.Theres even a general store just in case you forgot to pack something for your trip and some secluded areas if you like your privacy. Shadow Mountain Campground is one of the nicer Campgrounds that Ive been to and will be returning to for years to come. Thanks again for all of the great hospitality!
Its my first time on the continental states from Hawaii as Im here for University. Because its not really something I can do back home due it being an island, me and my friends thought it would be a good idea if we went on a road trip and did some exploring. One of my friends parents had an RV so they let us take it. Originally it was going to be a day trip, but we figured why not turn it into a camping trip, Itll be a new experience.Initially I was a bit nervous after reading the reviews about the previous owners, however I read that there were new owners, so we figured that wed take the chance. The new owners of the RV Park were very nice and accommodating, and certainly not racist! We had a conversation with them and they were very interested to hear about ourselves and where we came from. They made us feel very welcome and were very informed about the surrounding area. The facilities were very well maintained and very clean, not to mention the great views that you can see, especially at this time of the year with the changing seasons--something we dont see back home. If we come out this way again, well definitely be back :)
Hi so I recently rented an RV spot from Shadow Mountain RV park for one of my most recent camping trips with a lot of my family members and I had an amazing experience with the RV space that we rented. I had went there before and the owners were horrible and the prices were pretty high and not reasonable but now that they have new owners it just makes me want to go there for all of my rentals. They have changed the prices and make it affordable. The reason why it was such a great experience is because I had rented a huge RV and the spot that we rented fit everything perfectly and was very spacious. All of the plug/outlets worked and it was overall a wonderful rv site. I would 100% recommend anyone to rent an RV space from this company. Thanks again to Shadow Mountain RV park for the fantastic experience.
Im now moved into the park and its great! I love the space Im in. New owners and fantastic mgrs.Aubry makes the park. Without him it would just be a nice RV park. For those that dont know theres a lake across the street and another one about a mile down the road.
Under New Ownership - give them a chance. The staff was friendly and the facilities were clean and maintained. Also, the store and restroom/ shower facilities are wheelchair accessible. Amenities include a laundry, mini-golf, and horseshoes. There are some upgrades that could be done, but well worth the money.
This last vacation we headed out to the Olympic peninsula, having taken the trip often it becomes obvious there are not a lot of stops along the highway. Usually I am backpacking, so thinking about an RV park doesnt typically come to mind. If I needed a Monthly RV Park on the Olympic peninsula Shadow Mountain RV park would definitely be the place to stop, great amenities, friendly owner, employees and gorgeous views. We were Camping farther up the road but next time we are going to bring the RV to this RV park. I could not believe how much space the RV park had reserved for all of their guests. The lake was right across the highway, lake crescent just another mile up the road... there is Sol Duc Hotsprings not too far away with Olympic hotsprings back towards town. Look for the giant ice cream cone for hand dipped ice cream cones, a deli, gas station and more. Even though I had not had a chance to stay at Shadow mountain RV Park when I visited Lake Crescent not too long ago, I would definitely recommend checking out Shadow Mountain RV Park a short 15 miles from Port Angeles, Washington.
I had an excellent visit here with my family over the last weekend, the new owners were very kind, I called ahead of time and all of my questions were answered, including information about prices, amenities, and scheduling. The check-in process was easy and painless, so we were able to set up pretty soon after we had arrived. They are located just off the Olympic highway, but honestly I wouldnt have been able to tell, as the two nights we spent there were peaceful, and the other campers and RVers were very respectful of quiet hours, we even made friends with the family next to us! The grounds are very safe, and the kiddos had a great time exploring and making friends with the kids at the other campsites. The grounds were also excellently maintained by the owners, and the camping spots were spacious and really great for the price that you pay. The RV spots looked nice as well, and I could tell that the people using them were enjoying their stay. We made some great memories here, and I would definitely recommend this RV park to anyone looking for a nice retreat from the daily grind! We will definitely be back for our next family camping trip. Thanks again.
The new owners of Shadow Mountain RV Park are amazing. Please dont let old reviews regarding the previous owners scare you away. We really enjoyed camping there & had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this RV park if you want to enjoy some time off the grid with a friendly and efficient staff to help!
I loved this RV park! Every year my family and I go camping and it was the first time we have been here. Apparently they have New Owners and they are so nice! They even introduced us to their dog. I have not been to an RV park this nice and I will come again for our trip next year.
With the new owners, this is turning out to be a great little place. Theyre still working on getting everything up to par again, but already, you can see that they have drastically improved this place from what people have said it was. Making it my winter home this year, and looking forward to it!
All I have to say for this campground is good things. My fiancé and I are staying here temporarily for the spring and summer months, and so far its been exceptional. From the ladies down at the general store, to the owners, even the groundskeeper. Every single person here is awesome, and welcoming. The food at the store is delicious. And the Chili that the owner makes, just wow. Not to mention the place is so well kept. Its not dirty, there is no trash on the grounds. I could go on and on. Great place that I would recommend to anyone.
Wow, came here to leave a review and I was surprised. How could this RV Park only be rated so low?Seeing the older reviews, I now know why...The bad reviews are old, and aren’t anything to do with the park itself... it was the old owners!Sounds like they’d spoiled a good RV Park and place for camping.Well, the good thing is they’re gone. Dealing with the new owners of the RV park has been good. The owners of the RV Park are nice. Email them. Speak to them. I’ve only had good, prompt communication (and pleasant!)Based on my experience... if they continue to maintain the park with as much effort as they are putting in to get the reputation back up to scratch, it will be worth coming back to time after time for either RV or camping.
Clean, quiet, all the ammenities in the general store. Gas. The owners are caring and so nice. A great place to have a camping wedding!
Loving the Beautiful Majestic Senery at the park, the views are spectacular and the nights even more 😊if you can imagine. The mountains all around you and each spot is a page from wilderness magizine. Ive lived here for almost a year now and the place just amazes me everyday. I have seen blue birds, sparrows, Robins and eagals; its a great adventure for the whole family. Port Angeles has cute shops to explore and many other things to do in town. The managers are more than happy to help you out with that.Aubrey is very knowledgeable if you have a issue with your RV and is always glad to help. Everyone here is friendly and offers a hello to brighten your day. If you want to see the beautiful Washington State this is the place to come.
This is a place that has given me a breathe of fresh air n managed by great ppl. These ppl are truly awesome and very grateful for there understanding n acceptance .id be lost w/o it .they r dog friendly n the park is very quiet. . Im very happy I live here .thank u guys ur awesome. I love it here.
I recently flew into town to visit a couple friends in Olympia and they suggested we take their RV for a ride and camp for a few days.We googled some area spots and came across Shadow Mountain. We wanted somewhere low key as my friends are used to camping in very unpopulated areas but we had the RV this time so this seemed like a good compromise. We are able to reserve our spot easily and when we arrived the owners greeted us warmly.Lucky for us the park was not crowded in the days we were there and we were able to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Not being very picky about facilities since we usually have few amenities when we camp, the facilities were well kept and clean. We met some nice locals while we were there and they told us the owners jus bought the property.I wish them luck wotj their new project and we hope to visit again soon when I’m back from New York City for a visit.Highly recommend checking this park out when you get a chance.
So, on the way up to Victoria, my friends and I decided to check out The Shadow Mountain RV Park. We were a tda bit nervous since weve never really been out to a campground before (well, I havent, but my friends have). We met the owner, Jeremy who happened to be a new owner there. Before we pulled in, we had to check google though to see what everyone else was saying. Being so close to Victoria, we ultimately chose to camp out here for a bit because of the amount of solid reviews we saw online. The camp spots were all clean, clear and well spaced, though neighbors may be slightly close, but not so much to invade privacy. To be honest, having the luxury of clean restrooms and a clean laundry room made it that much more easier for me to take a leap of faith and go out camping (wasn’t too keen on lugging back dirty clothes after our trip). If you’re in need of a clean campsite with friendly owners, a gas station and a convenience store, this RV Park is one to keep saved on your maps to frequent. I know that if it wasn’t for Jeremy, I would’ve been torn up with anxiety and stress trying to figure out how the hell I’d survive my first camping trip with my mates (just don’t tell them I said that). Make sure you check out their menu inside too. They’ve got a good selection of treats to choose from.
This RV Park has New Owners dedicated to making this a great place for camping. The New owners of the RV Park are nice and doing a great job keeping the place clean. Restrooms, Laundry and other facilities are all clean and working.
Stayed here for a weekend and had a great time. Beautiful part of the country! Easy access to Olympic National Forest and Port Angeles. Clean restrooms. Sites arent pull through and may be a little tricky for the beginner.
We loved this RV Campground and the owners Lita and Mike were awesome . we were there for 2 1/2 months we will be going back and we would recommend this place any day. They take really good care of all there customer very well maintained. and the bigfoot burger is to die for and so are the fries and dont for get the Ice cream.thanksSteve and Donna
Dont know about the camp ground, but the food is really really really good! The staff is super friendly. Way better than the log cabin resort restraunt!
The location is peaceful and beautiful, the bathrooms, laundry, and grounds are well maintained, and the staff are always willing to help with anything you might need. Overall, a pleasant little getaway.
This place would be a great place... If it wasnt for the owners/managers!Wow, what a couple of nasty and mean people! The husband rates 2 stars... The wife rates a minus 2.Stay here only if you are out of options. But beware of ANY TYPE OF CONFRONTATION. Because they will ruin your mood and vacation at a blink of an eye.
As other reviewers have stated, this is a very nice park. Probably one of the best in the area. Centrally located to hit the high spots like Olympic NP, Cape Flattery, Forks, HOH rain forest, etc. 43 coaches fit well in the first row. The WI-FI was fast and reliable. The area is generally clean and they also kept the washrooms clean which was nice. Road noise is noticeable during the day as there is a lot of movement, but real quiet at night. The new owners are good people and really care for this place. We would return next time were here. We camped at Shadow Mountain Campground RV Park in a Motorhome. Highly recommend this place.
My wife and I spent a weekend here under the new owners and we could not have asked for a more enjoyable time. This RV Park was very quaint and quiet. The views are amazing of what the PNW as to offer. Our motor home is over 11 feet high and the usual width, no problem. We didnt worry about the height of it at all. Gorgeous views on the way to the campground. The customer service was friendly, knowledgeable about local activities and events. The facilities were clean and the grounds were well kept. We enjoyed our stay and will return for another quiet weekend. We are new to the RV life and just spent a weekend. Sunrise and sunsets are outstanding. It is a great place! It truly serves as a base camp for all of the wonderful places to visit in the PNW! The place is new but the attention to detail is very impressive. The park was easy to find and get into. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of all of the resort. The beauty of their location is awesome. How can you beat being located next to the inlet from the Pacific Ocean? The staff and owners of the are very friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure!
We are new owners of a RV and are still learning the ropes of camping with an RV. It at times can be difficult but going to campgrounds has helped us learn how to own an RV and be proud campers (since 2010).My partner and I were reluctant to stop initially at Shadow Mountain RV Park because of the low reviews online. But we took a great chance and absolutely enjoyed our quick go-through. The area is clean and well kept. Employees of the Park are very helpful and all pretty knowledgeable about the surrounding area.If you have been to the spot before closing, the sky is so perfect just as the sun set. Shadow Moutain RV Park is a great stop for anyone with an RV who’s willing to explore new areas within their travel destination. For new RV owners there’s so many places people recommend that just don’t turn out to be a fun experience. Shadow Moutain was not a bad experience. My partner and I would love when we get time off to head over to Port Angeles and really explore the area more.I would definitely reccomend this place 10/10! Thank you for the lovely experience and staff!
Planned a 3 month stay here while on assignment in the area. Proprietors were looking for a confrontation from day 1. We were greeted with loud banging on our door and yelled at because our car was parked in a direction they didnt like...Unfortunate that such a beautiful camp site has such ill-tempered owners. Managers will look for any excuse for an angry confrontation. The google reviews about this place have several examples of customers being treated in an inappropriate manner. For us, a simple and tactful request was responded to with shouting and early termination of our 3 month reservation which left me with no other place to stay in the area while on my 3 month assignment as a travel nurse. Its funny that every other RV park in the area is booked solid all summer, but this one has lots of open slots. If you have another alternative in the area, I recommend avoiding this place.
A very nice camping area with clean, warm bathrooms. I hope it changes ownership soon. The owners are rude, angry, and irrational. They go from nice to angry in a blink, and they do not honor their own posted late check-in rules. I have never felt intimidated in a store until now. I was repeatedly yelled: Get out of my store!, so I thanked for the accommodations and left. All I did was to question why they had earlier told me on the phone to not show up after 8 pm, when they have posted instructions and a pay box for late check-in. Their explanation did not make any sense, and when I asked for a clarification, I was thrown out. I felt that if I had pursued my question any further, the male owner would have physically thrown me out.
Visited Shadow Mountain RV Park on way back from my RV vacation. Spent the night cooking and camping under the stars and had a great stay! New owners were super cool and friendly they made us feel safe and welcomed. We love the #Olympic Penisula area it’s family #friendly and so beautiful. Wonderful place to go #camping under the stars. Nice RV park. All hook ups worked. We stayed here due to other parks being full but it is wonderful. We camped at #Shadow #Mountain #Campground RV Park in a #Motorhome. Highly recommend this nice campground the new owners are so friendly felt like a long-lost friend. There is so much to explore and do in the #Port Angeles area. We wanted a friendly RV Park. Felt comfortable even for our dog. A pet friendly #RV Park is super important too because our pet is like family. The new owners seemed to understand that feeling comfortable was super important. They went out of their way to being friendly to us which meant a lot to us. If you are looking for a #friendly campsite underneath the beautiful stars this is your place to have a Twlight memory. It’s fruendly and the owners are super nice.
The hours are short and the manager lady was rude. They did whoever just hire a new counter person and when I came back the next day she was very nice. The Sasquach/ log cabin theme they have inside is pretty cool.
First of all staci and Jeremy are not owners, they take contracts and fix places up for the owners to be able to sell, Jeremy and Staci are not married, they are scammers, they are garbage, staci is a loud mouth, dont trust them at all, they are paying people to post false reviews because they dont want anyone to know the truth. Do not stay here, you can find a better place with your money.
I cant write a glowing review, but the 2 other reviews are old and a little harsh in my mind. We stayed here for 5 nights to see the northern part of Olympic NP. The owners run the General Store as well as the campground. Folks, running a campground is a full time job by itself! The store caters to the fuel and food for Lake Sutherland, Crescent Lake and Olympic NP and seems to take a lot of their time,. In an area with few options, wed stay here again. The campground is gravel and can be a little dusty, so stay up the hill where theres less traffic. Shower house was very clean as was the laundry. Hope this is helpful.
Planned a trip to see my aunt and uncle in Sequim and came across this little gem. I borrowed their RV and while I have never stayed at an RV park until then, it was everything I could have asked for. The new owners are so nice and went above and beyond for us, they were shocked I’d never been on an RV before and they just showed us all great hospitality. The location in Port Angeles was perfect and central for our little trip around the Olympic Penninsula. We made a big loop, starting in Port Angeles and going up to Neah Bay and down the coast and to Ocean Shores and then back up. We ended up staying another night on our trip back to Sequim we had such a great time. Even though this was my first experience with this kind of travel, I’m sure to even the most veteran RV traveler this place will impress. Will definitely be back to the Mountain View RV park on my next trip!
Dont come here.owners are horrible.raising rent to $665 what a joke.no wi-fi no phone srervice.they closed laundry room for remodeling.lol.been 4 months nothing had been done.cant drink water it comes out brown.smells like sewer.store is way overpriced.spota are unlevel.muddy in winter and dusty in summer.no maintenance for park.just store.dont care about park.ut shows.nothibf has-been dine in 3 yes Ive been here.but raise rent.dont stay here.
This place is under new management not ownership, jeremy richardson and staci walbridge are not married like they say they are, they are also investors, they are scammers, liars, do not stay at this place.
The bathrooms are sooo clean and the people who work there are wonderful
Owners have a big chip on their shoulders and couldn’t be decent, civil human beings to save their lives. Don’t let them ruin your camping trip, go somewhere else.
*Be Warned* We just pulled into the facility looking for availability and as we were pulling up in our mini van (mind you this place towes RVs, and the road already shows signs of it) the van had lost traction a bit up the parks steep grade leading to campsites. We recovered only moments after the tire spin. *****Well we were then greeted by the owner; a shirtless man with no shoes screaming with belligerent intent, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING who, after confronting him about the unnecessary need to yell at us, if there was availability, told us to get the hell off my property. This man has the most pathetic, unprofessional, and unbelievably egregious behavior. This is NO WAY to treat six customers! Its amazing this place is in business. Take your family elsewhere.
Horrible owners. Hope the sale goes thru and new owners are nice. The male owner is a tyrant who likes to be rude and yell at his staff and campers! The store is nice and food is ok but overpriced for what you get. The staff is underpaid for what they have to put up with from the owners. Not many other places to stay in a rv in the area but be aware of the rules and a steep climb going in. The owners will yell if you go the wrong way or go over the 5 mph speed limit. They are rude and nasty!
This place is the worst. The little food place doesnt have water for guests. Grumpy lady at counter said only place is the bathroom. Tried to make me feel bad telling me I could buy water, pointing to the cold case.$5 minimum purchase on debit card. Rude people working here.Gross.
Didnt stay here but the country store had great salt water Taffy and the lady running the store is friendly. She even gave me a Bigfoot pin 😀
We were not even into our campsite when a male staff member approached us yelling and asking what we thought we were doing. When we said we were looking at the site before backing in, he started yelling again - who told you to come in this way? We were quite overwhelmed by the lack of welcome and courtesy. We finally asked if we could get a full refund if we left right now and he agreed. We high tailed it out of there. If I could give this minus stars I would.
The owner “Lita” is arrogant and abusive to both her customers and employees. She referred to my Asian Wife and Children as “you people” then made a disparaging comment. Unacceptable behavior for anyone much less someone who runs a business for the public.
This is by far the worst experience weve ever had! They treat clients like trash and they are trashy themselves. We rented a trailer(5th Wheel) there and everything seemed fine. When we got ready to sleep... well we didnt sleep. No heater!!!! It get cold at night and we had two toddlers!!! The next morning I told the owner at the store about the heater issue, all he said was... Well, why didnt you wake me up? I could not believe it. They also said that it was warm at night. It was warm during the day, but in that area.. at night time its chilly. I also had no idead where they were. The store closes around 9pm and they didnt tell us where they would be!!! I didnt even think that simple things like heater wouldnt work. I could have gotten a log cabin near by for less but on the phone they seem nice so we took a chance there. What a big mistake. They are now sending me threating letter about taking us to small claims court and taken our picture without our consent!! I have asked them to extend the check out time and they said that it was fine. But when we got back there was letter on the door saying that they are charging us for the extra day!! Please stay away from this place. They will take full advantage of you and they will never admit to their fault.
Just picked up some propane. Neat Spot.
Rejected due to the breed of my dog, which is mixed and under 40 lbs. Ignorant!
Horrible people there is a reason they run through employees. If I could leave less then one starting I would. Mike and lita are as low as they come.
There are very few options for getting supplies along US-101 as you go through the Olympic National Park. Plan accordingly so you wont have to stop here for food or fuel. Maybe if management changes there could be a chance.
A place to park if you can level your rig.
Clean, quiet and conveniently located.
Cute little corner store
Great service
