I brought in a very difficult item to frame. I went to the framing department for a consultation. Tobias helped me and was absolutely fantastic. He and Manny, the manager, talked about the best way to frame my piece. Then, Tobias started selecting frame options. There were a few good ones but above my budget. Tobias was tireless and came up with an amazing solution and one that I could afford. His sense of color and style is great. He picked the perfect frame. The rest of the transaction was seamless. My art was ready early and the recipient loved it. I will go back with any framing that I need to do and I will be sure to work with Tobias, since he is exceptional.

You would think by the looks of it that this is a national chain, but they only have two locations in the whole country! One in NYC and this one. If youre only familiar with Michaels, definitely check it out here because they have a much better selection with great prices and great employees. I would say its twice as good as Michaels, especially if youre shopping for picture frames.

*As a customer for 3 years, I value the expertise in the Fine Arts Department whose staff coordinated by Manager Tony Wilkinson provides gracious & competent artistic assistance for the purchase of materials. *In addition. they sponsor free art workshops which enhance customers skill development.*A special feature is the acrylic paint class led by Heather Patterson, Manager of the Framing Department. Her inspiring teaching has motivated our paint club to progress from rank begginers to respectable painters. Some painted works are beautiful enough to frame. (Mondays 4:30 - 6:30 pm for $40 or $35 if signed up before the Monday.)

Really good craft store, I like it better than Michaels. Its big so be prepared to hunt around. I wish they had more options for photo albums. Cheery staff and convenient location.

A.I. Friedman is a favorite art supply store because of the consistent attentive service, the extensive assortment of products, and the store is immaculate.On my visit this week, Tony Wilkinson located the leather drafting chair I needed, brought it from storage, and provided a hand cart for wheeling the two boxes to my SUV. The sample on the floor met my specifications; the transaction took no more than five minutes. I received service with a smile. Thank you!

Love coming to A.I. Friedman, they always have what I need. The store is spacious and has a great selection for every artist.

This place is one of the best art supply shops I have ever been to. Most of the staff was friendly. Support animal friendly. Its a shame that they are closing and going out of business.

So sad to see this place go. This was the place for the true artist and distinctive gift give. The end of an era.

The store has an excellent selection and carried exactly what I needed, but my general experience with the staff was that they were reluctant to be helpful. I came to get a custom matt done and they told me I had to come back another day because the computers were down and they were short-staffed. Within a few minutes someone else said the computers were back up and I got what I needed. Not a big deal. Then, when I went to check out I asked if they had a teachers discount (most stores like this do). They said they did, but then rushed me through the check out and did not offer it to me. All in all, wasnt crazy about the customer service or the prices.

You can find what you need for your art supplies..the staff are friendly and helpful.

As an art student who often comes to this store I am disapointed. I come here almost every week and I have been astonished at the fact that the art supply section of this store hasnt been restocked in at least two months. Specifically the paint, canvas and panels. If I had to guess, it appears it is going out of business. In addition, the store hours have changed and have severly affected my ability to purchase things i need for class.

So sad A.I. Friedman is closed. I loved that store for gifts, decorations, and crafts. 😣

Used to be the ultimate place for faux foliage and gifts. Inventory had diminished drastically and quality is not what it used to be although it is still a step above Michaels.

On my first visit to this store, I was overcharged by several dollars when a sale item did not ring up at sale price. Tonight, I was paying closer attention and sure enough, some canvas boards marked $1.00 came up as $1.20. This increased the total sale on my receipt by 14%! Before signing my credit card receipt, I mentioned the price difference to the cashier and she refunded me the difference on the spot. It felt very much like this was common practice...over-charge and then refund the difference if the customer says something. The difference in price wasnt questioned or looked into, she just did the refund. I feel like this place is a total scam.

THIS DOESNT CLOSE UNTIL THE 4th OF JUNE. Meanwhile there’s a huge sale. There’s not much left. But you might be able to pick up a few things for over 60% off.

I love AI Friedman, they have a huge selection art and craft supplies, stationery, home accessories, always on sale at good prices. They also have a helpful, knowledgeable and professional custom framing staff and art supplies staff.

Once again ..not the first time.My purchases were all 60% off the msrp. The cashier scanned the items and only the Friedmans slight discount came up. I had to ask her to manually put in the discount for each item. She was annoyed but my purchases that totaled approx. $55.00 initially rang up as $95.00.

I am very surprised about the negative reviews. I am a local artist and every time I go to A.I. the staff is very helpful .. Its one of the best stores in Westchester, it has been a staple for a long time in the area .. ...................................
