And professional. And helpful. And we got a very good deal on some nice glasses for reading with prescription. Great job. Highly recommend.

Nice place to go with decent prices. Naval commisary and gas station next door. Gas prices usually lower by .10 or .15 compared to off base. No Fed/CA sales tax here. But variety or selection of NX cant compare to the PX at Pendleton. Available to military and dependents with ID. Go Navy !

Adore the quaintness, quality, safety, cleanliness and tax-free selections of the navy base merchandise store. But what I truly Love are the seasonal sales on already discounted prices (compared to out-the-gate store pricings). Its been, for the most part, my cure for quarantine cabin fever.

I love this place! Great prices usually, although I wish the BBQs would go on sale. I can get a better deal on those in town.

Its a good exchange. Decent parking for the amount of people here. Food court needs a little work to make more streamlined but it is functional.

Shopping is always quick and easy at the commissary. Prices are usually the lowest in town. Vegetables are fresh and always look good. I do my main shopping here.

Has a variety of products for your every day needs

This is a small market exchange but offers most of what you need. Very clean store. Nice staff. There are some metal tracks on the floor Im assuming left over from an old building/or remodeling. This the only reason I gave 4 stars. Ive seen 2 people trip over them. They do have great sales. Know your prices most of the time they are cheaper.

I was only a guest/spectator with my military friends going on the base exchange. Things are reasonably priced, and well organized just like civilian stores. It felt good to be in the company of so many uniforms and our countrys defenders out of uniforms.

Relatively normal NEX. The pet aisle selection is very, very minimal and a good chunk of the store is furniture/appliance display, as there doesnt seem to be a furniture store on post. Checkout lines are on the mid to long side, so be prepared to possibly wait. The clothes selection is adequate, but I couldnt find a formal wear section at all. Closest they seemed to have looked like business attire.

Military only shopping... Think of this as Macys meets Target with Best Buys on the side. Dont forget Automotive! Competitive prices for similar brands and no taxes.

I hate exchanges because theyre for the officers wives rather than anything else. This exchange is (today, the day that I am writing this) selling purses for $150!!! You have GOT to be kidding me. How is that a bargain? It may be cheaper than its normal retail but that is simply insane. 90% of military families cannot afford to buy those purses. It doesnt stop there either! They are selling a small container of creamer for $5 ($3 at Walmart, if that) and $30 for a pair of flip-flops. I kid you not. I hate this place! I cant believe they ever sell anything.

My boyfriend and I enjoy our visit to this navy base. I received great customer service and we purchased a few things that I enjoy having. They have a lot of brands such as: coach purses, Michael Kors, Victoria secrets, etc. A variety of make up brands and a electronic department. They also have a food court and a jewelry section.

Above average Navy Exchange. Fairly large size, decent selection.I continue to be surprised by the items they carry in stock and the prices. Most recently, I was looking for a specific highly rated Samsung HDTV. Not only did they have it in stock, but it was on sale for $100 less than the AAFES online price.Generally helpful staff (although you occasionally run into the “I’m a government employee” attitude - though less so than typical).

Shopping is courteous, helpful. Wish aisles were bigger... always seems I have to leave my cart in aisle.

Very nice on return without a receipt. Just get a store credit. . Store is very clean with a big selection. Be sure to check out the glasses and frame shop next to front entrance. Great prices compared to LensCrafters. I bought my frames on line then had lens with all the extras stuff made at their shop. Worked well. 🤗 and they are very polite and knowledge. .

My mother likes to come here about every 1 to 2 months to buy her vitamins, minerals, etc. My father was a colonel in the USAF during WWII. We take the back roads to get there to see all the farms and the beautiful countryside. We always get great service here.

This place is big but obviously you must be active or retired military to shop there. They have a little bit of everything you could want or need

I guess that this is a non-review review, because if you have access to the Navy Exchange, you know what it is like & if you dont there is no point in explaining it to you, right? And if youve seen one Exchange youve seen em all, right? Notably, they are a good source for Navy pride items, have a nice garden shop, a decent selection of clothing & shoes for women, men & children PLUS a good selection of electronics. I wont buy a new TV or computer - Apple or PC/laptop anywhere else. You STILL HAVE TO SHOP: The NEX is no longer the automatic low price leader. BUT their shelves are no longer filled with off-brand or No-Name stuff either. Columbia, Nike, first rate cosmetics, Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, Toshiba & many other top furniture and appliance manufacturers are available. CELL PHONES are available through the same contractor that Costco uses. We do shop here a lot, but not exclusively. Watch for sales and coupons.

Came here looking for some scotch and found a few good brands at great prices! 5 stars for having what I wanted at a great price. I cannot speak for the rest of the store.

The staff is polite and friendly. This small NEX has everything you need. The uniform shop has the essential uniforms and uniform items. The food court is small with only two different fast food restaurants and no coffee shop.

Your military ID and the form of payment you use must match exactly otherwise dont even bother. So if you are a military family member, stay away. Would have been better if they advertised this hitch and let people know before hand. We wasted our entire day.

Big savings on high end brand name men and womens clothing. Pretty good deals on housewares but not so great on electronics. Very good customer service.

Nice NEX but the food court is pretty small. It seems pretty standard for a Navy Exchange which are usually nicer than Air Force Exchanges. Good amount of merchandise and selection here. Nowhere near the level of the San Diego exchange though!

My experience at the Port Hueneme Naval Base was great the cashier was sweet and kind and found what I needed.

Never have common sizes. Always been picked through. Im talking waist sizes of 36 to 40. Shirts are always small or xxl.

I feel some things are over priced, so the no tax part doesnt really matter because they up the price anyway.

As a retired military veteran, I enjoy access to the retail store, gas station and grocery market (commissary) at Naval Base Ventura County. The facilities at Port Hueneme are topnotch and comparable to local commercial retail offerings at a reduced cost. Whats good is that the proceeds benefit military personnel and their families.The retail store, Naval Exchange Service, is like a Macys combined with a Target. Maggie and I shop there for a lot of our clothing, and also for incidentals and toiletries. The NEX also carries a fine line of prescription eyewear and fine jewelry and leather goods. Gas prices are generally six to ten cents below local retail prices, and the service station provides full mechanical service and excellent buys and installation on tires and rims.

They dont sell plus size clothes, most merchandise is very expensive and my favorite Barber Josè is retiring. Their alcohol selection is better than expected and theyre always adding merchandise to their inventory.

The post Exchange always give you the best prices on things that you need for the house, your family and your pets! And you never pay tax on any of the items which you buy.

Deals arent great and neither is there a great selection of clothing. Although the items I purchase here are very durable and reliable. Most of the clothing is also very strong and long lasting. Trustworthy location for shopping but prices may be expensive.

There is not much to do on the base if you are visiting and the exchange has a few things but not much. Looks kind of all squeezed in together.
