Do not buy from this company! We purchased 2 Arts & Crafts reproduced sconces for over $1,500. They were poorly constructed. Braces on scones are crooked and cannot be straightened. One scone hangs at an angle despite trying to straighten it out. Product looks like a cheap Chinese knock off of the real thing. Tried to work with this company to replace them or receive a refund. They would not work with us!

Asked for a quote for an existing piece of hardware i asked to be replicated, they said they could only do so by physically sending the hardware i had to them. Horrible service. Weeks went by and i had to follow up to confirm they received it. They told me they did. Weeks later after no follow up i again asked for an update and they said they had the envelope i mailed, but that they did not have the hardware. They did not tell me that when they confirmed recival weeks prior. Time money and personal hardware pieces were all wasted in this process and never returned to me. Needless to say no transaction took place, nor will one occur in the future.

I ordered a brass mailbox. I spoke to their customer service (LOL!) who didnt bother to inform me that they did not have the item in stock. Nonetheless, they charged me full price plus exhorbitant shipping the day I ordered but never informed me they were out of stock and had NO IDEA IF AND WHEN THE ITEM WOULD BE IN. This is business negligence borderiing on dishonesty PLUS they told me it would be 30 DAYS before I receive my refund. Ill be going to the BBB website as soon as I hit post on this review.

Ouch! Be careful with this one unless you don’t mind being inconvenienced.Online, I purchased $260 of oil rubbed hardware. The package arrived well packaged, however, some of the screws were “all thread” and some were Phillips head. I need “all thread to complete the project.Customer service advised me to shop a local hardware store to get the “all thread” screws. Vintage Hardware does not have any extra “all thread” screws to match the hardware. It’s a hardware store, for God sake.In reminding the phone rep that I had spent $260 with their company and expected the correct screws to be mailed, I was refused.

Very disappointing experience and would not recommend especially if you are an overseas buyer. We bought very expensive handles only to find we couldnt get them to work correctly. We asked for help from Vintage and got very little assistance. It takes multiple emails to get a response. We send through a video as requested and were told they couldnt help. I have asked if I could return the items. Both emails have been ignored. We have had multiple professional trades try to get the handles working and they have said there is an issue with the handles. Not worth dealing these guys as if something goes wrong they wont want to know you.

What they sent me looked worse than a high school shop project. Purchased a mortise lock and privacy doorplate from their website. The mortise lock came with a lose part inside, I opened it to try to put it back in place, and found stunningly bad workmanship inside. They had taken a grinder to two of the pieces to convert a stock keyed lock to a privacy lock, and the person who did it must have had no professional machining experience. The privacy thumb plate that was bundled with the mortise lock on their website did not fit the mortise lock. When I called to ask about solutions, Victoria told me they couldnt accept the mortise lock once it has been opened. In other words, if you examine their work, you cant return the garbage they send you.

What a wonderful find in lovely Port Townsend! Plan on spending some time here, there are plenty of historic, unusual and rare finds to keep you entertained for a few hours. A couple must-sees while youre here are the art deco lighting museum on the upper floor and the bathroom (yes, the bathroom!) which is appointed with art deco fixtures worth checking out. If you are in or near Seattle, take the scenic drive out to Port Townsend and visit this charming place.

Awesome customer service. I had a Moroccan light set organized and fixed for US light bulbs and to hang from a ceiling fixture. It turned out beautifully and was a more than reasonable price. Thanks so much. I would highly recommend Vintage Hardware & Lighting!

I ordered a $74 Victorian screen door latch kit. When it arrived I discovered that the dimensions did not quite fit the door, so I called and scheduled a return. When I returned the parts they were refused, and sent back to me. I was told all the parts needed to be in their original bags, and that the parts had arrived scratched. I did not install the parts, certainly did not use them. When they arrived I unwrapped them and carried them to the door, and then discovered they would not work, so I packed them back together with tissue paper and sent them off. Now I am stuck with a $74 latch kit that will not fit any of my doors. The company had no satisfactory resolution for me. I will never order from them again, and advise you to consider alternatives before you use this company.

Absolutely, without exception, this is a remarkable antique shop. They also carry high end hardware accessories. Find unique and numerous selections of kitchen knobs. We found outdoor brass numbers for our home, which we truly appreciated. The service is incredible.

If you want reliability and good customer service, do not go here.I would give 0 stars if I could...I dont normally write reviews, but my only hope is I can stop someone else from making the same mistake we did.We ordered 4 castors in December, they shipped the wrong ones. So, we started the process for an exchange - it is now FEBRUARY and we are STILL trying to receive 4 small castors that we ordered in December!Multiple phone calls later and extremely confusing conflicting answers every single phone call, the latest answer is they are now on back order for 30 days (which doesnt match up to the other stories received, such as the one I received a few weeks ago that they were shipping next week?!). Honestly, quite a joke of a company..No one there has ANY idea what is going on. They all either put you on hold and tell you something COMPLETELY different than when you called in the week before, or tell you theyll call you back and never do (happened to me twice). So, shop at your own risk... if you have months to wait and hours to spare of calling trying to get answers, then go for it!

NEVER AGAIN. Awful product and even worse customer service.I purchased five brass privacy locks from Vintage Hardware. They were for a clients home and they cost $687.50. When the locks arrived, they looked like the photo but they barely functioned. You couldnt move them without difficulty. The client and the builder rejected the barely-functioning locks, so we shipped them back to Vintage Hardware at our expense. Without a word, they mailed the barely-functioning locks back a couple weeks later. First red flag. We contacted them by email and they claimed the barely-functioning locks worked as they should. Second red flag. We emailed back and forth with Victoria at Vintage Hardware for weeks after that, since she would only respond about once a week. Third red flag. She told us that the barely-functioning locks were now outside their 30-day return policy and we were stuck with them. Fourth red flag. After we begged and pleaded, she offered us store credit minus a 25% restocking fee for the barely-functioning locks. Fifth red flag. (Why in the world should we have to eat the cost on these expensive barely-functioning locks and on return shipping and on second return shipping and on re-stocking fees? And why would we ever want store credit at this point?) Still, we shipped the barely-functioning locks back a second time, again at our expense. Victoria has not responded to any of our emails for weeks now. What a way to treat trade customers! We will never purchase anything from Vintage Hardware again.

I purchased a beautiful, but faulty doorbell online. It would only ring if you pushed hard and wiggled it around at the same time. When I contacted the store to request a replacement part, they refused to send me one free of charge. Instead I was forced to pay for it (though they did waive the shipping fee). I suspected the replacement part would exhibit the same fault as the first, and I was right. Now I will have to post a sign on how to use the doorbell for it to ring. The only reason I gave more than one star, is that the doorbell looks so nice. Shop elsewhere.

I found a piece that I loved. i called and asked if it didnt fit could I return it. I was told yes, they didnt tell me any of their rules to return though. it took over two weeks to get to me. their return policy says 30 days from their ship date. I literally opened the envelope leaving the plastic intact, saw it would not fit and sent it back. during the time it was sent back was christmas, new years, and a major storm that crippled the east coast. since it didnt make it within their time frame they took 20% restocking fee. seriously ended up being $20 to put an outlet cover still in its original wrapping back into a box? NEVER AGAIN!

Beware of this company, owners are not honorable, or reasonable. I say this because of a recent purchase where a return was requested for product in 100% new original un opened condition and they would not issue a refund. If you look close at their policy, these items are excluded from return. However, they dont tell you that anywhere on the product page or shopping cart that you are about to purchase one of these items. I am Very dissatisfied, you would think the owners would have more pride and common sense to take care of customers. Now I am out over $200!

I purchased an antique style push button light switch online. It took over a week and a half to arrive and was actually rusty on the inner metal areas. The buttons themselves had like a hair trigger. I could imagine shutting a door near the switch and it would most likely switch on/off on its own. I contacted them for a refund and not only did they make me pay for return shipping, but they did not refund my original shipping charges. Its not like I just didnt want the switch or changed my mind. It was faulty and full of rust. I will never purchase from here again and I suggest you shouldnt either.... only if you want to take the gamble of receiving bad products and having to pay to ship them back... horrible customer service.
