The Broken Spoke is a great bike shop. The owner and his staff were extremely helpful with the process of buying a new bike and using the finance program that they have. They are very friendly, professional and helpful. They spent a lot of time with me making sure everything was right. They also answered all of my questions and I had a lot of them. I highly recommend this shop.

We hadnt ridden bikes in many years, needed a lot of info & encouragement. We are thrilled with our new Treks. Dan spent a lot of time with us, patiently answering questions & getting us set up with our bikes, also accessories to keep us safe. We also felt well served by Megan & Pete. The Broken Spoke is a very well run operation & we are grateful.

I was super excited when I finally found the bike I have been searching for for over a year. After having my husband install my rack and fenders I bought for it, I got on for the inaugural first ride. And then my pedal flew off. It was never fully put on. They fully put on the other pedal, this one…just a couple threads. As you can see in the photos it ruined the threading. Instead of driving back there, which is a 2 hour drive, we are having to fix ourselves. Seriously disappointed.Yes, I should’ve done a full inspection before riding, but when they are required by Trek to put together the bike (their words, I offered to just take it in the box and that was not an option) you shouldn’t have to worry about things not being fully put together.

The Broken Spoke. Excellent! I cant get parts or people to work on my bike expediently in Redmond so when I need work done we make it a day and take the journey to Port Townsend. I sold my car and use my ebike as my only mode of transportation so when it breaks (or I break it) it is stressful. I felt like the lady that worked on my bike really understood this and worked hard to fix the problems and get it back on the road. As I said, Excellent and thank you for the great service.

I had dealt with the broken spoke for a number of years on repairs to my bike, and had found them to always be very helpful, friendly, and reasonable in their fees. So when it came time for me to buy a new bike, this is the first place I thought of. Pete was very helpful in helping me select my new bike, a Trek dual sport 2. I ordered the new bike and it came in 1/2 month earlier than expected. Upon my picking the bike up, I found it had been assembled nicely. Megan pointed out all of the features of the bike and explained everything very thoroughly. I would highly recommend this store to anyone either looking for a new bike or a good place to get repairs on an existing bike.

Went in to get a tune up and new rim and they tried to charge me 300 bucks just for parts. I can see why people like their service as they are quite capable of smiling in your face as they stab you in the back. Went down the road to P.T. Cyclery where I was charged less than 100 bucks for parts and installation

Friendly and knowledgeable staff were able to give me good advice regarding buying a new bike. They have a modest yet very diverse selection of bikes Including road both aluminum and carbon. They have hard tail, full suspension and electric mountain bikes. They have cruisers also with an electric option. They also have biking shoes clothes and accessories galore. They also have many levels of bike tune up options from just fulling up the tiers to a total overhaul. Over all a ten out of ten experience and i was glad to support local businesses like this one.

Called to see if they had a certain size inner tube with a shrader valve. After checking, I was he told yes, but for some reason he didnt sound confident so I informed him I was driving aways and he assured me he had one. Well, they didnt have one with the valve I wanted. Had to buy an adapter. Nice folks, attentive.

Pete S was incredible. We had a problem in the middle of a bike tour over the Memorial Day weekend. There were many customers and limited staff, and it was toward the end of what was clearly a long and very busy day. Pete somehow managed to juggle multiple customers, give us great advice, let us take our time with our decisions, and maintain a cheerful helpful attitude despite all the demands on his time. He was even kind enough to fix another issue with my bike while he had it up installing pedals. I was thrilled with what we purchased--it worked great for the rest of the trip, and will be excellent for the long term. I was blown away by the fantastic service we received.

Covid-time has led to a kid-bike shortage, and replacement parts are even more difficult to track down. If youre looking for a part, give these guys a call, they might just have it! They hooked us up with a 20 tire; the only shop within 50 miles of Seattle to have one on in stock! They made the purchase over the phone super easy and pick up was just as seamless. Worth the (day) trip!

I have not found a question they could not answer nor a problem they could not solve. Their service is reasonably priced and fast, fast, fast. Lets make sure they stay here. I was visiting Port Townsend for about a week seeing my parents. I wanted to take this opportunity to ride the trails in the Great PNW. Renting a bike from The Broken Spoke was a seamless experience. They provided a top-notch bike (2019/2020 Trek Fuel EX 8) ànd told me where to find the best local trails. The only reason my rating wasnt 5 stars, was the price. There are other shops where the trails are located, renting quality bikes at a daily rate $20 cheaper. The Broken Spoke is by far your best option in PT.

Everyone working here goes the extra mile. They support the youth in this town in so many ways including many gratis quick fixes for bmx and mountain bikes. Weve bought two new bikes here and recommend them highly. Owner Pete can be seen riding with various groups around town or on our many trails - even leading trail maintenance days! Professionalism and quality are common descriptions of this shop.

Under most circumstances its not great when youre on a bike tour and you get two flats in a day and your tire pump fails. But if it takes you to this bike shop, then your bad luck becomes a blessing. Thanks to two heroic locals and to Dan who did much more for my bike than just fix the flats, I was able to finish the last stretch of my journey up to Canada with ease. Cant say enough good things about the people that work at the Broken Spoke. First time I used them was during the first month of the shutdown and they helped me with my tire problems. Then I decided to have them change my tires over to tubeless that is when we found another problem, a big one. But they did a great job, just like before and I am back on the trails again. This is an awesome bike shop, they take care of repairs quickly, on the spot and they know how to fix anything. Prices are very reasonable. They have all types of bikes from kids to race to electric to hybrid. The shop also helps local youth bike riders and sponsors a group of local mountain bike racers.

Everything was great until I realized we didnt have fenders on our rentals on a rainy day. I mentioned it when we returned and showed them my backpack, with a broad streak of dirt on it, along with my dirty pants. I expected to get wet, not filthy. They just told me they had only been doing the rentals since the spring, so they didnt know if they would add fenders for the rainy season....and then with no more acknowledgement and no apology (aka no customer service) the person I was speaking with walked away....based on that alone I wont return. Too bad cuz it was great up until then!

Ive never been disappointed with my service here, which isnt something I can say about other bike shops ive visited over the years.
