I want to compliment Doctor Nightingale Au.D. and the staff at Peninsula Hearing in Port Townsend. From the friendly Hello I received when I walked into the waiting room, to the professional exam that I had, I was treated with patience and respect. Having difficulty hearing can make a person vulnerable to people dismissing them for not understanding. Even with a face mask, Dr. Nightingale, made eye contact and completely focused on me. I was very impressed and will continue to use their services and definitely recommend them for hearing related issues.
I wish to share a most wonderful experience with Kathy and Emily in the front office of Peninsula Hearing at the Port Townsend office!!!I am a veteran having to wear hearing aids due to military action of the past. Had just been issued new hearing aids along with a charger! Well, neglectful left the charger at home and if talking with me it’s like ones talking to no one but yourself!!! Anyway, Figured on paying for charging services for a few days!! No!! Just had to delivery and pickup in 2-3 hours for battery to be charge! Great people to be dealing with!! Reading other reviews….definitely 5 Stars recommendation !!!
My experience with Peninsula hearing actually started two years ago. I made the mistake in not sticking with the testing. I have suffered from tinnitus for more than 25 years due to my career in construction. When I turned 60 last year I had enough of the constant ringing in my ears. I went back to Peninsula for another test, my hearing did get worse. The staff treated me with compassion and Megan was terrific. I decided to get hearing aids and I wasn’t convinced because I am a health 60 year old with a macho attitude. When I was finally fitted with my new ears, I walked outside and it was emotional for me. I heard birds for the first time, bad part was I also heard noises in my truck I never heard before. My wife of 36 years was very loud and now has to learn to speak quieter with me.Life changing doesn’t really describe how this has changed my life. The hearing aids they fitted me with, are very small and you can’t really see them. My daughter was also very surprised at how invisible they really are. I should have done this years ago. DON’T wait if you have hearing issues. It will change your life too. Peninsula hearing was a fantastic place that cares about their patients!
Dr. Jacob was attentive and thorough and explained why he was recommending a visit to the ENT specialist. Im glad he did, and I am pleased with the service I received.
Dr barber. lied to me he did not have a hearing aid available. and had me pay ahead saying I had 60 days to make a decision. I never saw a hearing aid and he kept my money. $1664. for nothing. I I had cancelled in 4 days. zero stars.
My husband has suffered from tinnitus for many years. This past year it had gotten to the point of throwing him into a severe depression. He was having trouble dealing with day-to-day activities. The ringing and rumbling in his ears had driven him to desperation. Then he visited Megan Nightengale at Peninsula Hearing in Port Townsend. After doing research regarding new technology in hearing aids, calling Megans office, and asking many questions, he made an appointment with her. He was due for new hearing aids and was hopeful Megan could help with the tinnitus.Megans specialty is tinnitus. It is her lifes work to improve her patients lives. Megan suffers from tinnitus herself. She fully understands what somebody who has tinnitus is going through. She improved my husbands quality of life with her hearing aid recommendation, which addressed tinnitus as well as improved his hearing. My husband and I cannot recommend Megan highly enough. She truly cares about the people she treats.
These people are dishonest. My wife is a 76 year-old woman and suffers from hearing loss. She purchased hearing aids from Peninsula Hearing in Port Townsend, WA on May 29, 2018 and signed a contract that specified that she could return them within 45 days for a full refund if she was dissatisfied with them. After trying them out for a week, she experienced significant pain and itching and returned them. She was given new and different hearing aids which she tried with the same result: great pain and itching. Additionally, neither device worked properly or provided her with relief from her hearing problem. She communicated her concerns to Peninsula Hearing and was told to push through it. This is not acceptable. Furthermore, Peninsula Hearing was uncommunicative and unhelpful as if they were trying to run out the clock. On July 16th my wife said she wanted to return them but was told she was two days too late! The 45 day trial did not begin on May 29th, when she first got the device, but on June 8th, the date she was given the second(and different) hearing aids.Since July 16th, Peninsula Hearing has stonewalled her even though she has paid $4,800 and received a totally inadequate and dangerous product. She has since returned the devices and has demanded a refund without any response from the company.Peninsula Hearing has shown bad faith and dishonesty while preying on a vulnerable and elderly citizen. One star.
I have really bad tinnitus the devices I got from Peninsula Hearing have made an amazing change in my life. The staff is always helpful and friendly!!
Nice people, very patient with my mother-in-law.
